Legal Name: Jennifer Dimarco
Codename: Surge
Metahuman Abilities: Hydrokinesis
Alignment: Lawful Good
Supersuit: Sleeveless black body suit that can change into water with her body.
Story: Jennifer Dimarco came from a family with a long history of military service, dating back to before America’s founding, so it was no surprise to her parents when she wished to enlist. She was the top of her class in every field and took no shortcuts in her training. It was this incredible training combined with the knowledge that her younger brother had attempted to kill himself that drove her metagene to activation.
Her powers initially frightened her beyond belief. Her entire body had turned into water, converting her entire being into a strange, “living water” form. She could switch between water’s other states, ice and steam, with enough practice. Jennifer eventually reported her abilities to her commanding officer, and she became part of research to understand the military applications of metahumans. She had more than enough training with her abilities in this program.
Recently, she has been deployed to deal with metahuman threats in the United States and around the world.

Legal Name: Oran Jackson
Codename: Strawman
Metahuman Abilities: Energy Redirection, Energy Absorbtion, Power Mimicry, Magic
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Supersuit: Royal purple and gold blazer, harlequin mask, clawed gloves
Story: Oran Jackson has had a hard life. He was born in the darker parts of New York City, to an unwed mother who died during childbirth. He hadn’t any family, so he simply had to survive on his own. He fought every day so that he wouldn’t go to bed starving. For these hardships, his metahuman abilities developed much sooner than most. Jackson was running away from street thugs when they cornered him to an electric fence. Jackson was pushed up against the fence and absorbed all the power inside of it like a battery. All charged up, he fought. He killed all three of his attackers without mercy. Over the years, he experimented with this ability. He could absorb any kind of energy. Kinetic, potential, electric. He could even take the momentum from one object and transfer it to another immediately.
After he legally became an adult, he moved to New Orleans and sought to make an empire for himself in the slums and swamps of the city. However, he ran into trouble when he encroached on the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans’s territory. Clarisse de la Croix had no desire for competition but Jackson also had no desire to be competition. They came to an agreement. Jackson would work for her as one of her generals in the city and in return, she would instruct him in her magical ways, in addition to not killing him. Even though Oran was not inherently magical, due to his abilities with energy, he was able to absorb enough magical energy in his this period, that he could now wield like any sorcerer.
Currently, Strawman has used his skills to get into the political game and influence as many lives as he can, the way he sees fit, for better or worse.

Legal Name: Charles Morgensen
Codename: General Backwards
Metahuman Abilities: Immortality, Mental Manipulation
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Supersuit: Dark grey military uniform.
Story: Charles Morgensen, or General Backwards as he is known today, was born in 1832 and at the age of 29, he served in the American Civil War. Historical records show that he did not fight for either side, but that is not to say that he was neutral in the conflict. He switched sides constantly between the North and the South, This was part of how he received his moniker. Historical accounts tell of a soldier who seemed to be running the wrong way or to the wrong side based on his uniform.
Morgensen has survived to this day and some historians argue that he’s made his way to every major historical event in the past 150 years. He overturned the Russian monarchy with the Bolsheviks, assisted with the construction of the Atom Bomb and he alone killed thousands during either World War. His bloodlust knows absolutely no bounds and some say that this is the true source of his immortality; the use of some ancient blood magic.

Legal Name: Unknown
Codename: Doorman
Metahuman Abilities: Dimensional Travel
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Supersuit: Bright yellow tailored suit
Story: The Doorman is an enigma to the Government of the United States. He has no legal name, no paper trail and no connections or roots anywhere in the United States. The best analysts have attempted to track him with not much success but here’s all the information that they could amass, including conjecture, inference and speculation:
“The Doorman has origins or has spent an extended period of time in the Deep South region of the United States, as suggested by his thick Southern drawl. Though, given his abilities, it is in my professional opinion that this might be somewhat of an “interdimensional tick,” a remnant of a place in the universe he visited once before. The Doorman demonstrates this accent in all encounters, and this accent would immediately seem out of place in certain situations.
Wherever the Doorman appears, he always appears and creates so-called ‘grand trials’ to influence the local populace. One such trial is his annual Meta-Race. The Meta-Race invites metahuman participants from around the globe to meet and compete for a portion of the Doorman’s legendary fortune, amassed from his exploits over the years.
The Doorman never goes anywhere without two things: a key necklace and his bodyguard, only identified as Cain. Both are intriguing to analysts. Intel suggests that the key might be the source of his incredible powers of teleportation. Much like the Doorman, Cain is also a complete enigma. Little has been observed of his powers in action, only that they have been described as “haunting.”

Legal Name: Mary Anne Storme
Codename: Mary Thunder
Metahuman Abilities: Atmokinesis
Alignment: Lawful Good
Supersuit: Red peacoat with a thunder emblem pin, black leggings or skirt, thunder emblem earrings
Story: Weather reporter Mary Anne Storme’s life was changed forever when she reported the last story of her career as a journalist. On a special report to Nevada, her and her camera girl, Kelly Corner, were caught in the middle of a massive conflict between hero and villain: Tornadra, and Cyclone Supreme, respectively. Storme was known for her gusto and perseverance even in incredibly dangerous conditions. Corner was known for following her boss wherever she lead. They had gained a reputation for covering extreme weather, especially that related to metahuman individuals.
The clash raged on and Mary Anne covered the event. It became a national spectacle that not even the military could squash. As the fight continued, Mary Anne and Kelly got closer and closer to the action until they were in the eye of the storm created by the conflict. The incredible winds blown up by the fight created extreme static buildup that started to form lightning. This buildup didn’t scare Mary Anne as she and Kelly captured every second for national television. Eventually, they got caught in the crossfire and both Mary Anne and Kelly were struck by lightning.
Tornadra rushed them away as quickly as she could before dealing with Cyclone Supreme. Mary Anne woke up and could conduct electricity to her body, wherever she went electrical implements malfunctioned. Tornadra came to her and reluctantly agreed to train her to control her powers. Kelly Corner was not so lucky. When she awoke, her body was completely soaked by rain, and she was in a place she did not know. Tornadra was only able to save Mary Anne and Kelly was rescued by Cyclone Supreme’s master, Weatherblight. He instructed her not to control her abilities and let them run wild. In light of the random nature of her powers, she took the name Weather Vain.
Mary Anne took the name Mary Thunder after saving an entire city from Weather Vain’s vengeful rampage. She personally handled the cleanup of the city. To this day, she protects people all around the United States but calls Seattle her home city and protectorate.

