Most supernatural beings do best in places of reasonable doubt. This is both because it’s safer and they just like fucking with people.

Doors closing on their own without a gust of wind could be a ghost. But it also could be because of changes in air pressure caused by large differences in temperature between rooms.

And they know this! Most ghosts will wait until there is possible deniability to do something.

The same is true for beings like the fey, vampires, werewolves, and most spirits.

There are people whose souls are less connected to their bodies than most. People who can easily become untethered with themselves. I am one such person.

For me it typically makes life easier. It’s easier to help the wayward spirit when I let my spirt be a little wayward to. Easier to help with a habitons when I have haunted my own house. Plus I let myself become untethered I can see the subtle traces of fae magic out of the corner of my eye.

Vampire: “Just once I want to see a vampire movie where the blood looks actually appetizing. Like yeah we’re dead and yes blood is the only thing that sustains us, but it also tastes good.”

Werewolf: “Nah, some of y’all are so picky it’s crazy. I know for a fact that y’all would die of starvation if blood didn’t taste good to you.”

Vampire: “Exactly!”
