I'm sorry for the unexpected hiatus everyone. I've been dealing with some things in my personal life which have been really been messing with my feelings and causing general confusion. The result is difficulty in writing fics because I can't write with feelings (which is how I usually write these things). Once again, I'm really sorry. I'll begin writing again once I figure everything out.

Note
can you write a part two of matchmaker?
I would love to do that. The only problem is that the story felt pretty much complete and I'm not sure what to do if I did a second part. If you have any ideas though, let me know and I will happily write it.

Colors (Draco Malfoy X Reader)
Tumblr media
I'll be honest, I've had this one fully written since last week. I've just been very nervous to post it because the ending is so bad 😅. I haven't been sure how to fix it and I've re-written it several times. This fic is definitely rushed but hey, it's a one-shot (and I wanted to try writing something short and sweet for once). This is still part of the Cliche Month Challenge by @wreckofawriter (sorry this was so late). I've finally gained enough courage to post it and I hope you enjoy this messy fic.
Prompt: An AU where you can only see the shades of your soulmate's eyes until you first touch.
House: You choose
Blood Status: You choose
Warnings: Possible swearing
Note: Again, very messy. Not sure I like this one too much. The reader in this story is female / uses female pronouns.
Word Count: 1,694 words
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3rd Person POV
Y/n opened her eyes to see the world was still the same shade of steel grey. She longed to know what the world truly looked like, to see actual colors other than this grey. When she was younger, she was ecstatic to learn that someone out there was destined to be with her. She used to fantasize about meeting her soulmate, seeing in color and her falling in love. She imagined what her soulmate would look like, what their personality was like, their likes and dislikes.
Now, as she grew older, she began to develop fears. What if they didn't like her? Even if the universe had put them together, there was still a chance they could reject her. What if she didn't like them? She never considered herself to be a picky person, especially when it came to love, but that didn't mean that they couldn't have a horrible personality. All of her friends have already met with their soulmates, and it did seem like they matched each other perfectly. They always talked about how beautiful the world was and how they couldn't wait until she could see the colors too.
She snapped out of her thoughts. Taking a deep breath, she walked off to the courtyard, hoping a good book could distract her from the whole soulmate situation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n wasn't sure how much time had passed when she finally finished her book. A few hours, at least. She looked around the courtyard, seeing that she was the only one there. She sighed, deciding to go back inside. Y/n looked at the sky, dreaming about the day she could finally see the blue sky her friends talked about. She wondered how beautiful the night sky looked when it was in full color, how pretty a sunset could be. Yet, all she could see was grey. She was almost at the point where she would begin to resent the color. Still, she remained patient, still trying to hold on to the small shred of hope that she would someday meet the one.
On her way in, she bumped into someone rather harshly. The two fell back, Y/n closing her eyes and rubbing her head gently from where it hit the ground. When she opened her eyes, her mind was blown as suddenly, she could see the world in color. Amazed, Y/n slowly took in her surroundings, admiring the green grass and the blue sky. She looked at the bark of the trees, the castle, the white fluffy clouds. Her eyes began to fill with tears as she slowly let it all sink in. She could see, she could finally see! It was all so much more beautiful than she could have ever imagined.
The boy in front of her got up with a groan. In her dazed state, Y/n had almost forgotten about him. She looked back at him to see platinum blonde hair and grey eyes looking back at her. Her face immediately became shocked as she recognized that familiar face, those eyebrows, those thin lips, those sharp cheekbones. Draco Malfoy.
Said boy looked back at her with the same shocked eyes. He glanced quickly around him, an astonished expression on his face. His grey eyes landed back on her, almost in disbelief.
"You're my—" They both whispered.
Y/n couldn't do this. Even when he didn't know they were soulmates, Draco Malfoy was a bigoted twat. How could the universe possibly pair her up with him? Y/n shook her head, before she got up and quickly retreated to her dormitory. She could hear Draco calling after her but she ignored him and simply kept running.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When she arrived, most of her friends were already there, talking amongst each other on their beds. At the sound of the door opening, they all turned their heads and greeted her. Y/n still couldn't believe that she could see in color because of Draco Malfoy. Now, she could see the color or her friend's hairs and their eyes. She turned to a mirror and examined her reflection, playing with her (h/c) hair. She could see that she had (e/c) eyes, which was so surprising, considering that she had only seen a grey version of herself for years.
"Hey, Y/n! I just want you to know that you're beautiful and you better not be saying bad things about yourself to that mirror!" (F/n) said.
"I'm not....I just...."
"You'll find your soulmate eventually, Y/n. Then you can finally see how pretty you are." Another friend reassured.
Y/n smiled back at her, not sure if she should tell her friends that she met them and that it was the worst possible matchup ever. She decided against it, telling herself that the universe had made a mistake. There was no way that Malfoy was her soulmate, she refused to believe it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost a week had passed after that incident and Y/n was still avoiding Draco. She could see him trying to reach out to her but she would quickly lose him in the crowded hallways. Everyday, every hour, she was playing a game of avoidance cat and mouse. She had gotten pretty good at it too, swiftly navigating her way through all the students.
Today was just another one of those days. There she was again, quickly walking through the crowds, afraid that she would see Malfoy and have to talk to him. Luckily for her, she managed to make it to class without running into him. She settled into her seat next to her friends, who were quietly gossiping to each other.
"Malfoy's been pretty quiet lately. Hasn't been taunting Potter or anything. He's not even picking on any first years."
"Maybe Dumbledore's finally had enough of his behaviour. Or maybe his father threatened to ground him or something."
Y/n stayed silent, listening in to their conversation. Great, even if she could physically escape Malfoy, he was still there in conversation. It really seemed like the universe was insistent that it was right with this pairing.
"Could you guys stop talking about Malfoy? He's old news anyway. Who cares if he's not bullying anyone for once? Maybe he's actually become a decent person." Y/n snapped.
Her friends looked at each other. "What's gotten you so riled up? You care about him or something?"
"Nothing. I just don't wanna hear about him. Let's just focus on the class, okay?"
Her friends nodded slowly, looking at her suspiciously before they changed the topic of their conversation. Why did she defend him? Everyone, including her, knew that he was a prat and that wasn't changing. Y/n sighed quietly, feeling frustrated. Another thing she had kept to herself was a feeling of longing for the blonde male. He appeared in her dreams like a prince offering to sweep her off her feet. She'd feel drawn to him when she saw him in the hallways, even when she forced herself to stay away from him. Y/n was afraid as to what it could mean, she couldn't accept the truth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After classes ended, she continued through her usual route back to her dormitory. Unfortunately for her, Draco Malfoy was waiting for her right at the entrance. She quickly turned to try and make a getaway but he grabbed her arm.
"Wait. L/n, can we please talk?"
"What's there to talk about?" Y/n asked coldly, even when her heart fluttered at his touch.
"Just, come with me." Draco began pulling her away as Y/n rolled her eyes and allowed him to drag her.
He took her to an empty hallway, where he finally let her go. Y/n looked at him expectantly, putting her hands on her hips. She knew this was coming, there was no avoiding it, especially when the universe constantly pushed them together. The universe can rot in hell.
"So...we both know that we're.....soulmates. Why do you avoid it?" He sounded hurt, and Y/n's heart ached at the thought of that.
"Because, you're Draco Malfoy. You bully Potter and practically everyone else in this school. All you care about is blood status, the Slytherin house, and impressing your arsehole daddy. You're a spoiled brat who acts like you're entitled to everything, and I refuse to be one of those things just because I'm your 'soulmate'." Y/n growled at him.
He seemed to take everything she said into consideration, which was extremely out of character for him. "I can change, Y/n. I can change for you. In fact, I already have. Haven't you noticed how silent I've been? It's been the talk of the school this entire week." He said, desperately. Y/n wondered why he was so persistent, why did he continuously chase her, even when she actively ran away?
"You feel it too, don't you? A pull to me, like a bond?" Draco asked, watching her carefully. Y/n didn't answer but her silence gave her away. "I feel it too. I see you in my dreams and Merlin, I feel my heart race when I see you. I know you think this is a mistake, but the universe doesn't make mistakes. I love you, Y/n. Just give me a chance to prove it." Draco took her hand softly.
Y/n felt it. Some sort of invisible bond tying her to him. The universe had her in its clutches and it would not let her go. She felt her heart tighten and she sighed. What could it hurt to try? Clearly, the universe wasn't giving up on this and maybe there was a good reason for that. She remembered that feeling of longing for the Slytherin boy and bit her lip.
Damn it all.
She took Draco's face and smashed her lips against his. It felt like everything clicked into place as he held her face and kissed back. His lips fit perfectly against hers and she could feel the world around them stop. It was as if the universe was satisfied with its work and was allowing them to enjoy their moment. She pulled away and opened her eyes, the colors around her seemingly more vibrant than before. Draco looked at her with the widest smile on his face.
"I'll take that as a yes?" He chuckled.
"Don't make me regret it, soulmate." Y/n smiled back.
Matchmaker (Draco Malfoy x Reader)
Tumblr media
Hi everyone! So....I know that it's been a while but I've recently joined a writing challenge called Cliche Month Challenge. It was made by @wreckofawriter (thank you so much for inviting me). Expect 2 more fics for this challenge. Also, I'm so sorry about being slow with requests, I am still writing them, I'm just being a turtle. This was really fun to write and I'm excited to write the other 2.
Prompt: 5 times Pansy and Theo failed to get Draco and Y/n together, and the 1 time they succeeded.
House: You choose
Blood Status: You choose
Warnings: Underage drinking, possible swearing, slight angst
Word Count: 4,822 words
A/n: If I'm being honest, this is a little messy and the point of view changes quite randomly at times. I'll also admit that it does seem pretty repetitive (heh). The reader in this story is female / uses female pronouns.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3rd Person POV
1.
Pansy and Theo snickered to each other in one of the hidden corners in the empty corridor. They watched as Y/n and Draco bumped into each other, waiting for the scene to unfold. For years, Pansy and Theo had to watch as the two friends fell deeper in love with each other but refused to confess their feelings because they were afraid it would ruin their friendship. Pansy was almost at the point where she almost screamed out to Draco that Y/n loved him so much and that she was sick of watching them dance around each other. Theo, on the other hand, found the two's obliviousness amusing and he wanted to see how many times he had to push them in the right direction before they confessed. So, the two teamed up to try and get their friends together to stop their useless pining. They continued to watch, listening in to the conversation between the two.
"Oh, sorry Dray, I didn't see you there." Y/n chuckled, feeling a light blush dust her cheeks.
"I didn't see you there either, (N/n)." Draco smiled back at her, blushing as well.
They stared at each other, an awkward silence now filling the room. Y/n couldn't tear her eyes away from Draco's grey eyes and his handsome face. Draco couldn't stop looking at Y/n's swirling (e/c) eyes. There was a certain warmth to them that captivated him. A few seconds passed before Y/n turned away and coughed slightly.
"Um, have you seen Pansy anywhere? I got this note from her to meet her here." Y/n asked, pulling out a small piece of paper.
"That's funny, I'm waiting here because Theo left me a note to meet him here." Draco said, confused.
"Do you think they-"
The two suddenly burst out laughing, thinking that they had both been ditched. They had no idea that Pansy and Theo had orchestrated the whole thing to let the two spend some time alone.
"Well, seeing that our friends have seemed to abandon us, how would you feel about spending the day with me instead, bestie?" Y/n smiled.
"I would love that, dear best friend." Draco answered.
From their hidden corner, Pansy and Theo watched the pair walk away. Pansy let out a frustrated sigh, turning to Theo.
"It didn't work! How can two people be so blind?" She pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance.
"Calm down, Pansy. We'll keep trying and eventually they'll see." Theo smirked. "I have another plan."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
2.
Classes had just ended and the hallways were filled with students quickly trying to move to their dorms or next class. Pansy and Theo waited outside of their friend's classrooms, prepared to pull off Theo's plan. Although Pansy would call said plan stupid, Theo wanted to see how far something as simple as this would go. Finally, Draco and Y/n emerged from their classroom, talking excitedly to each other. Pansy stuck her leg out in front of Y/n while Theo shoved Draco forward. The end result was Y/n falling to the floor with Draco falling on top of her.
