LOVE THIS ANIMAL
BANABA SLUT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
made (adult) monk larger than their sibling
with slightly longer ear tentacles and a tendency to hold them floppy and loosely
a fairly small mantle and right sided right sided breathing pore
monk was a weak and runtish pup but excels with social skills through age.
known for their courage, and love for their family, just as Gourmand a few generations preceding them.

spearmaster's mantle update!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SPEARMASTER!
strange beaft with eyes like a mantis shrimp and no lower jaw :]
other unmentioned things were that spearmaster has an unusually opaque skeleton. (translucent teeth and such is the normal)
as well as whitish flesh, only pink hued where blood is rich and vessels are plenty.
the spurs on spearmaster's heels and ankles produce the same toxin as from their quills.
their breathing pore is located on their right, less common than lefties. this locates their heart to their left side.
spearmaster's ability to use an olfactory organ in dry air aids the long journey's they must take, and lessens chances of predation.
spearmaster sports a low body fat content to high muscle mass ratio for a slugcat, this strains some of the spearmasters vital organs resulting in issues of bradycardia and a weaker immune system.
spearmaster's skin is rough and loose, appearing wrinkled and drier than expected. it sags especially under the top jaw, where the bottom jaw is absent.
their torso is slim, but stomach slightly round and soft with squishy vital organs.
long toes, and even longer fingers give spearmaster incredible grip and dexterity but do cause faster fatigue in the muscles when traveling long distances. their ear tentacles are very short and round.
spearmaster's tail is full of vital digestive organs and ganglion. damaging it severely would cause not only disorientation and lack of coordination in them, but also dehydration and starvation ultimately leading to death.
backward-hooking barbs on the quills prevent spears from being removed without breaking off into the body or causing severe trauma to the tissue around it. small, but visible to the naked eye. between 2-10 millimeters in length

FINALLY I AM HAPPY
Tumblr media
we are changing up some of our slugcat anatomy in general (larger mantle)
changed their facial proportions to something much more accurate
markings altered
right sided breathing pore changed to left, enlarged to its appropriate size
marginally longer ear tentacles (average length)
Tumblr media
i spent ages on this and i literally HATE IT.
to put it plainly i am highly disappointed with my execution of the main piece here.
they were supposed to have a "baby face" but i overexaggerated the eyes too much by just a fraction and im still not so sure about the big nose....
their body type is average-lean for a slugcat and the fat storage around the neck is a trait common of a parent scug. a fair bit on the shorter end, smaller than Monk once both siblings hit their full heights.
translucent teeth and unilateral breathing pore being common of slugcats. survivor's right sideded breathing pore being the slightly less common configuration of the circulatory system
fingers and toes are of proportionate and average length.
large eyes, forehead, fatty nose, and shorter stature often leads to Survivor to be mistaken for a sub-adult well into their adulthood. this is swiftly corrected with the presence of their gradually aging pups and well formed dewlap.
blood tone is jade-green, the natural color for most all naturally occuring slugcats.
