relating to my narrative this is the picture I saw over CRC and I thought it is quite powerful.

what I have noticed is that second print is always more faded as the ink is mostly transferred onto first print.

this is mind map on environment. I used it as my starting point and actually found it very useful throughout the whole rotation project. I decided to write down the most important things in my environment, so that I can then observe things around me more carefully in order to then move onto my research and samples.

this is my zine on bad puns. the reason I made it was because I was really stuck and not sure what I want to do and other day I just spend on looking through twitter and I came across few of the puns and I thought I could just do that.

those are my monoprints produced over the CRC workshops. I tried to experiment with different textures, colours and patterns during the process.

those painting are the ones produced during one of the activities, where we had to paint while we were listening to different music//sounds. I really liked it and I think that it is quite interesting how music can impact your work as well.
The writing on them is my thoughts that I had in my head at the moment, how I feel, what do I think etc. and it was a part of the activity.

those are the collages I made by using my life drawings photocopied onto tracing paper, photographs from the walking activity and found objects from that walk.
as I continued to look at the idea of manipulated, mixed environment I then decide to create collage using different medias. I think they work quite well and I like this sort of sketchiness on top of photographs or natural objects, that creates very original look.

life drawings
I found it quite hard to draw a model in front of me, mainly because I never really used to do much of observational drawings. It was a nice experience and I really enjoyed the session.
I found the key feature for all of my drawings is this sort of sketchy line. The body shape is quite deformed, proportions are very poor. I like the idea of the body being almost manipulated with proportion, it gives another feeling to whole piece, this sort of outstanding and being different, mixed environment.
*sketchy lines
*bright colours

artist research: marlene dumas
a South African born artist and painter who lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In the past Dumas produced paintings, collages, drawings, prints and installations. She now works mainly with oil on canvas and ink on paper.
What dragged me into her work is how kind of weird are her paintings. I like the idea of messing around with proportions, colours, shapes and making realistic slightly more abstract, temporary. I think colour is important in her work as well as tone, because it creates the whole atmosphere of sort of mystery, secret.
