Yikes, Yikes, Put Down the Pitchforks
Seeking approval from opposing shippers is pointless. Confidence in your ship must come from within, not from those determined to deny it. Worrying about their opinions only feeds their egos and grants them the validation they crave.
I don’t need anyone to confirm that Yuki loved Zero—her actions, her loyalty, and the life they built together spoke louder than any words could.
The real reason many shippers resent Zero isn’t because of who he is, but because he stood in the way of their idealized version of Yuki and Kaname. Zero didn’t just exist as an "obstacle"—he actually lived out the life they dreamed Kaname would have with Yuki.
*EDIT: Only after Kaname's rebirth and Zero’s death was Kaname able to pursue Yuki with zero resistance (haha, funny joke we're all laughing)—but even then, Zero lived on inside her. In that way, Kaname will forever be haunted by the one man he could never truly defeat.
That reality urks them to no end, because no amount of denial can undo what the story made clear: Yuki loved Zero, and Zero loved Yuki.
Despite the immense pain they faced, they refused to break apart—they chose to move forward together. And I think that's beautiful.
Whatever comes next is in Hino’s hands, but for many Zero and Yuki shippers, the happy ending has already been written. We got the bond, the love, the life together.
Maybe that’s why so many of us remain quietly on the sidelines—we don’t need to fight for what we already have.
And let me be clear: I don’t care if this post pisses off opposing shippers. It wasn’t written for them. If they choose to read it and get angry, that’s their own choice—and their own problem. I'm keeping it out of the VK tag and tagging anti yume, so there's that too.
#zekiship#anti yume#read at your own risk#but do not come for me#since the tags are clearly warning you#and to be honest idgaf at the moment#hormones and good music have me feeling all sorts of ways#PLUS one of my fav bl stories has come to an end#please send me recs so that my heart heals

"There's only two types of people in the world—The ones that entertain, and the ones that observe"
More under the cut.
The Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Memories fandom feels like a circus sometimes—full of unnecessary shipping wars, old grudges, and drama that just doesn't need to exist.
It’s wild how some people continue to hold onto bitter feelings from over a decade ago. Like… seriously? We're talking about a fictional story with make-believe characters.
It was never that deep. It was never that serious.
And what’s even weirder is how some fans try to police what others say instead of just having the humility to hit block and move on. Not everything needs to be a public meltdown.
I’ve experienced more than my fair share of hate over the years—it doesn’t bother me, but it is sad to see long-time fans going after newbies over beef they didn’t even know existed. How is that welcoming? How is that love for the series? It's exhausting, and honestly, kind of embarrassing.
You will never catch me calling people names, making hate pages, ostracizing others over who they ship, or going head-to-head with people who don’t even care what I have to say. That’s not who I am, and that’s not what being a fan should look like imo.
Like, how many times do I have to say I’m not here to fight? I’m old. My knees crack when I stand up. If I drink a can of soda, I get heartburn that lasts three business days. I genuinely do not have the time—or the energy—to hate or wish ill on people I’ve never even met.
And the irony? No matter how calmly or honestly I word this, some people will still get upset—just because of who they think I am, and the history tied to zekiship.
That’s fandom for you.
#vampire knight#zekiship#zero kiryuu#yuuki kiryuu#ren kiryuu#ai kiryuu#ramblings#Full disclosure I was listening to Britney Spears when I wrote this#literally do not read this if you wanna fight#just block me#ofc the conclusion of vkm is important#but as a zeki shipper i was already given exactly what i wanted: to see zero kiryuu happy and at peace#like#there's nothing more i could ask for#this message is for people on both isles#we are all guilty of this type of behavior at one point or another#what matters is if we've matured#or if we're stuck in the past#note to zero stans: wind breaker has a VERY attractive silver-haired man#please watch it#i need friends to talk about this with#lol

The universe just keeps on giving—first the Fruits Basket remake in 2019, and now a Shugo Chara reboot?! With all my favorite cat boys making a comeback, too?! My childhood crushes are returning one by one, and honestly, I’m living for it.

