Hi I know in the spoiler notice for the new main story campaign it says not to post screen recordings of the overblot animations, but does it say anywhere if screenshots are also banned?
Hello hello, thank you for this question! 📝
Tumblr media
The exact request we have received via the game from Twst is to please refrain from posting new animations on social media or video-sharing platforms during the Main Story Completion Support Campaign!
This campaign will last from June 27 until August 1.
After August 1 it will maybe be okay to share this content? :>
The reasoning is for spoilers! It seems maybe they want to encourage newer players to complete the story and provide them with enough time to do so, and for the animations to be special things for them to experience for the first time in-game instead of by accident on SNS while they are working hard to progress.
The message does not specify that it is only video that is forbidden, but as the reason is for spoilers then it might be safest to avoid sharing anything at all until 15:00 on August 1!
Spoilers are very much the worst and it is exciting to think that the community might all be able to come together in a combined effort to help the game be as enjoyable as possible for new players 🎶 Yay teamwork! 🥳

Updated Vil Facts Part 27: Jobs (pt4)
Idia suggests sending Vil in to handle the Fairy Gala situation as “fashion shows are his thing” and Vil refuses, saying that someone of his stature could hardly do fashion shows for free.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil has a voiceline saying that he would like to get better at drawing, which would be useful for creating proposals for collaboration with brands that he likes.
On the subject of traveling with his father as a child Vil says that the opportunity to interact with people from different places was a priceless gift, teaching him how to be a better judge of character and analyze different kinds of behavior, which helped with his acting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also mentions shooting a movie in the savanna, where an elephant dumped water on his head. “I think he meant it as a gift.”
Vil wonders if he will start getting more offers around combat sports after winning the Cloudcalling event tournament, saying, “I don't want to cultivate too rough an image.”
Vil says he is interested in improving his flight skills but for his work as an actor rather than his grades, as “it would be nice to be able to shoot airborne scenes without relying on CG or wires,” and it might be even more useful on the other side of the camera.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil takes a job at the school store during New Year’s on the basis that it is a good opportunity to experience something he doesn’t normally do, and he might be able to use it in his acting.
Vil says he has been in an action movie in the past, and he expresses interest in the horror-themed attractions at Playfulland as they may give him inspiration for movie makeup for props.
After three hours of Vil “wailing” at the end of Book 6 Jamil comments, “He's definitely not a famous actor for nothing. He can project way better than regular people,” and Sebek also comments on Vil’s “incredible lung capacity” for being able to sustain screaming at such a high volume for their entire dream-hopping journey.

Twst Speech Patterns: Lilia
Lilia uses 良い (yoi) in a way that is not common in everyday life, kind of archaic/formal/classical.
Literally it means “good” but is very adaptable in context, and Lilia uses it to give commands, give affirmation, etc., to make what he says sound older sounding, or theatrical.
Tumblr media
Lilia also often repeats わい (wai), another way his phrasing is being made to sound old-fashion/theatrical/whimsical.
Tumblr media
It is generally associated with older/rural/eccentric male characters in fictional stories and isn’t a word with a translatable definition, acting as a sentence-ending particle with a little drama/humor/charm, playing into Lilia being mischievousness and theatrical, old fashioned and an older mentor.
Tumblr media
Lilia will also often incorporate じゃ (ja) into his speech, which is also associated with older male characters in fiction, like samurai-era or fantasy settings.
Lilia generally uses it instead of だ (da), which has been explained more here ->
When Lilia’s voice actor Midorikawa Hikaru met with Silver’s voice actor and congratulated him on the recent birth of his child, he tweeted using Lilia’s emoji 🦇 and Lilia’s use of “ja”.

