Tumblr Terror
Okay, Y'all given that Tumblr has decided to be a hot mess I’ve tried to clean up whatever I’ve posted that might be considered risque. I took pictures off of my more adult writing one-shots so hopefully, that helps.
Should something get deleted or flagged and I’ve missed it either let me know or just head to my AO3.  Only been here a year and would hate to have to leave but if it happens it happens.
Also my lack of posting comes from being in college and weird internet connection. I would like to say I’ll be able to post stuff soon, but I might not be able to come through as strongly as I should.
I will try to get you all some new content just bare with me.
Thanks ~J

The batfamily is very protective with Haley.   I hope you can write this for me.. Hi again ❤😍😘
AN: Since this is really late I made it a super long one shot to make up for my absence. Also since I don’t get many requests I ran with this idea a bit more (20 Google Doc pages) and I really hope you enjoy it.

********   ********
Pulling up the long driveway you leaned forward to peer out your windshield as a towering mansion came into view.
Swallowing, “Whoa.”
Your voice echoed back to you in the car and at that moment you hated that your car’s radio had died months prior. Leaning back into your seat you pushed on the gas pedal and urged your poor car up the inclined driveway.
The gravel crunched under your car tires and seemed like the loudest sound on the entire property. You laughed at that thought, because as far as you could tell you weren’t wrong.
The mansion was bigger than any newspaper article could attempt to convey. Not to mention it was isolated pretty far from the city, a place you weren’t all too excited to have to drive through later.
Rounding the hilltop you parked on the side of the driveway further from the house, all closer spots being occupied by several other cars.
Biting your lip you wondered if maybe this was a bad time. If maybe you were in the wrong pl--
“You have arrived at your destination.” Your phone’s automated voice killed your thought.
Heaving a sigh you busied yourself, or more like stalled, with collecting your phone. Turning slightly the sight of your single suitcase in the rearview mirror caught your attention. Your stomach rolled at the fact that your entire life fit into one little suitcase.
Yanking the keys from the ignition you remembered the faded yellow envelope sitting in your passenger seat. Reaching toward it your fingers curled around its edge hesitantly.
“Pretty sure this is going to be a terrible idea, but for you, Mom, I’ll try.” You whispered the words hoping for some sort of comfort that never came.
Pushing your car door open you got out and studied once more the intimidating grandeur of Wayne Manor.
Inhaling deeply you slowly let it out, “Five minutes for this all to blow up, and then I’ll just go into the city and look for that designer job. Yeah. Five minutes, it’ll be fine.”
You spoke aloud to yourself in an attempt to ward off the nervousness eating the lining of your stomach. Gravel shifted underfoot as you made your way across the driveway and up the grand entry stairwell and toward the equally grand thick double wooden doors.
“What is it with rich people and having big stuff?” You laughed nervously at your observation before clearing your throat. “Here goes nothing.”
Raising your fist to knock you quickly withdrew it as the door whipped open revealing a stuffy looking old man donning a stereotypical butler outfit.
“I am sorry miss but solicitors are not permitted on Wayne Manor grounds. I am--” The old man’s soft voice held a stern undertone making you shake your head.
“Whoa, I’m not here to sell you anything.” You smiled apologetically, “I’m here to speak with a, uh, Mr. Bruce Wayne. It’s important personal--”
“Master Bruce does not do personal interviews if your employer did not inform you.”
Your shoulders sagged as your annoyance rose. Once again you shook your head and presented him the faded envelope, “I’m not here for an interview either, or anything like that. I just need to talk to him.” You spoke lower as you peered at him, “I mean unless his daughter isn’t allowed an audience of course.”
The older man’s eyes narrowed suspiciously as he carefully took the offered envelope. You watched the man retrieve the letter tucked inside and read it, his expression changing from bored, confusion, understanding, and finally surprise.
The man after a moment cleared his throat and relooked at you, “If you would please wait one moment out here I shall speak with Master Bruce.”
Before you could say anything more the front door was swiftly shut in your face. Your mouth dropped open slightly.
Okay, you should have expected that, but jeez.
You had for the past several weeks been daydreaming about the million and one different ways things could have gone just now, but this had been low on your hopefuls list.
Sure you didn’t expect the Bruce Wayne to gallivant outside and swoop his long-lost daughter up into a hug, but still having a door literally slammed shut in your face was pride hurting.
Hugging yourself and unsure what else to do you shifted on your feet. Looking back at your car the desire to just shove your hurt pride into the car and just leave was overwhelming.
For the first time since your mom had passed away, you felt caught between the life you already had and the one you never knew was out there.
A small gust of wind picked up enough to make the manicured animal-shaped bushes sway.
Who were you kidding? This wasn’t you. This wasn’t your world. You snorted as you studied the animal-shaped bushes and further proved how very different you were from your apparent “father”.
Dropping your arms to your sides you turned only to smack straight into some solid unmoving thing. Backpedaling you rubbed at your nose, “What the--
“You alright? Sorry about that, but I called out to you like ten times. You were super zoned out.” The kind man’s tone had you looking up at him with wide eyes.
The man had some height on you as he smiled slightly down, his perfect white teeth making you double take. You tried to guess his age and figured him to only be a few years older.
His dark hair was styled in a way that bordered between hip and old man, which oddly complimented his casual look.
‘Is he a real person?’
Your thought made you laugh uncomfortably as yet another tally was added to the “Should Just Leave;  Don’t Fit In Here” side of your mental whiteboard.
Shaking yourself of the thought you cleared your throat, “No, uh, I’m sorry. I should have looked where I was going.”
The dude frowned slightly at you, “Would you like to come in? It’s not like Alfred to just let people chill out here on the steps. Come on.”
You tried to reject the offer only for the dude to strongly usher you toward the door.