A Note Before Bed
I wasn’t “exiled”—I stepped away from Tumblr because the environment, both on the platform and in fandoms generally, became overwhelmingly negative.
I wanted to enjoy Vampire Knight again, without constant ship wars or drama. I block for peace, not to craft a narrative. Stirring up old conflicts doesn’t serve anyone, and I'm too old to be yelling at strangers on the internet.
It would have been nice if, in the end, we could have communicated with more kindness. Much like Cross’s desire to achieve vampire and human coexistence—something that remained mostly unattainable—zeki and yume’s potential to get along always seemed just beyond reach.
It’s disappointing, but it seems like the Vampire Knight fandom will stay toxic until the bitter end.
I’d also like to give a huge thank you to @eternallovezeki. Over the past decade, we’ve laughed, cried, and shared countless memories together while enjoying Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Memories.
Your friendship and insight into the series have truly been one of the best parts of my life. I’m so proud to call you my best friend.
#zekiship#zekiship talks#ramblings#I'll stick with the Shugo Chara fandom for now#And obviously bl#My husband picked up “Lethal Dose of Love” and I'm so pumped to read it#The artwork is beautiful

If that’s the takeaway you got from my post, that’s totally fine. But you did miss the actual point — endings matter. I’m not here to “plant seeds,” change your opinion, or stir up a ship war. I didn’t even demean any ships — I stated my perspective. If it didn’t resonate with you, you could’ve just scrolled on.
But instead, you’re talking about me with your mutuals and anons like it’s a sport. Alright, cool. Just know that trying to tear me down with tired, mean-spirited comments isn’t clever — it’s cliché.
I’m at peace with Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight: Memories. Like I said before, it doesn’t matter who ships who or which characters people prefer — what really matters is the personal connection you have to the story.
For me, I don’t want Zero to be brought back to life. His death meant something. Undoing it would strip away the weight and significance it carried. Not every ending needs to be rewritten.
Why am I even addressing you? Honestly — because I’ve grown. I’ve learned to respond with clarity instead of pettiness. Growth looks like that.
Now the real question is: have you evolved, or are you still stuck in the same tired cycle?
LOL. She just said a whole lot of nothing before claiming that hino is trying to prolong her career by bringing Yuuki back. Imagine being this delusional instead of admitting you read the whole story wrong bc of your dumb second place ship lol
But they would love it if zero came back and loved vkm even tho zero was dead lol. This is about them being salty death isn’t the end for Kaname and Yuuki unlike how it is for someone else.

#I did not come here to fight or start a ship war#I'm also not about to tear down people for a difference in opinion#Like dude#I'm just gonna stick to reading bl#This is way too much for my 29+ year old self#I do not have the anger to drag this on#and no#i was not saying that hino bringing back yuki was a ploy to prolong her career#that doesn't even make sense#especially with my other posts

"Ya'll Don't Want to Hear Me, You Just Wanna Dance"
More under the cut.
This post will ruffle some feathers, but I’m saying it anyway. If it’s not for you, keep it moving. This is not a shipping debate.
Storywise, it does not make sense for Kaname to dismiss Yuki’s sacrifice and desire for him to live a peaceful, human life. Not only does that undermine the significance of her final decision, but it also diminishes the emotional weight of Vampire Knight's conclusion and everything that has transpired in Vampire Knight Memories up to this point.
Yuki endured immense emotional trauma and made the ultimate choice to gift Kaname a second chance—not just at life, but at a different kind of existence, free from the burdens of his past. Before Rido forcefully awakened him, Kaname had intentionally sealed himself away, hoping to fade into oblivion—essentially choosing to end his own life.
Bringing Yuki back or undoing that sacrifice doesn’t just erase her agency; it also dismisses the growth and suffering of everyone who carried on during the time Kaname was sealed away. Yuki's death wasn’t just an end—it was a resolution. Ignoring that cheapens both her legacy and Kaname’s potential for change.
At its core, Yuki’s sacrifice embodies the purity of forgiveness. It’s not about staying together at any cost, but about providing each other the freedom to live, heal, and mature.
The true essence of love in this story is not in clinging to the past, but in honoring the choices made, the sacrifices given, and the personal evolution each character undergoes. This theme is especially evident in the actions of characters like Aido and Zero, whose journeys reflect this evolution.
On a broader narrative level, constantly undoing death or reversing final decisions strips stories of their stakes. If death has no permanence, sacrifices lose their meaning. Part of what makes stories like this resonate is the tension between hope and loss, the way characters change because of hardship. By respecting Yuki’s death, Kaname is given the space to evolve—not just as a person, but as someone who truly understands the cost of happiness and the importance of letting go. *Supernatural is guilty of killing off characters only to bring them back a season later—which caused true deaths to hold hardly any significance.
Do I have any idea what a satisfying ending for Vampire Knight Memories would be? Not really. I think part of that comes from the lack of story development and the gaps in the narrative.
Part of what made the Vampire Knight ending so significant was that it was final—we knew the story was over, and we wouldn’t be seeing the characters again.
I don’t know. Maybe this post is just my way of expressing the belief that stories only retain their significance if authors remain true to their conclusions, rather than using them as a springboard to prolong their careers.