Updated Vil Facts Part 26: Jobs (pt3)
While turning down acting roles that require extensive production periods Vil says that in his first year he kept up several jobs that he’d committed to prior to enrolling at NRC.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He says he is currently focusing on modeling gigs that he can balance with his schoolwork, and he is hired as a model to promote a movie at a film festival.
He brings Ace, Jamil, Azul, the prefect and Grim along to carry his shopping bags, protect him from paparazzi and fans, touch up his makeup and take pictures of him as he walks the red carpet. They are allowed to keep clothing that they wear as a part of fulfilling these roles in compensation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The group has dinner with the actor/producer who hired Vil for the job (Vil’s father), to whom Vil introduces the other students as his porters for the day.
Eric tells Vil that his professionalism is why he knew he was the right person for the job, and Vil tells the other students that they were the perfect accessories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eric asks if he will be able to produce Vil’s first feature after Vil graduates from NRC as soon as he is ready to get back into acting and Vi responds, “only if your terms are acceptable to me.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil is also hired as ambassador for shoe brand Ténèbres while enrolled at NRC, after Jade procures him a pair of the brand’s “mirror heels” and the designer sees a picture of him wearing them at a party.
According to Rook, becoming their ambassador was something that Vil has always dreamed of.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In his third year at NRC we have also seen Vil interviewed by a magazine, do another interview on fishing, accept an offer to do a commercial for fishing gear as a result of that interview, prepare for an appearance on a cooking program, do a magazine shoot, and receive several requests to put in appearances at future Halloween events.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil becomes interested in Playfulland after hearing about a guarantee that anyone who puts on a show is guaranteed to become stars, having heard that “the park puts on superb performances far beyond anything you can find elsewhere.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil is suspicious, saying that it sounds like smoke and mirrors, but Ortho reports that Fellow gave no indication that he was lying through pupil dilation, body language or pulse. Vil says he cannot imagine Ortho erring in his calculations and wonders if the park can truly live up to the rumors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he appears at the meeting place Vil insists that he finds the entire situation highly suspicious, saying, “If he's a charlatan capable of passing lies off as the honest truth, these spudlings wouldn't stand a chance on their own,” and that he deemed it safest to keep an eye on them personally to ensure that nothing happens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leona responds, “You were just drawn to the promise of a stage performance and you know it. There's no way you could resist the allure of a show put on at an illusionary theme park,” and Vil admits that he would be lying if he said he wasn’t interested.

Many NRC students likely knew they had magical abilities before NRC (e.g. Deuce summoning a cauldron in his middle-school era), and some even could use them succesfully; so what do they need NRC wands for?
Hello hello, thank you for this question! 🪄
Short answer: they need their magic pens for holding their magestones! 🥳
Long answer: The magical pens of NRC do not enable anyone's magic (as you say!), they are only there as a way for the students to have convenient access to their magestones, but magestones are also not required to use magic!
In the Twst universe it seems that magic comes from the mage (and/or from nature, in the case of the fae characters), not from magical pens or stones.
Tumblr media
(Grim, for example, is setting things on fire throughout the prologue long before he is granted a magestone.)
Tumblr media
We get examples of characters using magic without their pens or magestones during Vargas Camp, where the first thing Vargas does is confiscate everyone's pens to force them to rely on "brains and brawn ONLY."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But we still have Floyd magically starting a fire and Trey setting up a magical barrier, etc., all without any access to pens or stones.
Tumblr media
Ruggie says they are able to use "some basic magic" without magestones "but bigger attack spells are out of the question," especially unique magics, but he doesn't mean that they are physically incapable of casting spells without stones: the only thing that magestones do is take on the blot that is created from a mage using magic.
Vil, for example, uses his unique magic during Book 6 without access to any magestone.
Tumblr media
For a quick review of blot, Crowley explains:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Blot" is a form of waste that is created as a byproduct of using magic. Just as cars run on gasoline, and in the process, expel dangerous gases as exhaust, Casting spells consumes magical energy, and in the process, expels blot. Research into the nature of blot has been conducted since time immemorial. And yet, we still understand little about it. All we know for sure is that it is terrifically toxic, and excessive amounts can wreak havoc on a mage's mind and body. Power and peril are two sides of the same coin. Even the greatest of mages cannot cast spell after spell without consequence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Crowley has this to say on magestones:
This is why a magestone is so valuable to magic users. Not only does it aid your casting, it also serves as a lightning rod of sorts, to prevent blot from accumulating within the caster. People vary greatly in their capacity for magic. However, save for a few key exceptions, there is little variance in most mages' tolerance for blot. In essence, it means that those who possess a great capacity for magic must be meticulous in their efforts to avoid accumulating blot.
So this is why they need the magestones: to accumulate their blot, not to make it possible for them to cast magic.
Tumblr media
And the "wands" (re: magical pens) themselves are also unnecessary as long as there is a way for a mage to have a magestone on-hand!
While not officially confirmed, the faculty of NRC seems to have their magestones attached to various accessories rather than pens, while the students of RSA seem to be using their magestones as badges rather than pens, and Rollo's magestone is maybe his ring?

