Hi all,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the kindness. From people donating, to friends and family helping in person, this has been a much easier time than I ever expected it to be.
Never underestimate how much your support means to someone, even if it's just kind words.
Coby and Gerald passed peacefully on the 25th of February, and I was able to be with them until the end. We had a beautiful service on March 1st and they were surrounded by love until their final day.
I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who visited them, and especially to the nurses and doctors who helped them be comfortable leading up to the 25th.
I still have a ways to go to settle everything up for them, but I'll be working on it while staying in their home til it sells.
Thank you once again,
Lee, Coby and Gerald Goguen

Hi everyone, it's been a long 5 months and I wish I had happy news to share.
A lot has happened, and we're reaching the end of mom and dad's journey. They will be going "home" thanks to MAiD on the 25th of February. This is sad news, but good news at the same time as the suffering will be over soon.
Thank you to everyone who has donated. My parents consider you all family and are so grateful for your kindness. A special place in our hearts is full of love for you.
With regards to the fundraiser, any further donations will go to helping me pay for their end of life costs as well as helping me pay off the debts I incurred taking care of them.
Thank you all again, your support came at a very necessary time, and I cannot express how grateful I am to you.
Here's a photo of mom and dad keeping each other company in the hospital. They were able to get a room together, and will be completing MAiD together as well.

Hug your loved ones today,
Lee

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your continued support. Coby is doing a lot better these days. A lot has happened and it's been a whirlwind for the past 2 months, so I've been unable to update until now.
After her biopsy surgery, Coby began suffering from severe pain and had to have a pain management plan put in place with some pretty expensive medications. Your donations helped us purchase these meds while waiting for her government drug card. While she was dealing with that, Gerald was diagnosed with a severe infection that caused him issues with walking, and he has been fighting it since. We have had some trouble getting him set up with the Family Caregiver Benefit, but that should be going smoothly now! Your donations helped with travel, grocery, and bills while we were sorting that out.
All this to say that our family is eternally grateful for each and every one of you. Every donation, no matter how small, allowed us to keep going during this stressful and trying time. Thank you a million times over!
I'm currently at home nursing a sprained ankle, but hoping to get to Saint John to visit them again once it's healed!

Not something I ever wanted to do... My mom (62) recently got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I'm trying to raise funds to cover her bills so she can spend more time with my dad (69) instead of him having to work his construction job while she's sick. The GoFundMe is here.
Literally anything helps. I'm not in a position to help them myself, since I recently lost my day job, but if anyone would like to commission me for some art, I will gladly work for donations. Thank you for reading.

We had Mom's biopsy surgery yesterday, and we brought her a nice big breakfast afterwards! The surgery went so well that she was able to come home last night instead of staying overnight. She even had her first dose of radiation in her left arm and we're already seeing a difference! Hopefully the break in that arm heals even faster now!
Thanks again to everyone who has donated, thanks to you all my dad was able to join us at the hospital yesterday instead of having to work. We can't thank you enough for helping our family be together at this time.

Lots of love from all of us!

***UPDATE*** WE HIT 3k! Thank you SO SO much to everyone. We are amazed. I've edited the goal in case anyone still wants to donate, but we are beyond grateful for everything. My parents are overwhelmed by your kindness, and feel so much comfort knowing that they have a safety net to start mom's treatments. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I literally am speechless. So much kindness really hits you hard when you're in a spot like this, and I can't wait to share my parents with you when I see them this weekend. They want to thank you all from the bottom of their hearts.

I'm overwhelmed by the kindness everyone has shown my family. We've already reached $1800. Thank you all so, so much. Every little bit and every share helps so much. I'm going to call my mom this morning and tell her how wonderful you all are. I get to see her this weekend, so I'll post an update with her; she wants to come paint with me! Thank you again. I cannot express how amazing this all is. I want to emphasize that if anyone who donates wants some art, please message me.

Switching from Etsy
Tumblr media
Alright y'all... I'm tired of Etsy fees. It was super convenient for the shipping labels but they took $100 of fees for 17 sales last month and that's just not sustainable for a small business like myself. So I'm asking for your opinions! Has anyone used big cartel? I hear good things but I'd love to read some user experiences from both sides (as a seller and a purchaser). I'm considering switching over there as it seems way more reasonable than Etsy's ridiculous fees.

Tiny shop update to prove I'm still alive! Sometimes life kicks your butt, but you get up and start again! Hoping to have some more designs up soon, maybe even with a new one???? But we'll see if life's done kicking me, haha.

And there's more to come! Vince is planning some new designs exclusively for patches!

New embroidery machine means new products! Stitched with love and available on my Etsy shop! This melon ball python was my first design with my new machine, and I’m excited to do more fun designs like this! There are currently 2 available to ship out, and they can be made to order as well!
There’s what I’ve decided to call a mis-stitch in there as well.

So I’ve been playing around in Rebelle 5 Pro because it’s on a major sale for only $15CAD (one time purchase, still valid as of 2022-10-16) and I’m really having fun with it! I got it and flame painter recently, and I can’t wait to play around with the flame painter program! I just haven’t figured out what I want to draw yet haha.  This was done with the oil brushes, and it was really fun to learn how they work! This isn’t a sponsored post or anything, I just wanted to share the good sale with anyone who might be interested in a program that simulates traditional painting :)
