scarlet johannson did not spend an entire decade fighting tooth and nail to make natasha into an actual character instead of the sex object writers wanted her to be while also having to endure the most vile, misogynistic questions during press tours for people to now disrespect her legacy because yelena is 'better'. the only reason why that is, is because of everything scarlet went through. natasha singlehandedly paved the way for every other female superhero in the mcu and don't you forget that

when we were drunk last night i asked one of our friends to ask her if she likes me back when we were already sober— she doesnt. any tips of what should i do to forget about her and move on?
I HATE being in love with my best friend because she acts like shes in love with me when we are drunk, kissing me (and doing nsfw things), holding and caressing my hand in secret, saying that she wants to date me. but when we are sober she changes completely, she doesnt even stay close to me and acts so cold. wish i could stop these feelings
😭 another canon event for a sapphic i guess

and if you do choose yelena could you make her and natasha sisters thank you!!!
lose your power

(daughter!reader × moms!wandanat & fem!reader × bishova)
warnings: all platonic, violence
a/n: okay, this request has been in my inbox for probably over a year, almost two - like all the others - but tysm!!! <3 and i promise i'll get back to writing (or not)
-> my masterlist
“No! Absolutely not!” Natasha was the first to speak after Nick Fury told the details of the mission in which you, Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova, your aunt, were summoned. You didn’t know how in the end your mother let you despite her great arguments - it was your first mission and you had just turned 18, Kate is a child, even if she is 23, and Yelena wouldn’t be able to handle the two of you. Even so, you knew that there was no way anything could go wrong. You had the same powers as your other mother, Wanda, she taught you how to use them perfectly and trained you every day so that nothing would go wrong.
Your mother didn't have a good childhood, no one protected her from the horrible things that were done to her. So, she always did the opposite with you, she protected you from everything that could go wrong. But, when the frustrated sigh left Natasha's mouth, you celebrated knowing that she had finally let you accompany them on the mission. You knew why she was so defensive about you not going. Natasha was always very protective of you, so any situation that put you, even the slightest bit, in danger areas, she would do everything to make you feel comfortable.
A few minutes before you, your aunt and Kate got into the Quinjet to finally leave for the mission, your mother Natasha was talking seriously to Yelena. You weren't listening, but you knew she was telling your aunt to protect you at all costs, not to leave you alone for too long in those dark and cold rooms, and to definitely bring you back in one piece.
Unlike Natasha, Wanda seemed too excited about your first mission. "I'm so, so proud of you!" She left several kisses on your head while speaking words of love to you. "Everything ready, Darling?"
“Mhm, we just have to wait for Mom to stop talking to Auntie Yel about protecting me.” Your Mama chuckles, stroking your hair behind your ear. She leaves one more kiss on your head before turning to Natasha and giving her a ‘they need to go’ look.
[...]
“Okay, so it’s a simple mission, we’ll be able to complete it easily. There will probably be some Hydra agents but we’ll be able to take them all down,” Yelena says as she puts some bullets from her gun into the pockets of her vest. You nod during her speech, feeling bubbles of emotion coming out of you, shaking a little.
“This is the first time I’ve heard you give that positivity speech, Yelena.” Kate murmurs beside you as the three of you wait at the exit of the Quinjet in front of the almost abandoned Hydra building. You chuckle softly when you hear the irritated sigh coming from your aunt, it seemed like the two of them would never stop pecking at each other.
“First of all, I’m doing this because my niece is here and she’s almost bursting with nerves.” Yelena points a finger in front of Kate, who quickly lowers her head. “Second of all, shut up, Kate Bishop.” You laugh quickly before being startled by the sound of the large door opening.
Your aunt sends you a comforting smile, quickly ordering you and Kate to follow her. “Everyone remembers where to go, right?” You and the dark-haired girl nod, your hands getting wetter with sweat. “Are you sure you’ll be okay by yourself?” Yelena turns to you, a soft, caring look on her face.
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
Your footsteps were the loudest thing in that room at the base. You walked calmly and always paying attention, just like you had learned in your training. The three of you were looking for some necessary files that Nick Fury had asked for. You were working in the part of the base where it would probably be the calmest, according to him, but even so you felt your emotions on your skin, almost afraid of what could happen from now on. Your aunt checked to see if everything was okay with you and Kate every five minutes. Despite not being considered the most affectionate person in the world, Yelena would take a bullet for you.
“Shit, I hear voices.” Kate mutters to the two of you on the coms, making you stop quickly in place. Despite being far from the two of them, your breathing became heavier and your ears alert. “There are like a million of them here.”
Yelena mutters something to herself, probably a curse, you thought. “Don’t move and don’t make any noise, Kate.” Belova commands as you can hear her deep, heavy footsteps through the devices in your ears, indicating that your aunt was coming to Bishop’s side to help her. “Beep me on your location, Bishop.”
”I’m coming to help too,” You mutter quickly into the coms, trying to get your breathing and heart rate back to a regular rhythm. You get back on your feet before you even finish speaking, locating Kate’s position and preparing yourself for the amount of Hydra agents that would be there.
“Stay exactly where you are, Y/n.” Yelena’s voice was almost muffled, heavy. “Don’t even think about coming near here, Kate and I will take care of this.”
No, you couldn’t let the two of them fight hand-to-hand combat with all those Hydra agents Kate had described. Even though your aunt and Bishop had much more experience than you, knowing exactly what to do, you were still afraid. And even though you trusted them completely, you knew you couldn’t let them go alone. Your powers would easily help you take down all those agents, but with Yelena’s protection, she would never let you get close to danger.
“Okay…” You obviously lied, walking towards the chaos that was about to begin.
You could still hear Yelena and Kate talking through the coms, drawing up a plan against all those Hydra agents. Your steps were soft and calculated, almost as if you were mentally training to recharge all your magic and your training that had been calculated during the last year. You felt the red power bubbling in your fingers and in your blood, ready to be used at any cost against the enemies present in that building. At that moment, you remembered your mother Wanda. She was probably trying to distract Natasha, who was probably freaking out waiting for your arrival.
“Yelena! I need help!” Your thoughts are interrupted by Kate’s screams in your ears. You can hear grunts and gunshots, probably from Yelena, making you run even faster.
When you arrived at the scene, some of the Hydra agents were dead, but, as Kate said, there were like a million of them there. You could glimpse the purple of Bishop’s uniform and your aunt’s blonde hair, hearing the grunts and gunshots from both them and the agents there. Your mind was racing and you could feel the heat of your power in your veins, insisting that you do something, even if it went against Yelena’s wishes.
You closed your eyes tightly and began to concentrate, trying to leave the sounds of death and violence behind, almost in silence. All the training you had received in the last few years came to your mind, remembering the words and steps your mothers had taught you, especially Wanda. Your fingers began to tingle with red magic, your head ached and your breathing became heavy. You raised your hands towards the Hydra agents, feeling your vision grow blurry and your legs failing. You threw your arms abruptly down, howling and your throat hurting as all the enemies fell lifeless to the ground.
The black dots in your vision began to grow larger, your feet began to fail and your red magic began to disappear from the place. The last thing you saw was your aunt Yelena running to your side, although you could see blood on both her and Kate, you were unable to recover and before falling unconscious to the ground, you felt your eyes roll up into your head and exhaustion finally overcame you.
[...]
When you open your eyes, you are startled to no longer be in the dirty and almost abandoned building. Your hands begin to hurt in the same place where your magic dissipated, spreading throughout the bodies of those agents. Your head throbbed to the point where it felt like it would explode at any moment, making you start to breathe deeply as you felt the cold air of that place, as if somehow that would help you.
The hospital room in the Compound was silent. Only the sound of your heartbeat could be heard. You make a little effort to sit up on the stretcher, placing your hands on your chest to try to ease the pain, which, even though it didn't seem to have been affected, was hurting somehow. Looking around, you see a small vase of flowers next to the bed, a chair with an unfinished book on top, and normal things that would probably be in a hospital room.
The sound of your room door opening makes you automatically turn your head to it. Your eyes were still a little blurry, making you see your mother Natasha's red hair as if you needed glasses. "Y/n?" She immediately runs towards you, placing the back of her hand on your forehead, then on your cheeks. "How do you feel, darling?"
"M'kay, Mom..." Your head follows your mother's hand, receiving her affection. "Where's Mama?" Your mother sighs, using her thumb to caress your face.
"She's been here all night, awake. I told her to take a shower and get something to eat, she'll be here in a bit." Natasha leaves a kiss on your head, taking her other hand to your hair, placing a strand behind your ear.
Now that your mother was closer to you, you could see the deep, dark circles under her eyes, the reddish hue of her hair, making you realize that your mother Wanda wasn't the only one who stayed up all night by your side. "I'm gonna get Dr. Cho, okay?" You nodded, almost going unnoticed by Natasha.
The doctor asked you questions: how you were feeling, if you remembered everything that happened. You managed to answer everything, even though you were still a little groggy, but your mother Natasha was by your side holding your hand for support. It didn't take long for the questionnaire to end and a few moments later your mother Wanda entered the hospital room.
“Oh, love.” You felt her arms around you before you even realized she was there. You could feel Wanda’s fast heartbeat, her quickened breathing on the back of your neck and the strong scent of her sweet perfume. “You’re okay…” She murmurs, more to herself than to you.
“I am, Mama. I told you I could do it.” Wanda chuckles, finally looking you in the eyes, which now had large bags of dark circles underneath.
“You’re really brave, you know that?” Her voice was soft, placing one of her hands on your cheek, caressing them, just like Natasha earlier. “Kate told me there were a lot of them.
“I learned from the best.”
“What about me?” You both didn’t even see Natasha coming through the door of the room, she was carrying a tray with some food that was definitely better than the ones in the hospital.
You laugh at the question before answering: “I learned from you too, Mom.” She places the tray in front of you, soon sitting next to you on the hospital bed. “How's Auntie Yelena and Katie?” Your voice gets a little lower with the question, almost whispering.
“They’re fine, Sweetheart,” Natasha answers, sensing your concern. When she found out what happened to you, she was angry, very angry with Yelena. But after checking on the two of them, she realized that if it weren’t for you, they would probably both be dead by now. “You really are a hero.” Your cheeks turn pink and a small laugh leaves your mouth.
“Natasha is right,” Wanda adds, leaving a kiss on your head. “We love you so much, forever, no matter what happens.” You look at your mothers with sparkles in your eyes and a huge smile on your face.
“I love you too, always.”

