thinking about cuddling with todoroki and sleeping on different sides of his chest every other night if it was too cold or too hot

and him noticing it one late evening and just finding it to be subtly cute and goes to hold his lover closer to his chest before pressing a soft kiss on the forehead and going back to sleep with a small smile on his face ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

shoto has always hated his left side with a passion, as it somehow resembled his father, he grew to hate it more with every passing second he used his power. he seemed to hate it less, however, when it was a particularly colder day.

lately, when the two of you have been sleeping together, you’ve been putting your head on the left side of his chest, making sure you were mostly cuddling only that side when it was cold. sometimes, he’d wake up with blankets all over the place because you got too overheated just from his body heat, although it was freezing the night before.

on the other hand, when it was during the summer and hot, you would switch positions and cuddle with him on his right side, which was colder. sometimes, when the temperature was just right, you would whine and switch positions often, not receiving a good night’s sleep.

but shoto noticed all of this quickly in the relationship, as he was an observer. he didn’t quite understand why you did what you did, switching positions and all that on random days, without a pattern.

though late at night, the two of you lay in his bed when you grabbed an extra blanket and draped it over your bodies, wanting the extra warmth. you cuddled into his left side and wrapped your arm around his waist, and he paused.

did you stay on his left side when you were cold?

when the realization settled in, he sighed at himself for not noticing sooner. it made complete sense now. plus, when you were in a good mood, it was because of the good temperature, but that would change at night when you have to switch positions often. when the heat was scorching, and you took multiple showers throughout the day to wipe yourself off the stink and sweat on your body, you tended to sleep on his right side for the coldness.

he softly smiled and put his hand on your head, rubbing it softly, emitting a soft sigh from you. he bent down a bit to give a small kiss on your forehead, hoping to ease you to sleep. his body became a bit warmer, flushed, and smiling at how your cute habit.

after that night, shoto always wished for the next day to be an extreme temperature, so you two could cuddle and get a good night’s sleep for the next day.
