So, I haven't posted about her at ALL but uhh, I do have a character that's super majorly important to the story I'm working on, and is married to the main character. And they have like, 2-3 (pending) children together.

Her name is River Hart. She's the granddaughter of, in this world, a creature deemed "The Father of Darkness."

He and his sister, Lumen, were born around the time Homosapiens began to appear. They were born from the strong spiritual energy that came from us, which developed into souls. The thing was, each side became too powerful for one being to hold, so it split into two amicable sides. The Punisher, and The Caregiver. Each play their own roles, and managed to, after some trial and error, make Heaven, Hell, and Limbo.

Limbo acts as a holding place for souls who weren't bad enough in life to deserve eternal pain/discomfort, but also weren't good enough to earn Heaven. These morals would simply be too difficult to explain right now.

Heaven is simply there as an eternal rest, like a satisfying rest after the ending of a good book. A time to relax and be at peace with everything that happened in life.

Hell, on the other hand, is only there to force people to relive their horrible deeds on repeat. Only if one chooses, with a pure and loving heart, that they regret what they have done, and wish to have done something different will get another life on earth. By then, Daeva will personally choose which body their soul goes back to, and only then will they be given the chance at true redemption. Success is nearly guaranteed through this method.

Some, though, decide to take far too long in their route to redemption. Some take long enough to bore the siblings, which is approximately thousands of years. Almost everyone though, eventually has a change of heart, it just takes some a silly amount of time.

Eventually, though, during the earlier era's of humans, each decided to create their own children from within their bodies, asexually. Daeva's firstborn ended up being Constance.

Constance is nearly a carbon copy of Daeva, with the same appearance in all forms, as well as the same abilities, hers just not being nearly as powerful.

Constance, even with being alive so long, hadn't really met her match. Not until she moved to Britain for somewhat of a project she was working on. Due to lack of energy, I'll keep it short. She met a total malewife, fell in love with him, and he decided to stick around even after finding out she wasn't human. They're still married.

River, of course, came from the mix. She's technically a half human, half "demon," although the actual percentage of her mother's species DNA in her is closer to 75%-80%

To elaborate on her appearance-

In this world, for personal creative reasons, I decided to let characters have both natural and unnatural colors in their hair and eyes. Though, hers is obviously more unnatural than most.

She was born in the year 1900, in America, due to them believing that getting away from Britain would be a good idea.

She ended up being raised on a farm in the middle of nowhere, that her parent's purposely made gothic for the sake of personal style and keeping people away, due to their secrets.

As an adult, River decided she wanted to use her "demon" abilities for mostly good, and became a detective.

Now, that is only the tip of the iceberg, but I'm getting tired :')

So, I've decided to work on an au project on my own for MLP. I absolutely adore the show, and I want to mess around with my favorite characters. One of those ways in which I know I'd have fun are ship kids!

My absolute favorite two characters are Starlight and Sunburst, who I've been shipping since I was 13. Before anyone asks, I'll give a quick rundown of my views on the other ships I've seen them in-

Starlight x Trixie- Honestly? I can't get behind the dynamic, despite them having really good chemistry in the show, and very clearly being bi/lesbian coded for eachother. I find their fights to be easily avoidable, they're awful at communication, and overall I'd need to see them go to therapy before I'd even be happy at seeing it in cannon

Starlight x Twilight- I genuinely see them more as mentor and student figures, especially since in my rewrite, I've made Starlight a good decade younger than Twilight. Of course that isn't actually the case in cannon, but their dynamic and power imbalance definitely would make me rethink the idea of it

Sunburst x Twilight- I actually think these two are adorable together, and could make for a great pairing, I just don't personally want to see them together in my own au. Albeit, I absolutely love Sunburst and Twilight's dynamic. They're such silly nerds, and they honestly should've been shown way more together in the show

Sunburst x Moondancer- Once again, these two would be an excellent pairing. Both socially awkward, bookworm nerds, pretty much the whole package deal. Though, once again, I'd prefer to explore the ship I've been wanting to for the past many years, and I have something else planned for Moondancer in this au.

Sunburst x Thorax- Once again, adorable potential, with personalities which I think would mesh together well. The only thing stopping me from doing this one is, once again, my desire to explore his relationship with Starlight

So now, I'll get into the reasons why I find the idea of Starlight and Sunburst compelling.

First off, they were friends since childhood, seemingly in a childhood where Starlight experienced extreme amounts of isolation, and control. She was emotionally abused by her father, and that's made clear if you've read up on psychology enough

Sunburst's mother was similarly abusive, stripping him away at a young age due to wanting to push her idea of "success" onto him, thus ultimately causing them both to fall into lives they never truly wanted.

Ignoring Starlight being a villain for most of her adult life, both her and Sunburst hate themselves for being "failures," and struggle to rekindle after so many years because the writers handled it poorly. They needed to communicate and learn to come to terms with their pasts so they could move on, and get to know each other as the people they are now. I also personally believe that the show misunderstood Starlight a bit, and made them have way less in common than they honestly should've.