“Uh, sir, its--” You started.
The man shuddered, “Ew, Dick will do.”
Your head cocked to the side, “What?”
“My name.” The man spoke coming to a stop, his hand on the door handle and happy blue eyes pinning you.
Your eyebrows lifted, “Oh, um, Dick, I don’t--”
As the front door opened whatever you had been wanting to say died. The interior of the manor damned your full attention with its unique yet sophisticated style and colors.
In the distance, two other male voice echoed toward you.
“I told you not to touch my notes, Damian!”
“Tt, well you shouldn’t leave them carelessly lying around, Drake.”
There was a loud groan almost a growl, “Are you kidding me? They were in my room! Stop creeping around the house just because you’re bored for crying out loud. Those case notes are for a high profile client--”
A yawn sounded, “You’re prosecuting against--”
“Sorry about them, those two can be so loud!” Dick spoke loud enough to draw your attention back to him and then louder toward the end demanding the two others quiet down.
The noise immediately lowered and you were vaguely impressed.
“Anyways, what brings you by? Did your car break down?” Dick’s question made your lips thin.
Sure you were a little out of your element being here, but his assumption about why exactly you were here was annoying. Your mama didn’t raise a helpless woman.
Shoving your hands in your pockets you were about to explain only for a new bought of yelling to cut through the air. The deep baritone voice seemed to carry into every cranny of the manor.
“Who in their right mind gets off on fabricating such stories? I mean honestly, people need to find better hobbies.”
There was a pause as a lower indistinguishable murmur sounded.
“No. It doesn’t make any sense, and just to clarify I will send them off.”
Another low murmur sounded along with hurried footfalls. Your expression tightened at the words spoken by who you could only assume to be Bruce Wayne.
As the man came into view at the top of the stairs donning an all-black tailored suit, his jet black hair not giving away the slightest about his real age, you glared.
The man’s blue eyes widened slightly as he made his way toward you.
Straightening your shoulders you rose your head in an attempt to fake looking imposing. The desire to tear him a new one burned the tip of your tongue, but your mama had also raised you to be a patient woman.
Dick shifted back a step as an awkward tension of sorts lit between you and Bruce.
Once Bruce was only a few feet away his eyes widened with realization. You could just see his brain flipping through faces in his memory catalog and finding your mother’s.
Everyone said you looked just like her and now you believed it a little more because Bruce was now staring at you like he was seeing a ghost.
“Alexandra?” Alexandra Y/l/n?” Bruce’s tone was low and careful as if he’d spoken some holy name he was unworthy to breathe.
You swallowed against the emotion brought on by just hearing your mother’s name. Shaking your head some of your earlier fights bled out replaced by exhaustion.
“You read the letter therefore you know that’s not the case. Alexandra, my mother is dead, and I just wanted to--”
Words failed you because in honestly you didn’t know what you wanted or had ever expected. All of it now seemed silly and impossible.
“I don’t know.” You spoke quietly before tearing your gaze away. You were suddenly hyper-aware of several pairs of eyes on you and backed closer toward the door.
Glancing around you noted two of the men you guessed who’d been shouting before were peeking around a corner. Both donned the same dark hair and blue eyes as Bruce and Dick.
While both were younger than you by the looks of it their added eyes made everything much harder. You were encroaching in a life Bruce already had set up with no room for you.
For someone so far from them.
“I’m sorry, I uh, this wasn’t the best idea. My mother just though if you knew then--excuse me.”
Turning fast on your heel you wrenched open the front door and took off like a shot to your car. For the first time since you’d gotten the car the thing didn’t give you an issue when starting up.
Gravel pelted against the side of your car as you tore away from the manor and toward a city you knew nothing about.
________-----________
Pulling away from your design tablet you studied the flowing gown you’d spent the last several weeks designing and redesigning. Picturing one Ms. Selina Kyle wearing the gown to her and your father’s wedding was still more than a little weird.
The thought of your father recalled memories of the first time you’d meet him several months prior. It had been an awkward and rocky start, but you two were getting the hang of things.
You knew Bruce on the daily was still struggling to make sense of your mother’s choice to keep you quiet. Bruce understood that your mother had always been a humble and kind woman, not one to care about titles or fancy things.
In fact, Bruce just a few weeks ago had admitted that your mother had been one of the first women, besides Selina, to love him for just him. It wasn’t about the money or big name. To your mother, Bruce was just Bruce.
When she’d gotten pregnant Alexandra had pushed Bruce away for the sole purpose of not wanting to trap him or her unborn child into anything. Alexandra didn’t want the Wayne name hanging over her child. Just like she didn’t want Bruce to owe her anything.
Your mother had raised you on her own the best way she knew how and only told you of Bruce in a letter within her will.
You smiled at the memory of your mom and Bruce together before it was replaced with him and Selina.
You had to admit you were happy for them. Happy that they offered each other happiness in such a crazy world, and more importantly a second chance for your father.
“Uh, you done with your final edits? Renata wants to start developing a physical piece. Selina’s first fitting is like less than a week, Y/n.”
Your head snapped up at the urging words of your coworker. At the mention of Ranata, a sour taste filled your mouth. While Ranata was Gotham’s best fashion designer she had only agreed to hire you after news leaked that you were a Wayne.
The woman was a real snake, willing to do anything to stay on her faux golden podium. While you were grateful for the dream job title you weren’t so thrilled that you were essentially her bi--uh, errand girl.
What a joke.
The only reason you were not running to get coffees this past month was because Selina had figured out Renta’s crap treatment of you and decided to use a power play. Or rather demanded you be the only one working on designing her wedding dress.
It was a love-hate kind of gig at this point.
“Here, I think this is the one. The patch-up process can start,” You spoke while plastering on a smile and handing your coworker the tablet.
