“Where is the lady with short hair that is always at the front till?” I have been asked that question for years since I took over WLY - well here she is! This Mama of mine came in on the past weekend as a causal as we were short staffed. She had a blast, seeing old customers and catching up on life. I think she was chit chatting more than working though..🤣 She is definitely still enjoying retirement and I couldn’t be more happy for her. Happy Father’s Day Weekend Treat Dad, Dada, Grandpa, Uncle , Brother or any fatherly figure in your life to a nice lunch with us. I want to especially wish my father-in-law, aka our main baker who makes out fabulous buns a great weekend getaway! My FIL is a man of his word. Every time I encounter a problem at the restaurant, he is always the first to step forward and help me solve it. He always finds a way to make things work out, if he says it’s doable(even-though at times I have my doubts), he will make it doable. He keeps his words. I appreciate him so much! ….the end of a memorable journey…. Wishing our long time neighbours Fisgard Market Ken + his family all the best in their next adventure. We have been neighbours with Fisgard Market for as long as I can remember growing up as little girl. My favourite memory is running into WLY to see mom, eating my favourite curry chicken vermicelli (I miss that dish!), and ask mom to take me next door to buy white rabbit candies and chocolate dipped pocky.
