TUESDAY... return of the @jediband ... @nublunyc ... JEDI is a project by Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls) with a rotating cast of musicians. This Tuesday (7/16) will see the return of Marc Brownstein & Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits) as well as Avi Bortnick and Matt Jalbert (TAUK)! . Back in March I had an amazing time having @escapermusic open for JEDI for a 3 night run. On the run, I was honored to sit-in for the 1st time during the JEDI set @toadsplace . Yesterday was a real nice day. Rolled into the Saco River Campout... a nice new little fest set on this river/beach/forest... @escapermusic took the stage right in time to have the sunset happen mid-set. Being able to look out at that sunset happening during the set was truly incredible. If at any time I felt any music mojo falling off even a bit, all I had to do was look up at that sunset and it came right back, fully. One of my favorite things is impromptu music making with great musicians... a couple weeks ago on a Friday at a fest Escaper was playing on the Sunday... I was told with a bit over an hour to go that a band had cancelled and they were throwing together a replacement band with available musicians to fill the slot. Right time, right place, found myself on main stage with some great homies that I had never shared a stage with before. Horns section comprised of Leo from @toomanyzooz , Lee @leerossmusic and Mike @bafundo (@westendblend ), Craig ( @strangemachines on bass and @bslayers1 on drums.