Where you’d gotten temporarily promoted to Ranata’s right hand, her true one, Jamie, had been temporarily demoted.
Awkward didn’t cover it.
Jamie smiled tightly back before exiting your small office. Looking at your laptop’s clock you noted with relief that it was time for your lunch break. Gathering your things you made a Beeline toward the elevator.
It wasn’t much longer before you were stepping outside into cool fresh air with a contented sigh.
“I thought only food or myself could make you make that sound, what gives?” The deep tenor words sent a shiver down your spine as you located the voice’s source.
Leaning casually against the side of his trusty motorcycle was your more than six-month boyfriend Jason Such-A-Dork-Peter Todd.
You smiled as you neared, “What are you doing here? I thought you said you wouldn’t be back from your business trip until tomorrow night.”
Jason pulled you into his arms as he kissed you. A few moments passed before you broke away for air, okay more like Jason Always-Super-Intense-Peter Todd.
Ever since you and Jason had gotten together six months ago things never ceased to amaze you. Jason was the man you never in a million years expected to find yourself with, simply because he was, well amazing.
Everything you had ever wanted and then some came wrapped in a 200-something pound man that had the looks to make most Greek gods envious. Not to mention Jason was an enigma all his brooding intimidating exterior was a massive cover-up for the caring careful man underneath. Though he’d never admit to it.
Jason played with a strand of your hair, “I wrapped things up early so I could surprise you.” Jason donned a playful smile, “Did it work?”
You rolled your eyes, it was like dealing with a cute little kid sometimes, “Yes, babe it worked.”
Jason made a face of victory before kissing your nose. You laughed at him as your fingers drew random designs along his arms.
Gotham life continued to buzz around you, but you both didn’t mind. That was another thing you loved about Jay, he could be this energetic happy light in your life while also capable of being your quiet comfort.
“Things go okay today?” Jason’s low words had you mutely nodding.
Jason heaved a sigh before cupping your face and forcing you to look at him.
Your lips thinned for a moment, “My main project is almost done. Once the dress is done so too will my opportunity to ever create anything.”
Jason’s eyes darkened, “I don’t know why you just don’t apply someplace--”
You pulled away, “You know why. Ranata is the best fashion designer in Gotham I just have to work my way up.”
Jason looked at you unconvinced, “You said that months ago and have yet to hear even a whisper about a promotion.”
Your mouth opened and shut with failed attempts to counter his words.
Jason reached out and rubbed your arms, “If you land a spot someplace else, someplace that will actually appreciate you I’m certain it’ll be more beneficial. You’ll climb the ranks so much faster, I mean, Y/n your work is amazing.”
You made a face, “But what if you're wrong.”
Jason smiled reassuringly, “When am I ever wrong?”
You made a face.
“Okay, that was one time!” He said defensively before continuing, “I’m serious though, you have the stuff. I mean let’s be honest whoever this top client is wouldn’t really have asked you to design her dress if she didn’t love what you do.”
You huffed a breath, “Fine. I’ll look around, but only after this dress.”
Jay held up his hands, “Hey I’m just happy you’re going to be happier.” Jason leaned forward to steal another kiss, “Come on, let’s go.”
You blinked, “Where?”
“To lunch of course. Also to sort of celebrate the new direction your career will take one you ditch Rat-ata.”
You smacked Jay’s arm as you climbed onto his bike, “She’s not a damn Pokemon, Jay.”
He shrugged uncaring waiting for the feel of your arms to snake around his waist after you fastened your helmet.
**********
Jay pulled up in front of a little bistro a few blocks away that was known for their handmade sandwiches.
After you’d both ordered and gotten your food you wandered to a table outside.
For the first several minutes you both enjoyed your food and each others presence. Jay finished off his last bite before sitting back in his stool.
Taking a good bite from your own sandwich you studied the lines around Jay’s blue eyes noting they were slightly squinted, an indicator of his mind being miles away.
Reaching out your brushed a few strands of black hair out of his eyes effectively redirecting his attention.
“What’s on your mind, babe?” You asked softly.
Jason looked away, one side of his nose scrunching up in disgust or possibly uncertainty. Setting your sandwich down you gave Jason your full attention, something was super bugging him.
“Jay?” You probed.
“I want you to meet my family.” Jason’s rush exhaled world had your eyebrows flying into your hairline.
The prospect of meeting Jay’s family and him meeting yours was never something either of you discussed. Hell, you’d moved in together and never even really talked about your families.
You both mentioned a member here or there but neither of you made it a big thing, you were content to just have each other. So Jay suddenly wanting to introduce you to his adoptive father and siblings was petty big.
Sure, he knew your dad to be some well-known billionaire but Jason didn’t care for specifics. He loved you for you and vice versa.
“Um, whoa, okay.” You spoke slowly before you smiled, “Yeah, definitely. When?”
Jason’s expression went from cringing to excited within a blink as you got equally excited.
“Well, there’s a big charity thing he’s doing tonight at his house. Dude is pretty big into doing parties all the time, but I figured it’d be fun. I could introduce you and dance you off your feet.”
You smiled, “Sounds like a date to me, Todd.”
Jason smiled before leaning forward to kiss you. Tonight was going to be fun and new ground for the both of you.
*************
Finger the last bit of hair into place you gave a final glance over at yourself. Your dress was simple but at least comfortable something you really needed for tonight.
The thought of meeting Jason’s family hadn’t fully sunk in until about two hours ago as you’d started getting ready. To say you were nervous would be an accurate assumption.
Inhaling steadily you turned around only to halt as Jason filled your view. A crooked smile rested on his lips as he took you in.
“What?” You asked.
He shrugged, “You just always manage to blow me away.”
