Hi! Writing from my vacation spot <3 Thank you all so very much for constantly supplying me with this much love and support! It means the world to me!

That last attack was the worst one yet, at least for me and my loved ones. One of the key targets Russia has chosen was located just 1.5 kilometers from my home. It hadn't even worked properly for years, but I doubt these terrorists care about it, they just needed to hit something.

The attack went on from 9 pm to 6 am. 28 people died in my city, the last time I checked. One of the missiles hit the apartment complex; from what I heard, out of everyone living there, only 2 people, 9 cats, and some birds survived - our local heroes managed to dig them out on time.

The most discouraging thing is that we know it's only going to get worse, as Russia keeps amassing drones and missiles for its terrorist attacks, and the countries that could make it pause don't give a damn about it. I think this decision has terrible long-term consequences for other smaller countries, but then the world has never been a nice, fair, or logical place.

From better, more personal news, I'm really enjoying my vacation! Things have been mostly quiet, the nature is beautiful, and I got to sleep for a couple of days straight. Now I'm ready to fully dedicate myself to writing!

Two days ago, I was lying on the floor in my hallway, listening to drones and missiles flying overhead. More than once during that night, I thought, 'This is it, I'm going to die now'

More than 20 people died that night and the emergency services are still recovering bodies.

But today, I'm celebrating the fact that I passed my driving exam and got my driving license. Because no matter how much you were scared the night before or how there's a constant unending flood of tragedies around you, you have to keep on living.

The thing I noticed a lot of people from non-postsoviet countries don't understand and frankly don't care about is the importance of NOT calling the Soviet Union just Russia and soviet citizens just russians. Because it wasn't just Russia, it was a multicultural state with lots of nationalities in it and after the collapse of the USSR they all finally gained independence. It was not just russians who fought Nazis in the WW2, it was not Russia that were destroyed and exploited by them the most.

You don't call the whole European Union just Germany or France or whatever because it's not, it's a union (that also acts like a union and not like a totalitarian regime that suppresses all the national identities and forces on everyone just one specific identity that it deems to be superior).

By calling USSR Russia people enable and support russian narrative of all the countries that were a part of the Soviet Union being also a part of Russia. Which is not fucking true and is actually the driving force behind the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

So please be mindful of what you say.

two years ago on june 6th russia blew up the Kahovka dam, causing a flood that killed and displaced a lot of ukrainians, and destroyed the environment, causing an ecological catastrophe.

i still remember how i felt when i saw these news that day. i tried to find places where i could donate to help, but the very pressing fact was the silence from the western countries on this event. either silence or outright doubt of how it happened. i remember it scaring me and sending me into shock; would they not care if something worse than this happened?

please be the voice for ukrainian people when the media goes silent like this. it is important.

Then how the fuck is Ukraine supposed to obtain any "cards" (i.e. leverage at the negotiation table)?

By giving russians everything they want? Well, that's simply impossible because all they want is for Ukraine to cease to exist entirely. It's not about any particular regions - they demand dismantling of the Ukrainian armed forces so that they can swallow Ukraine whole. No amount of seizing territory is going to satisfy russia while Ukraine exists as an independent state.

So if you hear this "escalation bad!! russia must be appeased to achieve peace" rhetoric from anyone - know that they're lying to you. Because there are no concessions from Ukraine that would make russia leave Ukraine alone.

Now trump says that poor kindhearted putin, who previously wasn't giving orders to bomb Ukrainian cities day and night, will be forced to retaliate. Now killing of civilians and destroying purely civilian infrustructure will be completely justified and understandable. I mean, have you seen those little innocent warplanes? Violated like that by barbaric Ukraine for no reason at all.

But that same trump was quacking about "no cards" in Ukrainian hands. How on earth is Ukraine supposed to get these cards, huh? If not by showing force and hitting russia where it hurts? Oh, that's right, Ukraine is supposed to roll over and take it like a good victim.
