«Okay, I got one.» Werewolf said, munching on a slice of pizza. It was Halloween and they met for their annual hang out, finally free to roam the streets freely for a night. And what did they do with all that freedom? They went out to eat pizza, obviously. «What pizza do dogs eat? Puperoni.» «My turn!» Witch chirped. «What does a pizza say when it introduces itself to you? Slice to meet you.» Ghost raised her hand beneath the sheet she was wearing. «What does a pizza say when it wants to cuddle? Fold me close…» Zombie took out his notepad and scribbled with shaking hand: “How can you tell if you’re in love?”. Then added below: “If they stole a pizza your heart.” «What type of person doesn’t love pizza? A weirdough.» Skeleton offered with his chattering laugh. Everyone turned to Vampire. «It’s dumb. I’m not gonna do it.» «C’mon, Vamp! It’s Pizza Puns Time, you have to!» Witch reasoned and Vampire sighed in defeat. «What did the parmesan say when it broke up with the mozzarella? I am too mature for you.» The lot laughed noisily and Vampire huffed: he hated Pizza Puns Time.

The ghost approached his wife from behind, slowly, all set in giving her the scare of her death. She was washing the dishes, even if they weren’t able to eat anymore; she found it relaxing, a way to pass time and pretend not to be stuck in that non-life forever. He reached for her shoulder and touched it lightly. She screamed and jolted, turning the shower head attached to the faucet and hitting him full-on with the water flow. When she realized it wasn’t some spooky demon but her dumb husband, she turned off the water; his sheet was soaked and he looked so unamused that she couldn’t help but start laughing. «Not funny.» he mumbled. «Serves you right!»

«He’s so cute!» Kath sighed in the phone and Lynn rolled her eyes so hard she was a bit scared they could fall from the orbits. She tried to block out her sister’s voice, but was quite hard since they were joined at the knee. Literally. Stupid tail. «Yeah! I think I could score a date if I try enough.» Kath listened for a few seconds, then snickered. «Of course in human form, you silly. I can’t show up with a snake tail and attached to my sister! It’s fine for a few hours if Lynn is in a 200 feets radius.» Typical, talking about her like an accessory. And Kath knew about her crush on Noah, what was all that about? Lynn huffed, irritated. Like either of them could really have a chance with him.

«It’s a scarf.» Sierra said nervously, twisting her fingers together behind her back. «I can see that.» Morgan commented, amused. The gift wasn’t wrapped, just neatly folded and kept together with a cute bow. She undid the knot and rubbed the soft material of the scarf between her fingers; the white piece of clothing contrasted beautifully with her dark skin. «It’s so soft, thank you.» «Psh, it’s nothing!» «Now open yours.» Morgan added, gesturing to the small package left alone under the tree. Sierra nodded and tore the wrapping paper apart, still a bit mad at herself for not being able to wrap presents properly; inside there was a bracelet and a little card with “Valid for a kiss” written in Morgan’s messy handwriting. The elder rested her chin on Sierra’s shoulder, grinning. «Want to use your coupon?»

«Ahw, that’s cute.» Tony commented behind his mug of scorching hot coffee. Thor came out of the elevator slowly, shuffling tiredly in the kitchen of the common flat and rubbing at one of his eyes. «Looks like someone had too much to drink last night?» «I lost a bet.» the God of Thunder murmured darkly, blushing in his Pikachu onesie. He had a Iron Man doll between his arms, which he sat on the table. «I’m most certain Barton used some sort of trickery.» «Of course he did.» Tony nodded, reaching for the doll and examining it with lazy smile. «The doll is a nice touch, tho.» «Don’t make fun of me, Man of Iron.» the blond warned. He somehow managed to look intimidating even in a pokèmon pijamas, what kind of witchcraft was that? «I wouldn’t dare, little Kathy.» the engeneer replied sweetly, coughing to dissimulate a laugh. Thor, growled and got up, grabbing him by the neck and slamming him against the kitchen island with a thud. Tony choked, grabbing the other’s wrist. «Woah! Calm down, big boy!» «Am I not manly enough for you, Tony?» the God hissed, unzipping his onesie. «What the fuck?!» the engineer yelped when the blond flipped him over and basically tore his trousers apart, keeping him in place with a big hand pressed on his head. «Hey! What if someone walks i-» «Shut up.» Thor boomed, sucking two fingers and shoving them inside the smaller man, whom jolted in pain-pleasure, still a tender from their last encounter but turned on from his unusual forceful attitude. «I’ll show you how manly I can be.»

«Be a good boy, Muffin: I'll be back in a bit, alright? Love you.» The cat purred loudly, bumping lightly its head against his owner's wrist. She scratched it under its chin, just where it liked it, then waved and went out the door. Muffin trotted to the window and jumped on the window sill, looking at the girl while she started her car. She was going to come back with that human boy, that was for sure. It's not that the cat didn't like him, actually he had a nice smell and he made the owner happy but she was Muffin's propriety. It was genuinely sorry for him, really. The cat jumped down and stretched lazily, looking around itself to find its target for today: gotta show them who was in charge.

