The struggle

I told my roommate I wanted to try this place on campus since I’ve never been there before and asked if she would go with me & she asked why I couldn’t just go by myself. I preceded to explain how I have high anxiety and just thinking about going by myself made me nervous and anxious and she told me to get over it. It really sucks when your friends don’t understand that you can’t “just get over it “ I wish it was that easy, having anxiety makes it hard for me to meet new people, go new places and makes me overthink everything it truly sucks :(((

I lay awake at night dreaming of us

these thoughts cloud my mind

until the early morn

when I finally realize
