What I intended with the original post was not to throw accusations but to highlight a problematic thought process , which is why I included the first one but I can agree it was a reach( i love that guy i cant-).
On the transfer, though, I think that our views of consent differ. In my eyes, that relates to changing the fine print of a contract after it has been signed. For a weirder more graphic example just to get the point across, its like if i convinced my friend to try a dil*o like that dosen't automatically mean i can put my dick inside them just cuz theyre okay with being penetrated (im sorry that sentence is out there now i really am..it just came to mind).
For point 3, i did not mean to kink shame and i am sorry if it came out like that. I do agree that as long as theyre consenting adults its fine. However, i am slightly against this one instance of it because its between two parties that have already violated each other on a previous occasion (I didnt mention the bathtub scene last time because i was too uncomfortable reading it so i skipped to wwx being guilty about it). The main reason is that lwj never seems to face any repercussions for it. Wwx immediately accepts it and is happy about it. Same with wwx, it's quickly waved off considering how serious the subject is imo. So after all this, when the kink was introduced, it just felt like a cop out to me at least. Personally, i believe the story ended when things could finally change for the better, so i just headcannon them sorting this out properly later on and changing for the better uk.
Ya know between tricking lan wangji into reading porn, the golden core transfer, wen ning resurrection, dislike of jiang yanli wanting to marry jin zixuan, and his fantasies about being sexually assaulted(etc.), Wei wuxian has a very questionable view of consent (and or choice). Individually, these actions dont fully lead to that conclusion , but is this not a pattern of behaviour with the character?
And the fact that he ends up with lan wangji, who straight up kisses him without consent and has rape fantasies about him, is interesting. I low-key wonder if that was intentional or just something that happened.
No hate to the ship, ofc. This is just something I haven't seen many mentions of and also something that has bugged me since I read mdsz.
I'm not accusing them of being monsters ik they are both severely traumatised individuals dealing with a lot and are in shitty situations. I just wanted to get this off my chest.
If I have misunderstood, please just correct me nicely. I mean no harm, and i am fully open to changing my mind.

Can someone explain to me why jin zixuan is a red flag?
Like objectively what did he do that was so bad?All I remember his doing was:-
●Calling a girl mid.
(Havent we all? If this is a crime, the jails would be overrun. It's not his fault her brothers heard it. Altho I 100% support wwx decking him.)
●Defending his bestie from wen chao
●Trying to stand up against the exploitation of a working class woman by someone from the gentry.
(He didn't know he was fooled by her. Also, the situation is quite plausible. He does not deserve the hate for this!-)
●Being a tsundere
(Tbf he was an idiot but so were the leads. The worst thing he did here was not telling jin zixun to stfu.)
●Becoming donut
He always seemed to have the best intentions he was just a privileged dumbass abt it sometimes.

Random JC theory:
One of the things about jc that bugged me the most prior to the reveal of him distracting the wen soldiers was how he kept screaming at wwx about *his* family despite that same family being wwx guardians and sister. However, once his sacrifice was revealed, I could no longer believe that jc had absolutely no familial affection for wwx as the only people he cares to risk his life for is his family. So I began to question why he would then speak of wwx as an outsider. And of course, the obvious answer is his mother. I think another reason could possibly be that jc knows this will get under wwx's skin.
The lyrics, "My words shoot to kill when I'm mad. I have a lot of regrets about that." describes my headcannon of jc's behaviour here pretty well. As in when JC is upset and / or in a traumatising situation, he says things he knows will get underneath the skin of the less outwardly upset person he is talking to/arguing with.
Another example is when he is arguing with jgy in the temple and pulls the old "ur mom's a prostitute" insult that famously gets under jgy's skin. Again, I find it hard to believe that after co parenting JL together for such a long time that JC has no respect for him.
But that's just a theory , a novel theory.

Was there ever a horror movie u liked where the ending could go both ways, but you desperately wanted to believe the good ending?
Like for me, it would be Perfect Blue because I needed Mima to get a happy ending, and Coraline, as I was a child then and wanted to be safe from the other mother myself, lol.

My least favourite phenomenon is when a story leaves a lot of details upto interpretation and some people decide to interpret one character with the utmost grace and another with almost biblical hatred, then decide any other interpretation is invalid.
Very few people are truly irredeemable, and these characters are far from the worst people in fiction.
