“HUH.” A science teacher. Even though it wasn’t up to her, Lana preferred counseler Stella much better. “If you don’t mind me saying, you’re such a fantastic person and counselor, I’m sure, and well … it’s almost for the best?” She smiled tentatively.
“About me?” Lana tapped her fingers against the wheel. What was she going to say … “Well, I lived here for a while”—Was it a while? Briarcliff made a day seem like a week—“And I’m currently working on my book, finishing it. I’m hoping to get a deal. Kit’s my closest friend. I think I’m doing okay, so …” She shrugged her shoulders. “Things are okay.”
Stella grinned a little, knowing that it sounded a bit outlandish. If she was a science teacher, she’d be a little chaotic since she’s more curious than she is professional. So, the blonde nodded in agreement. “Yeah, probably. I would blow something up if someone put me in charge of a classroom.” she joked.
She had heard all the horror stories about Briarcliff. She felt so bad that such a nice woman like Lana had to go through such a terrible time. Stella was just thankful that the writer was safe now. She took Lana’s hand and squeezed it gently.
“Okay is amazing. Okay is a great feeling when you’ve been through some rough shit.” Stella would know that more than anyone. “A book though? That sounds pretty exciting! What’s it about?”

Send me a ☀ for a popular plot trope inspired starter!
You can find a random generator here.
Babysitter x Parent: Person A is a busy single parent who happens to be desperate to find a nanny for their five year old child. Person B recently got laid off and since they have experience working with children, decide to take up babysitting until they can find another job with better pay. One evening, Person B gets rained in at Person A’s house and Person A insists they stay over on the couch to avoid getting into an accident since the roads are so terrible. After the child goes to bed, A and B open a bottle of wine and begin talking. The next morning, Person B wakes up in Person A’s bed, regretting the decision to sleep with them but not enough to keep it from happening again and again.
Coffee Shop: Person A is a barista at the local hole in the wall coffee shop. Person B is new to the town and is starting to become a regular at the quiet little cafe with the best latte art they have ever seen but little do they know, the art is all for them after they’ve caught Person A’s attention. Will Person A ever gather up the courage to ask Person B out, or will they just continue with their art in hopes of Person B approaching them?
Fake Dating: Person A has a huge family and every other relative their age either has kids or is married/in a serious relationship, this makes family dinners uncomfortable since they are constantly teased about being single for whatever reason. Person B is Person A’s housemate but they are not particularly close. The extent of their relationship is that they live in the same space and have a few classes together/work in the same building. After A finds out that B is free for the weekend, the same weekend A is expected to go home to visit, A begs B to pose as their significant other in hopes of avoiding any further torment from their family members but what turns out to be a small lie, grows rapidly to the point where A and B find themselves having to lie to A’s family more often than what was originally intended.
Friends With Benefits: Person A and B have been in the same group of friends since Junior High and now that they’re older, everyone else has seemed to found love, leaving A and B the only singles in the group. After a while, everyone stops hanging out as much as their free time is taken up by work, family, and their significant others, leaving A and B with loads of free time to be spent together. They love their relationship as friends too much to risk going out on dates and becoming a couple, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get lonely and have needs. Will anything change once they agree to have sex ? Will sleeping together bring them closer or push them apart?
Hate Sex: Person A and B have known each other since they were kids because their parents are best friends and never once have they ever agreed on anything. Playdates turned into boxing matches and debates turned into full blown arguments with screaming and name calling involved. They somehow end up in the same room together, alone, and arguing over the smallest thing quickly ensues. Instead of throwing punches, Person A pushes Person B against the wall and kisses them. Kissing quickly turns into pulling each other’s clothes off and having sex, but this doesn’t change the way they feel or how they treat each other. At least not at first.
Jock x Nerd: Person A is the star of their school’s sports team, Person B is on the road to Valedictorian. A’s grades threaten to kick them off the team, tutoring would look good on B’s college applications. B signs up but is disappointed to find out that the person they have to tutor is A, someone that has bullied them since they met in middle school, but refuses to drop out of the tutoring program and decides to make the best of it.
Seven Minutes in Heaven: Person A is having a party, Person B somehow gets invited and decides to go despite how nervous they are. They don’t know each other personally, and it’s B’s first ever party. What happens when a bunch of teenagers get together and are unsupervised? Hook ups. This time in the form of being alone in a dark closet with someone a spinning bottle chose for you. In this case, B spun the bottle and upon stopping, it pointed at A. Great.
Teacher x Student: Person A just got their first teaching job at a High School, despite their teacher friends’ warnings of teaching teenagers. They’ve heard it all before; “they can smell fear,” “they will purposely try to make you feel uncomfortable since you’re not that much older than them,” and the ever popular “they will eat you alive,” but no one warned them about the whole “developing feelings for a student that holds eye contact a little too long” thing. That’s where Person B comes in, fresh out of a break up and looking for a distraction. The new History teacher is young enough and isn’t too bad to look at either. Oh and look at that, no ring on their finger! What’s the worst that can happen if an affair with them isn’t found out about? They should both be asking themselves what’s the worst that could happen if they get caught.