The two teenagers stared at each other, completely forgetting about the awkward position they were in. Their faces were turned into a deep shade of red, their lips just barely an inch away from each other. Y/n's eyes flickered to Draco's lips, feeling his soft breaths hitting her face.
Pansy and Theo watched from the sidelines, the latter convinced that his plan had worked. He had a smirk on his face while Pansy raised an eyebrow at him. There was no way that Theo's stupid plan would work if her note plan failed. She turned back to her friends on the floor, seeing that all of their classmates had created a circle around them, waiting to see what would happen next. At first, it seemed as though Y/n and Draco were in their own world before Y/n took a look around and noticed the crowd. She looked back at the boy on top of her, her face growing even redder.
"Um, Dray, do you mind g-getting off of m-me?" Y/n stuttered, as if finally taking in the situation.
Draco also seemed to snap back into reality as he too looked around. "Oh yeah, sure. Sorry about that." He apologized as he stood back up and offered a hand to Y/n, who gratefully accepted it.
The students who were watching the scene, grumbled disappointedly before continuing on their way. Pansy looked up to see that Theo's smirk had faltered, a fact that she found herself smiling at.
"Not so easy, is it Nott?" She taunted.
"I got further than you." He answered bluntly.
Pansy snorted, patting Theo's back gently. "Like you said, we'll keep trying until it happens."
Theo flashed Pansy a smile, chuckling softly. "Damn right."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
3.
This time, Theo had concocted a plan based on Pansy's first idea with leaving fake notes for Draco and Y/n. It was around the time that dinner would happen and the sky outside was dark with thousands of stars littered across the black space. Like last time, Theo and Pansy hid themselves away from view, waiting for Draco and Y/n to arrive.
The two teenagers arrived at roughly the same time. Their eyes were lit up in surprise when they spotted the picnic blanket and candles placed gently on the grass.
"Did you-" Y/n started.
"What? No. Did you?" Draco asked.
Y/n shook her head before stepping in closer to the blanket. Atop of the checkered material, another note was waiting for them. Written on it, their names were printed neatly in fancy handwriting.
"Well, it looks like this whole set-up is for us." Y/n said, showing Draco the paper.
Draco raised his eyebrows before his signature smirk made its way onto his face. "Well, who are we to deny?"
Y/n's face turned red as Draco sat down on the blanket and gestured for her to sit with him. She obliged, settling next to her best friend.
"So, I'm guessing this note I got from you is also part of the set-up then?" Y/n questioned, taking out the note that Pansy left on her desk out of her pocket.
"I guess so, considering I also got a note from you." Draco chuckled, pulling out a similar note.
Y/n rolled her eyes at the utter ridiculousness of this situation. This had to be one of the stupidest pranks that anyone has pulled on her. Though deep down, she was glad that she could spend more time alone with Draco, so perhaps this 'prank' wasn't as bad as it seemed to be.
"Hey (N/n), you can really see the stars tonight." Draco pointed at the sky.
Y/n looked up and admired the stars with him. It felt nice, just being here with him and looking at stars together. She lay down on the blanket and started looking for any constellations she recognized. Out of the corner, she could see Draco closing his eyes and breathing slowly. He looked so peaceful in the quiet evening, the candle's light making him more attractive. Eventually, he opened them again before turning to her.
"Thank you, Y/n. Thank you for always being there for me. For always listening, no matter how little the problem is. I don't know what I'd do if you weren't my best friend." Draco said sincerely.
Y/n smiled back, "I'm happy that you're my best friend too, Draco."
About an hour or two had passed before the two friends decided to head back inside. They blew out the candles and took the blanket inside with them, smiling and laughing before they disappeared into the castle. Pansy and Theo came out of their hiding place, with Pansy grinning at a frowning Theo.
"It was a good attempt, Nott. Though it appears that not even you can get the two oblivious idiots together." She laughed.
"I'm still not giving up." Theo grunted.
"And neither will I. We'll get them someday, I just hope it won't take years."
Theo chuckled at the thought of him and Pansy spending the rest of their years at Hogwarts trying to get their two friends together. "Yeah, let's hope."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
4.
One of the students was hosting a large party in one of the school's unused rooms. Luckily for Pansy and Theo, they managed to convince their two friends to come join them. There was a rumour that Blaise had managed to sneak some alcohol into the party to 'spice things up'. Pansy and Theo arrived at the party to see Y/n and Draco already chatting away happily in a corner. Theo leaned over to Pansy, a worried expression on his face.
"Are you sure about this?" He asked.
"Of course. Drunk words, sober thoughts, all that stuff. Just keep Draco away from Y/n and leave the rest to me."
He nodded before making his way to their friends, greeting them before taking Draco's arm and leading him away, leaving Y/n all alone. Blaise approached Pansy, two glasses of firewhiskey in his hands.
"Hey Parkinson, you want to join in on the fun?" He asked, lifting a glass to her. Pansy smiled, taking both glasses from him.
"Of course." She said, making her way over to Y/n, who looked a little nervous as she watched the rest of the party.
"Hey Y/n."
"Oh, hey Pansy."
"Great party, eh?"
"I guess so." Y/n answered uncertainly.
"What's wrong?" Pansy asked, knowing exactly why Y/n was uncomfortable.
"Pans, you know I've never been much of a party person, I don't even know why I agreed to come here."
"Because of Draco?" Pansy questioned slyly, watching Y/n's face grow red. She laughed at her friend' reaction, becoming even more amused at Y/n's attempts to shush her.
"You know what you need, Y/n? I think you need a little bit of liquid courage." Pansy held up the glass of firewhiskey to Y/n.
Y/n seemed to consider this before she cautiously took the drink from Pansy. She looked at the Slytherin girl, who nodded approvingly. Gathering her courage, Y/n lifted the glass to her lips and let the burning liquid go down her throat. She looked back to Pansy, seeing her friend offering her another drink.
"Two drinks in and you'll probably feel more comfortable." Pansy smirked, knowing fully well that Y/n was a lightweight and two drinks would be enough to get her totally drunk.
Y/n ignored any warnings ringing through her head and gulped down the second drink. Not long after, the effects of the alcohol began to take over. The next thing she knew, her brain felt fuzzy and she couldn't quite think properly.
"Pansy, have I ever told you how much I love you?" Y/n hiccupped. Pansy chuckled at the sight of her drunk friend, gently wrapping one of Y/n's arms around her back and taking her back to Draco.
"Yes, you have. Now for you to say that to Draco." She muttered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Pansy had finally found Theo and Draco, Y/n was a drunken, blabbering mess. Draco looked worried as he took Y/n off of Pansy's back.
"What happened to her?" Draco asked, brushing some of Y/n's hair out of her face.
"She had a bit too much firewhiskey to drink. Come on, let's take Y/n back to our common room so she can sober up." Pansy answered, watching Draco take one of Y/n's arms and Theo take the other. The group then headed down to the dungeons to the Slytherin Common Room. The whole time, Y/n loudly exclaimed whatever was on her mind, with the trio trying to keep her quiet so they weren't caught.
"You guys ever wonder why the Dark Lord has no nose? Like, if I were to be the most powerful wizard to ever exist, then surely, I'd wanna look good. Who wants to be famous for not having a nose?" Y/n shouted.
"Yes, yes, Y/n. Noses are great. Now, can you please be quiet?" Pansy sighed. She knew that Y/n was a lightweight but she didn't know how difficult she would be to handle.
Soon, Y/n fell asleep, the trio letting out a sigh of relief. Out of the corner of Theo and Pansy's eye, they noticed Draco smiling softly at Y/n's sleeping form.
As they entered the room, they noticed that it was completely empty. Everyone was still at the party, allowing the four friends to have the whole room to themselves. Draco and Theo gently put Y/n down on one of the couches, Draco sitting next to her. A few minutes had passed with idle chit chat between the three as Y/n continued to sleep. The night was still young and everyone was not likely to return from the party for a few hours. Eventually, Y/n appeared to stir a bit from her sleep, though she was still very drunk. Pansy elbowed Theo gently in the side and they both excused themselves before exiting the Common Room. In reality, they were hiding in the entrance to the boy's dormitories. Pansy gave Theo a high five as they leaned against the wall to peer into the Common Room.
"Draco...." Y/n murmured, finally starting to wake up.
"Y/n! How are you feeling, do you need anything?" Draco took Y/n's hand and squeezed it gently.
"Draco....I need to tell you something...." Y/n continued muttering.
"Yeah, of course. You can tell me anything, (N/n)."
Pansy excitedly looked over at Theo. "It's finally going to happen!" She whisper-shouted. Theo put a finger over his lips and gestured for her to continue watching.
"Draco....I...I...."
"Come on!" Pansy was ready to scream. Her body was filled with anticipation and she could barely hold it in.
"Draco....I'm really glad that you're my best friend." Y/n smiled sleepily at him.
"Oh come on!" Pansy face palmed. Theo was shaking beside her, trying to hold in his laughter.
"Shut up, it's not that funny!" Pansy swatted Theo's arm.
"Of course it is! You were practically splitting at the seams from excitement only for it not to happen!" Theo held a hand over his mouth, still trying to stay quiet.
Pansy rolled her eyes and went back to watching Draco and Y/n, disappointment settling into her stomach. She was so sure that this would work, that drunken Y/n would be dumb enough to confess to Draco her undying love for him.
"I'm glad that you're my best friend too, Y/n." Draco grinned. "Now, let's get you to your room. You're going to need to sleep off all that alcohol." Draco lifted Y/n up bridal style and carried her off into the direction of her room.
With both of them now out of the room, Theo burst out laughing. He practically fell to the floor from the endless laughter. Pansy watched him with crossed arms, waiting for him to finally finish. As the laughter died down, Theo took a couple of deep breaths before he settled down.
"Got anymore bright ideas?" Theo joked.
"Maybe." Pansy smirked, a new plan already forming in her head.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
5.
Pansy was tired of their plans failing. She took out a small bottle of a love potion out of her bag, seeing Theo raise an eyebrow at it.
"This is your big plan?" He asked, almost unimpressed.
"Well, everything else hasn't worked so far! This is almost a guaranteed way for them to get together." Pansy reasoned, pouring the potion into a glass of orange juice. Due to being hungover from the party last night, Y/n ended up sleeping in past breakfast. Although Pansy couldn't sneak any food out of the Mess Hall, she had managed to grab some juice on her way out. She watched the potion disappear into the orange liquid, smiling to herself. Theo was doubting the plan, but she'd show him. This would work, she told herself.
Of course Theo doubted the plan. He'd heard of far too many stories where love potions only lead to trouble. He looked back to Pansy, seeing her smile at the mixture in her hands. She was so confident, so sure that this would provide the success they needed. He couldn't wait for this to fail so he could have another laughing fit. Not saying that he wanted this to fail, just that it would be hilarious if it went wrong. He chuckled, thinking of various scenarios where it could take a bad turn.
30 minutes later, Pansy found Y/n tiredly walking through the halls to get to class. Luckily for them, the four friends had Charms together in the morning, so it would be easy to give Y/n the potion and watch her reaction.
"Y/n! You doing okay? You were pretty drunk last night." Pansy greeted, "I couldn't get you any food, but I got you some juice so you have some energy."
Pansy handed her the drink, Y/n thanking her. The three then headed to Charms class, with Y/n complaining about how groggy she felt. They arrived and saw that Draco was already there, patiently waiting for his friends. Y/n sat down next to him while Pansy and Theo sat behind them. Y/n took a sip of the juice, not expecting a strangely sweet taste to fill her mouth. It was an unnatural sort of sweet, like someone poured a whole bottle of honey into the drink. She brushed it off though, thinking that it tasted weird because it was the first thing she had consumed that morning.
"It's happening!" Pansy whispered excitedly, as she elbowed Theo's arm.
"Don't get too excited, Parkinson." He reminded her.
