The Damned Twin of The Twin Paradox

The story goes: A pair of twins, A & B, join an experiment. A stays, and B goes somewhere and returns to A. Since moving objects age slower, B should be younger than A at the end of the experiment. But B can claim that it is not moving, and it is A that is moving, so A should be younger. So which is it?

The Standard Explanation: B accelerates, A doesn’t. During acceleration, B sees A age a lot.

Deeper Explanation: Remove acceleration, remove the twins. From object A’s perspective, object A and object B are at the same place. B and C are moving towards each other with zero acceleration. A synchronises 2 clocks and gives 1 to B. When B and C meet, B gives C the clock. When C and A meet, C gives A the clock. The travelling clock will display less time has elapsed than A’s clock. This is because the travelling clock has multiple frames while A only has one. From A’s, B’s, C’s, and everything else’s perspective, A only has 1 frame and the travelling clock has multiple.

The End… 

…EXCEPT NOT! The Paradox Still Holds!

The deeper explanation ignores the most important perspective, the travelling clock’s perspective. From its perspective, it only has 1 frame, and it is A, B, C, and the rest of the universe which has multiple perspectives. The deeper explanation kept focus on A but reduces B to a mere clock. Not only that, it also ignores twin B’s perspective. 

Twin B is doomed to never have their perspective be taken seriously.
