"How are you going to judge someone from the past through the moral lense of today?" Because there were abolitionists in the Spanish colonies in the 1500s and atheists in Medieval Europe and people who believed women deserved an education in Ancient Rome and a straight man in Yorkshire writing in 1810 about homosexuality not being wrong. Because being a coward is not the same thing as not knowing better.

According to the company’s website, “Baking Pitchfest 2024” offers a product edition geared toward baking brands founded and owned by people of color across the U.S., and a bakery edition, which focuses on people of color-owned bakeries in the Northeast and Washington state. “Half mentorship, half competition, Baking Pitchfest is an accelerator program designed to foster greater inclusivity and creativity in the baking world by providing equitable opportunities for People of Color entrepreneurs,” the website states, adding that winners will receive financial support, mentorship, and exposure. But the initiative has generated outrage amongst conservatives online, who have blasted the competition eligibility rules as discriminatory against white people.
One X user critical of King Arthur Baking’s contest posted an email she received from the company in response to her complaining. “Helping build joyful, equitable communities that celebrate diversity is an important part of who we are as a company,” the email states, later adding: “We love baking with anyone and everyone. Our simple expectation is that everyone show respect for one another.”

most people literally do not view feminism as a valuable form of activism.
bitch isn't considered a slur because no one cares about female oppression. even womyn living in places where they aren't allowed to leave their homes without covering every inch of their body, speak in public, or talk to men dont get more than maybe an awareness post or something. where are all the protests? the boycotting?

"Porn should be legal because it's going to exist anyway" is such a spineless no brain take because at the end of the day, csam, gore videos of people actually getting brutally murdered, animal abuse, and so on still get produced illegal. How long before you start advocating for that to be legal too? So, you think murderers shouldn't be charged at all because people are bound to get murdered anyway?
Or are you just making up whatever comes to mind because you can't fathom losing access to porn? By that logic, every illegal thing should be legal because people are bound to break the law. Queer hate crimes should have no consequences because there's always going to be someone who doesn't like gay people.
There should be no laws because someone is always going to breach them, right? Or does that only apply to your spank bank?

Y’all: radfems and terfs are white feminists!
Also y’all: *is against South Korean feminist movement* *compares black women to natal males* *has never heard of womanism* *supports prostitution (which often targets WOC the worst, although women of all races suffer from it)* *doesnt let ex Muslim woman talk about their negative experiences with Islam without talking over them about how their experience isn’t universal* *ignores third world feminists if they dare talk about sex based oppression*

"wait, but what do I say to describe people who cannot get pregnant?" a guide.
Men cannot get pregnant: INCORRECT. Transgender men are men and many are capable of getting pregnant. Also, excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
Cis men cannot get pregnant: INCORRECT. Intersex men who are cis, but have uteruses and ovaries, may be capable of pregnancy, even if it's unlikely. Also, excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
Cis perisex men cannot get pregnant: Correct, but excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
People without uteruses cannot get pregnant: Correct, but excludes infertile and menopausal people with uteruses who also cannot get pregnant.
People who cannot get pregnant: CORRECT. Excludes no one.
To use inclusionary language, you don't need to rip through the reeds in search of wider terminology when you could quite literally say things exactly as they are. Inclusive language isn't "overcomplicated" at all. It's straightforward.

this is honestly the result of what happens when we agree that the only thing that should matter is gender identity in order to have unfettered access to spaces that back then did not belong to you based on biological characteristics such as your sex. because, who's to say that he just decides he felt like a woman for the 5 or so minutes he wanted to go harass the women there? (he did, in fact, harassed the women there)
good on the woman here for standing up for herself and all the other women there, it took a lot of strength to do that especially in an environment that is traditionally known as being toxic for upholding misogynistic views in general.
this should serve as a reminder for why female exclusive gyms need to not only be normalized, but legally protected against both "cis" men and trans identified males.
#harassing women in their spaces is a very male thing to do that's why I know he's not a tif#kam#smash the patriarchy#female only spaces#women's rights

god it is fucking repulsive to hear any lesbian say she went to a strip club or paid for a prostitute. I saw a lesbian today say that she went to a place that’s like the ‘emo/edgy hooters’ it’s not a strip club or prostitution but it’s still bad. she would’ve been beautiful if she wasn’t repulsive. these women clearly know jackshit about how these industries exploit women but it is still gross as fuck because even if I wasn’t as feminist as I am, I would realize that it is gross and weird to go somewhere where women’s job description is flaunting their breasts for customers. I would realize that objectifying strangers is wrong.
#i think the phenomenon is well explained in Stone Butch Blues it's exactly that. I couldn't understand using their distress for sex like men#radblr#smash the patriarchy#swerf

upcoming movie about a lesbian detective. sounds cool! what could even go wrong?

straight woman immersing into a racist, violent porn addicted creep to play a lesbian correctly
but wait, is it even made by a woman?
no, but we have a straight couple of producers, one of them identifies as a lesbian

the lesbian attracted to the man in question (and married to him since '93)

I'm sick, I'm sick, I'm sick