HOW YOU CAN HELP PALESTINE!
You don't know when it started, much less why it started. Maybe a few days ago, a month ago, maybe a year ago the signs that something was wrong started to appear. It was almost as if these feelings were always there, just hidden by a layer that was slowly removed and made everything more difficult. It seemed like there were days when you could easily deal with it, maybe ignoring it or just hiding it very well, you didn't know. But there were days that were more difficult. It was more difficult to get out of bed, your appetite was barely there, you didn't want to leave your room, just stay in darkness and total silence. Even though this silence made your head spin, it was better than anyone talking and making you even more depressed.
If someone asked the people closest to you if you were sensitive, you were sure that more than half of them would say no. They would talk about how you had a frozen heart, that you didn't cry when you watched a sad movie, that you didn't fall in love with the character when watching or reading a novel, that you didn't care when someone was fighting with you. But deep down, you knew it was a lie. You felt hard feelings most of the time, including when watching sad films. Maybe you just don't like showing the sadness and emptiness you feel. It makes you feel weak, worthless, and selfish, especially selfish. You shouldn't feel this way, not when you had the perfect life: a loving mother, food on the table, new clothes, and expensive sneakers. Then why?
You didn't really care that you felt depressed, you knew that eventually it would pass, just like every other time - even if that feeling came back some time later, even worse. It wasn't like anyone noticed and said anything to you, even though you were sure most of the adults around you blamed it on teenage hormones when they saw you sulking or just isolating yourself in your room all day. Maybe a few questions like 'are you okay?', even though they knew you would respond with something positive even if everything was falling apart. But there was always someone. Someone who knew that it wasn't just teenage hormones but something that was slowly consuming you. Wanda, your mother, was that someone, and she certainly didn't let those details slip.
The first time you actually showed that you were in a depressing state was on a random Thursday at six-thirty in the morning. Wanda didn't mind much in the first moments when you refused to get out of bed, it was normal for any teenager to not be able to stand school. But when you finally decided to show up for the morning in the Compound's kitchen, she was surprised. You had big black bags under your eyes that were tired and red, looking like you hadn't slept well that night and maybe you had been crying most of it. Wanda didn't take long to ask if something had happened and if you were okay, only receiving a murmur of something like ‘'m fine' before turning back to look at the emptiness of space. Tony who was nearby joked “Maybe the red eyes are because of something she used. Don't tell me you snuck out to a party, Mini Maximoff?”, you'd laugh on any other day, even replying something like 'Yes, I did some hard drugs at a party. How do you know?', but that wasn't the case. Stark laughed to himself after saying that sentence but soon the sound of his voice disappeared when he realized that you hadn't heard him and, apparently, nothing around you.
The second time was right after a mission Wanda had done. It was only three days away from you and everything seemed different when she came back. The first thing she noticed was that you didn't run into her arms when she stepped inside the Compound, much less respond to the messages she sent you a few hours earlier. Obviously like a worried mother she went after you, not taking long to find you in your room with all the lights off, two blankets around your body and how it looked like the things in your room had been in the same place since your mother left for the mission. She turned on the light in your room, hearing a soft growl leave your lips. You were awake and conscious, so it didn't make sense for you to want to be lying down and almost sinking into your mattress at four o'clock in the afternoon. She remembered when you were little and couldn't sleep if at least one light wasn't on, now it was ironic to think that you just lived in the darkness and emptiness of your room without fear that some monster would catch you, because no monster could hurt you like depression was.
Wanda couldn't count how many more episodes like those happened and lasted for several days. She was worried, very worried. She was afraid that you would end up doing something that would hurt you, end everything. It was obvious that your mother tried to ask you what was wrong, how she could help you, but you always said that you just woke up on the wrong foot that morning and that everything was fine. Of course, how were you going to tell her what was happening if you didn't even know. There was no reason for you to feel down like that and not even the absurd desire to just want to close your eyes and not open them again. And every day that passed, this dark hole you were in would get deeper and deeper. You knew you needed to ask for help before it was too late.
It was no longer strange when once again that week you had no will to live. You look at the clock next to your bed and realize that your mother would be coming to your room to call you for another day in two minutes and a few seconds. Just the thought of 'one more day' made you want to throw up the food you didn't even eat the day before, as that empty feeling made your hunger go away. But as much as vomiting, you wanted to cry, cry until you couldn't take it anymore. And it was no surprise when the tears started to fall and you couldn't stop. Even though you are not a loud person, trying to keep yourself in your own bubble, the sobs wanted to get out of your throat anyway.
“Darling?” Wanda didn't mind knocking on your bedroom door in the morning, since you would be sleeping, well, not at that moment. When she heard the choking sounds you were making to keep from crying, she didn't take long to run towards your body on the bed and get under your covers, pressing you against her chest giving the perfect comfort to let you know that you weren't alone. “Oh, my love.” Wanda has seen you cry, many, many times, but it was so different to see you cry as if you were drowning in a sea and needed help from someone, anyone. “It's okay, Mama is here.” With each passing minute it seemed like the tears were getting even bigger than before, but you tried to focus on Wanda's heartbeat as you placed your hand on her chest, making you feel calmer despite all the panic.
The lullaby that starts to leave her lips and go straight to your ear makes you start paying attention to the soft melody and not your terrible thoughts. The language Wanda sang in, Sokovian, was not understood by you, but you still remembered when she sang you to sleep on the days you had nightmares. It was as if Wanda was using her magic to calm you down, even though you knew she would never use her powers on you without your permission, but her voice was so sweet that it was more powerful than any of her red magic. Your breathing becomes soft and your movements slow, as if you were choosing the right words to get rid of that moment, but with your mother there it was almost impossible to lie.
“I wanna get help,” You murmur for just her to hear, despite there being no one else in the room with you two. “b-but I don’t even know why I’m like this.” Your crying had stopped, but you still choked to say a few words. Admitting those words out loud seemed like a challenge for you, and when you said them, a weight seemed to lift off your back despite not having yet deciphered all your feelings. And Wanda knew that. She knew how hard you were to avoid looking like a weak person even if you weren't, even if asking for help wasn't a sign of weakness but rather of improvement.
Your mother kisses your head, taking a few seconds before cupping your face and looking at it. “I'm so proud of you, my angel.” You didn't see pity or lies in the expression on her face. You didn't see disappointment and much less as if you were a problem for her. “I'm glad you want to ask for help, and I'm here for it, yeah?” You felt a little guilty when you saw a tear come out of your mother's eyes, but she was still smiling. The same smile you saw when you woke up, or when you told her some good news, or even when you told her a joke. Wanda never wanted you to feel anything negative about her. She never took out any frustration on you, never made you feel bad when you got a bad grade at school, or when you accidentally knocked a glass on the floor. “I will help you with whatever you need, my love. It will be slow, but I promise that the tightness in your chest will pass, okay?”
“I trust you.” She nods before pulling you into a hug that she knew you needed more than anything at that moment. The process would take a long time until you felt well again, you both knew that, but it was never too late. It's never too late to ask for help, because it's normal to need someone to pull you out of the dark hole sometimes, it's normal to not feel good all the time. Having feelings is normal, even if sometimes they are too deep, or too shallow. You just needed to realize that you were never alone, that people around care about you and will always want the best for you.
“I love you so much. Always remember that.”
“I love you too, Mama.”

pairings: parents!wandanat × daughter!reader
warnings: bad thoughts, self-deprecating reader, lots of crying, one agent who really needs to stfu - i think thats all!
a/n: tysm for the request my love! im so sorry for the delay in posting this one shot, my life has been very busy these last few months. and i dont think this one turns out the way u wanted it, because i already made one like your request but w mom!wanda but i hope u like it :3
HOW YOU CAN HELP PALESTINE!

