Update... I guess?

Hello all! I know I've made an update in the past, one specifically where I was like "Hey, no more Aphmau content" ... and then I didn't adhere to it-

But I'm here to say: it's for real this time.

Really, I'm serious. I was doom scrolling on TikTok (as one does when you have ADHD), and I remembered that I had an Aphmau content save file (like a folder for specific saved videos, there's prolly a word for it but I dont give a fat flying FUCK)

And then I realized that, unlike before, I hadn't thought of Aphmau or Aphmau related things in like... 2-6 months. And that's unusual for me because, for the past 8-9 YEARS I have thought about Aphmau things nearly HOURLY, a product of my ADHD (I'm like 90% sure-)

With everything else that I have going on in my life; being out for the summer, FINALLY securing a job, and FINALLY learning how to drive... I've realized that I've finally grown up from that 8 year old kid I used to be.

Now, that is NOT to say that y'all can't enjoy Aphmau. If you're 17, 18, or 23 and you still like it? Good for you, homie, enjoy what you enjoy. But I have come to a point in my life where the nostalgia isn't enough to keep me in this fandom.

Again, if you as the reader still like Aphmau content that is 100% okay and you are not childish or lesser for doing so. It's just that I, personally, do not think about Aphmau anymore... and I think it's high time I moved on.

If this loses me some followers, I totally get it. I am guilty of unfollowing accounts when they post different content than what I'm used to, so no hard feelings if my following (of like 30, lol) drops to the single digits.

I wish all the ones who leave the best, and for the ones that stay, I hope that my content will be filling for yall :3

Constantly thinking about how Aphmau never told Laurance who killed Joh, so Laurance probably blamed himself for his father's death and he already blamed himself for Sasha's so mans is just not having a good time.

Unpopular(?) Mystreet Opinions! Why? Because this has been in my drafts for MONTHS and I need to clean out my drafts (there are like 19 or something-)

- Laurance and the Shadow Knights (Sasha, Zenix, and Gene) deserved an exclusive episode together

- Garrance should’ve been canon

- Jess should’ve used Nana Ashida instead of Kawaii~Chan for said pink mefiwa

- Laurance and Garroth should’ve moved on from Aphmau by the middle or end of season 1

- Laurance and Cadenza deserved more screen time (please, I want the sweet older sister and the angry little brother dynamic-)

- we should’ve got more insight into some of the characters backstories (ex. Katelyn, Laurance, Cadenza, Lucinda, Nana, etc.)

- THEY SHOULD’VE KILLED EIN SOONER (OR redeemed him, he had such potential)

- Laurance shouldn’t have been abandoned as a character

- Ivy should’ve been told off in PDH for stalking Garroth

- Aaron and Aphmau shouldn’t have met in high school, they should’ve met as adults

- the series is poorly written

- Aphmau is a Mary Sue, especially early on

- Laurance and Aphmau should’ve had a more sibling relationship than a romantic one

- we should have gotten some context about Laurance and Gene’s past, instead of just implied mistreatment

- Aphmau is a boring character

- Jess and Jason were bad writers

- there should’ve been more racial diversity (Aphmau is canonically Mexican, Nana is Asian (implied to be Japanese i think?), and Teony is black but everyone else is implied to be white)

- the Shadow Knight’s should’ve kept their “demonage” (if you will) from MCD

- NOT EVERY MALE CHARACTER HAD TO BE INFATUATED WITH APHMAU (PLEASE! I am TIRED)

- Aphmau and Katelyn should’ve been step-sisters (they’re already a great duo and Katelyn’s dad is... involved with Aphmau’s mom)

AND THATS IT! 20 unpopular(?) opinions and months in writing later (I fuckin’ forgot this in my drafts-) you finally have some juicy content. Feel free to steal this idea or to fiddle with my ideas as your own (I know I’m probably not the first one to come up with some of these.)

I think the way I think about MCD and MS characters has been so skewed by my own headcanons... for better or for worse.

Because, Pros: -None of the guys are creeps anymore -Katelyn keeps Luca as a GF (fuck you, they belong together) - Garrance (enough said -Laurance and Dante being brothers -Aphmau is not a bitch

But, Cons: -I cannot watch the source material anymore -hearing anyone defend Canon!Aphmau makes me gag -AARON -AARMAU -EIN

Hey All!

Not to worry, I'm not dead. However, I want to talk about something.

Lately, I've been really burnt out from Aphmau content. Don't get me wrong, I'm as unhealthily attached to Laurance, Garroth, Katelyn, and the rest as the next guy, but I'm very tired of it.

I want to expand my content! I want to rant and rave about Good Omens, or FNAF, or anything I want! I want this blog to be my own, the place I go to when my friends are tired of my ramblings or I'm bored on a Sunday. I don't hate what I post, but it's feeling repetitive.

I've also been working on my own universe, my own creation. I'm hoping to make a book out of it, but even if I don't, I want to be able to show my art here.

TLDR: I'm tired of doing only Aphmau-Text content, and I want to do other things. If this means I lose any of you, I totally understand and I hope all of you have a decent life and endless happiness.

-Laurance doesn't sleep through the night so he takes naps throughout the day

-Laurance sometimes goes to Lucinda's house just to hang out or get some of her pumpkin pie

-Garroth said Laurance "fights dirty" after a 1v1 training session between the two

-Laurance says that Joh (his adoptive dad) was the best influence on him

-Laurance can't talk about Joh without it bringing him to tears, so he usually doesn't talk about it

-Aphmau never told Laurance that Sasha killed Joh. Once Laurance found out, he began losing trust in her.

-Laurance talks about Garroth a lot... like too much...

-Laurance can't sleep unless he knows that everyone else in whatever building he's in is safe, so he goes around making sure everyone is okay before he sleeps.

-When he was blind, Laurance had a staff that he used to find his way around when no one was with him. He still has it to this day.

-Laurance's automatic response to being frightened is to punch. This once lead to Cadenza getting a black eye and a lot of new sewing equipment.

-Laurance knows how to sew, but he's no where near as good as Cadenza.

-Laurance has the mindset that anyone who harms a child is unforgivable.

-Emmalyn once asked Laurance what being a Shadow Knight was like, since he's the only one in Pheonix Drop, which lead to hours of borderline trauma dumping that the two keep to themselves.

-Laurance sometimes goes to Cadenza's house after having nightmares, so she gave him a key.

-Laurance thinks marriage is kinda dumb

-Laurance sometimes avoids people, but he doesn't know why

-Laurance loosens up a LOT around Cadenza and Garroth, but Garroth didn't know that thats what was happening until Cadenza told him

-Dante once asked what Joh was like, and was met with hours worth of stories from Laurance.
