Pansy Parkinson’s patronus was a flamingo. She didn’t discover it until years later after the war was over. A unfortunate meeting with a dementor in Shanghai while on holiday.

She was quite shaken up, Pansy hadn’t encountered a dementor since her second year of Hogwarts and that was on a train. She digressed, Pansy remembered teasing Potter about those bloody awful things. The shoe was now on the other foot.

Immediately she owled Millicent Bulstrode. Millicent was an instructor to combat healers but was currently away in Japan. Millie responded that she’d be in London within two weeks on break.

This information made its way to the ears to friends Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy. Over lunch they fussed at Pansy in their own caring way.

Millicent the last to arrive asked a burning question that was secretly on her mind for years. “

Do you know how to cast the patronus charm?”

Astoria Greengrass, Draco’s fiancee who was in attendance, also wondered as well.

Pansy dropped her fork, Draco and went red.

“I’ll take that as a no then” muttered Millicent.

“Really!?” Excitedly exclaimed Astoria.

“Have you two at least tried?” Blaise now highly intrigued.

“I - thought wasn’t able to do it to begin with,” Draco mumbled.

“What about you Astoria?”

“I learned how produce a corporeal patronus from Tracey. She secretly taught a few of us at Hogwarts when Umbridge was there.”

“What form does it take?”

“A scorpion. I ran away when it first appeared because all we saw were many legs.” Initially I thought was a lobster.

“Can you cast a patronus Blaise?”

“It’s a serval cat” he stated matter of factly.

“Mine’s a Narwhal.” Daphne joined the table. “Apologies for running late Meg and I were planning Terry’s surprise birthday celebration.”

“Tell Jones and Boot I said I hello.” nodded Blaise.

“Will do, so what this I hear about the patronus charm?”

“Draco and Pansy never learned how to cast it.”

“I wonder if Nott knew how to conjure one?”

Yes, It’s a magical creature" Daphne shrugged.

“They can be magical?”

“Yes, but that’s pretty rare.”

“Right then, I guess I’ll have to teach you both.” Millicent clapped her hands together.

“I beg your pardon Bulstrode?”

“That’s Professor Bulstrode, Parkinson and Malfoy.”

“Have you lost your mind Millie!?” Pansy shuffled in her seat.

“Oh for heaven sake’s you all are not Raczidian, maggots aren’t going to spring forth from your fucking wands!”

‘Next week noon sharp we’ll start lessons. I don’t like tardiness. Astoria you’ll make sure they’ll be there?“

"Yes ma'am.”

Blaise smirked. “Looks like you two are the odd ones out.”

“You find this amusing don’t you Zabini.”

“Always.”

“Oh my god.”

“Merlin that’s funny and interesting.”

“What is it?” whimpered Pansy as she placed her hand over her eyes.

Daphne doubled over with laughter.

Birds. Two big flightless birds.

Waddling over towards Draco in a haze of silvery light was a penguin. An emperor penguin to be exact. Draco’s mouth agape as he looked at the odd bird.

“Looks very gentlemanly and distinguished.” Astoria kissed Draco on the check.

Daphne snorted.

“So my assumption was partly incorrect.” Blaise handed Millicent twenty galleon.

Daphne pulled out her mobile.

“Who are calling?”

“Tracey of course.”

A squawk, made Pansy jump, the orithid had stick like legs and a large down turned beak. If it had been a real bird its plumage would have been a beauteous rosey color.

“Its a flamingo Pansy uncover you eyes.”

“A what!?”

neville longbottom/theodore nott headcanon

theodore nott never imagined he could fulfil his wishes of becoming a mediwizard, but when he did, it felt like he was living for the first time

(even if he hated, hated, the colour lime green of the mediwizard robe)

st mungo was busy and huge, bustling with energy and people walking around and theo never felt so much at ease, not even at hogwarts

the floor of artefact accidents or creature-induced injuries was the one which got most of the attention, so everyone was surprised when theo said he would rather work into the spell damages one

one of the mediwizards seemed surprised, but then shrugged saying that miriam strout always needed a hand with the long-term patients

“bloody hell, no one wants to work at the janus thickey ward, with all the nutcases” theo heard someone said, as the moved to the next floor

but theodore nott didn’t care

he had heard several things about miriam strout, and motherly, really seemed to do the cut

she was happy to have him there, and if the name nott said something negative to her, she at least managed not to let it show

the first weeks were just learning about the routines of the floor, and particularly of the ward

theo tried to remember all the patients names and the reason why they were there, the little quirks, things that made them feel at ease, the small things that made theo, despite everything, caring and patient in the same way strout was

theo saw neville with his parents three weeks after his training started, he was talking to them animatedly, holding his mother’s hand, while his father’s eyes seemed lost in the distance, and theo felt a tug in his chest

they had never talked during their time at hogwarts, why would they, so theo felt kind of nervous, like he was intruding, when strout sent him to talk with neville about the news of the treatment

neville was surprised to see him there, his father’s fame was going to follow him everywhere even years after the battle of hogwarts, but theo was trying really hard to distance himself from the ‘solitary son of the earliest death eaters’ fame

but it was still awkward to say the least, theo was holding papers and was reading them slowly, looking at neville’s eyes for a fragment of a second before looking down again, and neville just didn’t really think the son of a death eater could be suitable and trustworthy for the work of a healer