LANA couldn’t stop herself from smiling again. Stella made her laugh so easily, something she thought was impossible after Briarcliff. She never thought there could be a happy ending for her … but maybe there could be.
“You got it.” As Lana followed Stella’s directions, she couldn’t help but wonder about Stella. “Tell me more about yourself. We get along so well, but we hardly know each other!”
Stella glanced up when Lana spoke. She wasn’t great at talking about herself, but for Lana, she would try her best.
“Well, I’ve lived here for a few years now. I uh... Went to college, got my degree for counseling and found a job here.” She shyly spoke. “If I had it my way, I would be a science teacher instead. But I didn’t have enough money for that schooling. And.... That’s about it.”
“And what about you? Tell me more about you.”

LANA snickered at how quickly Stella had dismissed Kit. She hugged him too and whispered, “Don’t give me that look. We’re friends.”
Louder, she said, “Next time, I promise. Stella and I are going to have fun—without people.”
Lana turned to Stella. “Absolutely. Let’s go!”
Just friends. Friends my ass, Kit thought to himself. “Yeah, alright. Have fun you two. I’ll see you guys around!”
Stella started to lead Lana out to the front of the house so they could get going. She hadn’t met someone that she connected with so much in ages. It was the first time in a while that she felt alive.
When they got into the car, the blonde couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear.
“So, you’re gonna go out to the left and keep going straight for a while. The Diner’s on the right, so I’ll keep an eye out for it.”

LANA laughed at the kids before turning to Kit, fully aware of Stella’s arm through hers. She glared at his mischievous, knowing look. “You’re welcome. And yes, we’re going to get some food.”
That was it. Lana didn’t know why he had to look at her like that.
She turned to Stella. “Where to?”
Stella grinned at Lana. Kit had known the both of them for a very long time. He didn’t really think about it, but Lana and Stella might’ve actually been a good fit for each other. He gave them a surprised face.
“What? I’m cookin’ food here, what gives?” he said to them.
“Yeah, but you’re obviously busy with your guests. Don’t worry. We’ll come and visit another time.” Stella replied before giving him a hug. Kit sighed.
“Whatever. You two have fun. But seriously, ya gotta come over for dinner sometime so I can show you around the place.”
Stella agreed to it, then went back to being close to Lana. “I think there’s a diner a couple blocks down. You drive, I can direct you?”

WHEN Stella hooked their arms together, Lana thought she would faint from happiness. She was so close.
“M-milkshakes? Sounds like a good plan. I’m in. We should probably say bye to the kids and Kit; I know they would want to see you.”
Today was a great day. Lana never went out on dates—friend dates—but going with Stella felt so natural.
It’d been a while since Stella had gone out with anyone. The way Lana made her feel was like no other, and she never wanted that feeling to end. They eventually found the kids and Kit.
The children hugged Stella around the legs. “We’re so happy you could make it!” Julia exclaimed. Thomas nodded excitedly. The blonde smiled widely. “Thank your Aunt Lana for inviting me. I’ve had a wonderful time, and your home is so beautiful!” The kids ran off, leaving only the two of them and Kit. He wasn’t stupid. He could tell there was something going on between the two of them.
“Thanks for coming guys. So uh... Leaving so soon?” he asked, his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Lana made her feel different. Usually, Stella was quite reserved. But for some reason, she felt as if she could tell Lana anything. She chuckled and hooked arms with the brunette.
“Perhaps you could come with me? We could sneak out together and go get milkshakes at that diner across the street.”
Stella’s cheeks began to heat up. She’d been with women once or twice before. Most of her past relationships were with men, but there was something about Lana that didn’t compare to any of them. She was charming, funny, intelligent, and gorgeous. No man could top that.
“Well… I’m glad you said that. The only reason I really showed up was because I wanted to see you, too.” She paused for a moment. She was definitely a little embarrassed. Stella wasn’t known for her flirting skills. “I hope that’s not odd or anything. I just- I don’t know. You’re nice to talk to.”
LANA could see the slight blush on Stella’s cheeks, and she took that as a good sign. (Still, a nagging voice in her head said, what about Wendy?) No, Stella was not Wendy. She was a different person because no one could replace Wendy. And that was fine. Surely.
Stella’s next words made Lana smile again. Putting her out of her misery, she raised Stella’s hand to her lips and kissed it. “It’s not odd at all, I understand. You’re sweet. I enjoy talking to you too.”