Mini Rant?
Fandom almost ruined VK and VKM for me, so I stepped away from Tumblr for years. I didn’t want negative experiences with individuals to overshadow a series that meant so much to me throughout my teenage years, you know?
It has always felt like shippers in this fandom are stuck in the past and haven't taken the time to reflect and grow. Most of us were teenagers when we first started reading this series, so by now, we should all be adults—so why aren’t we acting like it?
What someone else ships should not impact your opinion of a story or who you ship because fandom is subjective, and everyone interprets characters and relationships differently. At the end of the day, it's your experience and connection to the story that matters most.
There will always be people who remain stuck in the past, but don’t let them hold you back from moving forward, growing as a person, and enjoying the things you love.
On a personal note, I’ve been able to move past much of what happened in this fandom when I was younger, and that has allowed me to appreciate and enjoy VK and VKM even more. I no longer worry about what others think of the characters I love because my connection to them is mine and mine alone.
If that perspective makes me the odd one out, so be it.

It seems that Hino couldn't finish the chapter before the deadline. There are several unfinished panels—does this mean she's unwell, or is she struggling to find a way to conclude the series?
There are so many unanswered questions!

Brief Thoughts on Ren and Ai
Ai and Ren’s existence immortalizes Yuki, Zero, and Kaname, proving that even after Yuki and Zero pass away, and Kaname's former self "dies", their legacy endures through those who remember them and carry their will forward.

Disappointed But Not Surprised
I am deeply disappointed by the recent translation work provided by a certain group. It has become increasingly clear that certain biases are affecting the accuracy and integrity of their translations.
In addition, I was appalled to discover that critical dialogue and pages have been omitted from the translated content, which compromises the intent and context.
This selective editing is troubling, as it undermines the trust that readers place in fan translations. Providing a faithful, unbiased version of the original content is essential, especially when dealing with sensitive or complex subject matter.
There is a serious lack of integrity in fan translations today, and I stand by that assertion. Anyone involved in these translations should take a moment to reflect on the impact of their actions. The choices made during the translation process shape the final product, and it's crucial to consider how those choices affect the authenticity and message of the original content.
If translation groups struggle to present an accurate and unbiased translation of media due to personal biases, they should consider enlisting someone impartial to handle the translations. It is equally important for translation groups to ensure that their work is not misrepresented or exploited through stolen uploads.
A message to my followers: I strongly encourage you to purchase a copy of the original media, not only to support the author but also to experience the story as it was truly intended, without distortion or omission. Even if there's a language barrier, the visuals alone can convey a great deal about the story, offering a richer and more authentic experience.

Surprise! I'm Engaged!

I’m thrilled to share a little glimpse of my life with all of you amazing people. Your support over the years means the world to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
My amazing partner made my ring truly one of a kind by including the color purple—a hue that holds so much meaning for me (and for many of you too!). To make it even more magical, the flowers that day happened to be purple as well—pure serendipity!
Every time I wear my ring, it feels like a heartfelt connection to all of you, a reminder of the beautiful memories we’ve created together. It also brings a bit of Vampire Knight—especially Zero—into my everyday life, as though a part of that beloved world is always with me.
I love you all so dearly.

Hey, it seems like there wasn't much dialogue in the fan scans that were just released. Are the scans accurate? Thank you so much in advance for clarifying anything for those who can’t buy the Japanese book and need to wait for the release of the official english volumes.
Hello, anon. I have not reviewed the fan scans, so I can't confirm if their release is accurate or not. There is a relatively decent amount of dialogue in the chapter, but nothing unusual. The only pages that lack a lot of dialogue are the two-page spreads. Do you have a specific page/ pages in mind?