It didn't take long before the potion had taken over the (h/c) haired girl. However, to Pansy's confusion, the girl's gaze snapped from her notes to Blaise Zabini. To her horror, Y/n got out of her seat and settled into a new one next to Blaise.
"Oh no...." Pansy cursed to herself.
"Hey Zabini. Have I ever told you how attractive you are?" Y/n asked, giving Blaise a flirty smile. The potion apparently also gave her newfound confidence.
"No, but I would like to hear more about it." Blaise returned her flirty tone as Y/n giggled.
Pansy continued spitting curse words under her breath as she looked over at Draco's heartbroken expression. Theo looked at her with crossed arms and a smug smirk.
"What did I tell you?" He said, sarcastically.
"Shut it. Now you gotta help me convince Draco that she's not in love with Zabini!"
"Fine. Just keep in mind that this was your plan." Theo rolled his eyes.
Pansy and Theo leaned over their desks to Draco, who was still looking at Y/n with sad eyes. Pansy felt horrible and was terrified that she'd driven them apart.
"Hey Draco...." She started, not sure how she should approach the situation. Draco looked up at her, hurt evident in his eyes.
"Cheer up, I'm sure that she doesn't actually like Zabini." Theo reassured. Draco nodded silently before his eyes went back to the (h/c) haired girl clinging onto Blaise's arm. He let out a sigh before turning back to his work, glancing at Y/n every now and then through the corner of his eye.
"Merlin, Theo. We need to get an antidote for this thing and we need it bloody fast." Pansy scowled.
"Well, I could make it but it'll take me the rest of the day."
"Then, you need to get started on it now. I can't watch Y/n cuddling with someone like Zabini any longer without feeling the urge to vomit."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The end of the day was nearly approaching and Pansy was anxious for Theo to be done with the potion. The whole day, Y/n flirted and complimented Blaise, which really didn't help the Slytherin boy's already overinflated ego. Poor Draco was stuck watching his best friend fawn over an arrogant arsehole. Eventually, he was so upset that he retreated to the Common Room, hoping to avoid seeing them together again.
Pansy stood by Blaise and Y/n, cringing every time she heard her friend gush about the large muscles the boy had. Where was Theo? She wasn't sure how much more of this she could take and she could only imagine how Draco felt. Finally, she spotted Theo hurriedly running towards her, holding out the antidote. He quickly handed her the bottle and she turned towards her spelled friend with full intent to end this now.
"Hey Y/n! I dare you to drink whatever is in this bottle!" Pansy taunted.
"What? No! What if it's poison?"
"What are you, chicken?" Blaise challenged as he turned to his new admirer.
Y/n's face turned red as she begrudgingly took the bottle from Pansy's hand. Pansy smiled knowingly, realizing that Y/n was only taking it to impress Blaise. Y/n removed the cork and swallowed the contents, not even hesitating or stopping to breathe. When it was empty, she nearly dropped the glass as a sudden dizziness hit her.
"Guys, I'm feeling a little woozy." Y/n trailed off, the world spinning as her eyes closed and everything turned black.
Y/n awoke to Pansy and Theo calling her name. She opened her eyes and found the two looking at her with worried eyes.
"What happened?" Y/n asked when the memories suddenly flooded her brain. She grimaced at the thought of how she acted, especially when she constantly fed Blaise's massive ego. "Wait, where's Draco?"
"He's in the Common Room. He left after seeing-" Theo started but he didn't need to finish before Y/n felt the immense guilt build up. She hated the idea that Draco thought she liked Blaise. That would never be true in a million years.
"What about me? Why don't you tell me more about how attractive you think I am." Blaise asked, pushing himself between Theo and Pansy, holding out a hand towards her. Speak of the devil. Y/n scowled before shoving his hand away and getting herself up.
"Shove off, Zabini. I'm going to get Draco." She flipped him off as she started quickly making her way to the dungeons with Pansy and Theo behind her.
When they arrived, Theo and Pansy hid in the entrance of the boy's dormitories and Y/n found Draco sitting on one of the couches, staring intently at the fires burning warmly in the fireplace. Her heart twisted at the sight of him and how his usual bright eyes seemed blank. She sat down next to him and waited for him to acknowledge her. Finally, he turned to her with a deep frown.
"Didn't know you liked guys like Blaise Zabini." He said, coldly.
"Dray, I swear that it wasn't me. I was spelled with a potion. Please, you have to believe me. I don't love Zabini, I love-" Y/n cut herself off before she could reveal her big secret. "I don't want you to get the wrong idea. You're my best friend, Dray. I would hate it if you saw me as that type of girl."
Draco gently took her hands in his. "You promise you're not into Zabini?"
"Yes. Merlin, I would take back all those compliments I gave him if I could. He such a pompous arse."
Draco chuckled, making Y/n's heart skip a beat. He wasn't mad at her and he believed her. Her best friend was back and she hoped that she would never come that close to losing him again. She loved Draco too much.
"And for the record, you're my best friend too, (N/n)."
"I know."
Pansy crossed her arms and sighed deeply. She royally messed this one up, didn't she? Theo smiled softly at the girl next to him, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Are we done with your extreme plans now?" He teased.
"I give up. It's your turn to come up with a plan now." Pansy said, dejectedly.
"Oh, I have one." Theo's smile grew wider.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
1.
"Are you ever going to tell Draco about your crush on him?" Pansy asked Y/n as they walked through the halls together.
"Pans, you're not supposed to be talking about this in public."
"I just want to know. You guys are best friends, you're not meant to have secrets."
"That's just it, we're best friends. If I told him, it could ruin our friendship. Or worse, if we fall apart, we could never be as close as we used to be. It's easier for me to just keep these feelings hidden because I don't want to lose him." Y/n sighed.
Pansy's face grew hard as she suddenly took hold of Y/n's arm and began dragging her somewhere.
"What are you—Pansy! Let go of me this instant!" Y/n shouted but Pansy ignored her, leading her to an empty classroom.
"I'm tired of you refusing to tell him about your feelings just because you think that you'll lose him." Pansy growled lowly as she tossed Y/n into the room. "You two are going to talk and I'm not letting you out until you confess."
Pansy closed the door and locked it, causing Y/n to panic. She began to knock furiously on the door, begging Pansy to let her out. "Pans, let me out! This isn't funny!"
"You're trapped here too, eh?" Y/n's pleading was cut short when she turned and saw Draco at the other side of the room.
"Yeah, how did you get here?"
"Theo told me to meet him in this room, then he turned and locked me in here." Draco glared at the door, knowing that Pansy and Theo were probably listening in to their conversation.
Y/n turned back to the door. "Pans, I swear to Merlin, let me out!"
"Did you two confess yet?"
"No!"
"Then you don't come out." Pansy's blunt statement caused Y/n to bang her head against the wooden door.
"We don't even have feelings for each other!" Y/n shouted before she heard some sort of heavy breathing. Confused, she turned back to Draco to see him looking at the ground, his fists clenching and unclenching. She approached the blonde boy, worried about why he was suddenly acting like this.
"Dray, are you....alright?" She asked, cautiously.
"No, I'm not because, Salazar, I love you, Y/n!" He shouted.
Y/n froze in her tracks, unsure of what to say. Her heart was racing and her head was filled with a million thoughts. Draco loved her? After all this time, he loved her and she didn't even know.
"And it hurts to know that you'd only ever think of me as a best friend. Yesterday, when you were with Zabini, it was hell to watch you flirt with him because I was so incredibly jealous. I hated the thought that you liked him, and that you could never see me that way. Then you told me you were spelled and I actually thought I still had a chance. Now, we're trapped in a room together because our stupid friends think that we like each other. Under different circumstances, I would have never told you about these feelings because I was willing to let you be happy with someone else as long as I could still be with you, even as a best friend. I love you, Y/n. I love you so much and I would do anything for you. Though, it's been made clear to me that you don't feel the same." Draco finished his rant, still breathing heavily.
Y/n's brain was still trying to process this new information. Too many thoughts were running through her mind and her mouth refused to move. Those three words were at the tip of her tongue but for some reason, she couldn't say them. Her silence was all the answer Draco needed.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't of have said that. This was stupid. Just forget what I said." Draco averted his gaze to the side, tears starting to form.
That's when Y/n couldn't control herself as she ran up to him and pressed her lips against his. Draco let out a surprised squeak but soon began to kiss her back. Eventually, the two parted and Y/n embraced Draco tightly.
"I love you too, Dray. Merlin, I was afraid to tell you for so long because I didn't want to lose you. I tried to push away my feelings but I never could. I wish that I had confessed sooner. Like I said before, I would never be into guys like Blaise because I love guys like you. I love you, Draco Malfoy. I truly mean it with all of my heart." Y/n whispered.
Unexpectedly, the door to the classroom burst open with Pansy whooping loudly as she walked in. Behind her, Theo smirked at the now couple as Pansy gave him a high five.
"We finally did it! Salazar, that took forever!" Pansy cried.
"Wait....all those other times....you guys were the ones setting us up?" Y/n raised an eyebrow at her friends.
Pansy froze, realizing the potential 'danger' she was in. She slowly nodded as Y/n's face twisted into a scowl. Taking this as her cue to leave, she tugged on Theo's sleeve and the two took off running down the corridor.
"Come back here, you two!!"
**********************************************
Thank you so much for reading! Fun Fact: A friend actually gave me a couple of ideas for this one! She helped edit it for me and she definitely ships Pansy and Theo in this one. (You don't have to ship them, I wrote it so that you could either see them as close friends or maybe growing closer and closer as the fic goes on. Let me know what you think.) I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you again. Until next time.

Obliviate (Draco Malfoy x Reader)
Tumblr media
Hello everybody!!! This was a really popular one-shot from my ao3 account. Personally, I’m not a fan of it but people have been asking me to post it here, so here it is.
Random Fact: This was based on a true story that had happened to one of my friends. She actually asked me to write this so other people could see that they aren't alone in this fight. I was also really hesitant to post this one, though I'm not really sure why....
Prompt: Y/n wants to be seen as perfect by Draco. She pretends she’s happy and even starves herself to be ‘perfect’. In reality, Y/n is suffering. She is tormented in her nightmares and by the scars that line her wrist. She dares not tell Draco because she doesn’t want to be seen as a burden. Every time he notices that she is unhappy, she performs the Obliviate spell on him. What will happen on the day he finds out the truth?
House: You choose
Blood Status: You choose
Warnings: Self Harm (Graphic), Blood, Abusive Parents, Depressive thoughts, Eating Disorder (Starving yourself), Angst?
Note: Angst? In my opinion, this one-shot kinda sucks. The reader in this story is female / uses female pronouns.
Word Count: 3,151 words
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3rd Person POV
“Obliviate.” Y/n whispered, watching the wispy white spell shoot out from her wand and land onto Draco’s temple. The wisps then faded away and disappeared like some sort of apparition. She stepped back and looked up at Draco. His stormy grey eyes were clouded and unfocused due to having the memory charm performed on him. After a few moments had passed, his eyes cleared back up and he looked at her in surprise.
“Y/n? Love, what are we doing here? Last time I checked, we were…” He trailed off. His face scrunched up in confusion. “…I can’t seem to remember.”
Y/n smiled sweetly at him. “We were just about to go to the Astronomy Tower, remember?”
“Uhm…yes? Right! Let’s go to the Astronomy Tower!” Draco said, giving Y/n a light kiss on the cheek. She giggled as he took her by the hand and dragged her off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n knew this was wrong. She knew she shouldn’t be erasing her boyfriend’s memories. This was better for their relationship though. She should be the supportive girlfriend, the shoulder that Draco can cry on. She shouldn’t be the one with issues. She didn’t want to seem like the girlfriend who had tons of problems. She wanted to be perfect. The perfect girlfriend. For Draco.
She stood on the balcony of the Astronomy Tower, marveling at the beautiful sight of the landscape and Hogwarts. She sighed deeply, causing Draco to look over.
“Penny for your thoughts?” He asked.
“Hmm?”
“I know that face. Something is bothering you.”
“If you want to know, its going to take more than a penny to find out.” Y/n joked.