You always saw yourself working for SHIELD. Being able to do missions and 'save the world' was something you always wanted to do. Having mothers who are considered super heroes was also something that made you inspired by this life, but you only saw it from the outside. How they were greeted by everyone or how it seemed so easy for them to do these hero things. But when you finally got what you wanted when you turned eighteen, it wasn't what you expected.
It was the third time in the last few days that you had messed up in a mission in which you were classified. The looks the other agents gave you at the Academy made you feel horrible. You obviously hadn't messed up the missions on purpose, you would never do that. But it seemed like all those people expected that every step you took would be right, that you would never make mistakes, and that you would be as good as your mothers. Your head hurt just thinking about it. And that thought led you to others, how ashamed you felt remembering how the other agents spoke mean words to you when, again, you messed up on the mission.
You tried to distract yourself from these types of self-sabotaging thoughts about yourself by training even harder. Punching and kicking the red cylinders using all your strength, and even after hours it still felt like you didn't feel good enough, strong enough. All you wanted was to just stop thinking for at least a few seconds, and when you heard those heavy footsteps you knew that wasn't what was going to happen. "Oh, look who's here!"
You didn't care about remembering that agent's name, but you remembered exactly her voice and face, because it was her who started the whispers about how you weren't like your mothers. How you spoiled the missions of the last few days of that week, how you will never be like them. "The daughter of the great Black Widow and the Scarlet Witch, even if it doesn't seem like it." You continue ignoring her presence there, massaging your fingers to continue punching the red bag. "Do they know how you failed this last week?"
She wasn't stupid to know how horrible your week had been, how the failed missions, the disturbances and all those other things were making you almost have panic attacks right there in front of everyone. "No." Your voice was low, because you knew that if you exerted the necessary strength to reach a greater height, the tears would fall without your permission.
"What do you think they will do when they find out how bad you are?" She starts to approach you with those boots with a high step, her head lolling to the side with a tone to tease you. A smirk on her sharp face, her gloved hands resting on her waist. All those little details made you want to scream in her face, tell her that you weren't bad, but how would you say that if you didn't even believe it yourself?
"Maybe they'll get you out of here when they see how bad you are and realize that any of the agents here are much better than you, your place as an Avenger is almost invisible.” The girl laughs, her cheeks almost covering her eyes due to the action. At some other time you would find her features extremely beautiful, but at that moment, you wanted to vomit just looking at her.
Even if you tried to be strong at that moment, like your mother Natasha, you couldn't. Your fists were clenched tightly trying to control the tears from coming out, the pain of your nails in the palms of your hands trying to distract you from that moment. And every time that Agent mentioned your mother's name, your thoughts directed you only to them, how you wanted to be in their arms right now while you feel your hair being stroked by Wanda's magical hands. You knew that if you wanted comfort from your mothers they wouldn't wait a second to give it to you, and even if you didn't want to talk about why you were feeling that way, they wouldn't force you to talk.
"Where are you going? Ruin another mission?” If it weren't for the high-pitched, irritating tone of her voice, you wouldn't have even registered those questions in your head. Your thoughts were in a totally different space from that place, just wanting your mothers affection. So when you started packing your things and totally ignoring that Agent, you knew that your body wouldn't stop until you got home.
The girl's laugh echoed throughout the room as you headed towards the exit door of the place. In films, this scene would be dramatic, as if the main character was planning some revenge in their head to end the character who keeps provoking them. But at that moment you weren't thinking about revenge, or how you would turn things around, you just thought about how your mothers affectionate touches would turn that bad week into just distant memories. How you were sure that your mother Wanda would know what to say to you and how Natasha would know what to do so that your surroundings were just comfort.
You didn't wait a second before getting on your motorcycle, which Natasha had given you as a gift for your 18th birthday, and heading towards your childhood home. Even though those bad thoughts were in your head now and could possibly distract you in the traffic on the streets, you continued on your way with your eyes soaked with tears and the horrible tightness in your chest. You tried to think of good things, like your mom Wanda would probably be baking chocolate chip cookies and your mom Natasha would just be watching, since cooking isn't one of her great talents, but that domestic situation was pretty far away for you. It seemed that any self-deprecating thought stood in the way, a great layer of ignorance about happiness.
You didn't bother to park the motorcycle correctly, just running towards the entrance porch and knocking, almost softly, on the door. You heard some sweet giggles through it, confirming that your mothers were in some domestic situation, before the door calmly opened and revealed Wanda's long red hair. Her smile opened for a few seconds when she saw it was you, their beloved daughter, but when she came across the features on your face, the reddish eyes with lakes over them, her smile soon fell apart, taking its place a worried look. “Sweetie? What happened, my love?"
She took no time in taking you into her arms, even though you didn't answer her question. Your head falls on your mother's shoulder as she wraps one of her arms around your waist and the other massages the hair spread across her chest. Your hands tightly grip the blouse stuck to Wanda's body, as if at any moment she would come off and no longer provide the comfort you needed. Natasha heard your sobs from the kitchen, and she knew they were yours, she knew and kept almost everything about you. She quickly heads towards the front door, seeing her wife's back being grabbed by you, and how your body looked like it would fall to the ground at any moment.
“Shh, it’s okay, you’re okay.” Wanda whispered in your ear with her sweet voice. Your crying was loud, as if you had kept it for several days, your mother thought. She didn't know and had no idea why you were sobbing uncontrollably and why you arrived so early that day. Normally you would be completing some report, or training, since you always said how strong you wanted to get. But at that moment, everything didn't seem strong to you.
At some point you were carried and taken towards the comfortable sofa in that house. Your thoughts were so loud that you didn't even notice when you were positioned on your mother Wanda's lap. She still kept her grip on his body and the affectionate words in your ear. “I need you to breathe for me, sweetheart. Can you do that for me?” Her breathing became heavier and slower, forcing it so that at that moment you could keep up with her. Natasha, beside you two, continued to caress your back, praising you for following Wanda so well.
You finally managed to take a deep breath after what felt like hours of crying and sobbing. Your gaze fell from your mother's eyes to your hands in your lap, you felt embarrassed. Maybe because you were 18 and sitting on your mother's lap, or because you were crying uncontrollably without being able to breathe properly, or because you failed at the only thing you wanted to do at SHIELD. “I feel like a baby.” You say in a low voice, almost making your mothers not hear, even with their proximity.
"Well, you're our baby." Natasha says making you finally let out a laugh between your lips. “Do you want to tell us why you're so sad, my love?” You didn't know if you wanted to tell them or not, the negative thoughts making you think they were going to fight you, tell you how bad you are. So, you shrug and lay your head on Wanda's shoulder again, but in a position so you could still look at your mother Natasha. “I just- I had a bad week.” You murmur, closing your eyes to feel the comfort that place brought you. “And, um… I think I should stop being an Agent.”
That took their mothers by surprise. You always said you wanted to be one of the people at SHIELD and you always trained to be one of the best at that place. “Oh, and why do you think that?” Wanda questions. Even though you didn't see her, you knew she would be looking at Natasha, as if they were talking through looks.
“I’m not good enough.” You felt Wanda's body tense beneath you. Your mothers always knew how much you felt like everyone was better than you, how hard it was to believe you were good at something. “This week I- I ruined every mission I went on,” Your mother's blouse was soaked with your tears, and now she could once again feel the salt water falling from your eyes through the fabric. “all the Agents are making fun of me because of it. They say I will never be like you.”
When you finish speaking, Wanda's grip on your body becomes even tighter, you feel Natasha's hand in your hair, stroking it as you hear her sigh deeply. “I've lost count of how many times your mother and I messed up a mission.”
“What?”
“There were several times when I blew up my teammates, for example, Uncle Tony was probably the one who received the most blasts.” Natasha says, making the three of you laugh at the words. “What about the times your mother mistook me for enemies and threw me out of buildings with her magic? We had to stop missions many, many times.” She emphasizes the word 'many', as if she were singing it.
“Remember when I joined the Avengers, Nat?” She was asking your mother, but she was talking so you could listen. “I was much older than you, Y/n/n, and I couldn't do half the things you do today at SHIELD, even with my powers.” She leaves a kiss on your head before continuing. “In every training session I did, I always ended up on the ground.” You laugh again, feeling much lighter than before.
”And you want to know something? I bet you were the one doing all the mission stuff, huh?” Natasha says. “Because if no Agent has ever made a mistake on a mission, then they aren’t real Agents.”
“Your mother is right, make mistakes is human, my love, and everyone will do it one day.” You feel your thoughts start to ease now. The tears stopped falling down your face and only lightness is in their place. Your mothers always knew what to do to make you feel good.
"You're right..." You finally admit, lifting your head from your mother's shoulder and looking at the two women in front of you, seeing nothing but affection and truths.
Wanda sits you down on the couch before getting up and ruffling your hair. "Now, don't worry your pretty head about that stuff and just think about the cookies that are going to go into your stomach in a little while that obviously weren't made by Natasha!"
"What do you mean by 'obviously’?" You laugh at that one scene, seeing Natasha's arms cross under her breasts as an indignant expression is placed on her face.
And at the end of the day you knew that you wouldn't have to worry about anything - just your mom's delicious cookies - and that you knew that your moms would never think about fighting or being upset with you. And Natasha would definitely make sure you didn't need to worry about that Agent who wouldn't leave you alone. That bitch will obviously never set foot in SHIELD again.

UR WELCOME OMG IVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE SO EXCITED ABOUT ONE OF MY ONESHOTS :333
Hello!! I was having some bad days recently, could u make a one-shot of moms!wandanat and reader with the reader having a bad week, and then Wanda and Natasha comforts reader? If you want to, of course!
enough for you
pairings: parents!wandanat × daughter!reader
warnings: bad thoughts, self-deprecating reader, lots of crying, one agent who really needs to stfu - i think thats all!
a/n: tysm for the request my love! im so sorry for the delay in posting this one shot, my life has been very busy these last few months. and i dont think this one turns out the way u wanted it, because i already made one like your request but w mom!wanda but i hope u like it :3
HOW YOU CAN HELP PALESTINE!

It seemed that any self-deprecating thought stood in the way, a great layer of ignorance about happiness.

pairings: parents!wandanat × daughter!reader (platonic)
warnings: angst, bad writing :P, crying, physical violence, hospital, natasha blames herself ;((, lots of love from moms <3
a/n: im really sorry it took me SO long to write this request, ive been having awful weeks and im really trying to write. anyway, i hope you like it and thank you very much for the request luv <333

