Time to look at all of the quilts by 12-16 year olds. This one is by Dorothea Shaw. She's played on the theme of 'free' by going for 'free as a bird'. The swooping and bird makes a beautiful contrast with the structured housing blocks. There's even maybe a little further pun on 'free' with the inclusion of a bank in the buildings.