“Y/n, I love you. You know I’d pay any amount to know what’s making you unhappy.” Draco said, gently taking her hands into his. He pressed feather-like kisses against each knuckle.
“Nothing is bothering me. Don’t worry about it.” Y/n reassured.
Draco looked unconvinced but nodded anyway, seeing that she wouldn’t tell him anyway if he said anything else.
“If you say so. Come on, Love, it’s almost time for dinner.” He smiled a little, dragging her by the hand and towards the Mess Hall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n stared at the empty plate before her. She couldn’t bring herself to eat. I’m fat anyway, this will help me. I need to be perfect for Draco. She noticed Draco sneaking glances at her worriedly. Ever since the Astronomy Tower, Y/n could tell that Draco was suspicious of something being wrong.
“I don’t want him to worry about me. He’s got his own problems.” She thought, shaking her head.
“Y/n, can I talk to you?” Draco asked, though his eyes told her that he would not accept ‘no’ for an answer. She sighed and nodded, following Draco out of the Mess Hall and into an empty corridor.
He then turned around and grabbed her shoulders gently. His grey orbs stared sternly into her (e/c) eyes. A serious frown was set on his face and Y/n knew he was upset.
“Y/n…” His voice was laced with concern, “Tell me what’s wrong, please. You’ve been like this since the Astronomy Tower and you haven’t even been bothered to eat anything. Whatever this is, its clearly hindering you from being happy and I want to help. I love you so much, and it hurts me to see you sad. Please…just tell me.”
Y/n sighed and she knew what she had to do. Draco was beginning to worry about her, and that meant she was becoming a burden. She quietly snuck out her wand from her pocket.
“Draco….you know I love you right?” She asked, tears starting to form in her eyes.
“Yes…of course I do. I love you too. So much. More than anything.”
“Then you’ll understand why I have to do this.” Y/n sobbed uncontrollably, she could no longer hold back her tears.
“Wait wha-“
“Obliviate.” Y/n said as she whipped out her wand and casted the memory charm on him. Once again, the jet of faded white light streamed from her wand and landed on Draco. His worried expression fell into a blank one and his eyes went unfocused again. Y/n searched through his memories, finding that he started worrying about her when they went to the Astronomy tower. She then proceeded to wipe that memory and everything that happened after.
When she was done, she stepped back and furiously wiped away her tears. A few moments passed and the charm did its job as Draco’s eyes lit up again and he shook his head lightly in confusion.
“Wha-What happened? I can’t seem to remember anything.” Draco looked at her quizzically.
“Draco, you were about to take us to the Mess Hall when you just froze and didn’t say anything. You really scared me there.” Y/n lied smoothly. Draco seemed to buy the lie because he took her hand lovingly and lead her back into the Mess Hall.
The two sat back down in front of Pansy and Blaise, seeing that their old seats were taken.
“So, where did you two go?” Blaise asked suggestively.
“Draco just wanted a little break from the noise.” Y/n shrugged. Draco wasn’t even paying any attention, he was too busy talking with Vincent and Gregory.
As it should be. He shouldn’t be worried about me, he should be carefree and not have to think about an unhappy girlfriend.
Y/n smiled at the sight but she still didn’t put anything on her plate. Pansy sighed and put some food on Y/n’s plate.
“I swear you’re trying to starve yourself sometimes.” She muttered.
Y/n didn’t say anything and slowly moved to stab the vegetables with her fork, making it seem like she was going to eat. Pansy and Blaise nodded in approval and turned away to listen in on Draco’s conversation, but they didn’t see how Y/n threw the food under the table when they looked away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You stupid girl! How dare you disobey your father?! You know you’re not allowed to talk back!” Y/n’s father screamed, raising his hand.
Y/n cowered in the corner, afraid for her life. All she wanted was to send a letter to Draco…but her father caught her. He angrily reminded her that she wasn’t suppose to be out of bed after curfew. In the heat of the moment, she shouted back at him, immediately regretting it when she saw his enraged expression. She looked at her mother for help but she only saw her mother’s cold eyes staring at her as if saying ‘Don’t look at me, you deserve this.’
“You’re nobody! Nothing! You’re an absolute disappointment to this family! You’ll never be good enough for anyone because you’ll only ever be a burden!” Her father spat.
She screamed as her father’s hand struck her cheek. Pain exploded in her right cheek and tears rushed down her face. She gingerly held her cheek and furiously tried to stop the tears, her father would only be more furious if he saw her crying. He grabbed his belt from his waist and raised it. Y/n screamed again as the belt was whipped at her. She cried for somebody, anybody, to take her away from this hell but, of course, nobody came. This wasn’t some sort of fairy tale where the prince came to save the princess from a horrible situation. No….this was real life. No prince was coming to save her…..Draco couldn’t help her….. The belt was raised again and the buckle came rushing towards her…..
Y/n awoke suddenly, holding in the urge to scream when she noticed she was in her dorm room. She looked beside her and saw Draco sleeping next to her, his arms draped lightly around her and soft snores escaping his mouth. Y/n tried to smile at the sight, but the memory of her dream didn’t allow her to. Her vision blurred as she recalled that belt and her angry parents. She remembered the pain, the abuse and the hurt she had suffered. Even when her father couldn’t reach her physically now, he still haunted her in her dreams. Y/n suddenly found that she couldn’t breathe properly as silent sobs racked her body. Her thoughts became muddled and she couldn’t think straight. All she could see was that belt and her father’s fiery eyes. Y/n couldn’t take it.
The girl looked over at Draco sleeping peacefully. He didn’t seem like he was going to wake up anytime soon. She slipped out from his comforting arms and crept to the bathroom. Y/n slowly closed the door and pulled out her wand.
“Lumos.” She spoke softly as a low light shot out of the tip of her wand. Y/n then looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror.
Most people would have seen a broken and traumatised girl in the reflection. They would see her tear-stained cheeks, her bloodshot eyes, her messy hair that closely resembled a rat’s nest, and her shaking body. Y/n however, looked in the mirror and only saw a disappointment. A useless girl. A waste of space. A burden. Y/n could swear that she saw the faint figure of her father standing behind her, whispering that she was nothing in her ear.
“Shut up…shut up! Shut up! Shut up!!! Shutupshutupshutupshutup!!!" Y/n screamed. She punched the mirror with as much force as she could. The glass shattered and large pieces of the mirror pierced her fist. Y/n was left breathing heavily, surrounded by broken shards of glass. Her fist was bleeding but she didn’t care.
“He’s right though….” Y/n thought. “I have to fix this. I can’t let Draco have a disappointment, a burden, a nobody as his girlfriend.”
She reached down and picked up a rather large and pointed shard of glass. The sharp object glinted wickedly in the low bathroom light. The girl exhaled shakily as she thought over what she was about to do. It had to be done. She needed to get these stupid thoughts out of her head. This was the only way she could relieve herself of the pain. Y/n rolled up her sleeve, revealing thousands of old faded scars lined on her wrists. She lightly placed the shard against her wrist, and softly pushed the sharp object into her skin. Beads of bright red blood sprouted from under the glass but Y/n couldn’t bring herself to care. She felt the depressing thoughts leave her head and fill with bliss. It didn’t last long though, the feeling faded quickly and left her yearning for more of that bliss. She lifted the glass piece again and dug it into her wrist, being careful that she didn’t go too deep. Blood was starting to flow from her wrists like a waterfall and pooling on the bathroom floor. Still, Y/n couldn’t stop this. It was like an addiction to the blissful escape each cut gave her, even if it only lasted for a second.
“Y/N?!?!” She heard a voice scream out in horror.
She turned around slowly, desperately hoping it wasn’t who she thought it was. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on her side as Draco took a step back from the bathroom. His beautiful grey eyes were filled with fear and anguish, his face was much paler than usual and his mouth was opening and closing though no words came out.
Without a second thought, Y/n whipped out her wand. “Stupefy!” She chanted. Draco flew across the room and landed roughly on the bed. Y/n peeked over at Draco, who lay eagle-spread on the bed. He was breathing but he was unconscious. Seeing that he was safe, Y/n noticed the blood that was still dripping from her arms and onto the floor.
“Vulnera Sanentur.” She spoke, pointing her wand at her arm. The wounds immediately started closing and ‘knitting up’, stopping the blood and leaving ugly scars. Y/n then pointed her wand at the blood on the floor, “Scourgify.” The crimson liquid disappeared, leaving the bathroom floor spotless again. Finally, she waved her wand at the shattered mirror, “Reparo.” The pieces of broken glass were lifted off the floor and fit themselves back into the mirror like a puzzle. The cracks between the glass disappeared and the mirror was left looking like it was never broken before. Satisfied, Y/n exited the bathroom to deal with Draco.
She checked Draco for any visible wounds but found none. Tears sprung in her eyes again as she remembered how he got this way.
“Oh Draco…I only want to be perfect for you. As your girlfriend, I should be making it my priority to make you happy. You shouldn’t have to worry about me, you should be concerned only about yourself because I’m the girlfriend that doesn’t have problems. I am the one you can depend on to support you whenever you need it. I shouldn’t need you as a pillar. I refuse to become a burden to you, I’ll prove my father wrong.” Y/n sighed, placing her wand next to Draco’s temple, “Obliviate.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the next few weeks, Draco had been continuously noticing that Y/n was not happy and that something was wrong. However, every time he brought it up, she’d wipe his memory so he would forget he ever saw it.
“Y/n, you’re looking unhealthily skinny. Have you been eating lately?” “Obliviate.”
“Y/n, there are dark bags under your eyes, when was the last time you slept?” “Obliviate.”
“Y/n, your grades are dropping…is there something wrong?” “Obliviate.”
Y/n, however, didn’t count on Pansy and Blaise to notice the change in her. The two noticed how Y/n was constantly tired. They noticed her lifeless eyes. They noticed how skinny she had gotten. They noticed how every time Draco pointed something out, she would take him outside for a few minutes and return with him seemingly forgetting what he had said earlier. The friends were getting suspicious, something wasn’t adding up. So when Y/n was bringing Draco outside after he had remarked that she was looking sad, the two decided to investigate.
They followed the couple out into an empty corridor of the school. They watched as Y/n pulled out her wand and pointed it at Draco.
“Obliviate.” Y/n said.
Pansy’s mouth dropped open in surprise. This is what Y/n was doing?! Wiping his memory?! Blaise was equally shocked but he had no words when Y/n lied to Draco about why they were in the hall. Y/n and Draco turned to go into the Mess Hall and the two quickly hid from their view.
“Zabini. You saw that right?” Pansy asked shakily.
“Of course. Looks like Y/n has been clearing Draco’s memory every time he finds something troubling her.”
“We have to do something. They’re our friends.”
Blaise nodded in agreement and the pair headed back to the Mess Hall, trying to think of a plan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, Y/n arrived at the Mess Hall and sat next to Draco, who was conversing with Blaise. Her boyfriend turned around with a wide smile on his face. He embraced her in a tight hug and his arm accidentally lifted her sleeve a bit but Y/n didn’t notice. His smile faltered a bit when he saw the scars that lined his beautiful girlfriend’s arm. He then understood what Blaise was talking about. Even hugging her now, Draco could feel that her frame was much smaller than before. He released Y/n with a frown.
“Can I talk to you, Y/n?” He asked. She nodded and he led her out to a random hallway. He then turned around and gripped her shoulders. He looked up at her with tears in his eyes.
“Why?” Was the only word he could muster.
Immediately, Y/n knew what he was talking about and was about to pull out her wand when he stopped her.
“Please, Love. Don’t wipe my memory. I love you so much. Just tell me why you did this. Why did you go through so much trouble to stop me from seeing that you are suffering?”
“How…?”
“Pansy and Blaise told me what was going on. Now please, answer the question.”
Y/n lowered her head in shame and felt tears fall down her face. “I…I didn’t want to become a burden. My father always told me I was a burden, especially if I told others about my problems. I never wanted you to worry about me. I wanted to make it seem like I was the girlfriend you could depend on to never crack or fall. I just wanted to offer you the freedom of thinking about yourself and not have to wonder if I was feeling depressed or not. Then, I started thinking I wasn’t good enough for you. I started eating less and less everyday until it became routine to only eat a single apple a day. I’m sorry, Draco. All I ever wanted to be was perfect for you.”