A fire started in the pit of her stomach. Lana’s lips were so soft against her hands. Stella couldn’t help but get a little giddy. She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. She probably looked like an idiot.
Stella was a little speechless. All she could do was stare deep into Lana’s dark, luring eyes. Her heart was racing.
“Erm... So, should we go find the kids? I wanted to say hi before I left.”
Stella’s cheeks began to heat up. She’d been with women once or twice before. Most of her past relationships were with men, but there was something about Lana that didn’t compare to any of them. She was charming, funny, intelligent, and gorgeous. No man could top that.

“HE’S been holding out on me!” Lana pretended to frown. “I guess it’s just his natural charm.”
Lana blushed and broke their eye contact at Stella’s question. “Uh, probably not. I just … wanted to see you again.”
She kicked the ground in embarrassment. Shit, was that too much? She didn’t even know if Stella was gay—like her—so she shouldn’t have said anything.

LANA nodded sympathetically at Stella’s words, listening to her story and filing it away for later. So she was a … troubled soul, just like Lana. “I’m sorry to hear that.”
Lana licked her lips and blurted out, “Kit is a nice guy. He-he helped me too. With this man. Kit helped me outwit him and escape him. So I’m doing my best to repay him.”
Lana grinned when Stella clinked their glasses together. Her nostalgic mood still lingered, but with Stella, it faded away. “Yeah, we are. I’m never going to be like that again.” She didn’t have to specify, but Lana meant Briarcliff. Her past. Bloody Face—though he was long gone. That sad, weak shadow of a person she once was. Never again.
“Me neither.” She took a slight pause. Growing up with parents like hers definitely made her troubled. Her mother being a drug addict and her father being an alcoholic, she ran away from home right out of middle school. She’d been a poor, crime ridden child. Until Kit saved her.
Stella straightened her posture a little before looking around at the yard. “Kit sure is a popular guy. I never knew he had this many friends. I mean, it’s not surprising, but there’s definitely a lot more people here than I expected.”
She made eye contact with Lana and smiled a little. “Did you intend on coming if I didn’t show up? I have a feeling you’re not a people person either.”

Twila was still pretty groggy. She wasn’t exactly ready to be up and around yet, but the clinking of the metal cart had woken her up. The brunette gazed at the room around her. A hospital... Someone must’ve brought her here after the accident.
All she could remember was that there was a break in at the University. She did all she could to protect her students and the other staff members, but she didn’t even think about protecting herself. All she remembered was hearing three gun shots going off and then everything fading to black.
The fluorescent lighting was so bright that it gave her a migraine. She felt faint pain in her shoulder. She had no idea that she had gotten hit during the shooting. Though, she tried to give the lady a small smile.
“Thanks...” Twila replied in a weak tone. She cleared her throat a little bit. “Did... Did everyone make it out okay? Was anyone hurt?”