When you decided you wanted to follow in the same footsteps as your mothers, they didn't react so well. You always trained with the Avengers, closely watching their next steps for any unforeseen circumstances and how good they were at what they did. And you especially loved seeing Wanda and Natasha fighting, they have been your inspiration since you were little and understand each other.
You remember when you asked your mother Natasha to start going on missions, even if it was the easier ones that would only take a few hours, and you could swear you saw her eyes light up with regret. Not that she didn't trust you, but both Natasha and Wanda knew that any mission would be dangerous and the last thing they wanted was to leave you hurt or for anything bad to happen to you. So, you started to train even more and show how much you dedicated yourself to going on one of these missions and, as your mothers knew you so well, they knew that you wouldn't give up until you went on one of them.
"Fury allowed you to go on this mission with one of us," Natasha was sitting in front of him next to Wanda in the meeting room. You couldn’t hide the smile on your face, your legs shaking because you were so excited for your first mission. "It's an easy mission where you just have to investigate and collect some important information in an old Hydra base." You nod listening to every detail of what you needed to do.
"Fury assured us that there will be no one and no agent, but for your safety you will carry a weapon, okay?" Wanda, your other mother, spoke this time. She also seemed to be a little worried about your first mission since she remembers very well what it's like to be in the hospital bed after one or see anyone else in it. Just imagining you in that position makes her body shiver.
Your mothers start to tell you some information about what you should know and what would happen. Even though the mission was so easy and simple, Wanda decided that it would be better if Natasha accompanied you, since if she went along she might end up getting so nervous that she would faint. And even though you assured that you would be careful, she made you hug her for at least five minutes, stroking your hair and giving you all the comfort you would need for that mission. "I love you so much my love."
"I love you very much too, Mama." You felt Wanda leave a long kiss on your hair as you laid your head on her shoulder. "I promise everything will be fine."
She laughs and takes a deep breath. "I'm the one who should be saying this. But you're right, my love." You separate from her and see that her eyes were full of tears.
Even though it seemed a little dramatic, you knew that Wanda was very close to you. Whenever your mother missed you because you were only away from home for a few hours, you remember when Natasha told you that when it was your first day of school when you were a toddler, Wanda didn't want to let you go at all. And now several years later, she still reacted the same way.
"Alright, we better go before Wanda makes us give up." Natasha says, making her other mother roll her eyes before walking towards her, leaving a long kiss on her lips.
"Ew, not in front of me." You make a disgusted expression at them, even if it was just a joke. You've always admired how much your mothers are in love with each other and how much they show it on a daily basis. Wanda always preferred physical affection to love Natasha, and Romanoff always preferred acts of service to love Maximoff. And even though they were different things, the two never disliked these acts.
"One day it's going to be you, sweetheart." They giggle before hugging each other as they say 'I love you'.
[...]
Your hands sounded as you entered the Hydra base. A gun in hand as you looked in every corner of that place. You felt like something was out of position, but you tried not to worry. Maybe it was just your anxious conscious or maybe you were just too nervous. The noise of your heart was too loud and the only thing you heard was the faint footsteps of your boot on the ground. And even though you tried to focus on what was happening there at the moment, it seemed like now all of your mother Wanda's nervous genes were in you.
"I think I found it, Mom." You speak into the device in your ear, Natasha listening on the other side. She praises you, sending a wave of comfort to your mind that seemed to be trying to sabotage you at that moment.
You quickly place the pen drive in the computer and see the percentage of how much was transferred appear on the screen. You hold the gun tightly in your hands as you scan the place, looking at every possible corner. You walk to your right calmly, trying not to make too much noise in your tall black boots. And when you were about to take the next step, a big tud behind you made you turn around quickly, still with the gun pointed forward. "Mom, I just heard a noise-" And before you could finish speaking, the lights in the place went out completely, the energy going out.
"Y/n- need- leave-!" The device in your ear was getting stuck a lot, loud noises disturbing what little you could hear. Natasha tried to say something, but you almost couldn't hear, leaving you alone with your own thoughts.
With all the training you had you tried to stay as calm as possible. Even if you couldn't see if someone or something was with you, your ears tried to capture any sound coming from that space, but with the device in your ears it was almost impossible. You knew that if you took it off it would be a big risk if your mother ever managed to talk to you again. But it would also be a risk not to hear what was around you.
You debated with what you should do or not do, but it was too late when two large arms grabbed your body from the ground. You let out a startled scream when you realize what is happening. Your reflexes are quick as you forcefully push your elbow into the stomach of the stranger behind you. He staggers back, making you fall to the ground, but before you can do anything, a kick lands in your belly. You hit your head on the ground, making your vision even blurrier. Your gun was still stuck in your hands, so the first thing you do is aim forward and shoot, when you hear a male scream of pain you know you hit him somewhere. "You bitch!"
You don't realize what's happening when he takes a gun out of his pants and also shoots. You scream in pain when the bullet pierces your arm that was holding the gun, it wasn't very deep, but the pain was too horrible. And even if you tried, you couldn't raise your arm to shoot the guy again. You start to crawl backwards trying to get away from the figure that you still couldn't see in the dark and prayed that he couldn't see you too.
But when you started to hear his heavy footsteps towards you, you knew there was nothing left to do.
[...]
Wanda felt her heart stop when she heard the doctors moving around in the Compound. Someone had been hurt on some mission a few hours after you and Natasha left. Maximoff was shaking as she waited for the injured person's Quinjet to pull up, and even though she asked any of the doctors who the unlucky one was, it seemed like she was invisible to them. It seemed like they didn't want to respond to watch her heart break into a million pieces.
Wanda felt so nervous that she thought maybe she was going to faint. Thinking that the extremely injured person, since the doctors were going almost crazy to get everything they needed, could be you or Natasha, made her want to throw up her entire lunch right there. And when the car appeared in their vision, Wanda moved even closer, continuing to give the doctors space to do their work.
When the big door opened, the first thing your mother saw was Natasha with some bruises on her face along with tears that still fell on her pale face. Romanoff held you in her arms. One of them put pressure on your arm to stop the bleeding, but even so, you seemed to be bleeding from other places as a pool of blood was being spilled by Natasha's suit. Your body was unconscious and heavy in your mother's hands, your face completely scarred with cuts and bruises all over it. And even if your mother tried to look at your fragile and small body, she couldn't.
Maximoff lets out a grunt when she sees that you were the current patient. Seeing how Natasha staggered with you in her arms was one of the worst sights she could have had. You being placed on the stretcher while the doctors took you to surgery as quickly as possible was in her nightmares, and now, she could feel firsthand how horrible that was. Natasha follows the crowd of people, finally coming across her wife there. Romanoff didn't wait a second to throw herself into Wanda's arms as the two allowed the tears to fall. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry-"
"Shh- it's not your fault, Natasha." Wanda tried to calm her down, even though it was almost impossible since she also needed comfort. "Y/n is going to be fine, it's okay."
"I- I couldn't get there in time. She was in- in a huge pool of blood and this guy was-" Natasha couldn't finish speaking before her eyes started bursting with tears again as she recalled the scene of you barely conscious on the ground while the Hydra agent kicked you mercilessly. Blood smeared everywhere and your face full of tears was what she saw every time she closed her eyes, it was horrible.
It took Wanda a few minutes to get Natasha to calm down. Despite many other occasions being the opposite, Romanoff has always shown how concerned she is about you. But seeing you and having to carry you almost dead in her arms was another thing entirely, and one that will probably haunt her forever. Natasha had the beginning of a panic attack there, with her blood on her suit and on her hands, but Wanda, knowing her wife, managed to make her feel like she was on the floor again.
A few hours had passed since you entered that operating room, and knowing that it would take a long time for the doctors to stabilize you, Wanda took care of Natasha, cleaning her body and putting her in more comfortable clothes to wait for you sitting in the waiting room. Your mother was able to breathe normally now, even though the tears hadn't stopped falling from both of their faces. Natasha felt her body want to sleep, but her mind wouldn't let her, not when you were fighting for your life in the next room.
Wanda runs her hand affectionately through Natasha's red hair that reminded her of your own. Her head on her shoulder as she felt her wife's body relax but then become rigid again, but even if Maximoff tried, she wouldn't be able to make Natasha relax. "Remember that time Y/n fell down the slide and broke her arm? She didn't even cry." Wanda spoke so softly that any outsider who saw it would think she wasn't as nervous as her wife.
"Yeah... she even asked you to break her arm with your magic so she could put a cast on it again so she could draw on it." Natasha laughs remembering when you were seven years old, you were probably the happiest child in the world.
"She's so strong," Wanda murmurs as she presses a kiss to Natasha's red hair and she closes her eyes taking a deep breath. "I know she'll make it out of this."
And when Maximoff stopped talking, one of the doctors who was participating in your surgery enters the room. Natasha was now more than awake, her body jumping up towards the man in the white coat. Wanda doesn't take long to join her either, rambling questions to the doctor over and over again. "Everything went well in the surgery to remove the bullet from Y/n's body, despite the heavy blood loss." Romanoff holds her wife's hand while listening to him talk about your conditions, squeezing it every time she feels like her heart is going to come out of her mouth. "Unfortunately, due to the severe injuries to her head, she was caused a brain injury called a concussion."
"Oh, God. She's going to be okay, isn't she?"
"Don't worry, Mrs. Maximoff. Concussion is a very common thing for people to experience and usually with a few weeks of medical treatment and rest she will feel well again." The two women were finally able to take a deep breath without feeling that nervousness in their chests. "You just need to pay attention to some symptoms she may have, such as headache, mental confusion, sometimes memory loss, nausea, vomiting, excessive fatigue and some other things that you will probably notice. With the treatment I am sure that Y/n will recover much better.”
Despite all these things you might feel, they were relieved that you were okay. And they knew you would recover quickly, your genes coming from Natasha and Wanda weren't just anyone, you were strong and everyone knew it. And even if they thought that way, nothing would prepare them for seeing you lying on the stretcher. Your body was so fragile and small there, your eyes looked so tired despite being closed and the cuts on your face didn't help. The tubes coming out of your body weren't the prettiest, but it was what was helping you survive at that moment.
"My baby girl..." Wanda stroked your hair as she looked at you now slightly pale face. Her comforting touch would make you lean against her even more if you were awake, but that wouldn't be possible at the moment.
Natasha remained a little distant compared to Maximoff. She was scared, scared that if she made any move you would get hurt again, because in the redhead's mind everything that had happened was her fault. If she had checked to see if the area really was clean, if she had warned you as quickly as possible so you could get out of there, if she had arrived on time. "Nat?" Wanda knew what she was thinking, what she felt was written on the ex-assassin's face, and her wife had been with her for enough years to know what that mind was thinking.
In a few moments, Romanoff's body was enveloped in Wanda's affectionate and comforting embrace, who gently moved from side to side, holding her head against her shoulder while leaving a chaste kiss on her hair. Natasha knew that hug from anywhere, the hug that said everything was okay, that everything would fall into place again. Sometimes it took more than a hug for her to feel that, but sometimes she knew Wanda was right. "I w-want a hug too." Your hoarse voice was present at the scene, making your mothers quickly separate from each other.
"Y/n, my god! You scared me so much, don't ever do that again-"
"Wands, calm down, don't give her any more headaches." You chuckle along with your mother Natasha who was now holding your wife's hand. They walk towards your stretcher seeing that you still seemed to be a little disoriented with everything that happened, but even so you still had a smile on your face for them.
"How are you feeling, my love?" Wanda again made the same affectionate gestures to you as she sat next to you, feeling your body relax at her touch, but this time, you are awake enough to feel it.
"Headache and feeling like I might throw up at any moment."
"Ew." Natasha complains in a funny tone making you want to laugh at that moment, but having a headache would make things even worse. Romanoff still had an apprehensive tone on her face, maybe it was the guilt she felt she had or maybe it was seeing you in that place, with bruises everywhere.
"You aren't hurt, are you, Mom?" Even though you almost died with a gunshot wound to your body and a brain injury, it was obvious that you would care about others, especially if it was one of your mothers.
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me, sweetheart." Natasha moved a little closer to you, leaving a kiss on your forehead that was welcomed with a smile on your face. "I was so worried about you." She murmurs as Wanda places one of her hands on her wife's thigh, making small circles on it.
"I'm fine now, Mom. Thanks for going to save me." You put a small smile on your face in a funny way, trying to ease the tension of the hospital room.
"You know I'll always be here for whatever you need." Natasha wasn't just referring to helping you save yourself from physical violence, but she was also referring to helping you when you have any problems. Do you need a shoulder to cry on? She will be there. Do you need help completing a task? Don't worry, you know she won't take a minute to come to you. Problems with girls or guys? She will love telling you how she really knew the love of her life.
In those times when something difficult happened, your mothers knew how to comfort and help you. You had an unbreakable bond and that always warmed your heart. Realizing that you had people who more than cared about you by your side was incredible. Maybe for some other people it was strange to have two mothers, but you didn't care, because for you, it was an indescribable magic.

