I did a lil thing :D

I decided that all the guys from Saja boys should have some sort of past/motivation for actually agreeing with Jinu to do the boy band- especially have the skills to pull it off.

Ik there's a theory that the photo seen in the pharmacy/doctors office (where-ever Rumi got the grape juice 😭) that the 4 guys are them except Jinu. I really liked this theory, so I went with it!

I tried to figure out names that were close to the signatures- but I can assure they're probably off. (This wasn't easy and a good hour to try and figure out 😭👍)

Abby- Jumin

Romance- Qiyu

Mystery- Lee-Ji

Baby- Min-Woo

Below this point is my headcannons of their pasts/how they were manipulated by Gwi-Ma :D

Jumin/Abby: He was always the golden child; smart, polite and graduating with honours. He was highly skilled in many different subjects- but his growing passion for music slowly led him away from these things he was always praised for. He wanted to enhance his grades however, falling into perfectionism and what the people around him saw in him, rather than what he saw in himself. He was stuck between keeping everyone else happy and staying with his known skills, or forgetting it all and throwing all his efforts to forming a K-pop group to make himself happy. With higher tensions in his family and his friend group from his 'sudden change', he fell into deoression, unsure what to do. As his grades dropped from the stress, his parents began to verbally abuse him, and threatening to throw him out; watching his younger brother get all the praise, becoming his parents new comparison. Only Min-Woo and Qiyu stood by him- but he refused to tell them his passion, shutting them out. Gwi-ma manipulated him; his soul for everyone accepting his passion. He began his group, X-Gajok, quickly getting Min-Woo and Qiyu to join- but unsure who else to ask, all other friends having nothing to do with music. However, his family finally accepted him, and praised him for his decision for creativity. However, as marks showed and his soul drained- he slowly lost his passion. Once Qiyu left and they had to kick Lee-Ji; Min-woo and him decided it was best to split up. He was left with nothing- he was sent to Gwi-Ma at his lowest- convined he made the wrong decisions and could've never been worth anything- and that he'd pushed everyone away because of his own selfishness.

Qiyu/Romance: Toxic love was all he knew growing up, from abusive/obsessive parents, grandparents and even distant relatives in abusive relationships- he believed the bloodline was cursed. He refused to get with anyone, afraid of hurting someone he loved. In his first year of X-Gajok he grew a crush for Lee-Ji, finding his quietness and shyness cute, and something contrasting of himself. He loved the idea of flirting, messing around and fake-relationships to ease the pain away of genuine love (he didn't love these people, it was just a coping mechanism)- but he couldn’t shake his feelings- let alone for a guy. The feeling was too much to handle, and he was confused and disgusted with himself. However, the more he hated the thoughts, the more he grew in love. He became obsessed with every little detail of Lee-Ji, but tried to keep focus on his new life as a growing K-pop idol. He was their main visual, backup singer, and helped in choreography. With hatred of himself growing, and his desire for Lee-Ji becoming more- he made a deal with Gwi-ma- for true, genuine love with no possible threat of abuse of whoever he got with. This meant he felt less ill towards his feelings of Lee-Ji. It wasn’t until Lee-Ji’s apperance change- which was fine but odd. But the personality shift, trying to push himself into their given roles and change what everyone’s position was- something he wasn’t able to stand (Prolly doesn't make sense now, but trust it will) This made him believe the deal wasn’t working, leading to raging out on others- affecting his relation with the other group members- except Min-Woo- his childhood friend, there to see all his issues. When the patterns started to make present, he got fearful- believing himself to make a crutial mistake. He could only spend his time in fear, hiding these marks- which slowly hindered his voice, and drained his ability to dance- eventually leading him to having to leave shortly before Lee-Ji got kicked. Eventually, with built shame, rage and depression- he was sent to the demon-realm- without his wish properly fulfilled. (The voices from Gwi-Ma are slightly less apparent, feeling less shame of what happened after finding out the truth of Lee-Ji and the other group members.)