Translation from Twisted Wonderland the 2nd novel: Exhibition Match Promise (pt2)
“‘Then it's settled. The Ramshackle Dorm team will be Grim-kun, Yuu-kun, and the three ghosts. Plus Trappola-kun and Spade-kun. Seven members in total!’
‘Huh? Hang on—am I being counted as a member?’ Yuuya asks, forgetting to drop his smile. Has the headmage made a mistake, or did he mishear? But neither Ace nor Deuce look particularly surprised.
‘Of course. We’re from Heartslabyul, and we’re being allowed in. It wouldn’t be fair if you couldn’t come too, what with you actually being in Ramshackle Dorm and all.’
‘I don’t mind at all,’ Deuce says, and he likely means to be kind, but Yuuya has never considered the possibility of participating in the tournament. He has never once thought that he wanted to. He’d been bad at sports even back in his original world. He hates competing against other teams—other people.
And there is one fatal problem that looms over all else.
‘What kind of reaction is that? You don’t want to team up with us?’
‘No, that’s not it. It’s just…I can’t use magic.’ Yuuya looks at Ace. ‘You know that.’
Spelldrive requires magical power. And Yuuya can’t use magic. Playing alongside mages is out of the question.
‘I can’t move the disk. I can’t fly, and even my physical stamina, I…’
‘That ain’t what matters right now!’ As Yuuya lists off the various reasons why he will be unable to join the game, he is interrupted by none other than a beaming Grim.
‘Don’t get all hung up on small stuff like that. I’ll do enough for both of us out there, so it’ll be fine. What matters is gettin’ enough people for a team,’ Grim insists, as though getting on the field is more important than the rules or how the game even works.
‘But spelldrive is a scary sport—I really don’t think I can handle it.’
‘You’ll be fine. You might end up having fun once you try it.’
‘That’s right!’ The headmage chimes in right after Ace. ‘Besides, Grim-kun clearly wants to play spelldrive so very badly. You would never abandon your partner, would you, Yuu-kun?’
Now it is Yuuya who is on the receiving end of disapproving stares. He tries to push back, but he is outnumbered, and in the end finds himself having been made a member of the team."

Updated Vil Facts Part 25: Jobs (pt2)
Idia confirms that Vil did not get any specialized training before enrolling at NRC, saying that his magic pool, manifestation speed and potency are all remarkably high, with “pretty impressive” numbers for someone with no other magical education.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil explains that he had enough to focus on between traveling the world with his actor father and growing his acting career, so he wasn’t able to drop everything and enroll in a magic school just because his powers manifest, which is why he had no magic training prior to NRC.
Vil says, “No one around me was able to offer instruction either. Even if my father was able to use magic, which he isn't, he was far too busy.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil says that, after enrolling in school, he decided to refuse any job offers that required extended shooting so that he can focus on his studies, as such projects can last for multiple years.
Despite this it seems Vil comes close to accepting a movie role in Book 5 when he is offered a role in a sequel to a “mega-hit title with box office revenue topping two hundred million thaumarks” called Legendary Sword. Vil is unimpressed by being typecast into “pretty villain” roles, but says he will consider it depending on who has been cast as the hero.
It is revealed to be Neige, and Vil turns down the offer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the Tapis Rouge event Vil says that when he was accepted into NRC he wasn’t sure what he should do and if it would be worth putting his acting career on hold, but he chose to enroll even if it meant he got to work less.
He says that his life at NRC has been even more enriching than he had imagined, and it is clear that he has made the right choice.
Vil says that he is thinking of applying to a film studio for the first quarter of his 4th-year internship, as he is interested in potionology but doesn’t have any plans to continue his education at the moment.
Vil explains that he has passed up on a lot of jobs while devoting himself to his studies, and has concluded that his dream is to expression is own vision of the greatest form of beauty: “So from the second quarter onward, I'll be selecting internships that dovetail with that goal.”