Could you write another one with Wanda as a mother? Like Y/N is being kind’ve clingy and they have a lot of cuddles? <33
come back, be here
pairings: mom!wanda × daughter!reader (platonic)
warnings: separation anxiety, sad reader, mentions of nightmares and blood, reader crying, aunt!natasha × fem!reader (platonic)
a/n: tysm for your request, darlingg <33 i had to add natasha to a large part of this one shot because it was what would make the most sense for the idea i had, anyway i hope that doesnt bother you ;))

The worst days for you were when your mother had to go on missions with the Avengers. You were obviously used to Wanda having to leave for these types of things, but it was still always a difficult time for you to say goodbye to her, even if the mission was short. And even a few times you tried to sneak into the Quinjet that would take the team to the mission location, but you were always discovered and had to deal with Tony Stark's lesson for having to be a very clingy teenager.
So, when your mother was called back for another mission you wanted to cry and fight so she wouldn't go, but you knew that even if you caused chaos she would still go. Wanda's work always demanded a lot of her time, and even though she couldn't give you enough attention, you somehow managed to be by her side and especially clinging to some part of her body. Wanda didn't complain most of the time because she knew how much you missed her on those days when she was away.
And at that very moment, since you couldn't hold onto any part of her, you clung to the pillow on her bed as you lay under her covers with her sweatshirt , patiently waiting for the Quinjet to arrive and you could finally hug her again. "Y/n you need to get out of that bed."
"No." You mutter to the annoying voice of Natasha Romanoff, your aunt, who was forced by Wanda to take care of you while she didn't get home from the mission.
"You're lucky I'm patient today. Get up." Natasha turns on the light in the room, making you groan due to the light in your eyes. She walks over to you and pulls the covers off your body, making you shrink even more. "My god, I really don't know how Wanda manages to deal with you every morning."
"I want my mama, not you."
"And you think I wanted to be here with you?" This fight and exchange of hatred between the two of you was obviously not true. Natasha was your favorite aunt and you were certainly her favorite too. "Get your stinky ass out of bed and go take a shower before your mother come here and I have to be lectured on how I can't take care of a child for even two days."
You grunt loudly again, followed by a snort, but you knew Natasha was right. Your mom would be arriving in a few hours and you were excited inside, even though on the outside it looked like you hadn't slept in a few days. Your sleep was constantly disturbed by bad thoughts that something could have happened to Wanda or by nightmares that made you cry softly in her bed. You didn't know if it was normal to have these types of things when your mother was only going to be away from home for two days, but you knew that you hated it and that you really missed Wanda by your side.
"I want her now." Natasha could fight with you and make you get out of bed, but when she heard your low, high-pitched voice due to the crying held in your throat, she knew it wasn't the best idea to argue with you.
Your aunt has always known that you are very close to Wanda, but it was strange for her to see a teenager crying because her mother was away from home for two days. Maybe she just didn't have a childhood with her mother and didn't know what this unparalleled longing you had was like. So, Natasha just let you release your emotions through your eyes while stroking your hair. And when you start sobbing from crying, as if there was almost no air in your lungs, Natasha starts to get even more worried. She wasn't the best person to comfort someone at that moment, so the first thing Natasha does is send a message to Wanda.
'Y/n needs you.' There wasn't much to say, because Wanda knew how you would probably be right now.
'I'll be there in five.'
Wanda spent the two days thinking about how you would be out of her presence and after receiving this message from Natasha she knew that you were not well. Her heart always broke when she saw you begging her not to go on missions, looking like you might faint if she did. So, she demanded that the Quinjet go to the Compound as quickly as possible and no one questioned why, since Wanda seemed worried enough that all the agents in that place knew that the reason would be you.
And in less than five minutes the Quinjet landed, Wanda not waiting a minute to run towards her room, knowing you would be there. She opens the door and the first thing she sees is Natasha standing there looking at you, she didn't know what to do and it could be comical if it weren't worrying. Your aunt looks at Wanda with a guilty look for not helping you with what you needed, but she still thanked the gods that your mother arrived so quickly.
"Thanks for taking care of her, Nat."
Wanda approaches you, seeing that your body was shaking and your eyes couldn't stop falling tears. Even though it was barely possible to hear any sound coming out of you, it was clear that you were worse than anyone could imagine. Your mother gets under the covers with you and doesn't take long to wrap her arms around your body, squeezing tightly so you can feel enough to get back to what was happening around you. It didn't take long for you to recognize the caress that was being made from your back to your head. "Mama?"
"Shh, it's Mama, my love." She spoke softly to calm you down even more, feeling you cling even tighter to her.
"I missed you so much." You managed to speak before burying your face in her neck, the smell of her making you stop shaking and even if you were wearing her hoodie, the smell would always be stronger on her body.
"I know. It's okay now." Wanda kisses your forehead, feeling your muscles relax in her body quickly making the tears finally stop coming from your eyes. "Can you tell me why you were crying, sweetheart?" Your mother knew it was because of her. Countless times this kind of thing had happened to you, and countless of them were due to Wanda going on a mission, or just leaving the Compound to go somewhere for a few hours.
"Missed you so much and then- and then I was scared that something would happen to you and you wouldn't come back h-home." Your breathing started to get faster again, making Wanda press you against her body again.
"Hey, it's okay. Mama's here now, yeah? I'll always come back to you." A sob leaves your body as you nod your head up and down in agreement with what she said. "You seem very tired, my love. Have you been sleeping?"
"I can't sleep without you. I wake up every time because of nightmares." You could feel every one of those nightmares in your skin in which you saw your mother die in front of you. The blood looked so real that the smell almost reached your nose.
"Oh, darling, I'm so sorry this was happening to you. But, Mama's going to take some time off from missions now, okay? You don't need to cry anymore." When Wanda finished speaking, you finally looked at her and stared into her green eyes. She managed to get a better view of your face with large dark circles under your eyes, confirming what she had asked you.
"Really?"
"Yeah, now you're really going to get sick of me." You laugh at her speech, making her smile as she hears the sound she loved most again. You even thought about considering what she said, but you knew it was impossible to get sick of your mother, your best friend.
"I think you're the one who's going to get sick of me, that's for sure." Wanda laughs along with you this time, making the atmosphere in the place no longer tense like it was when she first arrived in the room.
A comfortable silence settles between the two of you. You place your head on her neck again, feeling your eyes start to get heavy. Even though you wanted to fall asleep in your mother's tight arms, you were still afraid that when you woke up she wouldn't be there anymore, so you fought that they wouldn't close at any moment. But Wanda realized this quickly when she noticed your breathing starting to calm down and after a few seconds it became faster again.
"You can sleep, darling. Mama won't leave here for a second, and I'll be here when you wake up." When you heard the words come sweetly out of her mouth, you finally allowed yourself to fully relax knowing that now you were finally safe in your mother's arms.

if you wanted to, could you please write an angsty oneshot of moms!wandanat and reader where they get into a a bad argument which results in reader running away to yelena’s? ending could be happy or sad- up to you overall!
proud
pairings: parents!wandanat × daughter!reader | yelena × fem!reader (all platonic)
warnings: angst, argument, crying, insecure reader (?), happy ending!, steve × reader (platonic) at some time of the one shot, bad writing
a/n: i finished this crying because a cockroach attacked me, so thats why the ending was kind of bad writing sorry :P anddd tysm for your request <333 i loved writing this