Lee-Ji/Mystery: Growing up, he was fascinated with K-pop idols, both the singing and dancing- but always noticed the strong visuals that usually would overtake in popular groups. Growing up neglected with bad parents, there was no way for him to shake his insecurity- waking up each day hating himself. Often he kept to himself, kept his hair as close to his eyes as his school would allow and covered his skin and face wherever he could. He soon was offered a position by a couple classmates (Jumin and Qiyu), catching his lyrics he wrote in his notebooks. He joined the K-pop group as their last member, and their debut began. He was the primary lyric writer, and backup vocalist for higher notes. However, he hid from his insecurity and on really bad days refused to show for rehearsal, afraid for even his new friends/family to see him. At his lowest point, the others questioned him and with insecurity at its peak- Gwi-ma got into his brain. Finally, he’d be granted with his dream appearance, but in a way that still resembled him. He was extremely happy, becoming slightly cocky with this new look, proposing he become the main visual- which had always been Qiyu- leading to tension between the two. Soon, the marks took his skin- and he was back to hiding, and confused. The group grew fed up with him, kicking him from the group until he could help himself. In shambles, he was officially sent to the demon realm. This raised his insecurity, having his original features- alongside demon ones which he could only see as ugly. This is how Gwi-Ma gets to him- making him hide as much as possible- and keeping quiet due to the shame he feels of getting cocky and essentially pushing away his group/new family.

Min-woo/Baby: He wanted nothing but to be a rapper, practicing it every moment he could- practicing all kind of verses and styles. It consumed his life- but on the contrary everyone babied him and saw him as a feminine man (from growing up ill as a kid, leading to malnutrition and a higher voice from damaged vocal chords) any time he tried to go to rapping battles or join a band who needed a rapper/singer they declined, believing he wasn’t who they needed based off apperance and his higher pitched talking voice. Again and again he was rejected- believing he could never get the part. It was his only dream, having no backup plans- and lack of education from all energy going towards the rapping. He often spoke of his issues with Qiyu, seeking out advice- until he was offered a position, Jumin aiming to start up a band. This gave him motivation. He instantly got in for his rapping skills- but not long after fell ill. He had to take breaks from rapping, losing some of his skill in his battle fighting illness. His mother was the only one to try and help and support him- while trying to get him out doing his passion. Gwi-Ma convinced him to make a deal, curing his illness forever. He was quick to take the deal. His illness was gone, but he noticed slowly the group was falling apart, tensions rising, and he grew nervous. Soon, healing, he was getting expirience, getting into rapping battles- finally able to convince others he was worthy. With his band breaking apart he tried to convince Jumin the band was done for good- going onto these battles and other band positions. He grew his name, becoming a semi-famous rapper in a old korean-metal band, 'Nun-eul Gamda,, leaving behind his old family/friends. It was soon after finding out they were missing/believed dead that guilt overtook him, having left them all and being the one one left. At the same time, his marks were beginning to become very present- affecting his mindset and making his head hazy- leading to sudden faliure as he failed to keep up with other rappers, amd making verses in his own band. Eventually, he was kicked- and sent to Gwi-Ma.

I think their dynamic is kinda silly, a little flawed and empty in the movie- But I love them with my whole heart ❤️ I also really wanna make all the saja boys have a simular thing like Jinu, they're just less open about it and more "hypnotized" by Gwi-ma. But I want them all to have a clear personality, motivation amd regret when it comes to their plans.

Sayori-

-Doesn't turn into a 2nd Monika after Monika is deleted

-Parents are often not home, usually both working, so she's often neglected

-Sees romance and putting her friends before her as an escape world for her neglection

Monika-

-Gains sentience throughout the game, which is why Sayori has a quick decline, Monika figuring it out; and so on. This also drives her to be more obsessive/phychotic.

-Used to like Sayori before figuring out sentience and the whole player thing

-extreme perfectionist

-Parents often neglect her too, but are usually there, typically saying she doesn't do enough and pushing her away, and also obsesses over others in a romance way too easily because of this

-Had never felt real, which led to her discovery that she was just a character

Yuri-

-Has an extreme hobby for collecting very niche things, and playing/watching anything niche. Partly why she feels so uncomfortable talking of herself/interests

-Has extreme trust issues and doesn't actually grow to trust the other club members, but rather appreciate them

-Doesn't feel as though she's alive (Cotards syndrome), which is part of her addiction (Also just needing a coping mechanism to calm herself)

Natsuki-

-Often dresses cutely to avoid everyday standards as a way of going against her father and acceping herself

-Doesn't actually have anger issues/sass, but uses it as a protection against others to stand up for herself (Used to being ignored, neglected and abused by others)

-Actually gets her own death when dealing with Monika

GRAAAAAA I LOVE THESE TWO. I've watched the first saw movie like- 3 or 4 times? GRAAAAA.

You'd think I'd know their facial features by memory now. Apparently not. I may stink a little with drawing real faces (I am and was a victim to same face syndrome), so apologies.