The light comment had you feeling even more nervous than before and all you could manage was a smile.
“Come,” he said gently motioning you forward, “it’s time to go.”
You wrapped your arm around Jason’s offered one. Simply touching him was enough to ground you and make the upcoming trial all the more bearable.
Your fingers wrapped more firmly around Jason’s arm as word tumbled from your lips, “Will you stay with me throughout tonight? I’ve never--this isn't something--”
“I’ll never leave you, Y/n,” Jason spoke with such assurance and promise his eyes burned.
Your lips parted ready to say more but the opening of a car door redirected your eyes. Your brows lifted as the sight of a very foreign looking car.
“What--”
“Just because I don’t always ride on four wheels doesn’t mean I don’t have some.” Jay’s teasing tone had you whipping your head back to him.
“This is your car?”
“Yeah. She doesn’t get to go for many walks, let alone have extra passengers.”
You made a face of admiration, “Very nice Todd. thought you know there are more colors in the spectrum than just red and black right?”
Jason’s expression flattened as he gestured you inside, “Just get in the car smartass.”
You let out a good laugh as the door slammed shut and Jay all but stomped around to the driver’s side.
“Aw, babe, I was just kidding.” You leaned forward to kiss his cheek.
Jason heaved a sigh, “you’re lucky I love you and tolerate you.”
You shook your head as another laugh erupted from you. The light banter continued as Jay drove making the earlier nervousness leak from you.
As the car easily veered off the main road and began its way up a rather familiar steep drive your brows knit together. Casting Jay a look from the corner of your eye all you could make out was his shadow lite features of concentration.
The closer you neared the top of the hill cars began to more heavily line either side of the drive. Valet parkers raced in and out of cars trying to keep the line moving smoothly.
The thought of Jay possibly pulling up before your father’s house with a bad joke in mind had you speaking up“Uh Jay,--”
“Hold on, sweetheart.” Jay rolled his window down as a valet neared, “Is my spot open outback?”
The valet nodded making your brows lift further. His spot? How long had he been meeting with your father? Was this a setup by Bruce? Was everything a lie with Jason?
“Hey, it’s okay, Y/n. Just breathe.” Jason’s words cut through your whirling thoughts making you stare at him wide-eyed.
“Okay? Jason, what the hell are we doing here?” Your voice came outlined with a warning.
Jason’s blue eyes narrowed in pure confusion, “This is where the party is. Did you forget why we came out tonight?”
His answer killed your defensiveness and had your mind working to justify.
A lot of parties happen at Wayne Manor. Jason could easily be the son of someone often invited to your father’s parties. It was all coincidental.
Jason reached across the center console after parking the car to gently grasp your hands. His tone was low and soft as his eyes searched yours, “Are you okay? I mean if this is too much too soon we can just go back--”
You shook your head, “No, no, I’m fine. I’m sorry, I just” Your words drifted, “I’m just nervous.”
Jason gave a sad smile, “Aw, babe you have nothing to be nervous for. They are going to love you. Hell, they’ll be happy that you’re even a person.”
Your nose wrinkled, “What?”
Jay got out of the car and opened your door before replying, “Well since you’re the first person I’ve ever brought home this will stop my annoying brothers from thinking I’m incapable of love.”
The cool night air didn’t seem to even register much along your bare arms as Jay’s natural body heat brushed it away. The gentle sound of violins and light chatter quickly filled your ears.
The massive balcony doors at the back of the Manor were left wide open the inside light pouring out onto the lawn. Stepping up the few marble stairs you and Jay were quickly swallowed up by those gathered for the party.
It wasn’t long before strangers were coming up to chat with Jason to which he introduced you. Names, accents, and champagne flavors had all managed to blur together in no time.
Your heels began to ache at the prolonged standing making your shift uncomfortably. As an elderly couple who you thought had been named something along the lines of Meiser ebbed away you searched for a nearby chair.
Jason’s strong arm suddenly vanished from around your waist and had you spinning around to see what was the matter.
The sight of Jason bending slightly to hug a redheaded woman didn’t bother you nearly as much as the sight of who stood beside her.
Dick stood smiling at Jason and the other woman as they embraced and shared several witty comments, all lost to you.
“Dick?” Your voice must have been louder than you’d thought because it had two extra sets of eyes snapping toward you.
Jason’s expression suddenly morphed into confusion, but before anyone could try sorting things two younger boys appeared.
Damian shoved Tim into the middle of the semicircle of bodies. Damian was a clean cut contrast to Tim who looked a bit disheveled but confident.
You felt like an outsider watching as Tim, Dick, and Damian all began to chat with Jason. The four quickly falling into a small argument of insults.
“Wow, Todd actually knows how to use hair gel,” Damian said coolly.
“Look who’s talking you damn monkey.” Jason hissed.
Tim rolled his eyes, “At least he tied his tie right, Jay. Didn’t Dick at least rehearse that with you a thousand times? Man how the heck do you plan to get a woman if you can’t do a tie”
“Alright, alright, let’s just relax--” Dick started.
The three boys were all about to jump at Dick only to stop when someone cleared their throat directly behind you.
Turning slightly you weren’t all too surprised to find your father studying you while his fiance Selena hung from his arm.
Painting on a smile you immediately started formulating was to introduce Jay given the suddenness of the evening so far.
“I was wondering when we’d meet up this evening.” You blindly reached for Jason and pulled him closer as you prepared to do the introduction, “Dad this is--”
“Dad?” Jason looked at you with wide eyes as he jumped sideways.
Your eyes pleaded at him to relax while he almost comically looked between you and Bruce.
