The helicopters use exclusively danmaku and spellcards, but they have advantages too: - helicopters can strafe - they can move faster than the turret of the tank and strike at any direction - they can fire from the direction of the sun. - they are more recent and have better range Still, an air assault sortie is good for practice on both sides!

It's time those tank fairies met some other (similar) military danmaku hardware! You hear that thumping in the air? That's the sound of Lorno's attack helicopters.

Notable issues with attack helicopters:

Slower than aircraft, thus, easier to hit.Sustained noise, trees make it easy to determine the direction.Tanks have machine guns mounted on the tops and rears to help defend against strike planesThese tanks are following the spellcard rules, are you?

She buzzed excitedly, imagining someone actually using her helis to fly.

“Oh no, I-I don’t think I’m cute at all, not as… cute as the other pets or Lady Satori, but thank you… The most cutest of the pets would be one of the dogs, it’s really fluffy, b-but… nice to meet you.”

“As for my name, I’m Eri… Eri Philomele… It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lorno. I’m just a simple pet from Chireiden, but… what about you? Y-You dress funny.“

“Oh...”  The dragonfly looked tremendously disappointed, then she smiled, “Well, that just makes you another fairy then, doesn’t it?  I have a policy for fairies.”

Her rifle made a clicking sound as she turned the safety off.

“’cause, ya see, I really hate fairies.  They break up planes.  Pilots call em gremlins.  So, I vowed ta avenge every fallen plane by showin those fairies a great big burst of Danmaku.”

Her eyes have gone wider.  “You know of America?  Are you from America?!”

She looks like she could be really happy, just begging for Clownpiece to say yes.  Her hands also seem to be gripping that rifle very tightly.

How my characters make friends...

Clark: Watch people from afar, brood, cause nightmares, mess with them.

Lorno: Tremble in fear and suck up to them.  Unless they are a fairy.  Then you shoot them.

Professor Trost and v2: Kick in the door to their house.  Loudly introduce yourself.  Try to sell them a gun to fix their door.

She pauses, “I don’t need it, but it’d be sad if I left all those poor machines rotting around Gensokyo.  They want to fly, you know?”

She quietly nods to herself, “They were made to fly, so they have to fly.  So I fix em, and make em fly!  I’m Gensokyo’s one and only aviator!”  She made the peace sign to the fox, giving a big grin.

Lorno looked pleased with herself. "That's a whirlybird!"

"Well, I'm a dragonfly 'cause I was born one! Silver, that's like asking why yer a fox. Though maybe cause it's the dragon triangle, it went to a dragon-fly? That might explain it?". Lorno lifted her hat to scratch her head in puzzlement.

"Oh, right, whirlybirds are just helicopters. They fly around by spinning blades in the air really fast.". Lorno, that doesn't sound so safe, "an I heard yer name the first time, silver. It's just silver is easier ta say."

“I control machines that were lost and find their way inta Gensokyo.  An lots get lost from outside.  My favorites are whirlybirds, o course.”  Eri has no idea what whirlybirds are, damnit Lorno.

“Yeah, I just found the clothes...  No people.  I assume youkai ate em up.  Still, I salvaged and repaired mosta the planes.  They’re really nice.”  She’s proud of that boast, “So you’re from outside? What’s it like?  How’re the planes?   Oh!  Oh!  Did you see any black helicopters out there?”  

She flits about, excited, “I only have a few o the black helicopters, got em back durin the urban legend hubbub.  Wanted ta be cool, ya know.  Like, ‘see, I got black helicopters!’”
