Watched season two of Interview With The Vampire. Good to know that I'm just as insane about this story now as I was when I read the books (as a fourteen year old who absolutely should not have been reading those books), it's such a wild experience watching one of your long time favourite stories come to life and being able to honestly say that the show is BETTER IN EVERY WAY. They fixed all the problems but kept what I loved. It's perfect. I'm so hyped to see The Vampire Lestat finally get an adaptation, I have been WAITING for SO LONG

I love Stolas saying "when have I ever talked down to you?" while... Very literally... Talking down to him. Like they made the height difference so focal while that was being said. Perfection

Like, some of us lose access to proper verbal thought processes when we're emotionally overwhelmed. But noooo, we're all just supposed to say the right thing IMMEDIATELY? When the other person had time to plan and prepare and process their emotions? How is that fair?

The problem is that Stolas doesn't understand that the transactional nature of their relationship was never actually the issue. That's just an excuse Blitzo uses to cover up his crippling self hatred. If anything their deal is a crutch he uses to believe he's allowed to have this one good thing in his life, because it's something he has to do rather than something he's choosing, and Stolas just took that away from him. Of course he didn't react perfectly! He's just had the ground pulled out from beneath his feet. Dumb bird (I love him) really needs to slow down and stop running long enough for Blitzo to process