“Good morning,”
Her voice was soft, so as not to startle or disturb the person in bed before her. She quietly rolled a cart along, a plate consitsting of an average breakfast sitting on top of it. This was a new patient, a new room. She had to be cautious and kind. She was only still a medical assistant, not yet a full nurse but still able to complete simple tasks. But boy was she close to certification.
“You don’t have to eat just yet,” Flora added, knowing she herself hated eating early in the morning. There was something about it that she didn’t like.
“But maybe you should try soon, okay?” She finished, her eyes soft. She had yet to get to know this patient. She wasn’t sure of the best approach, but trying couldnt hurt.

clockworkrotten:
Tumblr media
{♥} – The AI did not possess her father’s ability to mask her identity; however, if she’d learned one thing from observing him since her ignition as a sentient being, it was that if you walked the right walk, talked the right talk, and wore the right clothes, an arguably convincing disguise was still a tangible concept.
So, Rottenella stood in front of a full-body mirror hung on a wall of the first store she’d set eye on in this new & unfamiliar town, the reflection she saw staring back at her unfashionably disgusting & distasteful. Perfect. It was drab enough to blend her in to her surroundings, baggyenough to conceal the clockwork key protruding out from her back, and inexpensive enough for nobody to suspect it was an outfit of her choice. A stark difference to the superfluous ballet dress she always wore, and not in her usual purple, either.
She quietly observed the woman approaching behind her in the mirror’s refelction, a slow & barely-there smile creeping on to her features, which were mostly shadowed by the large-capped hat she was donning, hair tied up & hidden beneath it. At this angle, it would be almost possible to decipher whether she was a boy or a girl, her flat, robotic voice only making that marginally easier a task, ❝No shoot, Sherlock! I wouldn’t be caught dead in these rags, on a regular day.❞ Rottenella spun around to face the taller female, clasping her hands eagerly in front of her stiffly poised body as her glass eyes rolled up to meet her gaze, ❝Is it really dreadful? Truly…?❞
Tumblr media
Rosie felt a little bad for the girl. It seemed as if she was trying really hard. Maybe too hard. She crossed her arms and examined the outfit. She knew it was probably the worst she’d ever seen. But she wasn’t one for being rude. The brunette let one of her hands rest on the stranger’s shoulder.
“No, no, no, darling! Not dreadful. Just... Not right for you.” She began. “If you want a new look, then you need something that flatters you. Here, give me five minutes.”
Rosie rushed off and started rummaging through the racks. The other seemed to have a nice body, but if she was so worried about things being baggy, then it needed to be in style. She grabbed a pair of black jeans, a dark purple blouse, a loose fitting leather jacket, and some flats. She brought it all back to where the girl was and dumped it all into her arms.
“Try all of this on. I got you some tasteful baggy clothes. So you can be stylish and comfortable. Go on, go on! I want to see how it looks on you!”

“You’re tellin’ me ya don’t like apples, but ya never even tried one?” Annie Jo scoffed at the other person. As the owner of her family’s apple farm, she felt obligated to clock the stranger at the whole food’s market that she’d been trying to sell to.
“Now, I know you’ll change yer mind once ya tried one of mah apples. Been growin’ em for generations, and we’ve never had any complaints.” She held out a ripe, red honeycrisp up to the customer. “Try this one. It’s on the house.”

Annie raised her brow. As she got closer, she noticed that it was a girl. She looked a little younger than her, and maybe a little distressed. The blonde held the basket at her side between her hip and her arm. This girl wasn’t hurting anyone, so she wasn’t as bothered as before.
“Nah, don’t worry ‘bout it!” She said. She stood next to the girl and put a small smile on her face. “Sorry, I thought ya were one of those thieves that have been takin’ our crop.” She held out her free hand to introduce herself.
“I’m Annie Jo Smith, owner of Sweet Apple Acres. You can just call me Annie Jo. This here’s mah family’s farm. Ya new in town or somethin’?”

𝕭illie did not have her day, at all. The press and the paparazzi were so disrespectfull to her and her family that she decided to hop in her car and drive away from it all.
After driving around for a while she found a farm. The horses caught her attention immediately so she did not hesitate to park her car, climb over the fence and to hug the precious animals. It didn’t even cross her mind that she was about to enter someone else’s property in that moment.
She didn’t want to annoy the horses too long so after a while she climbed on the fence and sat down on it, drowning in her thoughts. That was until a unfamiliar voice took her back to reality, making her jump slighty.
“ O-oh! I-I..” Her eyes were widened in shock, stottering nervously. “ I’m so sorry! I’ll leave. sorry!” She wuickly jumped off the fence.