“i’m sorry but, it’s just surprising you decided to become a mediwizard” neville said with a shrug, and he wished he didn’t say anything, when he saw the flash of hurt in theo’s eyes “i’m not my father” he replied curtly, clutching awkwardly the papers he was holding in his hand “sorry, i never intended to say you were”

the next week, it was sprout the one who talked with neville instead

after a few months, theo got used to the work in the fouth floor, and he helped sprout every time he was needed

(once, he healed harry after a few stupefy spells that went wrong in one of his auror missions, and when draco came over to visit, it was the first time he hugged theo, in years)

and he was making an improvement with the patients at the ward, too, especially with neville’s parents

miriam strout always reminded him that to cure them, and restore their minds to where they were before the spells was impossible, but that they could make their lives as comfortable as liveable as they could, and theo lived by those words

neville always visited once a week, on sunday, and stayed for hours, talking and talking and theo found harder and harder not to stare at him when he did

he knew the other was still wary of him, but theo thought that maybe he could prove him wrong

their talks were less awkward, after six months of weekly reports, as theo told him the little details that went better, that he played wizard’s chess with his father and he completed two moves

one time, when they were talking, neville’s mother came to them, with one of the candy wrappings she used to give to neville since he was a child, but instead, he gave it to theo, who smiled warmly at her. “oh, thank you” to neville’s surprise, theo didn’t throw it away, but he stored it in one of his pockets of his robe, and looked at him sheepishly, with a shrug. “i am starting to grow a collection.”

it was that exact moment when neville thought theo was much nicer that he gave him credit for

autumn rolled into winter, holidays and a new year, and before he noticed, theo made one year anniversary since he started to work at the floor of spell damages

miriam sprout didn’t report to neville anymore, and somehow, their talks got more and more personal as the time passed by

the snow was melting off the trees and the windows of the st mungo’s hospital when theo almost dropped the papers he was holding, as neville asked him if he was free one day, for dinner

“are you asking me for a date?” he was dumbfounded, like it was impossible and too good to be true he was asked out “you’re not your father” neville simply said, with a knowingly smile, sweet, that went straight to his eyes, and theo felt another tug in his chest “i’m not”

some weeks later, neville discovered theo had been storing all the caramel wrappings his mother had given him in a clear crystal jar on the counter of his kitchen

Theodore Nott x Luna Lovegood | LOVENOTT 💙💚

rowan khanna (they/them + into guys): had a big crush on bill. after realising they do not stand a chance, they kept their head down. until they get closer with ben, who they slowly develop feelings for

ben copper (he/him + straight): does not have a crush on anyone and does not realise rowan wants something from him, so he stays by himself

penny haywood (she/her + bi): is really into talbott and he knows it, but he does not want to officially date her, because of all the attention they would be getting

bill weasley (he/him + straight): did not fall in love with anyone during his time in hogwarts, after this super weird crush on emily tyler

nymphadora tonks (she/they + bi): is not interested in dating at all, though she likes to set other people up

tulip karasu (she/her + gay): although she is such a troublemaker, she is having a crush on badeea. what can i say: opposites attract

barnaby lee (he/they + bi): was not interested in dating until MC told him about her crush on him. they went to the celestial together and on a couple of dates, but it did not last for more than a year

andre egwu (he/him + gay): had a little crush on jae at the beginning of his first year, but after visiting his first quidditch match he fell in love with this voice and soon after with his owner

diego caplan (he/him + ???): not really into dating either, although there are a lot of people interested in him

talbott winger (he/him + straight): feels a deep connection with penny, but is too insecure to have a public relationship. but after some months they figure it out and are a couple for at least three years

skye parkin (she/her + bi): does not have a lot of time for dating since she is very invested in quidditch and yet she develops feelings for chiara

murphy mcnully (he/him + gay): is very much in love with andre since year one

orion amari (he/they + bi): is either way too out-spaced for dating or in a relationship with someone his age. i do thinks he prefers girls, but who am i to say

chiara lobosca (she/they + gay): was not into dating until they noticed skye flirting with them, she is head over heels since then

merula snyde (she/her + bi): had a crush on diego, but gave up after realising he is not into her, she tries to remain friends with him, so maybe one day something will happen. until year six at least, where by the looks of it merula develops feeling for exchange student alanza alves

year one: starts falling in love with barnaby after not so long, they date by the end of the year

year two: in the middle of the year, barnaby and MC break up