Jason’s voice was a harsh whisper, “What the hell are--”
You glared at Jason while forcing yourself to continue, “This is Jason Todd, my boyfriend. The one I’ve mentioned--”
Selena covered her laughter as Dick’s mouth dropped open. Dick’s expression glazed over and Tim and Damian were suddenly bet at the waist trying to drag in proper breaths.
Bruce’s eyes got larger, “Excuse me, what?”
Jason thrust his hands through his hair, “You didn’t tell me--”
There was suddenly a mass of voices as everyone in the little circle tried to talk. You were busy trying to explain who Jason was to your father and vice versa. Selena had scooped up a champagne glass and stood with the red-headed woman from earlier clearly enjoying the chaos.
The three other boys were chatting amongst themselves shifting between laughter and anger.
Several minutes passed before you, Jason. and Bruce managed to sort out the confusion. Silence descended upon the three of you.
“Wow, so you’re--”
“I mean I thought your dad was--”
Your and Jason’s words collided into a jumbled mess as you stared at him with uncertainty.
“I’m glad my biological daughter and adopted son have found happiness, but this is most definitely the weirdest thing I have ever encountered.” Bruce spoke lightly while beginning to move away, “And that’s saying a lot considering the things I’ve--”
Bruce’s words died under a sudden high pitched white noise followed by the Manor glass windows imploding.
People began to scatter further into the Manor to escape the flying glass. Jason’s protective hold along your forearm was torn away in the chaos as you were separated.
The lights within the grand ballroom flickered dangerously as the built-in speakers of the house screamed with another high pitched sound. High pitched laughter dampened the ear-splitting sound sending ice through your veins.
The sheer panic coming from the crowd as everyone scrambled to what they assumed to be safety left you frantically searching for a familiar face.
A popping sounded to your left was responded with a renewed rush of people. The smell of burnt ozone filled your senses as smoke billowed up the large curtains of the ballroom.
Your eyes suddenly caught sight of Jason’s red suit vest but before you could call out a terrified stranger was shoving you aside.
Your heels caught the edge of your dress tearing it and sending you down against the floor hard. The wind whipped around you with a new level of ferocity as you failed to hear the descending helicopter.
Your abused ears barely registered anything over the screaming crowd as a brilliant white light blinded the Manor. Yellow smoke slowly crawled over your hands as breathing became harder.
Someone’s foot caught your shoulder as they ran sending you back onto your back with enough force to leave you stunned.
Blinking through the sensory overload it took a moment to register the shiny dress shoes coming into your blurred vision through the now thick toxic yellow cloud.
A hand curled into your hair forcing your upright. Muffled voices were all your ears could manage to make sense of.
Blinking rapidly did little to help clear your eyes of involuntary tears and blurred colors. The need to just shut your burning eyes and take slower breathes was far too inviting.
***************
By the time your eyes managed to pry themselves back open it took a few moments to get your surroundings.
Several stories above you was a domed skylight giving a clear view of the hazy night sky. At least you didn’t seem to have been out long. The interior of the strange building was definitely industrial but its purpose went over your head.
Taking stock of yourself for the first time you actively ignored the cold feel of the cement floor seeming into your dress to check for injuries.
Nothing immediately cried for attention making you sigh with relief. Rolling slowly onto your side your shoulder protested slightly, but that was all.
The high pitched sound of steam hissing free through a small crack in one of the numerous pipes surrounding you had you cringing. Okay, so your ears were still sensitive. Check.
“Do not try to run and I’ll let you roam a bit free.”
A man’s unfamiliar deep command had you freezing. Dragging your eyes across the room you watched a man step from the shadows along with several like dressed men.
Where the leading man wore a white suit and his followers all black they shared, what the hell were they? Masks?
Fear and all sorts of unnecessary thoughts suddenly plagued your mind. Shooting to your feet you mirrored backward strides of the men's forward ones.
“Listen, buddy, I’m not going to kink shame you but you’re freaking me out and I just--please don’t--”
“Quiet!” The man growled to which to obliged.
Without much else to protect yourself with you rose your hands hoping it’d do something.
“Show some respect when in Roman’s presence little girl.” Another man spoke snapping your attention as you tried to figure which one had spoken.
“One more word out of you and you’ll go back to street surveillance.” The leader snapped before turning back to you, “Now Ms. Wayne--”
“Banks are closed right now so your not getting any money Mr. Latex Lover.”
As soon as the snide comment was out of your mouth you instantly wanted to take it back, because for a man wearing a full face mask he sure seemed pissed.
Before you could try to recover from the smartass remark the man was into your personal space and gripping your throat.
“You little--”
Before Roman got any further several small explosions, raining glass, and gunfire started. One of the small explosions sending you and Roman several feet.
Peering through the smoke you faintly made out the sight of, was that Batman?
Before your brain could try to confirm anything Roman was grabbing at you again. Kicking your heels off you shoved against his forceful tugging.
Grabbing one of the pointed shoes you whacked at Roman’s head with the pointed end.
“Let go, dude!”
Roman grunted in annoyance struggling to rip the shoe free of your hand while dragging you away from the chaos.
“I swear to God--” Roman’s annoyed words were mirrored with him tearing a pistol free of his waistband, “I only need parts of you for this payday to work out.”
Your hand froze mid-downswing as you eyed the cool barrel of the gun. Swallowing hard you let your shoe drop.
“Get stepping.”
Roman growled low in your ear before shoving you forward. Your feet moved quickly toward a flight of spiral stairs. An exit doorway came into view along a lifted walkway, but before you got too near the sound of two bodies colliding had you whipping around.
Roman’s gun skid across the metal walkway toward you as another form donning black tactical pants, a leather jacket, and red helmet pinned Roman down.
A grunt of pain sounded as Roman’s head snapped to the side.
“Long time no see Black Mask. Thought we had an agreement last we met though.” The deep voice sounding from beneath the red helmet nagged momentarily at you.
