Okay now that we've figured out the set-up I'm good. We're not scoring because we took out all our starting forwards + our 10 to rest them for the Germany game we have up next.

We seem to be playing a 4-4-2 with Sonnett-Coffey double pivot, Nighswonger + KA attacking mid. Lynn-Crystal forward pair.

I like this look - it's not meant to score it's just meant to hold and not tire us out.

just a ‘lil something…

It rained for three days in august. The world stopped. Time stood still. The lights were on inside the house and the raindrops carried the sound of my mothers laughter. The rain is a beautiful thing. It falls and it falls and it carries away the weight of my dreams. The rain is the tears of god. The rain is the prayers of the people. I used to think my sister was the rain. She came and held my hand. It came and freed my soul. The rain poured relentlessly and ended the drought that was my life. It rained for three days in august. And as I sit here listening to the words of the world, I can say thank you. As I sit here, I know the reason of my existence. The rain destroys. It brings piece. It is the sinner and the saint. It is the backdrop in the painting of life. It’s pours and it pours. It silenced the World and it silenced me. The rain cured the ragged edge that is me. It rained for three days in august.

It's so easy to forget how important it is that Pinoe was able to kiss Sue during the pre-game. Or to have her on the field at all. But Pinoe debuted for the national team in 2006, when gay marriage was not legal almost anywhere in the United States. Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird being able to be publicly together on national TV for Megan's last game is so so important and I couldn't be happier for both of them.

Smitten ( Steph Catley x Reader)

A soft knock on the door awoke me from my slumber. As I opened my eyes Steph walked in a carrying a tray of food.

“ Good morning puddin’. How you feeling?” She asked as she placed the food down.

“Good thank you!” I yawned. Sitting up to give her a sweet kiss. I patted the spot next to me.

As I ate, Steph went over the days events. Beth and invited us over for brunch and a catch up.

“ After that we can go shopping or just …” As Steph rambled on I pulled her in to shut her up.

“We can do whatever you want love.”

Two hours later we were ready. Calvin bounded in the park as I spoke to Viv. Steph and Beth and run off somewhere probably to film a TikTok or greet some pups. As Viv explained her thought on the upcoming season my gaze met my girlfriends. She walked over and slung an arm around my waist as she kissed my cheek.

“ Sorry Viv I lost your girl.”

Viv sighed and excused herself to go find her lover. Once left alone Steph whispered “ Hi love. I missed you.” “ What do you say we head home?”

At home Steph and and I cuddled on the couch when my phone pinged. Beth had tagged us in a photo. Steph was looking lovingly at me as I laughed at the camera. Her arms draped across me. I reposted it with the caption Lovely girl.

As I drifted off to sleep I heard Steph mumble “ I love you so much. I can’t wait to marry you.”