Draco was taken aback. This was how she felt? He gently lifted her chin and wiped away her tears. He then pulled her against him into a warm hug.
“Y/n…you will never be a burden to me. Being in a relationship means we can depend on each other, not just one of us. You can always tell me what’s going on because I love you. You’re not weak or a bother if you tell somebody about your problems, you’re strong for being able to identify them, for being able to fight against them by finding trust in someone close to you. You are brave for reaching out for help. You are not a burden, a burden is something that drags people down, and you will never be that to me. You’re just carrying a burden and as your boyfriend, I will help you. As for your appearance, you don’t need to fix yourself. You’re already perfect to me, I wouldn’t want anything to change. I love you Y/n, you mean the world to me. It pains me to see you hurt and I promise I will be there for you whenever you need it. I just need to believe that you trust me enough to tell me what’s bothering you.”
Draco looked down at the sobbing girl in his arms. No, she could never be a burden. He smiled softly and tilted her face up before collided their lips together into a loving kiss. He wrapped his arms tighter around her waist while Y/n flung her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. There was no lust, only pure, passionate love. Draco wanted to show her that she could also depend on him and that he would always be there for her. Soon enough, the two broke away.
“I’m sorry, Draco. I promise that I’ll go to you if something bothers me. I promise I won’t keep it to myself anymore.”
“I promise to always be there to support you. I love you, Y/n…never forget that.”
“I promise.” Y/n smiled, bringing their lips together again for another kiss.

Note
I read your post "Enough" and I loved it so much! I was wondering if I could get another Slytherin Reader who is with Draco. She has anger issues and sometimes punches walls (hurting herself) because she blames herself harshly whenever she fails or messes up. Maybe, she's a death eater and she accidentally got Draco hurt (not killed) somehow? And he comforts her and tells her to stop blaming herself. Whatever you decide, I'm super excited to read. Thanks again❤️
Not Your Fault (Draco Malfoy x Reader)

Hello, thank you so much to @beautifulbows924 for requesting. This has been sitting in my inbox for so long, it’s about time I got to it! I hope it’s close to what you wanted and I also hope you enjoy!

Blood Status: You choose
Warning: Mentions of torture, blood, self harm, and blaming oneself. Angsty.
Note: Angsty. The reader in this story is female / uses female pronouns.

3rd Person POV
"Draco, you know what we're doing could get us killed, right?" Y/n stated to her blonde-haired boyfriend.
The male nodded silently and urged her to continue moving. The two knew that if they were caught here, they would both be executed by the Dark Lord. Although the very idea of that terrified them, they pushed on. They had to, it was the right thing to do. The once lively corridors of Hogwarts were now dark and deathly silent. The only source of light was the soft blue light emitting from Y/n's wand.
Y/n and Draco hated their current situation. The both of them were Death Eaters, definitely not by choice. They were held at wand point and threatened that if they didn't join then one of them would die. Y/n blamed herself, cursing herself for not being stronger, for not being able to defend herself. She felt personally responsible for making the two of them what they despised most. She hated that now the two of them had the ugly tattoo of the Dark Lord on their arms permanently. This is why she sought to make things right.
Since last summer, she had been sneaking out of the Death Eater headquarters and coming to meet Potter. She would tell the boy of the upcoming attacks and brought the plans for the next week. She knew it was dangerous business, but as long as it could help Harry defeat Voldemort, she could care less. It wasn't until a few months later, that Draco caught her and joined along. He too knew the risks, but he just wanted for this war to be over, and spend the rest of his life with Y/n. They had promised to each other that if one of them had been compromised, that the other must keep silent and continue giving Harry information.
So here they were, creeping around the halls of Hogwarts, trying to get to the Room of Requirement, where Harry was surely waiting for them. The couple quickly scurried up the stairs to the seventh floor, constantly checking over their shoulders to see if they were being followed. They finally stopped walking when they reached the familiar tapestry. On the wall across from the banner, the door to the Room of Requirement appeared. As the door was opened, they spotted Harry, Ron and Hermione standing by a table, talking amongst themselves. The trio turned with hopeful faces when the door swung open as they noticed who entered the room.
Y/n was always grateful for the golden trio. They were some of her closest friends and she could trust them with anything. When she had first told them about her relationship with Draco, they accepted it with a little time and threatened Draco that if he ever broke her heart, they would curse him into next year. They weren't angry when she told them that she had become a Death Eater. They understood what was at risk and knew that she would never support Voldemort. It was at times like this, she was glad she had such great friends.
So far, the Order of the Phoenix have been able to intercept and stop any attacks that the Dark Lord attempted. Voldemort was getting frustrated but he didn't yet suspect any traitors on his own side.
"Y/n, Malfoy." Harry greeted as he pulled her into a hug. "Were you careful that you weren't followed?"
"Yes, everyone else back there still believes that we're in the manor." Y/n nodded.
"Then we better get this over with quickly before they notice." Hermione stated.

Harry studied the girl in front of him. Y/n's eyes definitely had heavier bags underneath, and she was noticeably smaller than he remembered. He knew that she was stressed and blamed herself, though nothing he said could convince her otherwise.
He remembered the first time she had told him of the plan, that she would act as a spy for the Order of the Phoenix from within the Death Eaters. At first, he disapproved of her plan. He didn't want another one of his best friends to die. However, he saw the desperation in her eyes, the desperation to do something right, to dig herself out of the hole of self-hatred she had placed herself in. He reluctantly agreed, giving Y/n what she felt was a sense of redemption, for being weak and powerless against the Death Eaters.
He watched her as she spilled out all the places that the Death Eaters planned to terrorize for the next week. Malfoy stood beside her, often adding some extra details that Y/n would forget. It seemed so long ago that the five of them were sitting at a table during Hogsmeade weekend. Ron would be playing wizard's chess with him, Hermione would be reading a book next to Ron, Y/n and Malfoy would also be seated and enjoying each other's company. Harry would kill just for another moment like that, where they didn't have to worry about a dark lord, where they weren't risking their lives everyday, where they were all together and enjoying life.
Of course, that wish wouldn't be granted until this war was over. He hated it. This war, everyone involved, they were fighting for him. His friends were willing to put their lives on the line for him, for the good side to win.
Y/n finished what she was saying, handing a couple of papers to Hermione. She bade them goodbye, saying to meet back here next week. Malfoy followed close behind, his hand moving closer to Y/n's until he had grabbed it and their fingers interlaced with each other. Harry narrowed his eyes at the sight, he still wasn't exactly the biggest fan of Malfoy, he still thought he was a prat. However, even if he hated to say it, he was grateful that Y/n had Malfoy with her. That she wasn't alone at the Death Eater headquarters.
He admitted that at first, he wasn't exactly the most enthused to hear about her relationship. As he watched their love blossom, Harry noticed the way that Malfoy looked at Y/n. It was always filled with affection and adoration for her, proving to Harry that this relationship was true and it wasn't just Malfoy toying around with her. Harry could see that the two of them were willing to die for the other, which was something that he admired, how deep their affections ran for each other. Slowly, he began to accept Malfoy as some sort of close ally, though never as a friend. Maybe once upon a time, he would have wished for their relationship to end but now, he couldn't find someone better for Y/n.
Take care of her, Malfoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A couple of months had passed. Months of acting as spies for the Order of the Phoenix. It was starting to get harder and harder to sneak out, with Voldemort ordering for there to be more security around the manor. The Dark Lord feared that if the Order had been able to interrupt all of his plans so far, then they would eventually plan to ambush him at the mansion.
Y/n and Draco were laying down on his ridiculously massive bed, Y/n's head rested in Draco's lap as he gently stroked her h/c hair. Suddenly, Narcissa Malfoy opened the door and walked into the room, giving the two teens a grave look.
"What is it, Mother?" Draco asked, trying to mask his fear at his mother's expression.
"Come downstairs. The Dark Lord is hosting a meeting with all of his Death Eaters."
Y/n and Draco exchanged worried looks but got up and followed Narcissa to the dining room. All the Death Eaters were seated around the large table, with two empty spots reserved for Y/n and Draco. Voldemort sat at the furthest end of the table, a terrifying smile on his face.
"Ah, there they are! My favorite young couple!" He grinned evilly.
The two did not reply and opted to silently sit down, trying to ignore the stares from everyone else. Under the table, Draco grasped Y/n's hand and gave her a small, comforting smile. The Dark Lord cleared his throat loudly and got up from his chair.
"So, as all of you know, the Order of the Phoenix has been able to foil all of our plans for the past few months," Voldemort started as he began walking slowly around the table.
"They always appeared to be ready, as though they were expecting us. It has come to my attention that we have a possible traitor in my inner circle." He walked past Y/n and Draco slowly, resting a hand on both their shoulders for a fraction of a second before he continued walking.
"They would have to be someone close to me. Someone sitting right at this very table. Only my most trusted followers may be seated here. They would have heard about my plans and reported it to Potter. So, who is it?"
Nobody moved or said anything. Any movement could lead to the Dark Lord believing you were the traitor. "Anyone? It's better to give yourself up now. No one else has to be hurt."
Still, everyone was as still as a statue. Even Narcissa had a blank look on her face to stop any emotion. "If you won't come out, then I suppose I'll torture it out of you. Each and every one of you." Voldemort sneered.
He pointed a wand at Y/n. "L/n! How about you be the first to feel how painful a 'Crucio' curse can be." He scowled.
"No wait!" Draco shouted while standing up, drawing Voldemort's attention from Y/n. "It's me! I'm the traitor! Torture me, not her!"
"No, my Dark Lord! It is me! Please, I beg you, don't hurt Draco!" Y/n cried out, also getting out of her seat.
"Don't listen to her! She had nothing to do with it! She's just trying to protect me."
Voldemort smirked at the two. He fiddled with his wand with his long fingers. His face was twisted with cruel smile and he chuckled a little.
"Ah, young love. You two would truly sacrifice yourself for each other. It's pathetic. Love is weak, darling. You'll learn that nothing good comes out of it. Take this, for example. Love is forcing you to suffer through pain, and for what? Just so your partner can live? How utterly ridiculous." Voldemort laughed. "Now, Malfoy, you're claiming that you are the true traitor and she's lying to protecting you?"
Draco nodded, though Y/n was sobbing and squeezing his hand tightly, begging him to just let her take the blame.
"Very well. You shall be taken in and executed for your betrayal to me." The Dark Lord walked over to Y/n and held her chin tightly between his index finger and his thumb. "Look here, my dear. Look at what love does to you. You plan to die for a person that will most likely forget you in 30 years. What is the point? The answer is nothing. After your lover here is gone, I hope you'll change your mind about something as useless as love."
He let go of her chin and adjusted his cloak. Two Death Eaters got up and casted a spell on Draco so he had heavy chains bound tightly against his wrists. Y/n couldn't move in fear of what the Dark Lord would do to her. She could hear Narcissa also crying out. Lucius stayed silent with a poker-face. Y/n couldn't even tell if he cared if his son was going to be executed.
"Wait, my Lord!" Narcissa shouted, her hand outstretched. Voldemort turned, seemingly amused at the pain in her voice. "My Lord, please. Lucius and I have been such loyal followers to you. I'm begging you to spare my son. Perhaps we could simply lock him away or prevent him from being able to hear us."
Voldemort seemed to consider this for a moment. He then nodded towards Narcissa, who's rigid posture relaxed slightly. "Very well. You are correct that the two of you have been some of my closest followers. It's a shame that your son couldn't do the same. The boy will be spared, however he will be tortured as punishment for what he's done. Then, he will never be able to attend any other meetings to prevent future plans from being spread."