“Next time get it in writing there, Red.”
Roman’s words motivated Red Hood to jab at him again, but the blow was quickly dodged. Stepping back slightly the two massive forms struggled for an upper hand.
Your eyes searched for what you weren’t sure.
The elevated walkway swayed dangerously as the two continued to roll around. The sound of screeching metal had you whipping your head around to find the metal wiring straining to hold.
“Uh, guys.” You spoke up.
“Just a minute there, uh, ma’am.”
Red Hood’s almost questioning use of the word ma’am had you making a face before the walkways collapse retook precedence.
The sight of one of the metal wires finally snapping had you racing forward without second thought. There wasn’t any more time to wait, you had to get off the bridge.
Grabbing a fistful of leather jacket was all you managed as the metal bridge snapped and began its swing.
Roman’s cry of surprise as the walkway beneath him vanished was drowned out by screeching metal. Gravity and some odd number of pounds worth of muscle had you plummeting down.
Shooting out your hand your fingers curled around the walkways handrail in hopes to not plummet down several stories.
As you and Red Hood’s weight came to a jarring stop at the end of the broken walkway your shoulder lit with pain making your weak hold loosen.
“Hold on up there!” Red Hood’s words made your teeth clench.
“No shit Sherlock! How do we get out of this!? And why the hell am I the one saving you?” Your snappy words had Red Hood snapping his head up to look at you.
You could feel the burn of his shielded glare, “Listen smartass--”
Red Hood’s casual retort again rang familiar but was pushed aside as your fingers slipped more.
“Oh god, I’m slipping!”
“Then let go!”
“Are you insane?”
“No, I’ll catch us, trust me.” Your hesitation had Red Hood pushing, “I’ve got you Y/n.”
For a moment your fear was wiped away as you stared at Red Hood as things clicked together. Tears burned the backs of your eyes both in a mix of several things.
“No way--”
The walkway gave once more dropping you and Jason unceremoniously backward and down. Jason used your flight through the air as the chance to pull you against him.
It felt far too fast that you were both jarring to a halt and smacking against something. Jason coughed and wiggled beneath you trying to alleviate his discomfort.
Slowly peeling yourself from his arms you sat up with a groan.
“Not one of my better superhero landings.”
Jason’s joking words set you on edge, “You douche!” You smacked at him, “You didn’t even tell me!”
“Well no kidding--ouch dammit, easy!”
You pounded at his pad protected chest a little harder as Jason tried to wiggle away. Since you two had landed atop a small outcropping of piping that was only a few feet wide there’s wasn’t far to run.
“You two are going to fall the rest of the way down you don’t knock it off!”
You stalled in your actions and peeked down over the edge to see several other heroes standing around looking up at you.
“What the--”
“The whole bro band came out with Daddy-O to come to get you.” Jason’s whispered words had your tired brain working into a migraine.
Groaning you laid down next to Jay and waited for help down, “I’m over today. I love you but let me know when actual help gets here.”
Jason feigned hurt as he laughed and sprawled out next to you. Closing your eyes you admitted that even though this was a massive loop you hadn’t seen coming it was just another thing you and Jay would continue with together.

Hi! I love the way you write 😍 can you write one shot for me? 🙏 Haley Wayne the real Bruce Wayne daughter is a fashion designer, she in love with Jason Todd, she doesn't know he is Red Hood and the secret about his dad, Dick, Tim and Damien. After a charity event she is kidnapped by Black Mask and his men, so Jason wearing the red helmet decides to save his love. The batfamily is very protective with Haley. I hope you can write this for me.. Hi again ❤😍😘
Hey! So happy you reached out it means a lot! I can definitely try to get a one shot done for you! Since Inky and I tend to write Reader Insert I can totally keep all of what you requested but might not name drop specifically who you asked.
It'll still have everything else though. And I will say with college being at the height of stress and no time to write it might be a bit before I can get to your request.

Stalker Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Series Warnings: Stalker, Violence
The stale air of the hospital still stung your nose even as Jason ushered you inside his apartment. The adrenaline of things had long since run its course out of your body allowing you to remain in a constant state of pain awareness.
The doctors and nurses had strongly advised you taking some pain meds and anti-anxiety meds, but you’d simply refused. Of course, they still sent them home with you, but Jason wasn’t about to force them down your throat if you didn’t want to be drugged up to cloud nine.
Carefully you lowered yourself down into the comfort of Jay’s couch as he shed his jacket by the door. The look of concern, self-blame, and hate had yet to vacate his eyes and you hated yourself for that.
Hated that he was tearing himself up over something that wasn’t even his fault.
Setting back you adjusted, mindful to not jar yourself in a way that’d let your pain truly show, Jay didn’t need to stress more than he already was.
Exhaling you gave him a small smile, “You seem awfully stuck near the door, Red.”
Jason’s expression tightened as he eyed you before taking deliberate steps away from the door. Your eyes trailed him as suddenly cut toward his connected bed and bathroom.
You let your head fall back against the couch as the sound of running water suddenly filled the void that’d taken residence in the air.
Tears pricked the back of your eyes at having to acknowledge the massive crater that’d opened between you and Jason tonight.
You and Jason had at one time sat down and had each talked about things you each weren’t proud of but still. Where Jason’s biggest secret and concern had been you knowing about Red Hood and that whole origin story you both were way past it being an issue.
You, on the other hand, had literally wiped any trace of yourself from your old life and ran from your hometown. That eventually became a constant topic of concern for Jason. He had wanted a name to hunt down and straighten out before it could catch up to you, but you’d held your lips tight on that.
You’d told him about the stalker incident but never wanted Jason to know about Brian. Had hoped Brian would get past you and leave you to be happy with Jason hundreds of miles away.
