//got to the episode where her sisters make an actual appearance !!! I love the family BULL in this one. Ariel and Arista fighting like actual siblings, Triton touching on the topic of their mother, the girls working together to stop the Gators, who I also liked to a certain degree. (Still don’t understand why the female needed to have a Snatched Waist but ok-)

//all in all, it was good to see them getting along and actually on screen. Good episode !!!

Ariel and her sisters: A small guide to King Tritons family !!

Attina: 22, the oldest sister. Her tail is coral-orange.

Alana: 21, the second-to-oldest sister. Her tail is purple.

Adella: 20. Her tail is yellow.

Aquata: 19. Her tail is blue.

Arista: 18. Her tail is red.

Andrina: 17, second-to-youngest sister. Her tail is violet.

Ariel: 16, the youngest sister. Her tail is teal.

Some of this info is... CONSIDERABLY OFF, with Adella saying she’s only 2 years older than Ariel and random details like that. But, honestly, Disney didn’t care too much about her sisters, so there’s no concrete evidence on anything. I just made this guide to help me out !!

//Honestly, the Little Mermaid cartoon is surprisingly good !!!! I remember the ACTUAL HORRORS of the Emporers New Groove cartoon. Totally destroyed everything the movie stood for, in my opinion. Tried watching it again a while back, and... Yzma was enough for me to turn it off. But this one is good! Ariel has a GREAT relationship with her father, the side characters are so creative, and everyone’s written so well !!

//with that being said: I’m also very sad :(

//they completely removed Ariels sisters. I LOVED her sisters, and I was SO looking forward to their in-cartoon interactions. Now, they’re replaced by 4 randos who seem to dislike her entire existence. They’re always scowling at her like some kind of prep vs goth girl anime antagonist, when, in the movies, her REAL sisters were supportive, and actually liked her.

//Now, I’m real early into the series, so I don’t know if her sisters get some limelight or not, but as of now, they’re 1, NOWHERE, and 2, mean and cranky. They even SAY that she’s got 6 sisters, but they only ever really show 4, and they look NOTHING like themselves. (Might also be over-looking that, but even so, I’m Sad :( )

//overall, though, it’s a really good watch!!! I highly recommend it if you’re like me, and watch all 3 movies right after the other, and feel like you can’t re-watch them. (I also happen to watch them in like... Order of the lore?? So I start with Ariels Beginning, move onto the OG film, then Return to the Sea.)

I play Ariel just before the first movie occurs. She’s 16, collects human-artifacts, and that’s basically her entire life. Aside from bothering her father, of course.

I also play Ariel in a Human!AU, in which she’s mute, and works at an aquarium, to her fathers dismay. Other than that, she’s still basically just Ariel. Ariel born with legs !!!

When it comes to shipping, I’m BEGGING to find an Eric, but I’m good with other characters, too ! Ariel really isn’t hard to swoon ✨
