Today when I was sitting in the cafe next to me a kid started jumping. It's a common situation, maybe a little annoying. But I started to choke. I had to grab onto my sweatshirt because I thought I was going to suffocate. Because the noise was remotely reminiscent of rockets exploding.

When I was 7 I thought "Why me?". "Why did I have to go through this, why did I have to leave home and live in fear, why was I deprived of everything just for being who I am?". Now I'm 17 and I'm thinking, "Why us? What did we all do to deserve this?" And the answer is always the same, always painfully direct and heartbreaking. Nothing. None of us did anything to deserve it. No one deserves it, no one should wake up to the sound of explosions and lie there thinking that if that missile hits your house, at least you'll be free from this hell. And no one deserves to go through that because they were just born. That they're just who they are, and they're proud of it.

To realise that this is now happening in more than one or two countries, and to more than one nationality is even worse. That people cannot understand and accept that EVERY nationality has the right to exist, to be in its own land with its own rights.

I know that on this account I don't repost a lot of stuff about Gaza, Ukraine or other countries. This is because most of the time I am in a state of detachment from reality, and it can be too painful to go back. But that doesn't mean I don't care. I try to do what I can, and I beg you to do the same if possible. Just a couple of reposts can already mean a lot, a little money can save someone's life, not supporting Russian authors and brands supporting Israel can lessen the pain just a little. But it will mean the world to those who are now struggling for their existence.

one of the biggest man-made environmental disaster in decades!

the Kakhovka HPP is completely destroyed and can’t be restored.

water continues to flood Kherson, Nova Kakhovka and other cities and towns, taking lives and destroying Ukrainian ecology;

over 200,000 residents of surrounding settlements lost access to drinking water;

there is a threat of nuclear disaster due to possible cooling issues at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant;

over 150 tons of machine oil have contaminated the Dnipro River. there is risk of a further 300+ tons leaking;

river water drifts russian mines, they detonate in the flooding zones.

regardless, thousands of animals, both wild and domestic, affected by this flooding. Ukrainians save everyone they can find. the search for animals and people continues for the second day.

the scale of this terrorist act is difficult to predict. it threatens hundreds of thousands of lives — flooding will continue for at least another 4 days. international organizations created to save people and animals in such cases do not respond. Ukrainians were left alone for the second day in a row with a large-scale disaster!

please do not be indifferent, spread information, reliable information from the Ukrainians who are experiencing this catastrophe in real-time. do not believe russian propaganda, support Ukraine and Ukrainians in our battle for life!

As y'all know I've been having trouble getting a good night's sleep

I was gonna go to bed earlier last night, got super ready and comfortable to finally sleep when BAM an air raid siren blares because ruzzians decided to fire missiles at Ukraine. Just my fucking luck.

It got real loud in Kyiv at around 4-5 AM but somehow I did manage to sleep through some of it. Tho initial explosions as a result of missiles being shot down did scare me.

Just popping up out of nowhere to remind that nazi state Russia is still committing war crimes and is trying to exterminate Ukrainians. The whole holiday week we’ve been shelled and bombarded on the daily basis.

Today Russians launched 122 missiles and dozens of drones on Ukraine. As of now, 150+ people are injured, 31 found dead.

I woke up in the early morning to the sound of the explosion and the feel of the shockwave.

Meanwhile everyone on TikTok is happily listening to the trendy oldschool Russian song and posting “Slavic girl” challenge.

And all of this doesn’t get as much attention anymore, cause people get used to everything with time, and Israeli-Palestinian war is what’s ‘it’ now.

That’s such a fucking bullshit. After 2 years since the beginning of full scale invasion I am losing hope bit by bit.

Two years ago, russian atrocities in Bucha were discovered.

The russians tortured and killed over 440 people in one small suburban town. More Ukrainians were killed in Bucha alone than russians in the whole 140 mln 🇷🇺 were pressed with criminal charges for “protesting war”.

in addition to old photos of the Ukrainian family who owned this camera and several photos of the russians themselves, the journalists found a terrible video showing the russians capturing civilians, blindfolding them, tying them all together and chaining them up. adults, children and animals.

important clarification: this video was not shot on the camera mentioned in the message. that camera stolen by the russians just belongs to the residents of the village in the video!

💔 A Ukrainian poet and soldier, Maksym Kryvtsov, was killed by Russians at the front. He first volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014. After the full-scale Russian invasion began in 2022, he returned to its ranks to defend Ukraine.

Just yesterday, Maksym posted a photo with his new poetry book called "Poems from the loophole". It was recognised by PEN Ukraine, an NGO protecting freedom of speech and authors' rights, as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023.

Shortly before his death, Maksym also posted a photo with his ginger cat on Instagram. The cat, to whom he had dedicated a poem, died with him.

Russia keeps killing Ukrainian poets and trying to destroy our culture. The evil must be held accountable for every crime, every life, and every word taken away.
