Wait, why are people actually changing up their tune on who goes vanished just because of ross duffer’s post?

I get his phrasing of words made people question, but when you think about it rationally, it’s most likely Holly.

The original leaker said “The vanishing of BLANK Wheeler.” - so has to be a Wheeler, we’ve seen Mike, Nancy in episodes past two so it’s not them. Karen is in the hospital, we know this via a hospital report leak. Ted… is dead. I don’t think it would make sense for Ted, of all people, to have an episode named after him - also… he’s allegedly dead, not vanished. That leaves the girl who we’ve literally seen in paparazzi photos with Venca in his human form. The girl who is quite literally a direct parallel to s1 Will Byers, with her friends, her age, her outfit, her dnd class. It’s Holly.

The only other possibility is some Venca type of thing, or reference. Or, I did like the idea of “The vanishing of Will Byers.” being the title again - I know the possibility of Will disappearing from the main groups antics wouldn’t happen so early on, we’ve seen him in episodes past two. But, maybe it’s showcasing his time in the upsidedown? Paralleling with that while Holly is missing, we could see flashbacks of Will with that too. But, leaks do say wheeler, so by process of elimination it’s probably Holly.

Edit: my tldr i guess is that, it’s probably Holly, but it could be Will (flashbacks) again.

It reminds me of Max last season. Withdrawn, friends unsure of his participation, closed off but ultimately just in need of support and a well-needed cry, but he has to move through his arc to get to the point where he can let himself go like that.
