Aunque dije que iba a dejar de dibujar por completo, con el fin de enfocarme más en la universidad, todavía me encuentro a mí misma garabateando en los costados de mi hoja cada que me aburro de las clases.

Sin embargo, cada vez que agarro el lápiz para dibujar “algo más serio”, me estreso mucho. Probablemente porque tengo altas expectativas para mi nivel real de arte y eso provoca que me frustre mucho al momento de mirar el resultado final.

Soy consciente de que no dibujo mal ni mediocre, tengo un nivel aceptable para varios que han opinado sobre mi arte. No obstante, todavía no es semejante a lo que me suelo imaginar antes de agarrar el lápiz. Es frustrante, porque eso significa que tengo una falta de habilidad que, por mucho que practique, no soy capaz de superar.

Eso hace que de forma instantánea me lleguen las dudas: ¿acaso no seré tan buena como he pensado? ¿Acaso todo mi esfuerzo ha sido en vano? ¿Los años que he dedicado a practicar y evolucionar no han servido de nada?

Llevo ya casi 8 años en esto, si las matemáticas no me fallan también. Esto ha de ser poco comparado a lo que otros artistas de la comunidad probablemente invirtieron en mejorar, pero eso todavía no evita que esté cansada de correr hacia una meta que nomas no parece llegar nunca.

No importa que “tan buena”, que “tan talentosa” o que “tan buena artista” me digan que sea, siempre siento que me falta algo. Más rapidez, más técnica, más práctica, más conocimiento, más experiencia, más de todo.

Y si bien sé que eso debería alentarme a continuar, en los últimos meses no ha hecho más que desmotivarme. Puede que sea a causa de mi depresión y como ha mellado muchos aspectos míos en los últimos dos años. O puede que solo esté cansada de intentar y esto no sea para mí…

Sin embargo —siempre hay un “sin embargo”—, no puedo evitar cuestionarme si debería perseverar más, si me falta practicar solo un poco más para alcanzar la meta que estoy buscando desesperadamente desde hace muchos años.

Aparte de ser dibujante, también soy escritora y este mismo tipo de dudas se extrapolan a mi trabajo sobre las letras. También he pensado dejarlo, dije que iba a dejar de escribir, pero siempre vienen a mi cabeza ideas buenas para párrafos o pequeñas narraciones sobre mis historias, que termino por apuntar algún lugar de mis notar personales.

Puede que una buena parte de mis dudas vengan también en parte por mi tendencia al perfeccionismo. Si no es maravilloso, si no es deslumbrante, si no es lo mejor de lo mejor, no tiene sentido continuarlo o acabarlo. No tiene sentido siquiera intentarlo, porque si siempre soy mediocre en lo que hago, ¿por qué debería arruinar una buena idea con mi falta de habilidad?

I have a spidersona, by the way! Her name is Ishbel Posada, she is 32 years old and married to her MJ, Martin Joel. A detail to note is that she became deaf after the cure to her disease! However, she doesn't like to wear hearing aids because she gets overstimulated too much;;; She prefers to be guided by the vibrations she feels, as she is sensitive to vibrations in the environment, just like spiders! Belongs to the extinct Earth-1943. “—Well, let's do this one last time, shall we? My name is Ishbel Nara Posada. You know, I had a similar theory about it. Or, at least, an idea of something like that going around in my head.

It's just that, although it doesn't seem like it, when you check more in detail, there are similarities between anime and manga. Maybe not in the most explicit way, but at least there is a similarity of concepts.

For example, Ciel and the servants visiting a secluded town that is said to be apparently cursed -Houndsworth in the anime and Green Witch Village in the manga-. Elizabeth being kidnapped -by Drossel Keinz, who looks a bit like Joker, in the anime and by Undertaker and R!Ciel in the manga).

Ciel being framed for something that ends up making them fugitives from the law -for alleged drug dealing in the anime and for impersonation in the manga.

The second season also has tidbits that could well have been Yana's base ideas.

My theory on this is that, having worked on the anime in 2009, Yana used it as a place to explore ideas she wanted to touch on in the manga. Let's say that she used the anime as a place to capture pre-concepts that she would later polish and show them in the manga :P

Es que, aunque no parezca, cuando revisas más a detalle, sí hay similitudes entre el anime y el manga. Tal vez no de la forma más explícita, pero al menos sí hay una similitud de conceptos.

Por ejemplo, Ciel y los sirvientes visitando un pueblo apartado que se dice, está aparentemente maldito —Houndsworth en el anime y la Aldea de la Bruja Verde en el manga—. Elizabeth siendo secuestrada —por Drossel Keinz, que se parece un poco a Joker, en el anime y por Undertaker y R!Ciel en el manga).

Ciel siendo intriminado por algo que los termina volviendo profugo de la ley —por supuesto tráfico de drogas en el anime y por la suplatanción de identidad en el manga—.

La segunda temporada también tiene cosillas que bien podrían haber sido las ideas base de Yana.

Mi teoría al respecto es que, al haber trabajado en el anime en 2009, Yana lo uso como un sitio para explorar ideas que quería tocar en el manga. Digamos que uso el anime como un lugar donde plasmar pre-conceptos que más tarde puliría y los mostraría en el manga :P

BLACK BUTLER SPOILERS

Is black butler season two foreshadowing the current canon plot?

(Not proofread, this is short, I'll go more in depth and fact check information later.)

I've noticed a lot of similarities in black butler season two, and the current manga plot.

The getting accused of a crime and running from the police is the exact current situation Ciel is in, and from a season two OVA, the Alice in the wonderland episodes, I recall a scene where Ciel is being judged in a court like manner, and Lizzy, Madame Red, His parents I believe, are also present, It's all the exact same. Compare it to the recent scene where He's breaking through and running to Sebastian, he did the exact same thing in the Alice in wonderland episode.

In season one if I recall correctly, Sebastian quit serving him in a way because Ciel had forgotten himself, a similar thing happened in the Emerald witch arc. I completely agree with what people have been saying, Season Two might be more connected to the current plot then people choose to acknowledge.

So, au medieval? Well, that was the idea, but I went off the deep end while making the plot. So now it's supposed to be a medieval-fantasy au (if that makes any sense). The plot goes something like this:

“A great contest has been organized in the kingdom and the winner will take the hand of the princess in marriage. Reluctant to marry, Edhel has asked his royal guard to enter the competition and win. Sevika, who is very fond of the princess despite not showing it, cannot deny his pleas and decides to enter the contest.”

So, I saw that concept art of Sevika with glasses and my head imagines her in “ineffable gay” situations if you know what I mean 👀😭
