In the middle of Deltarune chapter 4 and?

Asgore is the closest person to the Holiday family. As in chapter 1 and 2 Noelle mentions how Kris hasn't been close to her for a while. Most likely after Asgore and Toriel fallout. He gives flowers to Rudolph and tends to Carol's garden.

Meanwhile Toriel spilled her drink on Rudolph when he joked around too hard. In the flashback in chapter 3 Asgore leaves after Carol and Dess. Noelle doesn't come over and Rudolph hanged around for a little but in the end it was just Asriel, Kris, and Toriel.

He seems so hanged up on the thought of Asriel coming home would fix things but it wasn't exactly the case as Asriel was still there when he left or Toriel kicked him out.

He is blinded to Kris. All those trophies Asriel has. The favourite child? It's only Asgore's favourite.

I just finished chapter 3 of Deltarune

I love how we are getting closer and closer to knowing what this all ties to. At the first chapter of the game, the fans seriously couldn't distinguish Deltarune as a stand-alone game. Theories involved undertale and the focus on the main game was lacking. As they couldn't make theories out of so little context that was in chapter 1. Chapter 2 came out after and it introduced more about the prophecy. Noelle who plays a huge role in the snowgrave route. Also the underlying reason why she is important to the story. Now after ending chapter 3, it was a fun break from all the chaos, but it ended in knowing the dynamic of Kris's household and life. In the end this is a story about Kris. I don't think the prophecy is as important as we explore more about them with each chapter. Can't wait to play chapter 4!
