Hornet and Quirrel in Queen's Gardens! ♥

My favorite locations are the green ones, including the Gardens, even if they are quite deadly. But still. I don't know what this duo is doing there, Ghost has never met any of them there, but so what? I like these two and "planting" these plants gave me a lot of pleasure. 🌱

If you haven't played Hollow Knight and have no idea what's going on here, I made a thumbnail for you from pieces of frames from the game. It's actually quite funny, because the "fake screenshot" below was created as a second one and a bit without thinking, and it looks very consistent with the finished collage. Even the plant above their heads and the lamp match!

From my childhood I remember summer walks in the meadows. Not much time has passed, but the meadows are gone. Only new housing estates. Supposedly this is "progress" and development. But at night you can no longer hear crickets and frogs and somehow you feel… sad.

I can imagine how the smallest inhabitants of my forest could spend time in the meadow. Because they also go for walks, right? 🪁🧺🌼

Raspberries have strong emotional and romantic associations for me, probably for literary reasons (raspberry bush, picking raspberries in a jug... Those who have read Leśmian or Słowacki it know...). 📚❤️

Apparently Jack has similar associations, because I really don't know where he got that raspberry for Spot. 🦌🐇

I've been saying lately that I'm working on two collages with characters and places from Hollow Knight. You've already seen Quirrel in City of Tears, and so has Hornet, but in her case I haven't revealed either the background or that Quirrel is also there! So... Ta-dah! I'll upload a versions with a white and colored backgrounds soon. Working on it gives me a lot of joy! ✂️🎨

And in case you had any doubts - it's canonical that these two cuties already know each other: 🪳 🕷️

They just sitting, quietly. I'm not sure if the Frog Wizard is babysitting the little girl or if she's planning to feed him? Or maybe both. And what does the mantis have to do with it? Is she a threat? Is she guarding them? Is she just walking around the roof? I have no idea. But somehow I have a feeling that rain is coming… 🌧️

I love how something that died becomes part of something alive again, but in a different way.💀🌱

Collage sketch, just for fun.

From my childhood I remember a song:"little ants walking through the green forest and singing very very quiet: LA! LA! LA! LAAAAA!!!~". 🗣️🗣️🗣️

I imagined them in two rows, like preschoolers on a walk. And they were led by the Ant Herder, whom you met at the very beginning of our collage adventure. 🔔🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜

I've already said that as soon as I saw the source material, I knew that it was Quirrel from the first collage. But that body position also gave me an idea. The memory of Quirrel on the bench in the City of Tears immediately came to my mind. Who among us hasn't sat there with him? ☔ So I created gothic windows flooded with rain, mosaic floors and of course lamps with little white Lumafly (close-up at the very bottom of the post). And of course Quirrel, chilling during his journey.

Sorry, the title is untranslatable. And groaner! Literally means "perch", but there's also "horse" in this word. So now you get the idea. I could have titled it as "seahorse", but that's not the same. Anyway… 🐴🐟

Another version of hippocampus. This time with a fish tail and in color (gosh, I love the colors here!). The girl who team isn't a mermaid, I think. She's more like some kind of water-people. 🐚

A simple collage for a quiet day.

A pleasant breeze, sun rays... The laundry dries faster and it is worth opening the window to air the house. But apart from that, there is nothing to do. You can go outside, sit in an armchair and enjoy Saturday. Even the wasps are calm. 🍄🪑🐝

Below is a close-up of the window, because I really like the windowsill with the pots. 🪴🪴

Recently I presented a fan art collage only with Hornet, this time my second (equal) favorite - Quirrel, also solo. 🪳❤️

I found a base material with a man and immediately noticed that these clothes were worn by Quirrel in my first collage. So I had to use it. Soon I will show the whole collage with the background, then his relaxed position and sleepy face will make sense. So please, stand by! ✂️

I'll repeat myself - who said that mandrake is one kind? How many varieties of carrots or potatoes do we have?! Hence the second mandrake, this time in the iris type. With color subvarieties! The inscriptions are similar to the previous collage, I wanted them to be coherent, like in a magical botanical book. 💐🌱
