I might as well try to have fun while I am there and try to figure out my future.” Zig replied, sending her a smile. “You don’t need to worry about me, I’ll find a way to pay for college. All I need is you.” He replied, not wanting to take Maya’s money. She had done more than enough for him over the years. “All I want you to worry about is your music.” 

Maya smiles big at that, glad that Zig was going to join her if she was going to end up going to New York.”You definitely should. There’s so many things in New York you could explore and do while I’m working on my music. Of course you’re always welcome to watch that too.” Maya said. She wraps her arms around him and kisses his cheek. “But I will worry about you, you’re my boyfriend you can’t expect me not to worry about you.”

“I guess you’ve got a good point.” Zig replied with a humm. College was pretty expensive, but he could probably make things work if he also worked full time while going to school. “I think I’d actually have such a fun time in culinary school. But I also feel New York is probably the hardest place to get a cooking job.”

“Plus you’re like really good at cooking so I wouldn’t doubt that you’d be amazing at that in school. Well, we could look into it together and see if it is. But I have faith in you that you’d totally get in. I can save part of my money to help you out with college too if that’s something you’d be interested in doing.” Maya said. She loved Zig so much that she’d do anything to help him fulfill his dreams too, even if that meant that she put a little money of hers toward him.

“Great, glad to here it.”  Zig replied with a smile. “And what am I supposed to do in New York? Become a groupie. Because I’m down.” He added with a chuckle. Zig would follow Maya anywhere that she wanted to go, no questions asked.

Maya shrugs as she looks up at him with a laugh. “I wouldn’t necessarily say you’d have to become a groupie. Maybe you could go to college for culinary arts there. You’re such an amazing cook. Any restaurant would be lucky to have you as apart of their kitchen staff.”

“I love you Maya.” Zig replied, sending her a smile. He felt that she was completely adorable when she blushed and loved to give her compliments just so that he could see it. Once Maya was back in his arms he gave her a quick kiss. “If they don’t like it than it is there loss. But they are going to love it, and you will move to New York and forget all about me.” Zig replied with a smile.

“I love you too Zig. There’s no doubt about that.” Maya said as she kisses him back before pulling away. She shakes her head. “I could never forget about you. I would love it if you would move to New York with me if that ends up being a decision for me.”

david winced at the words as he put down the weights he was practicing with. he had feared for a bad reaction from kurt - how he had treated him in the past had been unacceptable but they had gotten closer over the summer, so dave had hoped kurt wouldn’t be fully opposed to giving them a shot. he looked up at the other guy and sighed. “no, i am not.” he told kurt and stood up, towering over kurt somewhat. “and it’s not a joke. i bullied you because i hated myself for how i felt about you. i thought that those feelings would go away, but they haven’t. we’ve grown closer over the summer and now, those feelings have just grown. i wanted to let yu know in a respectful matter, not as i have in the past and i fully understand if you like, don’t want me or that i’m not your type. i get that. i just had to tell you.” he stammered out, his voice trembling slightly and his heart racing in his chest.

His demeanor changed whenever he heard that David wasn’t looking to like make fun of him. Kurt scratches the back of his neck as he looks down at the letter he had in his hand. The fact that David was willing to write a letter and actually apologize to him, must have meant something to the other. “I’m sorry, I’m just in shock. I didn’t think you of all people would like me in that way.” Kurt finally said. His feet shuffle forward as he gets closer to the other. Kurt could hear the worry in David’s voice and he knew exactly what that felt like. He reaches down and takes a hold of the other’s hand for a second. “I’m flattered that you like me, maybe we could test the waters? See if something is there?”

“Good, because I would never hurt you.” Zig replied, knowing that they have been through a lot together. He watched as Maya got her guitar and prepared to listen to what he was sure would be an amazing song. He listened as she began to sing and couldn’t help me smile widely at her. “I know that I’ve said it before, and probably about a million times, but I will say it again. You are so incredibly talented.” Zig replied, knowing that he would support her music no matter what.

“I know.” Maya said as she smiles at her boyfriend. Whens he was done with the song she couldn’t help but feel her cheeks turn a slight shade of pink as he told her that she was talented. Though of course he would say that, he was her boyfriend after all. Either way she believed him. She sets her guitar back down and places before returning back into his arms. “Do you think that producer in New York will like it?”

He had just left Glee club when he went to his locker. As he was grabbing his books he was surprised to see an envelope sitting on top of his things. Out of curiosity Kurt grabs the envelope and sticks his books into his locker. The outside of it just having his name on it. Very carefully he opens up the envelope, pulling out the piece of paper that was inside. After reading the first few sentences, he was shocked to see that someone actually wanted to date him. Though he scrolled through the letter more and the more he read on he realized who the letter was from, without even having to see who it was signed from. Kurt is frozen in his place as he stares at the letter in his hands. Was this some kind of joke? Was he being pranked right now? He wasn’t for sure, but he did know was that he wanted answers. 

Kurt knew where to find David it didn’t take a scientist to know. Soon enough he was in the gym and when he got there, he spotted just who he needed. Of course the two of them had become friends, but he wasn’t quite sure just how close they were especially during school hours. “Is this some kind of joke to you? Are you trying to mess with my head Karofsky?”

david had read over the letter once again last night and had decided that it covered everything he wanted to say, without being too elaborate.