June 22 Seiyuu Talk Show Summary
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Disclaimer: not exact translations, paraphrasing and summarizing)
It opened by showing the seven music videos, hosted by VAs for Cater🔸, Jamil🐍, Vil👑 and Rook🏹 !
🏹 says that while changing back stage, he and 👑 were singing Pomefiore’s song together 🎶
First topic: Twst MV Corner
Heartslabyul's song 🔸: I didn't think that we would ever be singing. It's been 5 years. When I heard it I thought, "Finally, the day that Cater will sing has come!" I always thought it would be neat if he could sing one day, as he is a member of the pop music club.
Scarabia's song 🐍: I thought it was a really cool song when I first got it, that rhythm. I recorded first. When 🦦 recorded he messaged me and said "I listened to your part and recorded to match you. It is really cool."
🏹 imitates Ortho in Ignihyde's song, it is amazing
Diasomnia's song (Talking about how they couldn't read the kanji of the lyrics.) 🔸:Could you all read any of that? 👑:I had to look words up. 🏹:They used the "you" kanji (耀) from my name. I'd never seen it used anywhere before.
Second Topic: 5th Anniversary Reflection Talk
Memories from Twst 🐍:Book 4 overblot's recording. Was very nervous, it left such a big impression on me.
🔸:In the very beginning we all recorded together. The feeling of "Twst is really beginning here," the senpai VA, how I was going to portray Cater Diamond--I was so nervous. That very starting moment left a big impression on me.
👑:Vil-sama had a lot of dialogue in Book 5. There was a lot of going deep into the character. Memories of recording the songs together…
🏹:Vil-sama had a lot of dialogue in Book 6, too. 👑:I had a feeling that there was a lot of time spent particularly on Vil-sama's recordings. I do not know how it was for everyone else, but…when there was something I came up with on my own there was always additional direction. I came to know Vil-sama very well.
Main Story Book 7: Reflection Talk (Showing sprites from Book 7 dreams)
🐍:I am actually a pop-nii-san. So I got to be a little like that in the dream. I really enjoyed it.
👑:Muscley Epel. I had no idea they would go as far as that.
⚠️Book 7 Spoiler Start
🔸:The thing that surprised me the most was the great things that Cater said when waking Ace up. "Cater Diamond, this is the man that you are!" I started to cry. I recorded together with ❤️ and almost cried there, too.
🏹:When debating who to wake up first, Ace or Trey, Cater recommends Ace first because Deuce was lonely. It would obviously have been better to wake Trey up first but Cater was like a big brother and offered to wake Ace up first for Deuce, instead.
⚠️Book 7 Spoiler End
Overblot group solo songs are coming!
Riddle: Red Heart Rage Leona: Still Infallible, Until Tangible Azul: ABYSS Jamil: Snake and Blink Vil: Crépuscule Idia: GGWP Malleus: 祝福 (shukufuku / blessing, name of Malleus’ unique magic)

Updated Vil Facts Part 24: Jobs (pt1)
Vil says that there isn’t anywhere in particular that he calls home, as he has been traveling for work since he was a child. Eric explains that Vil started acting early so he was often being pulled out of school, and wasn’t always able to get close to his classmates as a result.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil says that he “definitely stood out at school. In a good way” and that no one ever bullied him (perhaps not counting the incident that introduced him to Jack as being bullied at school?).
Vil says he started performing before starting elementary school, with Eric explaining that Vil got scouted as a result of always accompanying him on shoots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil says that he’d yet to have any training when he made his debut so he wasn’t much of an actor when he first started. Eric says he was already getting leading roles within his first year but Vil specifies that he was only co-lead, as “Neige was the real star.”
Vil says that he and Neige “did a number of shows together” that Ace says were often aired in the Queendom of Roses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil says they “topped the ratings and won some awards,” and he started getting lead roles in films in elementary school as well, but it didn’t feel special to him, and especially not when compared to what his father was doing.
Vil has voice line about learning table manners when he was in elementary school “for work,” and doing “a fair amount of voice work as a child actor,” which is how he learned about animation techniques.
Vil says he is not familiar with theme parks, having been to one with a dad when he was younger but by the time he started middle school he was so busy with work that he didn’t have the time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Tapis Rouge event they meet a staff member that Vil says he has known since his child actor days, who was a new hire at the time and is now a line producer for a film that his father is producing and acting in.
When asked if he is particularly skilled at flight magic Vil says that while he is not particularly unskilled, his grades in flight class “are merely average.”
Vil says that it isn’t that he is satisfied with his grades, but he is not dying to compete with others, either, as the students with top marks all seem to have had expert magical instruction prior to their enrollment.

