aftg tv show and the first trailer for jean's season/spin off starts with a bunch of newscasters and reporters saying his name in various accents

and then we cut to jean sitting in the bed at abbie's, its completely silent (other than maybe a faint ticking), hes all bandaged up and terribly bruised, staring down at his hands in anger as the camera slowly zooms in, then he looks up and his own voice (in voiceover) says my name is jean moreau. i belong to the moriyamas. my place is at evermore. i will endure.

cue intense music with a sick beat and cut to several things happening at once: jean throws a punch, renee's necklace dangling above his palm, jeremy almost crashing his car, (idk man theres too many good ones 😭)

cut! quieter now, camera follows neil silently lowering to a crouch in front of jean (who we can barely see), imitating a gun to his head with his fingers, "pop. how easily these monsters die in the end."

music is back and we keep flashing between a bloody jean in two different bathtubs- then kevin is in front of him: "you made me a promise." / "fuck you. you have no right to hold me to it." / "but i will."

last cut is jean walking onto court in USC gold and red, in voice over he says my name is jean moreau. if i am not a raven, who am i?

1. Every march 8th he gives tulips for all the foxes women (that includes Abby and later Bee). He never says anything as well, just gives them and moves on lol.

2. He tried to do what Paweł jumper couldn't, but ended up exactly like him. Rip Neil.

3. His favourite polish dish is gołąbki, or żurek, or both.

4. He definitely says "I'm not made out of sugar", when it's raining and he wants to go out lol.

I finished reading TGR yesterday and I have to say that as much as I love Jeremy, it is so frustrating to read his pov!! Many times I had to remind myself that this is his pov and not Jean's, because of how little he shares about himself. ALSO I think it's a good thing, because the fact that he shares so little about himself tells A LOT about him as a character. Does it make sense?? Lmaoo

I like to think that Neil actually knows Polish because of his father (idk if it was confirmed that he has polish origins or anything, but Weśniński is a Polish surname), but he hasn't spoken in it for YEARS, so when he finally does he speaks with a mix of French, German and English accent. Everyone thinks he can speak Simlish now.

Maybe at some point he would relearn it again in some sort of a healing way. Or not, because that would remind him too much of his father. Both are fine and valid.

In Egypt, we are stuck between a bitter alienation and a painful reality. 😔🚧 We do not have residency, which makes every step difficult and every day full of challenges. Prices in Egypt resources are unforgiving, and the ones we brought with us are quickly melting away. 💸 While we try to endure and survive, our hearts remain attached to Gaza; The homeland that never leaves our minds or leaves us for a moment. 🇵🇸💔 Our loved ones there live under siege, and we live under the burden of alienation and worry for them. Every day in Egypt feels like an endless wait, and every contact with Gaza opens a door to pain. 📞💔 Returning to Gaza did not alleviate the anxiety, but rather confirmed to me that the suffering continues, whether we are inside or outside.

So this is my final Neil design! At this point I only have read the first trilogy, so sorry if some of my takes are wrong lol

Some notes on the design:

I thought that Neil would cut his own hair ever since his mom died and after everything that happened to him, he’d be afraid of letting anyone with sharp tools close to his face, so that’s why his bangs is… Yeah. Also I imagine he still has some black hair strands, as I refuse to believe Jean and Riko managed to get it all out lmaoo When it comes to alt outfits, I think he’d start wearing obnoxiously colourful clothes once he didn’t have to hide anymore.
