The Star

You have endured many challenges. While you have suffered perhaps you were not aware of your own strength, you have managed to get through this without losing your hope. The Star brings peace, hope, a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Star ultimately has to do with one’s freedom. Allow yourself to dream, to aspire, to elevate in any way possible so you can reach the stars.

Remember that you hold within you all that you need for your fulfilment- the only thing you need is courage.

A lady, unclothed, kneeling at the side of a pool. She holds a container of water in each hand, the subconscious and the conscious. The water is used to replenish the soil, and carry on the cycle of abundance. This creates balance between the conscious and the subconscious.

The lady is depicted as having one foot on the ground, signifying her practical skills and sound judgement, while the other step in the water, signifying her intuition.

Above the woman shines an eight pointed star representing inspiration, contentment and optimism. Seven smaller stars whose symbolism is disputed, many people believe they represent the seven chakras.

The star is ruled by Uranus, the planet of extremes, breakthroughs, limitlessness, upheaval and rebellion.

I made this for my boyfriend for his birthday. I’ve been doing calligraphy for fun for a little over a month now, I am having so much fun with it! This piece is inspired by The Star tarot card as well as the fire/wands/music suit of the William Blake tarot deck. Made with pen, colored pencil, and a gold calligraphy pen.