You were never sure when it started, but it was probably a long time ago. When you learned that having parents who fought the super villains in the world wasn't normal, you realized that your life wouldn't be normal either. But even though you liked seeing your mother training with her red powers or running and being able to do whatever you wanted through the great corridors of the Compound, you still missed having a 'normal' life.
Being able to go out on the street without worrying about some evil man who hates one of your mothers kidnapping you or even being able to make friends at school without them being people who just wanted to meet your uncles, were things you wanted so much to experience. But that wasn't the only thing that made you feel bad in your daily life, having mothers who were superheroes also made you barely see them in weeks.
Even though most people your age didn't want anything to do with their parents anymore, you still missed the comforting and long hugs, the nights you had a marathon of your favorite movies and even when you still had dinner together as a family. But now, either they were too busy with work, like missions and paperwork, or they just didn't want to deal with a teenager.
And even then you tried to get their attention in some way. "Mom?" You knock softly on Natasha's office door, hearing a quiet response for you to enter. "Can you help me study for my test of the next week? I really don't understand this." You chuckle seeing your mother's eyes continue on the papers on her desk.
"Can't you look up the answer on the Internet or something? I'm really busy here, Y/n/n." You knew that Natasha would dismiss you somehow, but deep down you still hoped that she would look at you.
"Yes, but- I wanted to understand how to solve it and not just research it." You whisper, watching your mother write something down in the corner of the paper.
"Wanda can help you." She says, her eyes unable to take the words from her face for even a minute.
"Okay- um, thanks anyway, Mom." You only hear a mumble under her breath, making you wonder if there was something wrong with you. You close the office door with a little less hope this time. Your other mother was always a step ahead than Natasha in terms of emotional comfort, so maybe she would help you in your task by remembering your daily difficulties with that kind of thing. "Mama?"
"Yes?" Your mother murmurs, you barely listening. Wanda was sitting on the sofa at the Compound while devouring herself with a book in her hands.
"Can you help me study for my test of the next week, please?" You sit next to her while Wanda flips through another white page of the big book.
"Now?"
"Yeah. If it's possible."
"Can I help you...tomorrow?" Wanda finally looks at you from above her book. "Today is my only day off from the week's missions and paperwork and I'm really tired right now, my love." Your eyes fall to your hands in your lap, it was obvious that deep down you knew she was going to promise you something and maybe she would deliver. But by the time the next day passed, and then the next, and then the next... and Wanda didn't talk to you about it, you knew she wasn't going to help you.
And when you felt your head hurt just looking at that big red note in the corner of your test, you knew your mothers' wouldn't react so well to it. Maybe before they started spending time apart from you, they wouldn't get mad or anything like that because of your grade, but now you were sure that wasn't what would happen.
Stirring your fork on the plate still full of food, you go over the things you would say to your mothers' about your school grade. You travel between words and don't even notice when someone enters your field of vision. "Is everything okay, Kid?" It was your Uncle Steve. He sits in front of you watching you think about what to say to him.
"Yeah, it's just...school stuff."
"Is someone picking on you?" You knew that Steve almost saw you as a daughter, and you also knew that he was aware of how your mothers would rather be busy than deal with a teenage girl going through puberty, and that maybe now is the time when you needs them the most.
"Not like before, but that's not it." You leave your fork on your plate before sighing deeply. "I just got my test and I didn't get a very good grade," Murmuring you hold back the tears that sting your eyes. "now I don't know how I'm going to tell my mothers this."
Steve sighs. "I'm sure they won't fight with you, Y/n/n. Your mothers' will understand what happened and a grade doesn't define who you are, okay?" Your uncle didn't have much certainty in his voice but you tried to believe him anyway. You nod and put a small smile on your face, as a gesture of thanks.
Steve ruffles your hair, getting up from the chair when he hears the loud and unmistakable footsteps of your mothers' approaching you. He sends you a smile to try to reassure you that everything will work out, and with each step closer to you, your heart starts to accelerate. Your mothers' had a neutral expression, even if Natasha seemed angrier. "Aren't you going to eat?" Wanda asks, walking past you and heading towards one of the closets.
Completely ignoring the question, you take a deep breath and swallow hard. "I received the grade for that test in which I asked you to help me study." You mutter as you saw your mothers still facing away from you. "I got a D." Your voice was low, but even so, the two stopped what they were doing and looked into the depths of your soul.
"You got what?" Natasha seemed to finally understand that you were there. Her arms crossed as she walked towards you.
"I-I asked for help and-"
"Now you're trying to get out of this by blaming us for not helping you?" Wanda cuts you off making your eyes focus on her.
"I'm just saying- I tried, okay?!" It could be said that you got anger issues from your mom genes, or that you were just overwhelmed and your patience was running out. And when your tone of voice increased, you knew Natasha's anger would increase as well.
"Hey, don't talk to your mother like that!" Natasha slams her fist on the table in front of you, making you almost jump out of your seat.
"Well, you shouldn't be talking to me like that either." You didn't know where so much courage came from to fight back against your mother, but when you realized it, the damage had already begun.
"I'm your fucking mother, I talk to you however I want!" Natasha had never made you feel as scared as you did now, but it seemed like now that the words started to come out, they wouldn't stop.
"Ah, you haven't even been acting like a mother these past few months. Hypocrisy, huh?" When you finished speaking, you saw Wanda's eyes want to turn red like her hair. She approached the two of you quickly with the angriest expression you had ever seen.
"What's your problem, Y/n?!"
"My problem?" You get up from the chair and cross your arms, anyone who saw you in that position would notice the similarities in anger between you and Natasha. "You tell me! I'm not the person who would rather spend time anywhere else than with her own daughter. I'm not the one who forgets that she still has a daughter to raise!"
You screamed so loud that you were sure the entire Compound could hear that argument and that they could probably feel the tension in that environment from afar. If you were in a cartoon, you could see smoke coming out of Natasha's head and definitely Wanda's eyes catching fire. "You're being so selfish right now, Y/n."
"Am I?"
"Yes, you are! Just because your mother and I work all day to give you a better life, you think that we don't pay attention to you?" You had never seen Wanda like that, screaming and looking like she could kill anyone who came in front of her.
"Ah, yeah. Because last week when you weren't working you preferred to spend the whole day with Peter than with me just because he got a good grade!"
"Yes, because he always made us so proud by passing all the tests he had, unlike you!" Natasha spits the words out of her mouth without even thinking about what she was saying. And when they passed your ears you could feel your heart breaking.
Hearing that your mothers were more proud of a teenager who worked with them than they were of you made you feel like a gunshot was slowly passing through your chest. Natasha and Wanda knew how insecure you felt in your daily life, mainly due to academic validation, and now it seemed like all those days they had to spend helping you feel better about yourself were going down the drain.
Natasha sighs deeply when she sees your eyes widen, holding back tears that would fall at any moment. Wanda didn't seem any different when she heard the same words coming out of her wife's mouth. She never imagined that an argument of that size would ever happen between you, and Wanda could have sworn that she felt her heart stop beating out of disgust at the thought of how bad you must be feeling right now. "Y/n, I didn't mean-"
"It's okay." You murmur, uncrossing your arms. Two tears fall from your eyes and you make sure to wipe them away quickly. Your eyes were anywhere but on your mothers, because you felt so disgusting knowing that they were more proud of Peter than they were of you, that you couldn't even look at them.
Neither Wanda nor Natasha say anything when you turn and start walking out of the kitchen. You seemed to be walking automatically, your eyes blurry and your mind foggy, just going through your mother's words, over and over. But when you realize it, you're already outside the Compound, a few blocks away. You remember only one person who could help you outside of that place, and who wouldn't mind if you showed up suddenly.
And that's how you found yourself in front of Yelena's apartment, your aunt. She had found a place to live close to Natasha's house when she reconnected with her years ago, and especially when she discovered that she had a daughter, you. "Y/n?" Yelena seemed confused to see you there, with your face soaked and red, looking like an abandoned puppy. "Hey, what's wrong?" She didn't take long to have you in her arms.
"M-Mom and Mama h-hate me." You finally managed to murmur after some time sitting on the sofa in the apartment with Yelena stroking your hair and saying affectionate words.
Anyone who saw her doing this wouldn't believe it. Yelena wasn't the type of person for physical touches and especially sweet words, but when the subject was you, she became another person. "Why do you say that? They love you more than anything, Y/n/n."
"No, they don't."
Yelena had never seen you like this, not when you cried for days when you saw your favorite character dying, not when your mothers had to leave for a long mission. It was strange to see you crying almost as if there was no air in your lungs, your aunt wondered what happened to make it look like you had a bullet in your body and you were begging her to take it out. So, when you fell asleep crying on the couch, Yelena didn't wait a minute to call Natasha and insult her in every way possible. "What the fuck did you do?"
"What?"
"Y/n showed up at my door, I've never seen her crying as much as she does now." Yelena looks at you from the apartment's kitchen, you were curled up on the sofa with a blanket covering your body.
"Are you with her? Wanda and I were looking for her throughout the entire Compound." Natasha seemed to be relieved on the other end of the call, but even so her voice still sounded apprehensive about what had happened. "We're going to your apartment, I'll answer your question when we get there."
"You better!"
[...]
"She's sleeping on the couch." Yelena says when she sees Wanda and Natasha's eyes follow behind her, trying to find you. Yelena noticed Wanda's red eyes, not as if she wanted to cast circles of magic through her hands, but as if she had cried before arriving at the apartment. Your aunt knew that Wanda was sensitive, especially when it came to the topic of you and that you probably inherited that from her too, but for you two to cry so much like that, something really happened.
"Tell me what happened before you look at my niece again." Yelena has always been very protective of you, for example the time two girls made you the target of jokes in your school, and your aunt didn't wait a second to go to each of their houses and have a word with them.
"I better show you." Wanda says getting closer to Yelena, moving her fingers that came out red magic towards her mind - Steve messing up your hair, Wanda opening cabinets, red grade, Natasha screaming, you screaming, not being a mother, Wanda screaming, Peter being mentioned, not proud, disgusting feeling, you crying, you leaving the kitchen.
"Jesus." Yelena sighs deeply, running her hands over her face. "I really don't know how you're going to fix this, but I'll warn you: the hole is deeper than it looks."
"What- what do you mean by that?"
"Look, I'm sure you didn't want this to turn into a big snowball, but Y/n been feeling neglected for so long that after today it might take a while for things to get back to normal." Yelena says leaning on the front door frame.
"We didn't-"
"Yes, you did this to her. Today wasn't the first time she's shown up at my door in the last few months, but she's worse than the other times." Yelena crosses her arms and closes her eyes trying to calm down. "I had to listen to her talk about how you hardly talk to her on a daily basis, how you forgot to go to her presentation at school and didn't even apologize, how there were days when you forgot to pick her up and she had to walk in the rain to my apartment because it was closer, how she cried because you never had movie nights again because apparently now you have movie nights with Peter." Yelena's voice got louder with each thing she remembered you saying to her, and there were countless things. "I don't want to hear what you have to say, I want you to talk to her, apologize."
Natasha was so embarrassed to hear all those things from Yelena that she preferred to remain silent. Wanda had started to cry again, but it was silently, digesting all those things they did and didn't do to you. She had always dreamed of being a mother and now that she wasn't acting like one made her want to vomit over her own actions.
"Can we see her?" It was a stupid question coming from them, since they were your mothers and have the right to see you whenever they want. But they knew that everything was messy and bad for you because of them, so the least they had to do was respect your space.
Yelena just nods and gives Wanda and Natasha space to enter the apartment, taking light steps towards you. They bend down in front of you and see your swollen eyes and your red face with dried tears. Your mothers could cry just to see you in this state. Wanda starts to caress your face trying to make you wake up calmly, it was something she used to do when she went to your room in the morning every day to wake you up. And when you felt that you quickly knew who it was. "Mama?"
"Shh, yes it's me, my love." Wanda says with a small smile on her face when she hears your voice. You seemed lost for a few seconds but when you looked around the apartment you quickly remembered, throwing off the blanket and quickly sitting down on the couch. "Hey, it's okay."
"What are you two doing here?" You murmur, looking at your mothers' faces, who seemed sorry for everything that happened.
"We... came to talk and apologize, is that okay for you?" Natasha says, you could see in her face that she felt just as guilty as Wanda, because most of those horrible words were said by her. "Yeah, I guess." Wanda sighed in relief at your answer and felt some of the weight leave her body.
"I know that just apologies won't be enough to make you want to be around us for now, but your mother and I are completely sorry, my love. We were so stupid about leaving you aside these last few months, we didn't even realize what we were doing to you and it's really fucked up." The swear word made you laugh briefly, putting a smile on your mothers face. "And maybe you don't want to forgive us and that's definitely okay, but know that we're going to do everything we can to get things back on track, okay?"
Natasha agrees with Wanda's words and takes a deep breath before starting to speak. "We love you very, very much, sweetheart. And you are our greatest pride in our entire lives. I know you may not believe this, but you can be sure that me, your mother, your aunt and all your other uncles feel most proud of you, okay? You're our little star and our little agent."
A genuine smile appears on your face when you hear the sweet words that came out of your mothers' mouths. "First, you guys are literally the only people I want by my side and that's the only thing I've wanted these last few months. And I'm really grateful that you guys are sorry about that, even though it's probably going to be hard for things to go back to normal." They nod their heads when they hear your words in your low voice. "And I... forgive you. Not completely but until I can feel good again, but I think hearing you say sorry is a start."
"Okay, yes, that's okay." Wanda leaves a kiss on your forehead and strokes your hair affectionately. "We love you so much, dear."
"Love you too." You say, hugging the two women in front of you, finally feeling maternal affection after feeling neglected for so long and wondering what you had done wrong. Even though it took a while to get used to it all again, you were definitely happier than ever just hearing the words that they were proud of you. "Now I finally don't need to come to talk to Auntie Yelena anymore."
"Hey! I heard that!" Yelena shouts from another room in the apartment making the three of you laugh. You loved making fun of her, but even so, you will always be thankful for all the things she did for you. "Wow you're so ungrateful, Mini Romanoff."