Legal Name: Carlisle Jonathon Schott III
Codename: Jack the Stripper/Shots
Metahuman Abilities: Extreme compartmentalization, optical blasts (as Shots), pheromone manipulation (as Jack the Stripper)
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Supersuit: Colorful corset, lace, fishnets, high heels and women’s makeup (Jack the Stripper)/Black blazer, blue-white button up, black heels (as Shots)
Story: Carlisle Schott was born into a wealthy family, an heir to a massive fortune based on the family business of wine production. The Schott’s owned nearly all the wine in California. He had a comfortable but largely unhappy childhood. Anything he asked for he received, except the love of his parents and siblings. He was sent off to boarding school at a young age where he received the best education and mental stimulation but faced social isolation from his less developed and open-minded classmates.
When Schott came home from his last semester in boarding school, he was given no warm welcome, no attention from the family he already felt so distant. Over the years, he slowly became more and more unhinged and removed from reality. He started to heavily use hard drugs and find comfort in sex. After an evening at the opera, Mr. and Mrs. Schott came home to find Carlisle in the throes of sex with both a man and a woman, his upper lip covered in coke. The shock alone made Mrs. Schott faint. Mr. Schott came at the trio with a pistol and ordered them out of the Schott estate. He instructed Carlisle specifically to never return.
Carlisle was able to gather a single change of clothes before scrambling away to the local bar. He drank himself nearly to death and his last minute as Carlisle Schott began. His mind split entirely in two, one side identified as Jack the Stripper, and the other known as Shots. He broke back into his childhood home and first murdered his sister with a meat cleaver from the kitchen. He found her stash of incredibly risque clothes, infuriating him even further. He took a corset, lace, fishnet stockings, and high heels from her room. He then, moved to his brother’s room. He slit his throat in his bed, and took his black blazer from his room. Finally, he went to his parent’s master bedroom and first awoke his mother. He discovered he could control other people if they were in close proximity to him. He ordered her to stab her self 20 times or until she was dead. Then, his other side took over as he slipped the blazer on. His other newfound power was put to great use as he brutally murdered his father, leaving a hole in the bed where his father’s head used to be.
Multiple psychiatric hospitals have attempted to cure his unique affliction but none have succeeded. He has amassed a small cult following, as well as a criminal enterprise. As Jack the Stripper, he reeks havoc on unsuspecting civilians. As Shots, he runs a drug ring and prostitution service. When Anne Mehlani created her superprison system, Schott was remanded to Prison City, where his criminal acts only excelled.

Legal Name: Anne Mehlani
Codename: Red Widow
Metahuman Abilities: Electrokinesis
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Supersuit: NA
Story: Anne Mehlani was born the daughter of the U.S. ambassador to Al-Hamra, a country near Saudi Arabia, and an international correspondent for the American media based in Paris, France. Her love of politics and international relations was fostered from her very beginnings. Her upbringing was atypical to say the least and was fraught with hard life-lessons. Once she had come of age, she enlisted in the military at the behest of her parents. She was determined to prove her worth without the aid of her parents fame and influence.
Anne’s metagene activated in her early childhood while on a diplomatic visit with her father to Al-Hamra. As their motorcade was traveling between government-restricted areas, an IED overturned their vehicle. The threat of death activated her metagene protecting her via electromagnetism. She passed out but when her father’s detail found her, the sand around her had turned to glass and she imbued with static energy. It wasn’t until her father came to pick her up that her powers calmed enough to bring her to safety.
After the military and after her parents’ death, she used her comfortable inheritance to travel and collect metahumans in hiding like her and Henry Nash. After a few years of collecting people for her retainer, she was appointed by President Nash to the position of Director of Metahuman Affairs for the department of the same name. Her primary project is to control metahumans for the betterment of the United States.

Metahumans
Metahumans are members of the human race who have developed superhuman abilities or have the potential to develop these abilities via the metagene. Metahumans are as varied as the human race itself, exhibiting powers as menial as bioluminescence or as dangerous as geo-thermal manipulation. Metahumans obtain their powers through a process known as activation. Activation happens when a metahuman’s metagene rewrites the individual’s genetic code when under extreme stress. This stress can be either mental or physical in nature. For most metahumans, their superhuman abilities begin to manifest during puberty. However, metagenes have been known to activate at other times in an individual’s life.
The abilities a metahuman manifests is not influenced by the circumstances of the metagene’s activation. This incorrect belief was propagated by a group of researches in the 1950s and 1960s, when they published one of the first truly scientific studies into metahuman activity. Metahumans had existed long before this study though. According to some archaeological finds, metahumans may have existed close to the beginning of mankind and maybe even in species other than human beings.
Starting in the 1970s, metahuman vigilantes, both heroic and villainous, began to emerge. The presence of these certain metahumans has swayed public opinion in both directions. Some argue the presence of so-called “supercriminals” is only because of the “superheroes.” Others make the case of the superheroes by stating in today’s world, we require their protection from the supercriminals and other threats too large for ordinary law enforcement or military forces to handle.