Of course, tonight had been the night that proved Jason right and left you feeling alienated from him.
You’d basically lied to him, and Jason had every right to be treating you with silent distance. You were convinced he already had plans to kick you out once you were back on your feet.
You didn’t even blame him.
Wiping at your eyes you pushed up from the couch and headed toward the door. There was no sense forcing him into your prolonged company after everything.
As your hand curled around the cool metallic door handle Jason’s hardwood floors creaked behind you.
“Where you doing, doll?” Jason’s voice was soft.
Your turned at the waist and had to swallow down the ball of emotion in your throat as you took in the sheer amount of concern and stress riddling his expression and form.
“Jay--”
Jason shook his head killing whatever you’d planned to say. Jason’s warm hand enclosed around yours and carefully peeled you away from the door into his arms.
As his warmth and unique scent, that had long ago started to represent safety and home wrapped around you, you lost your careful hold onto calm.
Tears for the second time that night came bursting to the surface to stain Jason’s shirt front a darker shade. Jason’s arms cinched a little tighter around you, but not enough to anger any of your injuries.
You felt Jason’s lips gently plant kisses against your head before he spoke, “Easy, Y/n. Breathe. You’re okay, just breathe for me. Focus on me, okay? Focus on right now.”
Several minutes ticked by of Jason continuing to murmur calming words and holding you before you could again inhale without needing to cry anymore.
You buried your forehead against his chest and inhaled steadily. Jason’s arms loosened around you before he positioned his hands against your upper arms.
Jason took a step back so that he could bend slightly to be at eye level.
“Better?” He asked carefully.
You nodded.
“Whatever was or is running around in that beautiful mind of yours right now needs to be turned down. The best way I can think to help you do that is to relax.”
“Jay--”
Jason dipped in until he was silencing you with a quick kiss.
“You can vent to me after if you want. Right now, though I have a little something for you.” Jason’s lips quirked up, “It involves you getting undressed--”
You shoved at him lightly with a roll of your eyes, “You’re ridiculous. Sex isn’t--”
Jason’s expression was of mock scolding, “Someone has a dirty mind. I never said anything about having sex, but I mean, if you--”
You shook your head with a laugh, “You’re something else, Todd.”
Jason’s expression softened as a sigh of relief left him, “There’s my girl.”
You looked at him questioningly for a moment.
“I’m sorry.” The words fell from your lips making Jason’s expression darken.
Jason cupped your face,“Do me a favor. Do not ever apologize because of some asshole that could have done who knows what to you if not kill you. Promise me that I will never have to hear you apologize for that scumbag again.”
You shook your head, “Just tell me you told me so.”
Jason flinched back slightly before his blue eyes lit with an understanding.
Jason exhaled harshly through his nose, “You think I’m really going to stand here and rub something like that in? That I of all people will hold it over your head that you just wanted to move on and forget the past? Jesus, Y/n if that’s the case if you really believe that then I think maybe we need to revisit my own fucked up past.”
Jason pulled you closer to him as his lips planted against your forehead, “That asshole got better than he deserved tonight after what he did to you. While I would love the chance to go back in time with the knowledge I know now and keep tonight from happening; I can’t. I can’t change that you didn’t want to tell me some things and I sure as hell am not going to hold that against you. Y/n my one and only concern now is the same one I always had. Keeping you safe.”
Your eyes slipped shut at his words.
“I’m really happy you threw a dude on me the night we met.”
Jason’s deep laugh suddenly filled the air around you both with a light and happiness that’d been absent since you’d both been outside your apartment.
Your eyes snapped back open at that thought, “Shit.”
Jason’s features became serious, “What?”
“The apartment. It’s trashed. I’m going to have to replace the door and--”
Jason made a weird face, “Are you for real right now?”
“What?” You snapped.
Jason rolled his eyes, “Listen tell your brain to slow its roll for like, I don’t know, a few days. I will take care of your apartment--”
“Jay--”
“I don’t want to hear it.” Jason shook his head, “I’ll have things cleaned up and replaced by tomorrow. Once that’s done I will go over and pack up all of your things. Either way by tomorrow night everything that’s not already here will soon be making a short trip from your old place. We’ve talked about you moving in for months, and after everything, it’s no longer a want but a massive need.”
You pouted for a moment, “Fine. Under one condition.
A dark brow lifted at your words, “Oh?”
“I want to go with you when you pack up my stuff.”
Jason made a face of disapproval, “I don’t think--”
You cut him off, “I really don’t want to be saturated in the environment where I just got my ass handed to me either, but I think it will be good. Better to do it now than later anyway.”
Jason’s jaw set into a hard line and you were almost convinced he was going to dig his heels in and fight you. His eyes though cured that thought as they peered at you with understanding.
You gave him a weak smile and that was all it took. Jason exhaled heavily as he rocked back on his heels.
“Fine.”
You made a face of victory before reaching up on your toes and pecking him with a kiss, “Thank you.”
“Uh huh.”
“Love you.”
Jason’s expression softened, “Ditto.”
As you reached up to brush a few dark strands from Jason’s eyes you stopped when pain ignited up along your side as you pulled at sore ribs.
A hiss of pain came from through your clenched teeth as Jason’s eyes raced to scan over your form. His hands carefully reached out to lay against your sides in an attempt to offer some sort of help.
“Okay, little warrior before you hurt yourself some more let’s get you cleaned up,” Jason spoke while rounding to your side and leading you toward the bathroom.
The sound of running water got louder as you neared the bathroom. As you and Jason entered the bedroom steam clouded the room and immediately had you releasing a sigh.
“You left the water running?” You asked with a chuckle.
Jason shrugged, “I hadn’t planned for us to share a Dr. Phil moment back there so yeah. Oh well, tile floors don’t warp so I could care less.”
