I maked Mushrooms in Blender with sculpting, got them into Unreal and Pseudo Textured them all with Cel Shading in one day, WITH some miniVFX Proud of myself for doing something small and getting it done fast for once.

I think the bigger is that Kylo hasnt just killed his father. He killed the padowans at Luke's temple. He's killed thousands of rebels, some of who Leia probably knew for much longer than she knew her son. And then he killed Han. And continued to kill more of the people she cared for.

She realized there was nothing to redeem from Kylo anymore, regardless if he did not pull the trigger. He is no longer Ben Solo, he is a dark side force user who already has a rack sheet of wiping out armies and even innocents who had no direct part in the galactic civil war.

It has nothing to do with the heroine. Rei didnt make Kylo join the dark side. Rei didn't make Kylo kill his father. Rei didn't make Kylo try to kill his mother.

Kylo is the cause of his own abondonment. He destroyed everything that loved him and so everything that he loves abandons him. Leia letting go of her son is the continued sign that Kylo created his own loneliness and that these are the consequences of his continuing actions that continue to hurt her.

Still my least favorite of The Last Jedi: Leia’s abandonment of hope in her son. This is the only part of the movie I cannot understand from Rian’s perspective. I can’t get behind it. I do hope JJ fixes this aspect somehow because I think it’s a huge mistake.

Keep in mind Kylo did kill Han. Even if they separated that's a really heavy blow on that relationship. Do you keep loving your son even after you hear he killed the one who had your heart?
