i used to post poetry

i used to put my poetry up on my blog but have since come to a very slow unsure stop on whether or not to continue-

i don’t get much engagement when i do post my poetry (look out for my book in the future lol) but i’m not really sure if that’s what i’m looking for or if the joy i get is from just sharing it in general

anyways this came to me cause my main blog (this is my side blog) turned 4 recently

i know i never really post long tangents and most of you (156 atm) are here for the ldr and girlblog content but if you have input or would like to have a convo let me know💗💗💗

Boyfriend

What an ugly word

Girlfriend is ugly too

I'd rather be called a "lover"

I'd rather call him my lover

Boyfriend feels so empty for a word

There's no passion in it

No desire

The word disgusts me

I don't want a boyfriend

Where's the fun in that?

I want a lover

there is something truly beautiful in finding little parts of yourself again

like remembering a band you used to listen to, the smell of an old perfume, a lost poem you wrote, a forgotten worn shirt

and how they bring you back to some part of your younger self
