Today our sweet little Luna is 6 months old. I don’t know where the time has gone, cliche, but true. Her fiery, beautiful, giggly, hilarious, and loving little personality is blooming more and more everyday. She was so brave at her 6 month check up during her vaccines but, she did reveal the fattest, most delicious knee I’ve ever seen (pic 8). She LOVES food and helps me in the kitchen by taste testing all of the meal prep I do for her. There is no doubt she will be a great cook. She spends her days dancing with her papa, sitting up on her own, drinking out of cups (well as of an hour ago!!), breastfeeding in as many public places as possible, babbling mamamama, scooting backwards in an attempt to crawl, and letting us exactly what’s on her mind. Her giggles and smile light up every room and we are both in awe of her and grateful beyond measure. We are sitting by a fire made up of last years Yule logs, sipping on mulled cider with booze soaked cranberries, eating ginger cakes dripping with honey. We read “The Shortest Day” by Susan Cooper to Luna while she showcased her drumming skills. We lit candles for friends and family, made our offerings, and burned the things we wished to leave behind in 2022 as well as those we wish to welcome in 2023. Happy Transferversary to Luna and @eggwhisperer and us! One year ago today Dr. Aimee performed our fourth frozen embryo transfer using our best embryo, graded 3AA, from our second egg retrieval. Prior to this we transferred a fresh embryo, did not stick, a few months later we transferred a frozen embryo, which also did not stick, and another frozen embryo, which did stick and split into twins but ended in miscarriage 💔 They would have been one this month. The shock and bliss we felt when Dr. A called us 8 days later last year with the news cannot be expressed in words. I did not think it would happen for me. I had lost hope and I was trying one last time. I can’t imagine if I hadn’t kept going. If you are going through infertility treatment you are in my heart and my hope.
