Across Africa, from Sudan to DRC to Sahel, deadly conflicts rage on with millions displaced - yet they rarely trend.

In China, Uyghurs and other minorities face oppression that gets little international outcry.

Iranian women still protest at great personal risk, but the world has moved on.

I don't say this to compare suffering or diminish any cause. All injustice matters. But our attention shouldn't be dictated by algorithms or geopolitics. Real people are living through these crises every single day.

If you'd like to help balance the narrative: • Follow local journalists • Share stories that aren't going viral • Remind others these crises still exist

This isn't about guilt - just awareness. As someone from an often-overlooked region myself, I know how it feels when the world stops paying attention to your pain.
