we need to have a talk about seijuro not acknowledging the positive impact that he has on people's lives.

also yes, the first page wasn't included in the anime, which is absolutely horrendous from fujimaki. the show is so clearly dehumanizing sei to his "villainous" perception and honestly the mischaracterization in the fandom isn't helping either.

never once in the show are we hinted that seijuro actually comes off as selfless. wait. let me check something. oh, right. he SACRIFICED himself for the victory of his team (it's bokusei i'm talking about, in last game.) it's actually heartbreaking how he was never treated as someone who would actually go through the depths of hell for his friends (and even strangers, as it seems). never once in the anime are we exposed to his dismissive nature of just disregarding his own good actions for the sake of keeping his normality. or perhaps just his loyalty to staying humble, even if it seems that his perception of humbleness automatically means that he can't acknowledge the good he causes in other people's lives.

"i didn't do anything" boy, you did. i understand where you're coming from, since it's tetsuya's merit and hardwork that should be enlightened, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't YOU who spotted him out of the crowd and realized that he would be a great addition to the team. it was you who saw him and gave him a chance. it was you who saw through him.

i won't even talk about him saving the baby from the bus crash because what the hell is that even. you just saved a literal life and you're acting as if anyone would and could have done it. you're using your special abilities for the GOOD. dismissing it right after, like you won't be remembered by the mother for the rest of her life.

you do great things, seijuro. there's no shame in being a little proud, you know?