불어라 바람아 Wind, blow 더욱더 거칠게 Even stronger 끝까지 시험해 봐 괜찮아 Test me till the end, I’m alright 난 그리쉽게 꺽이지 않아 I don’t break down that easily
(Cause I’m cactus)
내 몸에 난 가시 가 전부다는 아냐 The thorns on my body aren’t everything 내 안에 진짜 내 모습을 바라봐 Look at the real me inside 날 차갑게 보지는마 Don’t look at me so coldly 따듯하게 조금만 다가와봐 Come to me warmly 제발 한명이라도 너만이라도 Please just one person, just you 너무 간절하니까 Because I’m so desperate
The pink balloon made of gum explodes with a “pop” and the little cactus doesn’t even flinch a little: she just clean it off of her face and proceeds to pop the gum back in her mouth once again.
She knows that nobody is going to pick her today, just like the day before and the one before that, so she tries to convince herself and everyone around her that she doesn’t care.
Customers looks at her prickly appearance and don’t spare her another glance, so the owner moved her to the back of the flower shop. She doesn’t let it get to her: she’s stronger than that. But when the doorbell rings she can’t help but look up from her vase. When her eyes meets his she can’t help to dream even if just for a second, that he’ll be the one.
She hopes.
«Goodmorning.» «Goodmorning, how can I help you?» the owner says. With a warm simile, the boy points at her and she feels her heart skip a beat.
«Can I have that little cactus?»

Day 475.
I don’t even know why I’m still writing these notes. I guess it makes me feel a bit less lonely. The last encounter with a living person has been on day 210 and by now I doubt I’ll meet other survivors anytime soon. Everyone is too busy not dying and chopping zombies’ heads off to look for company, which is quite understandable in this situation.
This afternoon I found this little house at the edge of the woods; I had to “dispose” of the previous owners, dead but incredibly feisty, and I’m thinking about stopping here for a while. The building itself is in decent shape and I know I can secure it better once I find the right tools. Inside it’ll be even cute after a good scrubbing.
Actually, maybe I’ll build a sturdy fence and start growing things in the garden, just like in the movies. I have no idea on how to accomplish that but I’ve got plenty of time to figure details out. For now I’ll just make sure that everything is locked for the night and tomorrow I’ll write a “to do” list.
Ps. I found a chicken near the house, now it’s sleeping in the bathtube. I think I’ll name it Lola.

«I just had the weirdest dream ever.» Spencer announced, sitting on the stool with a little jump and spinning for good measure. How he managed to be that energetic on a monday morning was a mistery for his roommates.
Daniel turned to Josh with a warning look, pointing a spatula at him. «Josh don’t you fucking dare.»
«What was it about?» Josh asked innocently at the same time, looking sincerely puzzled when he saw Dan facepalming himself. «What? What did I do?»
«I was a pig stuck in a puddle of mud. I was on a quest to find an ancient object in order to save the world from chaos but an envious sheep pushed me inside it yelling “Swiper, no swiping!” at me.» he described, moving his hands around for emphasis. «I couldn’t get out!»
«That’s… pretty weird, yeah.» nodded Josh.
Daniel sighed. «For the record, I told you that watching “Lord of the Rings”, “Babe” AND “Dora the explorer” before sleeping was a bad idea.»

Every time she held tight that beautiful and terribly expensive necklace, Rose couldn't bring herself to care about its monetary value. The only things that mattered to her were the memories buried inside that heart-shaped blue gem, its color as rich as the deepest sea.
"Heart of the Ocean", people called it, and for a good reason.
She held it near to her own heart and closed her eyes; she could almost hear the music, feel Jack's warm gaze on her naked body and the smell of the charcoal that always stained the tips of his slender fingers, oh so many years ago. Long lost was the music and the man that stole her heart with his twinkling eyes and his mischievous smile.
She kissed the gem goodbye and threw it in the ocean before heading back to her cabin and slipping into her bed. When she closed her eyes again she knew that was for the last time; she could feel death's cold arms welcoming her sweetly while losing consciousness.
 She wasn't scared, though.
She was going to see her Jack again.

The silvery key sparkled against his chest. He was enamoured with the object: his grandmother had gifted it to him directly from her vintage collection. She was proud of every single piece, all bought in flea markets from around the world since she traveled a lot when she was younger. That particular key she had found in Italy in 1965, in Venice, so he was stunned when she gave it to him. «Don’t lose it.» she had recommended, sliding it on a chain and fastening it behind his tiny neck. «It’s a very particular piece, you know?» This is the reason why when the necklace suddenly broke and the key was swept in the nearest drain by rainwater he ran after it in a panic and kneeled to peek inside. «Oh, hello little one.» The boy gasped and fell on his bottom: in the drain there was a clown. A quite spooky one. «Is this pretty thing yours?» the clown asked with a toothy smile, showing him his precious key.

