Smallville's Jonathan Kent is actually a great example of "if you believe the world is divided into Good people and Bad people and you believe you are a Good person, then you will believe everything you do is Good and therefore justified by virtue of you being a Good person, and that's how you end up harming the people around you without even realizing it or noticing it or caring".
Unfortunately, Smallville also believes Jonathan Kent is a Good person, so this is mostly wasted potential.
