STRAIGHT JACKET GUERRILLA FILM FESTIVAL: NO BUDGET NO RULES

Cinema is a way to express yourself by using a medium to communicate your every thoughts. However, it’s full of unsaid rules that can easily block the creativity of a filmmaker.
The Straight-Jacket Guerrilla Film Festival is here to challenge these rules and show everyone that cinema isn’t just about expensive cameras and a precise script. Comparable to the 60′s and 70′s video art, we believe in cinema as an experimental art form, a world way deeper than we may think where everything can result in an amazing feature film.
The goal is to show that we don’t have to limit ourselves to aesthetically pleasing images, we can dare to go further and question what is worth showing to an audience (the answer is: everything). Forget about what you’ve been taught and just make the film you want to make. Even without any money, you can manage to create something that will showcase your ideas and prove professionals that a low budget won’t decrease the quality of your story. The most important is that it is what it is: your story. If you feel like you have something to say, don’t wait and say it, film it and then send it to us and get a platform for your work!

We strongly believe that the internet is the future of cinema. Free, available movies for anyone, no struggle with distributors, no expensive tickets. The web really is the only way to connect with filmmakers from all over the world and this is also one of the reasons why our festival exists.
Never made a film before ? Submissions deadline is june 3rd, that leaves you enough time to shoot and edit your production. Dream big, if you can make a short, you can make a feature, that’s as simple as that.
We’re waiting for all of your fantastic work and can’t wait to host this second edition of the Straight-Jacket Guerrilla Film Festival.