Anyway, so now that I'm done going on by far the largest rant I ever have on here, here's my redesigns of them :} -

To explain a little- The reason my art is so sketchy is because I haven't had the energy to do lineart, so I've started to just clean up the sketch and color it that way. It isn't the best looking, but it does allow me to actually create, which is nice. I do have depression, so getting the motivation to actually make stuff can be incredibly challenging, let alone finishing it.

Since I'm on a roll, I decided to finally redesign Pinkie. For mine and @corruptedmissy rewrite, I'm taking Pinkie, Rarity, and Rainbow as who I'm redesigning, he's taking the other three.

I decided to go heavily into the sweets theming, while also giving more cream patterns due to wanting to keep her coat light. She's also quite short, and relatively stocky, as I wanted to make her clearly more horse like. She's also a pony who's magic determined her appearance a bit, having swirls in her mane and tail, the illusion of sprinkles, as well as melted chocolate looking patterns in both her mane and coat.

The accessories are tailor designed by Rarity as well, as they've likely been friends for quite a long time.

I still have yet to decide what I'll do for her family, but I'll post here when I get them done ^^

So, I'm on a roll today. I've made my current official Rarity redesign.

Multiple things- she has extra fur due to unicorns tending to have much longer manes and fur. She also has much more personal patterns due to her magic being related to gems, mining, and sewing.

I still haven't added a cutiemark since I want to design them separately, but here's what I have for her so far. Her purse she sewed herself, and holds her bits and reading glasses. She made all her accessories herself as well. I'm not the best at designing them, so they're likely not the "official" ones, but I just knew she needed them.

I made a Rainbow Dash redesign for the rewrite me and @corruptedmissy are making. I also technically have ideas for how her parents will look, which I'll draw later

I based her off of falcon's, who tend to have those pattern types on their wings. I also leaned more into her having a cloud-like appearance.

To give a quick note- it's common for some pegasi to have droopy ears. Falcon's tend to have very sleek heads without visible ears, so Dash's ears are slicked back most of the time, naturally, to make her more aerodynamic. They're also made of feathers instead of fur.

To explain the scar- when she got her cutiemark performing the first Sonic Rainboom in centuries, she ended up with whiplash in her eyes. I should also mention, I didn't add the cutiemark because I'm shit at drawing them. I plan to make it separately later, when I know what I'll do for it.

Per this last post, I have recently redesigned their child-

His name is Carmine Tundra.

For some background- me and my friend @corruptedmissy are working on a rewrite for mlp g4, and we've decided to make their genetics more complicated. Due to his mother and father being a unicorn/crystal pony and half pegasus/bat pony respectively, he ends up with all three genes mixed into some weird appendages. I didn't draw it well, but he has half bat wings, as well as fangs. He also of course has a horn, which can't easily be used for anything more than to produce light. He's primarily pegasus/bat/crystal pony, rather than being unicorn. The reason for the stronger crystal genes are due to it being powered by magic, and due to them living in the Crystal Empire, where he was born.

This is a pretty basic, unfinished reference, but whatever, I like it. // Warning for bug-like creature if this strikes someone's entomophobia. This is part of an MLP rewrite au me and my good friend @x-the-darkness-x are workin' on. I was givin' the go on redesigning a lotta the general species besides the ponies, and that includes my favorites, the changelings. :} My goal was to keep the general shape and build of 'em while still makin' 'em much more bug-like, 'cause I kinda hate that they're just weird bug-pony-things in the show, even if I'm still fond of their designs on the surface.

So, I'm being evil and I made yet another sketch. I think it looks horrible, but oh well. I've been wanting the post more consistently on here, just for myself really. Partially for documentation reasons, and partially just kinda since I enjoy having my stuff on here. Anyway, here it is-

Baby Felise and my other oc, Kane, his uncle. Felise is not cis, but even then his father {primarily Alex, look at the previous post, the black haired dude for reference} would still dress him in, well, dresses, since they're cute and easy.

The anatomy is shit, but oh well, what would I do anyway, I already made it and I'm too lazy to fix it

I haven't posted in a bit- but since I personally need a palette cleanser from this election, I'm gonna post some art of mine for fun :}

This is a sorta lazily posed drawing of mine and my partner's OC's. It was a play on a sorta "magic vs science" thing, but it doesn't seem to really come across that way and they're kinda just looking at eachother smugly

It's all in good fun for them, though

This is their child, Felise. I don't usually draw him, but I thought it'd be fun to draw him as a baby {6 months old}, and play around with a weird fox-parasite demon-venom/human child hybrid. I think it turned out alright

This is an old OC of mine, brother of the other OC I showed (one on the right with black hair). This is a sorta reimagining of them {as shown by the old art in the new art photo}, and me actually trying to flesh out their story. I sadly am putting him through the wringer.

Anyway, that's it. I'll post more when I inevitably end up sketching more. My current fun with art has been sketching and coloring, so thus that's what my newest stuff will be/has been. I hope whoever made it this far actually likes my stuff, and has the best day they can, especially after this election