He leaned closer to Draco, who had changed his expression to a blank one, similar to his father's. "When I'm done with you, you'll have wished that I had killed you instead."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n paced around in Draco's room. Her head was spinning and she felt sick. From somewhere deep in the manor, she could hear Draco's bloodcurdling screams. Her hands were balled up tightly into fists, digging her nails into her palm. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she faced the nearest wall and punched it with as much force as she could. The wall cracked but she could care less. This was her fault. She should have told Harry to leave some of the plans alone to evade suspicion. This was her idea. She was caught and failed but Draco ended up paying the price for it. She punched the wall again, ignoring the pain that shot up her arm. It was probably nothing compared to what Draco was going through.
Again and again, she relentlessly attacked the wall. Again and again, she pictured Draco's poor face and listened to his screams that would surely haunt her nightmares. Her tears streamed down her face and they showed no sign of stopping anytime soon. Why did Draco love her? He didn't deserve to suffer the consequences of her actions. She should be down there. She should be the one that Voldemort was torturing. It should be her that was screaming, not her lovely boyfriend. Her fists were bleeding but she brushed it aside and continued her assault on the wall, screaming like a banshee.
By the time she was done, there was a decent hole in the wall and her fists were dripping blood. Did she care? No, not when her boyfriend was still downstairs and suffering. Any pain she was going through right now, Draco was feeling it ten times stronger. She leaned her head against the wall, sinking down slowly to the floor. She took her head into her bloody, shaky hands. The salty tears began to drip into her cuts, causing them to sting. She felt pathetically weak, wanting nothing more than for the floor to swallow her whole. She wasn't sure when or how, but she soon felt her eyes grow heavy and darkness surround her as sleep overtook her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She woke up to the door opening. It was clear that the person was trying to be quiet, as they closed the door quietly behind them. Y/n was drowsy and wasn't sure what time it was. Outside, it was dark and moonlight spilled into the room through the open windows, barely lighting the room. How long did she spend on the floor? Her neck ached and her hands had dried blood all over them. She continued to watch the intruder, seeing them limping in her direction. At first, she didn't recognize them and her heart lurched thinking that it was a Death Eater coming to drag her downstairs. She tried to get up but as soon as she moved her head, the world spun wildly and she stumbled. Y/n looked back to the intruder but stopped as she saw the familiar blonde hair in the moonlight.
Immediately, she stopped and waited for Draco. He limped closer to her, his face contorting in pain with every step. He sat next to her on the floor slowly before rummaging through his pocket and pulling out a first-aid kit. He gently took her hands, seeing the blood, and taking out rolls of bandages from the kit.
"Draco..." Y/n tried to speak but Draco stopped her as he started to wrap her hands.
"I heard you screaming from downstairs. Clearly, I wasn't the only one who was tortured tonight." His face was the only thing she could see as the darkness hid the rest of his body. She could see his dark and tired eyes, his split lip and the various cuts that were scattered all over his skin. She immediately felt bad. Here was Draco, dressing her wounds before he could tend to his own, which were surely worse than hers.
"Draco, I'm fine. You're the one who needs medical help." She allowed him to finish wrapping her knuckles before she turned to him, with the kit between them.
"I'm fine." Draco brushed her aside.
"That's hogwash."
He reluctantly allowed her to help him undress, revealing all the bruises that littered his body. There was a large gash on his chest in the shape of a V. Y/n gasped and her guilt only grew. It was her fault that he was like this. If she had just been more careful, if she hadn't let him help her, if she hadn't-
"Y/n." Draco's soft voice interrupted her racing thoughts. She looked up at him with regret in her eyes.
"Don't you dare blame yourself for this. I know that face, I know you're thinking of all the things you could've done to avoid this. However, the truth is, nothing could have escaped this. I was tortured and I would do it again and again if it meant keeping you safe from that Dark Lord bastard." He pressed a kiss to her bandaged hands, "Don't hurt yourself over things you can't control. We both knew what we were getting into. I love you so much and I would never regret giving myself up for you."
He looked so sincere that Y/n felt tears running down her cheeks again. Draco wiped away her tears before kissing her lips softly.
"I love you too." She whispered back before she pulled away and began bandaging his wounds. "Draco, how are we going to help Harry? Now Voldemort has locked us in this damned manor and there's no way to leave. I don't know any way to help him anymore."
"You've already done as much as you could. Trust me, you've more than redeemed yourself. Now, the rest is up to Potter." His warm eyes bore into hers as she finished wrapping, pulling her close to him and laying her head in his lap.
Y/n closed her eyes as Draco soothingly raked his fingers gently through her hair. He was right, she had done all that she could at this point. Now the two of them had to hope it was enough for Harry to defeat Voldemort.
I want to applaud @sporadictraveltelevisiontoad for being able to find the secret message in the poem in Part 6.
Tumblr media
Another applaud to @chicagogirl2019 for having the 'thought'. It was really close and I applaud you for having suspicions.
Tumblr media
When I read your messages, you have no idea how much I wanted to reply to you and tell you the truth. Kudos to the two of you!
A lot of people have asked me what were all the hints sprinkled within the chapters so here's a list:
Part 1: “Ms. Malfoy, hmm?” He hummed in amusement. She could practically feel the cockiness oozing from his words. (Subtle hint, but there was some teasing in it.)
Part 5: The poem (I already revealed the hint in that)
Part 6: “You would choose me over your friends?” He asked, surprised. (Draco is shocked that Y/n would fend off her friends for him. Not only a sign that she is falling for him, but also a hint that he didn't think she truly loved him in the beginning. The love potion wouldn't of have made him question this)
Part 6: Draco gave Y/n a small smile, though something flashed in his eyes as he did so. Something so small that not even Y/n noticed. (The flash is a realization that she is falling for him)
Part 6: The Slytherin boy looked nervous for once. He bit his lip and avoided eye contact with her. How strange. (This is the first time that Draco has asked her out with knowledge that she doesn't have to pretend she has affections for him, as stated by Harry. He's nervous because he realizes she could actually reject him if she wanted to. He's also fallen in love with her and realizing that she is possibly in love with him, he feels nervous because now he's actually asking her out with his real feelings and not because he's playing around)
Part 6: “You look stunning, Love.” He complimented, looking down to see the necklace she was wearing. “You actually wore it….” / “Of course, why wouldn’t I?” Y/n asked confused. / “It’s just….” Draco trailed off. “Never mind. Let’s just go eat something.” He grabbed her hand gently and brought her further into the party. (Draco sees that Y/n actually values his gifts. He wasn't expecting for her to actually wear it because it's a gift from her 'enemy', why would she?)
Part 6: “I love you, Y/n. I love every single fibre of you. I just…..” He paused, “…I just wonder if you feel the same.” (Once again, he's questioning if she loves him back. The love potion wouldn't make him question that at all, he'd just be totally into her no matter if she returned his feelings or not)
Part 7: "You don't mind that this wasn't expensive or somewhere more fancy?" He asked worriedly. (Draco is afraid that Y/n may only love him for his money, so this was a date to test for that)
And that was all of the hints that I remember. There may still be more that I've forgotten or some that I may have accidentally wrote. I hope the hints weren't stupid or anything 😅 If you find any others, let me know. I just need to once again express my gratitude to the people who spend their time actively reading my stories. It really makes my day to think that people could actually enjoy my writing, let alone a fanfiction. I know I'm not the best writer but I like to think I'm improving bit by bit. I have a habit of rushing endings but I'm slowly trying to fix that. I spend a lot of time on these stories and Love Potion was definitely a series I really thought about and tried to carefully write. I really did enjoy writing this series and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Thank you and until next time.
Final Day
3rd Person POV
Y/n was happily walking down the halls, humming a soft tune to herself. She was feeling especially giddy to see Draco, considering last night's events. The sensation of his lips on hers still lingered, giving her butterflies. Suddenly, she nearly walked into somebody, stopping herself just in time before she slammed into their chest. She looked up, hoping it was Draco, but was instead greeted by the two mischievous Weasley twins.
"Hey, Y/n." The two chirped, "You're looking quite cheerful this morning."
"Of course I am." Y/n answered, raising an eyebrow at their almost sinister grins.
"Alright, alright. I suppose you've waited long enough for this. Here, you deserve it." Fred handed her a small glass bottle.
"What is it?" Y/n asked, inspecting it curiously.
"It's the anti-love potion of course!" George said smugly.
Y/n's heart almost stopped. The world around her suddenly felt too confining, it was practically suffocating her. The walls seemed to be shrinking, threatening to crush her. She gasped, staring at the bottle in her hand. The pink liquid inside glowed menacingly, almost as if it was laughing at her.
"Y/n! Hey, Y/n! Are you okay?" George waved a hand in front of her. She snapped out of her trance and quickly looked around. The large walls of the corridor were back to their normal size and showed no signs of changing. The bottle in her hand wasn't glowing anymore and the twins in front of her were giving her concerned looks.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." Y/n waved them off. "Thanks for the potion, guys." She immediately turned away and began walking away, leaving the two twins staring at each other in confusion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had the seventh day really come that quickly? The past few days felt like a blur, she wasn't ready to end this. They only finally admitted their feelings to each other, and now she had to lose him. The Draco that she had grown to love was going to disappear and she would never see him again. If she decided to avoid giving him the potion, not only would she be in love with a lie but it would also raise questions from others.
Speaking of Draco, she noticed him waiting for her at the end of the hallway. Slowly, she approached him, trying not trip over her own feet. He grinned at her, walking up to her and wrapping his arms tightly around her body. Y/n cautiously returned the hug, as if he were made of glass. Draco noticed how loose the hug was, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Is there something wrong, Love?" Draco asked.
Oh, how her heart ached knowing this would be the last time he would call her that nickname. She opened her mouth, her hand moving to her pocket, grazing the outline of the potion to give to him. However, she then looked up into his eyes. Those damned grey eyes that were filled with concern and she found that she couldn't bring herself to grab the bottle. Her hand curled into a tight fist in her pocket as she cursed softly to herself.
"Nothing's wrong." She beamed at him.
Draco seemed unconvinced but nodded anyway, linking his arm with hers. He pulled her along excitedly, taking her up to the seventh-floor corridor and then up to a tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet.
"Draco, what is this?" Y/n asked, trying not to laugh at the banner in front of them.
"Watch, princess." He smiled warmly, letting go of her hand. He began walking back forth in front of the blank wall next to the tapestry. As he turned around for a third time, a door suddenly appeared on the wall. Y/n's eyes widened as Draco opened the door and gestured for her to go inside.
"Ladies first." He joked.
"Then I suppose you should go first, right?" Y/n retorted.
"Just another reason I love you; your wit. Always able to answer with a comeback on the spot." Draco chuckled, "Just go through the damn door."
Y/n laughed and walked through. The sight on the other side of the door left her speechless.
At the back end of the room, there was a grand fireplace against the wall. A warm fire was blazing wildly, much like the one in the Gryffindor common room when she came to visit her friends. There wasn't much else in the room except a large knit rug on the floor and a sofa in front of the fireplace. The fire was the only source of light in the room, which gave the room a sense of comfort. She looked to Draco, who was already looking at her with a smile.
"I didn't want to do anything too extravagant. So I went for simplicity." He explained.
He led her into the room and they sat down on in front of the fire. Without thinking, Y/n rested her head on Draco's shoulder, staring into the flames. The boy next to her pulled her into him, wrapping his arms around her gently.
"You don't mind that this wasn't expensive or somewhere more fancy?" He asked worriedly.
Y/n shook her head, leaning more into him; "As long as I'm with you, I don't care."
Draco lightly gripped her chin and tilted it up so she looked into those beautiful grey eyes. He smiled again at her before connecting their lips in a sweet kiss.
Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck, not wanting this moment to ever end. Screw Fred and George, screw the dare, screw the potion, the only thing that mattered to her right now was being here with the boy she was in love with. The two ended the kiss and Y/n snuggled against Draco's warm body. She could hear his heart rhythmically beat in chest and realized that her heart was beating in unison with his. She just wanted to stay like this, with him. But she could feel the outline of the potion in her pocket, a constant reminder that this had to end, no matter how much she wished it wouldn't. Yet, she still couldn't bring herself to give it to him now.