Cora slided inside of the building, closing quietly the double set of doors behind her and double checking before picking up the package she just stole. She didn't feel guilty at all: the apocalypse had changed everything, first of all the moral compass of the few survivors. It was funny, actually, seeing how a person can change drastically when the sun suddenly decides that kissing sweetly the earth's cheek while holding her hand isn't enough anymore. The fucker added a ton of tongue and now the whole planet was scorched, the water boiled and they were slowly and painfully dying of hunger, thirst, sickness and God knows what else. Those who didn't die on the spot, obviously.
«Hey, you're back.» Hayley was smiling at her from their sort-of-bed, sleepy eyes still half closed. Her burnt leg looked better, it was finally scarring and she looked like she could bend the knee a little without crying.
«That I am! And I have something for you~» Cora sing-songed, kneeling by her side and giving her the package. Hayley knew what was inside even without looking.
«Did you stole meds again?» she asked, furrowing her brows. «I told you, I'm almost not in pain anymore, I don't like it when you steal from other survi-mphf!»
Cora silenced her with a deep kiss, bumping their noses a little in the haste of the moment, both in hope to avoid the scolding and because she couldn't help herself: as cliché as it may sound, her girlfriend was too cute when she was irritated.

«Here, now they should be alright.» she said with a smile, cutting carefully the thread and making a little knot. It had been quite the feat finding a needle and a thread small enough to repair those tiny black trousers. She opened the bottle and the fairy took them gingerly.
«Try them on.»
She turned around to leave him privacy, listening to the rustle of clothes.
«They're perfect! Thank you!» he beamed, doing a little twirl and making his human friend laugh. «Can you please bottle me up again?»
«Yeah, of course.» she sighed. «But you can't hide in this thing forever, you know?»
He pouted, furrowing his brows and crossing his arms. «Try me.»

«You look like you were run over by a truck. A few times.»
The redhead rolled her eyes, looking at him through the mirror in front of which she was currently standing.  «Oh really? And whose fault is it?» she asked with a sarcastic tone, touching her swollen cheek and hissing in pain.
The boy held his hands up in surrender, an apologetic look clearly visible in his dark eyes. «You asked me to train you.»
«I asked you to train me, not to transform me into a cubist painting.» she sighed. «There's no way my sister won't notice this.»
The right side of her face was bruising fast, her cheek and lips an angry red and purple mess. The lower lip was broken but luckily wasn't bleeding anymore. It hurt like hell, though.
«I'm sorry, I might have gone too far this time.» he murmured, closing the distance and hugging her from behind. «I don't like doing it either.»
«I know. You're right, I asked you so I shouldn't complain. I'm just scared of Sam finding out about all this. » she smiled at his reflection as best as she could, placing a hand on his.
«Maybe it's the right occasion. You should tell your sister.»
«Yeah. Imagine it: "Hey big sis! Don't worry about my face, I pay a cute guy to beat me to a pulp two times a week to make me stronger, but how was your day?"» she shook her head. «She can't understand. She'd freak out.»
«Hey!» he whined in protest, spinning her around. «You don't pay me!»
«I buy you food every day and with all you eat be reassured that I am paying you.»
«Meanie.»

«I t-think these will look wonderful on you, Madame.» stuttered the nervous shop assistant, handing carefully a box to the old woman sitting on the pouf. She was tall and so thin that you could see her ribcage through the austere and antiquated dress she wore. Her features were angular, adding to her appearance a stricht-orphanage-directress feel that made her straight up scary.
The woman produced a pair of high faux-leather black boots from the box and tried them on, smoking through her black cigarette holder without a second of pause. «Yes, these will work fine.» she decided, looking at the boots with a bored expression.
Humans were quite dumb, but made nice pieces of clothing.

The wind was howling around her, but she couldn't hear it over the deafening sound of the blood rushing in her ears. His voice, though, cut through the noise like a hot knife in butter.
«Hold on tight!»
He was too far up and the rope was getting weaker and weaker by the second. He was desperately trying to pull her up and she was climbing as fast as she could at the same time but they both knew it was useless. Her attention zeroed on his lips. They were chapped, distorted in a deep frown from both effort and sheer terror but they were still the most beautiful lips she had ever seen.
«No! Please don't give up!»
She loved the way they thinned when he smiled his bunny-like smile and mole under the bottom lip was the cutest thing in the world. She wished she had told him.
The rope snapped.

The bunny was fairly small, a little ball of pristine white, fluffy fur. And had… a hat? I furrowed my brows, inching closer, and it suddenly turned and got up in alarm, balancing itself effortlessly on his hind legs.
I couldn’t believe what was in front of my eyes.
The little one had indeed a tiny hat on his head, placed slightly askew and with a couple of feathers dangling stylishly on the right, and a monocle apparently attached to its face. A ticking clock was incased right in its chest and I could hear it ticking discreetly; an entire band of its stomach area had been replaced with metal, just like a portion of its right thigh. Both legs were partly made of metal, too, and I could clearly see a spring in each one.
«Oh, good evening. I’m really sorry to bother you, is there a chance that you’re able to speak? I tried to talk with those hedgehogs for ages but they seem unable to comprehend me.» the rabbit asked politely, moving a couple of bouncing steps closer. I nodded, too stunned to reply verbally.
