With the final season of She-Ra just 24 hours away, I feel the need to get this one theory I’ve had for a while out before Noelle makes me look like a fool.
Everyone was going crazy of the “Hello, Adora” scene from the trailer, calling it as Catra being brainwashed or something, but completely ignoring the difference in Catra’s greeting, there was something about the scene itself that made me think.
We all remember the heartbreaking episode “Promise” where Light Hope used Catra’s memories to drive a wedge between her and Adora, becoming the catalyst that would ultimate shatter their friendship. But what if this scene was a reverse of that episode?
Imagine for a moment: Horde Prime has Adora and is using whatever device to force Adora to relive her worst memories: her many failures as She-Ra, watching Angella “die”, her fallout with Glimmer, and her best friend becoming her worst enemy. All in order to break the Rebellion’s “Beacon of hope” and show the rest of Etheria the futility of their efforts.
But when Adora reaches the memories of Catra, her subconscious mind starts to slip in good memories of their lives growing up, showing how much they loved each other before they were driven apart. These memories lead to other good memories with the rest of her friends and ends up breaking loose from Prime’s control.
I’d like to believe that if Light Hope drove Adora and Catra apart, maybe Prime will unintentionally start their path to reconciliation. We’ll just have to see tomorrow.

Someone should do a She-Ra/Sly Cooper AU with Catra as Sly, Entrapta as Bentley, Scorpia as Murrey, and Adora as Carmelita.

Redemption
Unpopular opinion, but I personally don’t think Hordak or Shadow Weaver deserve to be redeemed. Hordak created the Horde on Etheria and is thus directly responsibly for ALL the events that took place in the show from stealing Scorpia’s homeland to creating the portal. And Shadow Weaver has an admittedly impressive record of stabbing her allies in the back, manipulating characters like Adora, Micah, and Glimmer to make herself more powerful, and straight up abused Catra without any real explanation beyond the obvious lie she used to emotionally manipulate Catra into helping her escape.
That being said, I am willing to give Hordak a fair chance. He has shown some capacity for change and real human emotions (at least where Entrapta is concerned). Horde Prime even said there was a time where he didn’t want his “brother” to show.
Shadow Weaver, on the other hand, deserves nothing.
She has never once apologized for the things she’s done and continues to use others for her own personal gain even after her so-called “change of heart”.She has shown no capacity for change or any signs of regret; she doesn’t even believe she has done anything wrong and that she is the “good guy”.
If Hordak does get redeemed, I will be fine with it. But if Shadow Weaver does not get some kind of comeuppance by the time the show ends, then there is no justice in the world.

Runestones and the Heart of Etheria
Light Hope said that only five Runestones were needed to activate the Heart of Etheria (which makes me wonder why she asked Adora to gather all the princesses back in season 1 when she only needed a specific few), but we already know that there have been other Runestones too.
Bow’s dad’s believe they have a piece of a destroyed Runestone in their library, which is now guarded by a First One’s robot to add to the credibility. And in Noelle’s most recent book, the Legend of the Fire Princess, it is said that the titular character had a Runestone that gave her fire magic that was corrupted.
Does this mean Light Hopes activated the Heart of Etheria when it wasn’t operating at full efficiency since a couple Runestones were missing?
