The build ups, the element of show not tell, was used brilliantly in this scene.

An impassive but "personable" android makes acquaintance with an effusive, ebullient twink. I know I haven't got the likenesses quite right but my goal here was more to capture those contrasting traits conveyed so beautifully in that screenshot.

Someone on IG shared this with me 5 years ago and I'd forgotten all about it until I reblogged the art with Data in stockings and high heels. IMO this has strikingly similar vibes and yes makes me think Data’s a whore for Riker lmao. Unfortunately, I don't know who the artist is, I've tried searching this image on Google but no joy (ditto IG, Tumblr, Deviantart, etc) so I can't credit them. However if they are out there, I'll gladly name check them in this post.