Jason’s steps stopped, but you kept advancing forward for a moment until his hand stopped you. Turning toward him you found Jason once again donning a tight expression.
“Let me help you?” His quiet question was almost drowned by the running water.
Your eyes softened as you nodded at his request. A request you knew was more than just him wanting to help, but to prove to himself again that you were okay. If he could touch you, be grounded by you, then Jason could let himself breathe a little easier.
Jason padded closer as his fingers gently curled under the hem of your torn shirt. The slight very rare tremor of Jason’s hands nearly had you breaking down once more.
Your hands easily lifted to wrap around his while he worked the shirt upwards over your head. The pace he set was achingly slow. Your clothes inching off you in a way that differed so much from how Jay might do things when making love to you.
As your shirt fell to the floor Jason started to process of helping you step from your jeans. Your fingers clenched against Jay’s shoulders as he peeked up at you, his eyes burning with a mass of things.
Cutting your eyes away Jason slowly rose to his feet before gently cupping your features. His lips softly planted against your head.
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” His soft words had you nodding simply.
One of Jason’s hands curled around your own before he was carefully leading you toward the tub. The sounds of your feet splashing wetly against the floor filled the silence before it returned.
Bracing both sides of the tub you carefully lowered yourself. A sigh that morphed into a quick hiss left your lips as the hot bubbly water enveloped you.
Your ribs felt ten times better as you sank down further into the tub. Even the tight uncomfortable feeling resonating from the several abrasions and bruises you’d suffered felt better.
Jason gave a slight laugh, “Feel better I take it?”
“Oh yes.” You sighed.
Your eyes closed as you concentrated on just the warmth the bath offered. A few heartbeats passed before your eyes reopened to find Jason still wandering around the bathroom.
Your brows furrowed, “I’m not going to drown.”
Jason shook his head, “I believe you. I’m not leaving though, I have a few things to still do.”
Before you could ask what he meant Jason was turning around with your hair products in hand.
“Jay you really don’t need to do that. Running the bath was more than enough.” You spoke quietly as he sat on his knees behind the tub.
“I know I don’t have to do anything, but I want to. I am going to do this. I’ve spoiled you in many other ways, and this is just another.” Jason spoke casually while filling his hand with shampoo.
Before you could protest further he was leaning over to silence you with a kiss.
“Just enjoy, Y/n.”
Inhaling deeply you decided to just go with it. Leaning your head back against the edge of the tub Jason easily massaged shampoo into your hair.
His fingers gently scrubbing your scalp making your eyes heavier. Making the pain evaporate with his touch as he buried the horrors of the night. Jason began softly humming to himself as he worked the sound hushing your tired mind even further.
As he rinsed your hair and moved onto the next step you suddenly felt a smile lifting to your lips.
“What’s that smile for?” He asked.
“Just you.” You answered simply.
You felt Jason shrug as his hands suddenly shifted back and forth in your hair. It wasn’t much longer before he was pulling away as he finished.
“I’ll get you a towel, hang on,” Jason spoke while getting up and heading toward the nearby cabinet.
Hitting the drain switch you carefully rose to your feet only to freeze as you spotted your reflection in the fogged mirror. While the sight before you wasn’t all the surprising being able to finally see the damage you shivered.
Jason suddenly filled your view, his wide shoulders shielding the mirror. You dropped your hand into Jason’s as he helped you out of the tub before wrapping you into a towel.
“I think I can manage this part myself, Dr. Thick.” You joked.
Jason made a face before turning on his heel, “Come lay on the bed when you feel more dried off.”
“I need my clothes, Jay.” You called after him.
Jason peeked his head back through the bathroom door. A wicked smile lifted his lips, “Nah. I have one more thing planned that will only be hindered by clothes.”
“What--”
“Dry off and come find out.” Jason’s teasing tone was coupled by his suggestive eyebrow movements.
You shook your head as he left, “You are something.”
Curiosity filled your mind and did well to distract you. Trading the wet towel from a dry on you walked into the bedroom. Jason had taken the time to quickly trade his clothes for just a pair of old sweats.
While you were no stranger to Jay’s body it still left you in awe. Even with his scars, Jason was a beautiful man, and that was more than just on the physical plain.
You watched him jump up from the edge of the bed before theatrically motioning toward the bed. You laughed at his antics before sitting on the king bed.
“Roll onto your stomach, and let the towel go,” Jason spoke close to your ear his hot breath making you shiver.
Silently you followed his directions and flipped to your belly. Resting your hands below your cheek you peeked at him over your shoulder.
“Close those beautiful e/c eyes for me, next.”
Again you followed his simple command. As your eyes slid shut the exhaustion that you’d been fighting back lurched forward. The feel of Jay’s bed sheets against your skin gained a new level of softness like never before.
Your focus on the simple comforts was increased as Jason’s strong hands suddenly ghosted against your skin. Slowly his actions gained a little more pressure as he easily worked tension free.
Another sigh left your lips, “How did I ever get lucky enough to deserve you?”
You felt Jason stop for a fleeting second before he kept on. His heated hands seared a relaxing path down your back heading toward your legs.
“We deserve each other because life, I think, finally realized it's fucked us over enough.” Jason kissed your lower back as his hands kneaded your calves.
You hummed in the negative as sleep clawed at you, “Well, I’m glad life gave me you then. I landed the man-pot.”
Jason snorted a laugh at your groggy words, “Man-pot?”
You nodded, “Like the jackpot but with dudes.”
“I am quite the catch,” Jason said cockily making you smile sleepily.
Jason’s hands worked on massaging one of your feet while your hold on consciousness weaker. You missed whatever Jason said next as you slipped into a deep sleep.
