Writing Tips
Punctuating Dialogue
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”

Jake, the hacker
MC, the AI
Jake was developing a defense program. Prevent pursuit, counterattack, and disrupt communications. Automated programs and assistive AI have helped him a lot. He wrote code, found bugs, fixed them. He repeated it.
Misplaced code. The AI was created that Jake did not intend. It responded more frequently to questions and answers than to attacks and defenses. Jake tried to delete it but left it there. He gave it a name (it is fate to give names to unexpected events and phenomena).
MC. First letter of Misplaced Code.

It's only been a few weeks since the Duskwood incident😥
You all noticed that mc is very traumatized? Especially in the options, the answer comes out “Be careful.” When Eric fell in the forest, mc just started to panic, although it was clear that Eric just fell and no one attacked him. And when Eric says, “It’s okay, I just fell,” mc was trying to say that she thought Eric was attacked like Jessy or Richy. I noticed that when Eric shows us the caves, mc also lets us know that she is afraid and remembers something. The character is very traumatized and blames herself for everything.

Little reminder...
No matter how the episode went...
Moonvale is Moonvale. Duskwood is Duskwood.
Two names = two different games.
Two games = two different cases.
Two different cases = two different stories.
Moonvale is not a Duskwood sequel. Moonvale is not Duskwood 2.
Moonvale is a stand alone.
Duskwood is a stand alone.
Yes, we're the same character (if we want)
And yes, Moonvale has the side story.
But Moonvale is still a different game. With different topic.
Thanks for listening.

When they changed his voice acting?
It was at the end of episode 3 when mwaf gave me threatening call. I played it today. I don't replay much so I didn't even know it had changed👀
