Since I am very busy with certain irl personal stuff, I decided that the next library collection post will be a free event sort of thing! Submissions and asks are opened for people to send in some fic recs featuring Zarlie. You can send in recs and leave a brief commentary about why you loved it and why you recommend it to others as well! 

Just follow the general guidelines of this post and I’ll accept the submission/rec.

A submission for the library. It’s Zamaya-centric, with some gen scenes of Zari bonding with other Legends too. There’s angst, but it’s heartwarming.

Fic summary:

Slowly, Zari comes to realize that she's home. Falling for Amaya helps with that.

For want of anything better to say, she grumbles, “I hope yours are less vivid than mine. There’s only so many times I can dream of a police state before I just have to stop sleeping out of sheer boredom.”

Amaya gives her a strange look.

Commentary: An excellent gem between romance and friendship for Zari staying with the chaotic crew! I appreciated how you dived into her past and her emotions on the events that occurred as she struggles to find her place within them. Actually makes me feel like I’m watching a ‘filler’ episode for the show and getting attached to everyone! The gen stuff is precious and a bonus treat for me. It’s also very rare to see fics that can display Amaya and Zari share banter yet remain sweet and wholesome at the same time. They’re the epitome of how opposites get drawn together.  A journey worth reading and a story rooting for! Thanks for being the first submission!

Zari decides during one of the loops to finally tell Amaya how she feels.

Comments: Zari’s conflict about telling Amaya her feelings or not is enough tension to get me at edge. It contains gorgeous prose, Zari being able to express her raw emotions and Amaya’s reaction is complete <3. There’s an underlying sense of sadness towards the end and I love the title is a reference to The Good Place reboot number!

Zari tells Amaya that nothing they do in the time loop matters. Amaya takes the opportunity to wonder ‘why not’.

Comments: A short and angsty read about Zari and Amaya sharing an intimate moment only Zari would remember for this particular loop. It gets a little heated up in the end!

Ever since the time loops, Zari hasn’t been able to sleep, so she’s taken to practicing the violin at odd hours. One night, Amaya stumbles upon her.

Comments: Post-s03e11 fic where in Zari plays the violin and Amaya finds her. It’s a sweet read, where you can see their feelings for each other displayed without either of them saying the words. It adds a bit of dimension to both of them. Plus, the little banter between Z and Gideon is hilarious.

Even if she knows that whatever happens will end badly—that eventually Amaya is going to leave—Zari needs to know. If this time loop is good for anything, it’s good for a love confession.

Comments: Okay, it’s a little longer than the previous fics featured, but I loved every single attempt Zari did! There’s heart-wrenching moments where she just knows the ships going to go boom and she also fails to tell Amaya the extent of her true feelings. This fic made me want to root for her even as she’s caught in the endless restlessness the loops putting her through. Even it acknowledges  Amaya’s problems and Zari tries to help her out. The author’s writing style is evocative and artistic. A must-read!

Comments: *keyboard smashes* An ultimate soft fic of Amaya and Zari in the timeloop in three different scenarios. The second scenario is my favorite because of the moment shared there. Definitely a master-piece for me, in terms of fics related to Here I Go Again, a classic episode I think most Zari Tomaz fans love. This definitely sended me and hit me with feels.

Plus, if there’s somebody who’d rec explicit fics, I can’t check it because I don’t have much interest and don’t feel comfy in reading fics with super heated scenes.

Welcome to the official Zamaya-Zarlie library!

Hi, this is an opening post to the first Zamaya-Zarlie library, where you can finds fics related to either pairing! If you have interest, give a follow and send in your recs!

What is this blog for?

You see after checking the AO3 tags of the ships, I decided to create this blog as a sort of solace for those who wish to read fics solely based on these ships! Fics can be from the fandom, old or new, past seasons or current ones as long as they feature either two of the four ladies in the spotlight!

How does it work?

Mods will provide recs, in addition to fans and shippers sending in a few of their own through the ask box or submissions! Titles will be provided as well as link, author, summaries, any warnings, and personal commentary. Slots for mods are open right now and if you wish to join, slide into my DMs!

General Blog Rules:

Always put matured or explicit ratings at the start of an ask or submission.

Submissions and Asks recs are welcome. However, if the fic features racist, Islamaphobic, offensive, or harmful content, the submission or ask will be deleted.

If you send a rec with an ask, make sure that the Ao3 tag is included: eg archiveofourown.org/works/23987236, so that we can easily find and link it.

Make sure that Zamaya or Zarlie are at the focus of the fic, instead on the side or background.

Happy to receive guests for any particular themes or tropes.