I just love the way you write Wanda as a mother and that she just always knows
overwhelmed
pairings: mom!wanda maximoff × fem!reader
warnings: angst, reader crying, depressed reader — i think that's all!
a/n: tysm for your request love and im so sorry for your bad days, i really hope things get better for you and if you need someone to talk you can dm me, okay? <33

Interacting with any other human being was the last thing you wanted to do today. Saying that you had a bad week was an understatement, all the bad things that could happen to you happened. And not just things around you, but also your mind didn't stop for a second. You felt so overwhelmed that anyone could see on your face how much that week was hurting you.
"This can't be happening right now." You mumble as you feel the raindrops start to fall on your head. There was still more than half the way until you arrived at the Compound, you didn't have an umbrella, much less a coat to protect yourself from the cold that would come. No one could come and get you since everyone was busy and you didn't want to disturb your mother, she had enough problems to deal with yours.
You were coming home from school after another stressful day. You've spent the last few weeks studying for an incredibly difficult test, especially in a subject you had difficulty with, and seeing that big red note made your urge to cry even more. You studied so much that you thought it was impossible for that to happen. So many nights without having slept and so many energy drinks wasted for nothing.
You were absolutely soaked when you stepped into the Compound. Your sneakers made a funny noise when you stepped on them, but the only thing you wanted to do now was take them off your feet and throw them at the person closest to you, shouting in their face. "You're going to clean this up, Little Maximoff." Tony's annoying voice says, obviously joking, but still your head hurt just hearing that you had to do something that day. Your jaw tightens and you close your eyes tightly, taking a deep breath.
"I know, Tony." You ramble, trying to keep your voice as calm as possible. You walk past him to head towards your room, feeling your eyes burn from having something else on your list of things that made your week worse than it already was.
On normal days the first thing you would do was go look for your mother in her office, but the last thing you wanted to do that day was worry her, because you knew that the moment she laid eyes on you she would know that something was wrong. And filling her with your problems would make you feel guilty for a long time, you hated making people feel sorry for you and looking like you were a baby. You just needed to calm down, didn't you?
"Fuck!" You scream when you see all your notebooks soaked, especially your sketchbook, which you spent hours and hours drawing. You drop your things on the floor and run your hands through your hair, taking a deep breath. You wished your mother was there now, she would know what to do and help you with whatever you needed to calm down, but you put that idea out of your head before you ran towards her arms.
You enter the bathroom connected to your room and take off your clothes before you catch a cold. The hot water from the shower makes your muscles finally relax after the terrible days you prayed would end. In a few seconds you no longer knew what water was or what the tears on your face were. All those things that happened in your week came together into one, and you started to feel like you were on that empty, dark hole that took you a long time to get out of. You thought that maybe the problem was you, that maybe you deserved all those bad things, from the smallest to the ones that made you cry and scream like that moment.
You didn't hear the knock on your door because your bad thoughts were so loud that it was almost impossible to even hear the shower water hitting the floor. But when Wanda entered her room after hearing no response, she felt like something was wrong at the moment. She looks at your completely wet things lying on the floor and frowns. You told your mom you didn't need a ride home from school, but apparently, you did.
"Honey, is everything okay?" When she heard the shower turning off after long minutes, she knocked on the bathroom door just to let you know she was there and see if everything was okay. "Yeah, I'll be out in a minute." You say in a low voice, taking a deep breath. You knew that the moment you left the bathroom, your mother would know that your bad thoughts came back again, but you also knew that she wouldn't pressure you to say anything.
You close the bathroom door quietly, finally looking into Wanda's green eyes and seeing the worry through them. She held your backpack in her hands with her face confused at you, because she wouldn't think twice to get in the car and drive to you. "I was almost here at the Compound and the rain caught me." You chuckled, trying to hide your red eyes, your cheeks and the tip of your nose with the same color as your mother's hair.
"Are you okay, love?" She asks again, her face relaxed now. You put a fake smile on your face, but still with enormous affection for your mother.
"Yeah, just a little upset that my sketchbook got ruined, but it's okay." You don't completely lie. Yes, you were upset that your drawings would now have to go in the trash, but no, nothing was okay.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart." Wanda says approaching you. You just throw it away, muttering 'it's okay' but she wraps her arms around you, giving you a relaxing hug. Your mother leaves a long kiss on your head, making the urge to cry increase even more. You loved all the affectionate actions that your mother gave you, it made you feel so vulnerable and light. "Come on, let's get you something to eat, shall we?" You didn't like eating when you were feeling bad like that, you felt like you were going to throw up when you put anything in your stomach because of the anxiety, but you just agreed.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even notice when you arrived in the kitchen which, unfortunately, was made up of a few people. You felt so overwhelmed that being in the same environment as some people made you feel even worse. The small group of Avengers on your left irritated you. The loud noises they made. The conversations. The sound of people swallowing food. The tapping of Steve's shoe on the floor. Everything irritated you. From the small scratches on the counter to the farthest lamp that blinked every one minute and two seconds. Wanda noticed that. She noticed that you were itching to keep from freaking out. That you closed your eyes tightly trying to ignore your surroundings. That she needed to do something to help. She wanted to come to you and ask what intrigued you so much. What made you take deep breaths and crack your fingers every second was curious.
"Thank you, momma." She almost didn't hear you because of your low and hoarse voice. Wanda leaves a kiss on your head as she watches your foot bouncing up and down, eating the sandwich she made.
Wanda debated in her head what she could do to make you feel better. She knew she couldn't pressure you into saying anything, but she was so worried that she would do anything to see you well again. And even if it got to the point where she had to read your mind, she couldn't. You somehow managed to block your mother from reading your thoughts and seeing what was wrong.
You place your plate in the sink, taking a deep breath. Finally you would get away from people and that feeling of anxiety would finally leave you, that's what you thought. You thought that just a few hours of lying in bed doing nothing would solve your problems, but deep down, you knew that wasn't what would happen. And, now walking towards your room, not even your plan of closing yourself under the covers would be complete, as your mother followed you with the comfortable atmosphere that she always exuded.
You lie in your bed watching your mother calmly wait for your permission to lie down next to you. You nod to her with a smile on your face. Wanda puts her arms around your body, running her hand on your back, making your body relax. You loved these moments between the two of you, you realized how important you are to her and how loved you are. "You know you can always talk to me, don't you?" She murmurs, making you lean into her even more. Your face was in the crook of her neck, hiding how your lip trembled trying to hold back your crying. "I love you so much, sweetheart."
You finally let out a sob when Wanda murmurs those words that came out of her mouth so sweetly. Her grip around you tightens as she feels tears fall onto the skin of her neck, leaving a kiss on your head. The caress on your back never stopped, reassuring you that you were safe in your mother's arms. "It's okay, baby. Everything's going to be okay." You hated crying out loud, but at that moment you couldn't control all those feelings that made your heart ache spilling across your face, and Wanda was there to remind you that it was okay to cry and feel that way. "I-I'm sorry."
"Honey... we never apologize because of our emotions, right? Never." Wanda pulls you to place you on her lap, making you lay your head on her chest. You start playing with the hem of your mother's shirt, sniffling as you try to think of words you could say to her. "Do you want to talk about it, детка?"
"It was just... a bad week." You murmur, snuggling even closer to Wanda, feeling her heartbeat in your ear, which made you calm down a little more. "I just- I'm just feeling so overwhelmed and... and I don't know what to do."
"Oh, baby... it's okay. We'll get through this, yeah? It's okay to feel this way and I'll help you with whatever you need, my love." She strokes your hair, making your body relax in her lap. You agree, feeling her comfortable words enter your ears and help you with the horrible thoughts. "You're so strong, honey. Remember you're not alone, okay?" You mumble something, agreeing with her. You never knew how Wanda could make you feel better with just a few words, maybe it was her magic? You never knew. But she would always be your best friend and the person who would always make you feel better again. "Thank you, momma."
You would never be able to explain how grateful you were to have your mother by your side, because there are so many people in the world who don't have that comfort, and just thinking about not having someone to help you through your episodes made you feel sick. Even if she didn't say it, you knew Wanda was afraid you'd go back to that time when the hole was deeper than it is now. You remember exactly how she cried with you when you vented to her about everything you were feeling, and how she helped you every step of the way again.
"You don't need to thank me, детка. I love you so much, okay? I will always be by your side, on whatever you need." And you knew she was telling the truth, because Wanda loves you so much. You will always be her little miracle and the most important thing in her life. She feels so proud of you, because she knows that you can get through this, that you are strong enough to get through all the challenges in your life. She believes in your ability to overcome these difficult times - because you can - and there will always be people to support and walk alongside you, because you'll never be alone.