In addition to their pajamas/loungewear, how many details have come up in game about the characters clothing preferences or styles and/or potential outfits the students have worn outside of NRC? A few examples or instances come to mind, but I feel like I could be forgetting or missing others. Thanks!
Hello hello! Thank you for this question! 👔
This turned into a much bigger project that I had thought ^^ Starting with Riddle! (as always, if something seems to be confused or missing please do let me know!! Always happy to update with the most relevant and accurate information ♪)
Summary: ・Riddle owns nothing less formal than "smart casual" ・Riddle has been told by his parents to never be without a necktie ・Riddle is uncomfortable wearing clothes casually (re: leaving the collar of his shirt unbuttoned) ・Riddle went shopping for clothes of the formality he is accustomed to in more casual fabrics, together with Ace and Cater
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riddle has an entire conversation with Rook about his outside-of-NRC clothing in his platinum vignette, where he explains that he does not own anything less formal than “smart casual” as his parents have told him that he is never to be without a necktie.
When meeting up with Equestrian Club members for a visit to Foothill Town to purchase club equipment he surprised everyone by dressing in his gym uniform, as he simply did not own any other easy-to-move-in clothing.
Not wanting to make others uncomfortable with his fashion choices, Riddle explains that he went to Cater and Ace for assistance, who recommended that he try dressing down his existing wardrobe by going without a necktie and leaving a top button undone on his shirts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riddle explains, however, that he felt uneasy about going without a properly fastened collar. Instead of wearing his existing clothes in a more casual manner, Riddle went with them into town to purchase clothing to his tastes in more casual fabric (Rook gives the examples of linen and sweat fabric) and with a more casual fit.
As of the platinum vignette conversation it seems that Riddle has not yet had the opportunity to wear his new clothes, but he intends to do so at the next opportunity.
Tumblr media
Riddle has a voice line complimenting the elaborate embroidery of his masquerade outfit, and may have an eye for quality.
He describes his belly shirt of the Stitch event as “an appalling way to wear a shirt," so such a style is possibly not a part of his usual wardrobe.
Tumblr media
Riddle says that he keeps his hair short and would cut his hair himself when he first enrolled at NRC, but Cater did not want him to ("for some reason") so now he goes to a barber in town (Jamil: "You should probably thank Cater for that").

Updated Vil Facts Part 23: Fashion (pt3)
Vil will often mention fashion, mentioning a spring coat and matching accessories during winter and expressing an interest in Scalding Sands designs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He tells a story about a time he used color-changing magic on his and his father’s outfits to hide from paparazzi, turning their neon-colored outfits into different colors like white and pale pink and changing their accessories from silver to gold. Jade observes, “I daresay only a fashionista like yourself could have thought of such a clever ploy.”
Vil says that the best part was his father was telling him how impressed he was, and complimenting his use of color.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Vil goes shopping for jewelry in a Sunset Savanna marketplace Lilia comments that he thought Vil would only be interested in luxury brands. Vil explains, “Brand names aren't important. Quality is. If the craftmanship and materials are top-notch, I'm happy to wear generic items.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He makes a similar comment during Tapis Rouge, saying that “expensive doesn’t always mean high quality. Things can be good quality and cheap, and poor quality but expensive. Which is why you need to learn what to look for.”
Vil also explains the design of Pomefiore’s vampire costumes, and—according to Ruggie—will “nag” Leona about his fashion choices.
Vil is delighted by the fashion in his own dream world, saying that he tends to avoid gaudy designs when he is not on a job, but he might try his dream-look for himself when they return to NRC.