I'll give it to him later.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many hours and 'laters' had passed and Y/n still could not bring herself to give Draco the damn potion. She leaned against the sink in the girl's first floor bathroom, avoiding the second floor so Moaning Myrtle wouldn't see her. Tears flowed down her cheeks, as she sobbed to herself quietly. Sooner or later, she had to do it. There was no more delaying it. Though it tortured her heart, Draco didn't deserve to be taken advantage of. If she truly loved him, she knew that she had to let him go.
Sniffling and drying her tears, she made herself a little more presentable before she left. She had to find Draco and do the right thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't until dinnertime that Y/n found Draco. She was seated next to him, dreading what was going to happen next. Seeing him turned away from his goblet, she quickly snatched it. Her hands shakily grabbed the potion from her pocket as she twisted open the cork. She took a deep breath, settling her nerves as she poured the potion into his drink. She placed it back on the table, trying her best not to break down. Draco turned around, glancing at her with worried eyes.
"What's wrong, Love?"
There it was again. That damned pet name. Her lip trembled but she refused to show Draco how upset she was. In a few moments, he wouldn't care anyway. In fact, he'd probably taunt her for how she was feeling. She forced a smile, putting her hand over his.
"I'm just so happy that I can call you my boyfriend." Y/n said, willing her voice not to crack near the end.
Draco grinned softly, pulling her into a hug. "I love you so much. I can't believe that I can call you mine, even after all these years..."
The words were like a knife to Y/n's chest. He let go of her before grabbing his goblet. Y/n held her breath, before realizing that it was probably best if she left before he came to his senses. She whispered to Draco that she needed to go to the bathroom and got up. As she was exiting the Mess Hall, she could feel the tears running down her cheeks.
Don't look back. Don't look back. Don't look back. Her mind begged her. Y/n couldn't help it, she wanted just one last glimpse of the boy she loved before he disappeared forever. She turned and caught Draco's eye. He was in the middle of drinking his pumpkin juice before he noticed the tears rolling down his cheeks. He placed the goblet down quickly, standing up suddenly. Y/n, noticing she had been seen, turned around and began sprinting away from him. She didn't want to hear his teasing or his mean insults when she was so used to hearing his compliments. Her heart was already torn to shreds and she wouldn't be able to handle the reality that the boy she loved was gone.
She didn't know where she was going nor did she care, she just ran away. Eventually, she found herself at the top of the Astronomy Tower. She had ran to the only place that would provide her any source of comfort. She looked around at the familiar walls of the tower, feeling her heart ache as she reminisced about every time that Draco would bring her here. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice Draco sneaking up behind her and taking her hand in his, ensuring that she could not run away from him.
Y/n snapped out of her thoughts and she was met with those stupidly beautiful grey eyes again. They were full of worry, love and pain and she felt as though she were drowning in them.
"Y/n, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Draco asked, worriedly.
Y/n was about to reply before she realized something.
"Wait a moment. Aren't you suppose to be hating me right now?" She asked.
Draco gave her a little smile before replying; "I guess your anti-love potion didn't work."
"You knew?!" Y/n shrieked in surprise.
"That you slipped a potion into my drink because of a dare? Yeah, I knew."
"When??"
"Since the very beginning." He replied calmly. He pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket. As Y/n squinted, she noticed it was the poem he wrote during their date. He held it out for her to see, hovering his wand over it. He muttered a spell and some of the letters began to cross themselves out while some turned green.
(Y/n), we haven't been together for long,
Yet, I feel obligated to write you a song.
To confess the deep affections I hold for you,
And I hope you feel the same way too.
This may seem quick, yet I know you are the one.
You may scoff at me, but my heart cannot be stolen by just anyone.
My feelings for you have changed so much,
Switched with a simple touch.
This love you have given me is a drug,
Intoxicating, addicting and given by hugs.
I assure you that my love for you is not fake,
No, there has been no mistake.
A goblet of pumpkin juice,
Raised to you in truce.
You return the gesture, as if it was planned,
A cup of (f/d) in your hand.
I love everything about you,
I could not say anything more true.
I love how clever you are or how beautiful you always look,
Merlin, if I could write it all down, I'd write a bloody book.
Know that this is no joke.
Your love envelops me like an invisibility cloak.
We've stitched our love together with needles and red thread,
It's about time we've set aside our differences and learned to accept them instead.
The world has given me such an amazing girlfriend.
I never want our time together to end.
Love is often called weak, useless, something you should not feel.
You have shown me the hidden strength that love has concealed.
Potions class was where our love first began,
If I were to leave it now, I'd be a mad man.
I wrote this poem for you, filled with endless rhyme,
To show that I love you, (Y/n), until the end of time.
Y/n felt like a fool. All this time she had been played with by Draco Malfoy. She wished the floor could swallow her whole so she could escape this embarrassing situation. She hung her head in shame, feeling her cheeks turn red.
"So....all this time...you were just faking it?" She asked, her voice cracking.
Draco lifted her chin so she looked back into his eyes. Instead of them being cold like she had expected, they were warm and full of affection.
"Who said anything about faking?" He said softly.
He pulled her into a hug, letting her cry into his shoulder. "I love you, Y/n. I'm sorry about the past and how nasty I was to you. I've truly changed and I am deeply in love with you."
Y/n sniffled but didn't reply. Her head was spinning as she was still trying to process everything. This whole time, he knew and he was....in love with her?
Draco released her, fumbling through his pockets before he took out another piece of paper. He looked back at her with a smile.
"I have one last thing for you." He said as he straightened out the paper and read what he had written.
Our love began with hatred.
We hated each other right at first sight.
Constantly bickering and starting fights.
Hatred, such a powerful emotion,
Until you spelled me with a love potion.
Our first date was at Hogsmeade,
Where I gave you my coat to keep you warm.
Perhaps, it was then where my hate began to transform.
At the end, I gifted you a (f/c) quill,
Which gave you quite a thrill.
Our second date was at the Astronomy Tower,
I had a surprise waiting for you, excitedly dragging you higher and higher up the stairs.
Quickly going up, with no time to spare.
I had prepared a picnic for us, with a wonderful view.
While you enjoyed the sunset, I couldn't take my eyes off you.
It was there that I had gifted you with a necklace made of silver.
It shined like a sparkling river.
Then, I had to save you from a jealous Parkinson, who bound you in ropes and stole the gift.
Which had the both of us quite miffed.
Our third date consisted of a study date.
You had an upcoming Potions test,
Which gave you quite a lot of stress.
Together, we reviewed everything,
From Unicorn Blood to Billywig Sting.
The next day, you wrote your test and came out with an Outstanding, just as I had proudly claimed.
Your smile that day was something that simply couldn't be contained.
Our fourth date was not exactly a date, nor was it a very fun day.
You had come to watch my Quidditch game, after I had practically begged you over and over again.
Though, that plan went down the drain.
You were pushed off the stands by that jealous twat.
Falling closer and closer to the ground like a graceful acrobat.
Everything stopped, and I didn't care if you hated me.
I saved you and managed to get you to safety.
Our fifth date was at the Black Lake.
I had you brought you there in hopes of simply spending the day with you.
There wasn't anything else I wanted to do.
The date was cut short when Parkinson showed up,
Trying to get us to breakup.
Though, we quickly managed to get our revenge on her.
Watching you, I felt something in me begin to stir.
Our date ended with you falling asleep in my lap.
The sixth date was at Zabini's party.
I had asked you for a dance, which you had accepted,
Which was quite unexpected.
We swayed to the music and danced all night long,
To a romantic love song.
That night was the first time I had ever kissed your lips, something I had secretly wanted to do for a long time.
And I knew then, that I wanted to be with you for a lifetime.
Our seventh date is this one.
The one where I finally revealed to you that I had known all along.
I can't hold it back anymore, it felt wrong.
The one where I finally confess my hidden feelings for you.
Where I hope you feel them too.
What I'm trying to say is that I love you,
This love overwhelms me until I don't know what to do.
Nothing was faked, that I promise.
I swear that I'm being honest.
Everything had been real; my feelings, how much I cared.
Surely, you can remember all those good times we shared.
I hope that everything has been real from you; how you blushed around me,
The smiles you give me that were so lovely,
How you loved my gifts, how you defended me from Potter,
This sounds like a love story written by an unknown author.
I have always claimed that I loved you.
This was always true,
Y/n, what about you?
Now, I must ask you the same question but with more courage than ever,
Will you be my girlfriend, for now and forever?
He finally looked up from his paper to see her shaking with tears still running down her cheeks. He truly loved her and he was asking her out for real, this wasn't a dare anymore. She didn't consider them enemies anymore, she had forgiven him so long ago.
"What do you say, Love?" Draco asked with a hopeful expression.
Screw it. To hell with it all. She had fallen for her enemy and now she could say she was absolutely, madly in love with him. Nothing else mattered as she uttered her answer.
"Yes." Y/n said, feeling all the tension leave her body as Draco came closer to her. He lifted her chin and connected their lips in a passionate kiss. There was so much love shared between the two. When the two broke apart, Draco held her tightly in his arms.
"I love you, Y/n." Draco whispered.
"I love you too, Draco."
**********************************************
And with that, the Love Potion series is finally complete! I didn't realize it but this series took me a year to write. I'm incredibly sorry to have made everyone wait so long for each part. I also want to explain that Love Potion was always meant to be super cheesy and fluffy. It wasn't suppose to be really angsty, it was just going to have some light angst. This is the reason I chose not to write an ending that would leave everyone feeling sad. I know the story is rushed, but the plot was only suppose to be a week. I hope this story didn't feel too rushed. I also may have rushed the ending but I really wanted to get this out, as I had realized that I made everyone wait long enough. Thank you to everyone for reading this series and enjoying it! Thank you for sticking with this story until the very end! Now, I can get on with the requests piling up in my inbox! If you have any requests, feel free to message me or leave it in my inbox. Until next time.

Hi there! I'm sorry for the long wait, especially for those that have waited since the very beginning. I'm still working on Part 7, but I am super excited for when I can post it. It's nearly done and with (most of our) quarantine situation, I have more time to write. Hopefully, I can get it done soon and you can bet that I'm back to a regular writing schedule.

3rd Person POV
Day 6
Y/n woke up on her soft dorm mattress. She looked around in confusion before her eyes settled on the note placed beside her pillow. Raising her eyebrows, she picked the note up and read what was written.
‘Good morning, Love. I hope you had a wonderful sleep. I took the liberty of carrying you back to your room after you had fallen asleep. I hope you don’t mind. I’ll see you later today!’
-D.M. ♡
That’s right. She had fallen asleep on Draco’s lap yesterday. Her cheeks heated up at the memory, still wondering why she didn’t push him away. Her feelings were so mixed for Draco, it was just so confusing. She shook away her thoughts and got ready for classes, trying to ignore how quickly her heart was beating.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hours later, Y/n walked out of her Transfiguration class, completely ready to eat lunch. McGonagall was still just as strict as ever, pushing her students to their limits with tons of homework and a low tolerance for horseplay. After such a tough class, Y/n was starved. She practically dashed through the halls, almost drooling from the scent of (favorite food) wafting from the Mess Hall.
As she rounded one of the corners, Y/n heard some shouting coming from the next hall. At first she ignored it, thinking it was some stupid first-years. That is, until she realized that she recognized one of the voices.
“Get your filthy hands away from me, Potter!” That oh-so familiar voice barked. Of course, she knew that voice. She had become quite acquainted to the owner of that snarky voice.
Curious, Y/n peered into the hall from behind the wall, gasping at the scene in front of her. Draco was cornered at the wall with Harry and Ron pointing their wands threateningly at him. Draco’s wand lay discarded far away from him, proof that Harry had most likely disarmed him. Before she could stop herself, she threw herself between her friends and Draco.
“What the hell is going on here?” Y/n shouted.
“He levitated a first-year into a tree! That’s what’s going on! So, we’re simply trying to teach Malfoy a little lesson.” Harry glared at Draco.
“Poor bloke was crying and begging to be put down. However, this prat,” Ron said, pointing at the blonde, “Only smiled and left him up there.”