“dear kurt,” it said

“i know that our history is complicated and that i have scared and hurt you a lot in the past. i hope you know now that it comes from my own insecurities and not because i ever wanted to harm you - not really.

my feelings for you pushed me to be so incredibly mean to you and i want to tell you i am sorry, as well as ask you if there is any chance that you’d ever consider going out with me… because i really can’t get you out of my mind.

i am not ready to be fully out yet, but i want to take steps towards that - slowly but steadily. i don’t want to hide forever and if i had you by my side, i certainly wouldn’t want to hide you away. 

if you do not feel the same or not even curiosity to what we could be as a pair, i’d like to ask you to keep this to yourself and to keep being my friend.

he sighed as he stood in front of kurt’s locker, way before first period so no one could see him and he finally decided to let it slide into the gap of the locker and then with one last look at the locker, he made his way to the gym to work out and hopefully distract himself from the nervousness he felt at the prospect of kurt reading his letter.

“Well, you trust me, don’t you?” Zig replied, knowing that he would never do anything to hurt her. He always thought about how things would effect her before he made any issues choices in his life. “I guess that is fair. It takes a long time to create a masterpiece.” He added, knowing that Maya was incredibly talented and spent a lot of time working on her music. “I would love to hear it.” 

“Of course I do.” Maya said. Maya trusted him more than she did anyone else at this school. Sometimes it felt like she trusted him more than she did her own sister. Maya sits up for a second and grabs her guitar again. Sitting on the bed as she tunes the guitar. Once it’s ready she begins to play. “Right here in this moment, I just know it’s meant to be. Tonight is so wide open, time is slowing for you and me. From a kiss to a touch. Maybe this will be love. If you want me to get close to you I will. Yes I will.” Maya sang looking at him with a smile.

“Don’t worry, I promise to only use it for your own good.” Zig teased, knowing that he would never try to guilt her into something that she actually didn’t want to do. “I understand that your music is important to you. I just don’t want you to stress out about it too much because if you do than it’s not going to be fun for you anymore. I wouldn’t want you to start hating your passion.” He explained, wanting the best for her. “Good things I hope.” 

“How am I supposed to suddenly believe that?” Maya questions with a soft laugh. Knowing how easily he could get away with using his puppy dog eyes to his advantage. “I’m not really stressing. It’s just taking some time to write the songs, but I do appreciate your concern.” Maya said as she leans over and kisses his cheek. “All good things. It’s about us really. I could play it for you if you want.”

It had only been a couple of weeks since he and Blaine broke up. Now, it just felt like he was numb to the pain he still felt inside. He was exhausted and emotionally drained from crying so much. It wasn’t until Rachel had forced him out of bed and get cleaned up that he was finally out and about again. While Rachel was getting a seat for them, Kurt was currently grabbing both of their coffee orders. Though as he turns around, he freezes as he’s face to face with Blaine again. He feels very lucky that he didn’t demolish the cups he was holding in his hands. Kurt didn’t know what to do, he couldn’t even bring himself to move out of the way.

“I know you can’t. It’s your worst weakness.” Zig replied, blowing her a kiss. He smiled as she admitted defeat and came to snuggle up with him. Once she was in his arm he gave her a kiss on the top of her head. “I know that you have physically been around, but you’ve been pretty busy lately.”

“It really is my worst weakness.” Maya said. She can’t help but smile as he blows her a kiss. Maya reaches up and pretends to catch it in her hands before placing it on her cheek. She settles into his arms easily as she looks up at him. “I know. I’m sorry. It’s just that guy in New York wants a song written soon and I want to make sure I get to him on time. I’ve got part of it done.” Maya said. She reaches over and puts her hand up against Zig’s. “It’s about you.”

It had been a couple of months since she had been home. Smithdale had been very high maintenance and it was hard for her to even get in touch with Jay some days. Manny tried her best though, to keep her relationship with him as she was off at school. Now, that she was back in town for a few weeks, she couldn’t help but feel over joyed at the fact that she’d be getting to spend time with her man. She makes her way to his shop, knowing he’d be working. When she got there and she saw him working on someone’s car, her heart still beating fast as she saw him. Walking up behind him, she places her hands around his eyes. “Guess who?”

“After being in New York, I didn’t think that I could ever come back to Ohio. New York is just the place I need in my life and I can’t wait to finally be there one day.”

“By doing this.”  Zig replied, before giving her puppy eyes and a small pout. He just wanted for Maya to fall into his trap so that he could snuggle her and give her a lot of attention. “Please Maya, I’ve missed you.”

Maya frowns as the other gives her puppy dog eyes. “You know I can’t say no to those eyes.” Maya said as she lets out a small sigh. She sets her guitar down and crawls over to him. Snuggling up in his arms. Even though she needed to work on her music, this seemed pretty right to her right now. “I’ve still been here you know?”

Maya raises her eyebrow at him. “How do you plan on making me come over to you huh?” Not quite budging yet, because she wanted to see what he would do first. He wasn’t the first one that wanted to get rid of their problems that was for sure.

Zig couldn’t help but chuckle at the girl, sending her one of his signature smirks. “Get your cute butt over here before I make you.” He said playfully, opening his arms for the girl to crawl into. Zig just wanted to snuggle up in bed and ignore all of their problems for the rest of the day. “We can even watch what you want to on Netflix.”