the sour taste
pairings: motherfigure!wanda × fem!reader (platonic)
warnings: ed!!!, bad thoughts, self-deprecating reader, reader sees wanda as a mother figure
a/n: so I accidentally deleted the request for this oneshot but thank you so much to whoever asked! I've never written a character with ed but I really hope you like it ;)

You didn't remember exactly what it was like to have a father or a mother. You don't remember what it was like to have a hug or play with the toys you always dreamed of. Your childhood was made up of tests and bad people at the Hydra base who punished you for every wrong step. Those people appeared in all your nightmares nowadays and it all seemed so real.
But, you still remember exactly the day the gunshots were loud enough to make your ears hurt, and how the red-haired woman was the first to find you in your cell with your hands around your head trying to muffle the sounds. You remember how she bent down beside you and made you calm down. How her touch made you feel loved again, how her sweet words made you hold on to her and not want to let go anymore. Wanda Maximoff held your hand tightly until you finally arrived at the Avengers Compound.
It took you a while to get used to the people in that place, their laughs, their clothes, their voices. Everything was very strange for you. But with Wanda it was different. She was the only one you let comb your hair, put you under the covers and even the only one you let come close to you. It was obvious that this changed over time, but this connection with Wanda was greater than anyone else in that Compound. Maximoff helped you recover and learn to be a normal person, and teenager, again. But even so, some habits would not change.
Once at the Hydra base, you went more than five days without eating, not because you wanted to, but because you made some minor mistake and they thought the only thing to do was punish you. You remember how your body became too thin, your skin was paler than normal and your hair fell to the floor of the cold and dirty cell you were in. And that was what you did these days to punish yourself.
When you started attending (being forced by the Avengers) school, these self-punishments became even more frequent. You saw how those girls in short skirts with their arms out were totally different from you, you thought. They were thin, very thin. And you... are you. Things got even worse when those same people talked about you, how your body wasn't like theirs. So, you think the problem is you.
The punishments from your childhood, all the bullying you suffered and how you thought about yourself came together into one thing, a big snowball that was thrown at you and made you suffocate until you ran out of air. You felt like that at that moment under the blankets, your eyes red and swollen from crying, your cheeks dry from tears. It was only six in the afternoon that day and your thoughts didn't stop for a single second, about how you deserved to suffer and die of hunger, how you didn't even deserve to be alive.
Most of your days were like this. You skipped breakfast with the excuse of being late for school, you skipped lunch saying you had already eaten at school, you skipped dinner pretending you were asleep when Wanda knocked on your bedroom door. At the birthday parties that Tony Stark threw for everyone in that place, you didn't eat the cake. From the afternoon snacks that Maximoff brought you, you vomited in the bathroom a minute after leaving. So, you tried to change your body, your face, but you always felt like that. You felt disgusting looking at the girl on the other side of the mirror.
And when you heard the knock on your bedroom door, your heart skipped a beat. You knew it was Wanda and now there was nowhere to hide your reddened face, nor the lie of pretending you were asleep. "You can come in." you mutter loud enough for the older woman to hear.
She enters the room, but you still don't look at her. Your body almost melting into the bed makes her worry. Wanda walks lightly towards you, lowering herself to the ground so she can look directly into your eyes. Maximoff had already seen you cry, she had seen it many times. But even so, she worried every time you appeared with your nose red and the corners of your eyes even more so. "Hey, sweetheart." She tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear, waiting for a response from you.
"Just another nightmare." You lie quickly, seeing the expression on Wanda's face become even sweeter. But she knew deep down you were lying. Because every other time those sour dreams haunted you, you turned to her, not even waiting to calm down to run into Wanda's arms and listen to all her sweet words that helped your head.
"I'm so sorry, baby. You know I'll always be here for you, okay?" She murmurs, quickly pulling you into her arms and kissing your forehead. You take a deep breath and rest your head on her shoulder, feeling her hands caressing your back. "What do you think about having dinner? I know you sleep early so I already made your favorite dish." Her voice was so sweet that you almost started crying again, but the words she said felt so hard in your head that even your empty stomach turned.
You couldn't think of a lie that made sense at that moment, and you knew that if you thought too loud around Wanda she would end up discovering things you didn't want her to know. So you just shake your head up and down. She leaves one last kiss on your head and holds your hand so she could guide you towards the kitchen of that large place.
At some moments on that path you feel your legs failing and your head dizzy. You were weak. And Wanda realized that. She immediately stopped when it happened the third time and held your face in her hands, looking straight into your eyes. You knew it was happening because of the lack of food in your stomach, but she couldn't know that. "I'm sorry, I'm just tired." You lie again, losing count of how many times you've had to do that to the woman in front of you, who was just worried.
The expression on Wanda's face let you know she didn't believe you, but you still continued on your way back to the kitchen. The smell of food makes you nauseous. You wanted so much to taste every grain in that dish without feeling guilty, but you knew that was impossible to happen.
You sit on the chair looking directly at the full plate that Wanda prepared with all the care in the world. You touch the cold fork and start stirring the food with it. You can feel Wanda's gaze on you. She knew, you thought. You thought you were hiding it so well. You would have to make her think otherwise, that it was just things in her head. Then, you take a small portion to your mouth, feeling the tears start to burn again in the corners of your eyes. The noise your throat makes when you swallow the food makes you close your eyes tightly, trying to hold back the tears that were insisting on falling. You wouldn't cry in front of Wanda now, not when you didn't want her to find out your secret. You felt so embarrassed.
But when you finally release a sob, Wanda knows that those voices that worried about you in her head were right. She runs towards you and holds you in her arms. At that moment you can no longer control all that feeling that you kept inside you, of all the bad moments and memories that make you feel guilty for having swallowed that small portion. "Oh honey." You hear her voice crack as she pats your head. You start to sob and cry even louder with each passing second, feeling Wanda hold you even tighter. "Shh, it's okay, you're okay."
"I'm so- sorry." You manage to speak through all those feelings being poured across your face.
"There's nothing to apologize for, sweetheart." Wanda kisses your head, feeling your body relaxing with her physical touches. She knew that you never had a mother-daughter experience, and she knew that at that moment all you needed was a mother figure to help you. "Oh, my beautiful girl... it's okay, Mom is here." You were feeling so overwhelmed that you didn't even notice the term Wanda called herself, but it still made your heart warm.
Wanda didn't know if you were ready to talk about all your feelings and she wasn't going to force you to talk, but even so, tears of despair still fell from Maximoff's eyes, wanting to know why you wanted to starve yourself until death.
"I love you so much, baby. Don't forget that." She holds your face with both hands, watching your eyes fill with tears with every word she says. You couldn't speak at that moment, just staring at the older woman in front of you with eyes blurred by tears. "We'll get through this like we always do, okay?"
You can feel Wanda's fingers caress your cheeks, red from crying. "This won't last forever, love, and I'm here every step of the way to help you." She wipes away one of the several tears that fall from her eyes, feeling her body shake. "We'll work together to find healthy ways to approach your relationship with food and I'll help you with whatever you need." You close your eyes again and take a deep breath, continuing to feel Wanda's loving fingers on your face. "We can seek professional help, such as a therapist or nutritionist. Furthermore, I want you to know that our relationship is completely open for you to come and talk to me, yeah? Feeling comfortable sharing your feelings and thoughts will be essential for me to be able to help you."
"Thank you so much, Wands." You murmur, still looking into the woman's deep green eyes.
"I'm so sorry I didn't realize it sooner, my love." She says, now holding your hands as her eyes become shiny from the suppressed crying. You shake your head disagreeing with her, muttering something like 'it's not your fault'.
"What if we start one step at a time?" Wanda murmurs, leaving a tender kiss on your hand. "Today I'm going to help you eat at least half of the plate, what do you think?" You hesitated for a moment, but seeing Wanda with hope in her eyes made you agree to the idea, because you knew she would help you with whatever you needed.
That night everything seemed so different. Wanda managed to distract you from all those dark thoughts inside your head that told you that you weren't enough, that you didn't deserve to be eating. But the woman with red hair made you feel loved, because you are. Wanda makes you smile and feel like a better person in that terrible world, because she loves you. And you knew that she wouldn't give up on you and would help you with even the smallest things with the greatest pride in her eyes, because that's what mothers do.
