Exercise 3: Google BigQuery // Analytics Data Warehouse

This is the version before my final submission. Here I found:
1. Typography is fighting against each other. Condensed typeface seems too aggressive compering to its surrounding. (Druk Condensed/Windors)
2. Music (opening and ending) are not cohesive with the visual. I changed the opening drum beat to another drum clip for the final, and adjusted the ending to make it fades better.
3. Tiny twist in transiting motion (eg. “Female Eye” blow up frames)

In this approach, I decided to go with an even more neutral aesthetic. Contrasting condense font (Druk Condensed) with a cute 70s aesthetic font (Windsor) to make a statement. However, I found the the two fonts where conflicting against each other rather than create an interesting visual. Therefore, I switched to a Windsor focused style in the final version.

Project 1
- In initial concept exploration surrounding with the idea of “eye,” I found two branding examples about “eyes” (”AIGA Eyes on Design” and “Design Thinker - Perspectives”). And some textural photography about eyes.
- I chose “Varela Round” as primary typeface. I was interested in its round and friendly presentation.
- I explore different textural treatments (watercolour brushes and ripped pattern) considering apply them into background or insert into the typography instead of using solid colours.
- I was sold on this ending logomark motion idea: an icon “eye” instead of letter “e”, the eye blink once, then the eye sees the word “eye”, finally the eye changes into letter “e” to form the word“FemmeEye”

I really like the way illustrations regrouped and formed into the letter “4” at the end. It could be use as cool transition from content to wordmark.