Her two friends continued, trying to secretly poke their wands around her. Y/n rolled her eyes at their pathetic attempts and shoved the two boys back. Taking a couple of steps back from the force, Harry and Ron looked at her with disbelief in their eyes.
“Honestly, just leave him alone!”
“Y/n, why the hell are you defending him?!” Harry accused, “He’s nothing but a bully!”
Y/n stopped, considering Harry’s words. Why was she protecting him? Any other time and she probably would have hexed Draco’s arse as well. It’s not exactly like he was in the right either. What was so different this time? She just instinctively stepped in front of him without a second thought.
“Because he’s my boyfriend and he’s actually really caring, despite what you may think!” Words flew out of Y/n’s mouth before she could stop them. Somehow, they just felt right to say. Like an instinct.
Ron’s eyes looked as if they were going to pop out of his head while Harry searched Y/n’s eyes, trying to find some sort of hidden meaning in what she was saying. His eyes softened slightly, seeing that Y/n was shaking.
“You know, Y/n, just because he’s your boyfriend, it doesn’t mean that you have to feel obligated to protect him all the time.” Harry said, putting emphasis on the word 'boyfriend’. Clearly, Harry still remembered that she was Draco’s girlfriend in the first place because of a dare. A dare that was coming to an end very soon.
Y/n rolled her eyes at Harry. “I like to think of it as more of a sign of good faithfulness. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I were to abandon my boyfriend to the mercy of his two enemies?”
“But Y/n! You-” Ron began.
“Just shut your damn trap and leave, will you?” Y/n said, exasperated at her friends. “Just accept that as long as I am his girlfriend, I’m going to protect him to the best of my abilities. It’s what a good girlfriend would do.”
“Even when he’s wrong?” Harry raised an eyebrow.
“I would support him through thick and thin.”
Harry’s face quickly turned to one of disappointment as he tugged at Ron’s sleeve.
“Let’s just get out of here, Ron.”
Ron was about to protest before he saw Harry’s face. He then sighed and turned to follow Harry out of the corridor.
Y/n turned back to Draco, who put his hand on her shoulder. She turned to see absolute awe in his eyes.
“You would choose me over your friends?” He asked, surprised.
Y/n nodded, her cheeks starting to turn red. “You protect me all the time, a good girlfriend should only be able to return the favor.”
Draco began to smirk before Y/n elbowed his side. He gasped out in pain, holding his ribs.
“What was that for?”
“Just because I’ll protect you, doesn’t mean that you’re in the right.” Y/n rolled her eyes, “You know better than to stick a first-year into a tree.”
Draco gave Y/n a small smile, though something flashed in his eyes as he did so. Something so small that not even Y/n noticed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey Love, I have a question for you.” Draco asked Y/n as they walked together in the halls after lunch.
Y/n turned to him with a questioning look on her face. The Slytherin boy looked nervous for once. He bit his lip and avoided eye contact with her. How strange.
“There’s going to be a party in the Slytherin Common Room tonight. Zabini told all of the Slytherins to come with a guest and I was hoping that you’d be mine.” Draco said, scratching the back of his neck. He still didn’t look at her and he was licking his lips nervously.
Ignoring Draco’s odd behavior, Y/n focused on what he said. A party was exactly what got her into this situation in the first place, along with a wild game of truth or dare. Then again, how many more opportunities would she have to attend a secret party in Hogwarts? Not many. She may as well enjoy everything she can in Hogwarts, seeing as she would eventually leave the school.
“I would love to go with you!” Y/n smiled at the boy. Draco’s face split into a beaming smile as his nervous posture relaxed.
“Oh, thank Merlin. The party’s at 7, I’ll see you then.” Draco pressed a kiss to her cheek before walking off, practically emitting an aura of happiness.
Y/n placed a hand against her cheek, feeling as though Draco’s warm lips were still on it. She sighed happily, not bothered by anything happening around her. She definitely couldn’t deny that one of the other reasons she wanted to go to that party was to spend more time with Draco. There was just something about him. It was as if she were seeing him in a different light. Her heart was fluttering like a wild bird in her chest. She began to walk to her next class, a slight bounce in every step. She simply couldn’t wait for tonight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n stood in front of the tall mirror in her dorm room. Her eyebrows were furrowed as she still couldn’t find the perfect dress for the party. She sighed and took off the dress she was wearing, going back to her wardrobe to look for another.
She roughly pushed through the coat hangers, frustrated at herself for taking so long to find a dress. Usually, she wouldn’t bother taking so long. She’d simply change into a random one and go. Groaning loudly, she hit her head against the hard wood of her wardrobe door. From the corner of her eye, she spotted a flash of (f/c). Y/n raised her eyebrows and pushed all the other gowns aside to reveal a gorgeous (f/c) dress. Y/n smiled as she remembered the first time she got it.
“Y/n!” Her mother called. The small girl entered the bedroom shortly afterwards, wondering what her mother wanted. She stared curiously at the woman, who had her back turned to her daughter. Her mom suddenly turned around, holding an elegant (f/c) dress. Y/n’s jaw dropped at how amazing it looked.
“Look at what I found, darling.” Her mother grinned.
“Wow, it’s gorgeous!”
“You know, Y/n. I wore this dress when I went on my first date with your father. It was at a time that whenever I was around him, I felt this feeling in my chest. At first, I didn’t understand it. However, when I wore this and danced around with him in the streets, I realized what it was.”
“What was it?” Young Y/n asked with a sparkle in her eyes. The way her mother was describing the scene seemed almost fairy-tale-like to her.
Her mother hummed a soft tune. “You’ll know when you’re older, darling. All I can say is that it will feel….right.” Her mother suddenly extended the dress towards Y/n.
Y/n raised an eyebrow at the gesture. “What are you doing, mum?”
“Giving you this dress.” She answered bluntly.
Y/n let out a gasp of surprise as she pushed her mother’s arms back. “I can’t take this. It’s so important and holds so much meaning. What if something happens to it because of me?”
Her mother gave her a pointed look. “This dress was there when I first went out with the love of my life. It has witnessed many tears and fights, but it has also seen the magic of love. It has been there for me and now it will be there when you first meet the one who will bring you eternal happiness. I want you to wear this when you find them and when you do, know that your parent’s love is there with you.”
“But, how will I know if they are 'the one’?”
“You’ll know.” Her mother smiled knowingly.
The small girl gingerly took the dress from her mother, feeling honored that she was being given something of so much value. She walked to the nearest mirror and placed the dress in front of her body, imagining what she would look like in it. Of course, being so small, the dress practically pooled on the floor and the bodice was definitely made for a larger body. Nonetheless, she beamed at her reflection while her mother tilted her head and flashed her a soft smile behind her.
The memory faded as Y/n found herself in front of the mirror, the dress pressed against her body. Something stirred in her gut, a warm feeling filling her body. Something inside of her unconsciously screamed at her to put it on, that this was 'the magic moment’. She continued to look into the mirror, contemplating it. The dress looked like it would fit perfectly now, compared to all those years ago. It was perfect. Finally opting to wear it, she thanked her mother inside her head for convincing her to take the dress with her and changed right into it.
Y/n looked back to the mirror, excited to see how she looked. She cracked a smile and quickly spun around, admiring how the dress billowed and twirled. Yet, something was still missing. Something glinted silver in her peripheral vision. She turned her head and noticed the dragon necklace that Draco had gotten her. She had avoided wearing it every since the day that Pansy had taken it because every time she put it on, she got the same weird feeling in her chest that she got when she saw Draco smile.
Yet, she still picked it up off the dresser top, placing it around her neck and feeling the cold steel on her skin. She turned to the mirror, finally feeling satisfied with her final look. She grinned and exited her room, ready to go to that party.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She arrived at the Slytherin Common Room, feeling intimidated by the large amount of people and the loud music. All around her, people were already in their friend groups, chatting away and enjoying the night. Y/n spotted Draco’s blonde hair from afar, seeing that he was standing around a table with some of his friends. His eyes met with hers and his face split into a toothy grin. He was dressed nicely in a simple black suit, with a green tie and black shoes. Her breath caught in her throat, and she was unable to move until he was in front of her. She smiled up at him, seeing his eyes looking over the dress she was wearing.
“You look stunning, Love.” He complimented, looking down to see the necklace she was wearing. “You actually wore it….”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I?” Y/n asked confused.
“It’s just….” Draco trailed off. “Never mind. Let’s just go eat something.” He grabbed her hand gently and brought her further into the party.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hours later, Y/n found herself genuinely enjoying the party. All night long, she was practically stuck to Draco’s side and noticed that he had never let go of her hand. Suddenly, the upbeat tune of the last song faded away and a slow song started playing, causing everyone in the room to grab a partner and start waltzing together. Draco turned to her with a small smirk.
“May I have this dance, Love?” He bowed, still holding her hand.
“Well, how could I say no when you refuse to let go of me.” Y/n joked.
Draco smiled and led her to the middle of the room, resting his hand on her hip and holding their intertwined fingers out. Y/n placed her other hand on his shoulder and the two began to move their feet together in sync, swaying the to the soft beat of the music. Draco’s warm grey eyes bore into her, as if he could see into her very soul. Her chest felt as though it was swelling with an odd happiness. Time seemed to stand still as the music and everyone talking was muted into background chatter, like she and Draco were the only thing that mattered. She no longer saw the people around them, seeing them only as shapeless blobs of color. All she could see was Draco and his sweet smile.
Then, he stopped dancing, worrying Y/n. Everything was still unfocused as he took her outside the Common Room. She had no idea why he stopped or where he was taking them. The whole time, she was in a daze. However, she soon found Draco taking her up the familiar stairs of the Astronomy Tower. He didn’t stop until they reached the balcony. Outside, it was completely silent. The night sky twinkled with thousands of glittery stars and the moonlight bathed everything in a soft white light. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Y/n was suddenly aware of how often Draco would take her here, like it was their special spot.
Gazing at the stars, she could see all of her favorite constellations. She could make out the constellation of Draco, which shone the brightest of all the others. Y/n could feel eyes on her, making her turn to see silver eyes watching her with adoration.
“What are you looking at?” She giggled.
“You.”
She was taken aback by his blunt statement. Nevertheless, heat began to rush to her cheeks, turning them bright red. Draco sighed as he finally looked away from her.
“Draco? What’s wrong?”
“I love you, Y/n. I love every single fibre of you. I just…..” He paused, “…I just wonder if you feel the same.”
Y/n didn’t know what to say. Even she wasn’t sure of what she felt around him. Surely, it couldn’t be love, could it? Draco turned back to her, closing his eyes. He placed a soft hand on her cheek and leaned in slowly. However, he stopped a few mere centimeters away from their lips touching. He was giving her the decision to either kiss him or turn him away. Y/n was shocked, staring at his lips. Her heart was pounding in her chest like a loud drum.
'It was at a time that whenever I was around him, I felt this feeling in my chest.’ Her memories recalled what her mother had said.
'All I can say is that it will feel….right.’
'But, how will I know if they are 'the one’? ’
'You’ll know.’
At this point, Y/n had understood. She understood what that feeling was. She understood why it felt right to wear this dress. She finally understood why dancing with Draco made everything else melt away. Without a second thought, she connected her lips with his and felt him pull her in closer to him. It was such a sweet kiss, filled with unsaid confessions. Their lips fit together perfectly, almost like two puzzle pieces. This was the first time, during this whole fiasco, that she had kissed him on the lips. Any other time, she had turned away to make him kiss her cheek. She knew then, that she wanted to stay like this, with him, forever.
Finally, she realized that she couldn’t deny it anymore.
I’m in love with Draco Malfoy.
*******************************************************************************************
Thank you so much for reading Part 6. So, to stop any confusion, I labeled this part as Part 6 because I changed the first part to a ‘Prologue.’ I felt this better suited the description and now the chapter numbers line up with the days. I actually really like this one (especially the ending bit) and I hope all of you did as well. Sorry it took so long, I found myself busy with schoolwork and such, but I’m back. Thank you again! Until next time.