Dream Summary: Epel Felmier
Malleus sends all of Sage’s Island to sleep in Book 7 so that they might enjoy “unending happiness,” and for Epel this seems to manifest as a dream world where he is extremely large, with wanting to become big, strong and tough being an integral part of Epel’s character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Epel’s exaggerated appearance is explained by Silver: Epel lacks the imagination to visualize how his face would change in order to adapt to a larger body, so in his dream his face has remained the same despite the other changes he has undergone.
Idia confirms that Epel must have a weak imagination, which will possibly make him easier to awaken than strong characters like Lilia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another part of Epel’s dream is his freedom to speak in the dialect of his hometown, making it possible that, in the world of his dream, the violent interaction he had with Vil during his orientation did not happen, and thus Vil has never ordered him to speak more politely.
Epel is quick to take offense and start a fight with Sebek, and when Grim says that he is actually one of the shortest students in the first-year class Epel explains that he is actually the tallest student in the first-year class, and taller than Vil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Epel nearly wakes up when Ortho asks when it was exactly that he became taller than Vil, but then darkness appears, taking on the forms of Vil and Rook to distract from the paradox and keep Epel asleep.
Dream-Rook compliments Epel’s physique and says that Epel has been asked to seriously consider transferring to Savanaclaw, which is another consistent character point for Epel.
Dream-Vil flatters Epel by saying that he is a true embodiment of the Fairest Queen’s spirit of tenacity, pleasing Epel extremely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grim reminds Epel of what he learned in Book 5 and of the VDC and how he and Deuce were excited about using the strengths they already have that are unique to them, waking up Epel.
The dream-versions of Rook and Vil promise to restore his muscled body to him and Epel says that they would never speak like that to him, as the strength and brawn and beauty that he wants is for him to decide and for him to claim for himself.
Epel is surprised to be confronted with his own dream-version of himself, wondering how it was that he ever thought he looked cool.

Updated Vil Facts Part 21: Fashion (pt2)
When the final accessory (a 100-carat tiara) for Vil’s red carpet look fails to arrive in time he refuses every alternative that is offered to him, explaining, “my goal here is not to simply garb myself in the finest garments and gems” and telling them to forget jewelry altogether and come up with a new approach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The shop staff attempt to give up and Vil inspires them to keep trying (“Quite groveling and show me what you can DO!”), but it is ultimately Vil himself who arrives at a solution after Grim accidentally pulls down the curtains of a fitting room on top of himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil comes up with the idea of turning the curtains into a cape, and then with a theatrical way to debut it, opening an apple-shaped box on the red carpet that lets out a puff of smoke to reveal him dressed in his outfit’s final form (Vil: “Feast your eyes on the fairest in the land!”).
When asked about the outfit he explains that the cape allows his own beauty to shine through, preferable to relying on “gaudy jewelry” to dress things up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil promises Ace fashion advice during his second birthday vignette, providing it during the Tapis Rouge event.
Vil has also given Rook fashion advice in the past, once recommending that he dress up for a play for which he had front-row seats, despite how Rook himself didn’t have any interest in dressing up. Rook explains that Vil gave him wonderful advice and even coordinated his entire ensemble.

Vil explains how he prefers to dress up when he goes to see plays as an audience member, which he considers to be part of the fun of seeing a play: “Getting ready to see a show makes me feel so excited... ‘pumped,’ even.”

HELLO YUUREI!! tysm for your wonderful work like always and if it's alright to ask, has yuu/prefect ever had people/characters treating them differently or negatively because of their status as magicless? especially in a school like nrc? in the game or in any other media? I'm curious since magic is a big deal in twst ^^ you can include interpretations if you want!!
HELLO HELLO ^^ Thank you for this question! 🦐
Yes yes, where the magicless status of the prefects in the manga is maybe not a very big problem, things are very different for the prefect of the novel!
Tumblr media
The reasoning behind Ace's teasing in the prologue of the game is a little vague, though he does make a point of emphasizing that the prefect "can't even use magic," despite being summoned by the Dark Mirror.
In the novel, however, Ace explains outright that he was hostile towards the prefect from the moment they met specifically because they were magicless and admitted to NRC despite not putting in any of the effort that the rest of them had:
"Oh, come on!" Ace yanked his head back up. "I said I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know your whole deal, and I said some stuff that was maybe kind of mean. It's just, I heard there was this guy with no magic at the school, and I figured you had bullied your way in here or something. Like, the rest of us had to work our butts off to get in, and you just sorta waltzed right in. It bugged me, all right? Like, hey, no fair!" - Twisted Wonderland the first novel (official translation)

While the prefect does not suffer any bullying from Deuce there is a point where Deuce confesses that he didn't just "show off" his magic to magicless people (as he says in the game), but he actually bullied magicless like Yuuya pre-NRC:
And then Deuce lowered his voice, his expression more anguished than ever, as if this were the hardest thing for him to admit. "And...I'd put down guys who couldn't use magic. Pushed myself up by making a big show of my magic, bragged about how I was different from them. I mean, I was a garbage kind of guy." If they had met back then, Yuya would no doubt have been Deuce's target. - Twisted Wonderland the first novel (official translation)
And Yuuya is also insulted and mocked by various NRC students for being magicless at the school!

I hope this helps! ^^
