My favourite thing? Animalistic Hawks. Him bringing soft things into your nest, stealing shiny jewellery to adorn you with. Him chirping happily while you pet his hair, his feathers fluffing up when he's flustered. Cute little bird sounds as he preens his feathers. Golden irises, and slit-shaped pupils that dilate when he looks at you.

But also, long black talons, digging into your skin. Sharp teeth, drawing blood. The sounds he makes, absolutely inhumane and terrifying. The way he dives straight down when hunting, aiming for one thing only: to kill.

The thin elegance of Dabi's hands, his fingers so long and dainty I can imagine them dancing over piano keys, playing a melody sad and furious both at once. The subtle waltz to his step as he walks, hair bouncing with each step, long coat fluttering behind him. The warmth in his voice, engulfing you not unlike a final hug. Dabi is the personification of a deadly dance, his eyes closed as he gives in to the music and sways and sways and sways...

dabi headcanons

- Canonically left-handed.

- A theatre kid to the core, despite having never been able to attend a theatre club.

- The "bi" in Dabi stands for bisexual. Cis man.

- Can hardly feel his burnt skin and some of the "healthy" skin. Barely feels surface-level pain, which makes it really easy to injure himself. Fevers and headaches are hell, however.

- Hates certain textures. Absolutely despises his hands being sticky, despite being far from a neat freak.

- Pretty heavily near-sighted because of damage to his eyes. Wears glasses when no one sees him, but refuses to wear them while going out. Lenses are a no, too, because his eyes are very sensitive and get infected easily. Also, has a bit of a lazy eye (this is canon, too, I believe.)

- Has some difficulty hearing in his left ear, too. Also damage from his quirk.

- Has a bass guitar and plays it to relax sometimes. It's one of the very few things he has in his room.

- Will not allow anyone into his room unless he absolutely trusts them.

- Forms unhealthy attachments to people so he tries not to get attached at all.

- Often resorts to substances to cope with emotions. A habit he picked up on his days on the streets. Violence and setting shit on fire help, too.

- Bites things when he's very upset. Usually it's his pillow or sometimes his own hands.

- Random, possibly dangerous hook-ups are another unhealthy coping mechanism he picked up. Mostly, he just needs to feel wanted.
